RSSEdwin R. Hall Charged with Capital Murder of Kansas Teen Kelsey Smith … Death Penalty?
26 year old Edwin R. Hall has been charged with capital murder, rape, aggravated 
sodomy. He had previously been charged with kidnapping and killing 18 year old Kelsey Smith. In all, this makes Edwin R. Hall eligible for the death penalty. It couldn’t happen to a more fitting individual. Justice for Kelsey.
OLATHE, Kan. (AP) A man accused of abducting a Kansas teenager from a store parking lot and strangling her was charged Tuesday with capital murder, making him eligible for the death penalty.
Edwin R. Hall, 26, also was charged with rape and aggravated sodomy – counts that were necessary under Kansas law for 18-year-old Kelsey Smith’s slaying to be considered a capital crime.
Hall already had been charged with kidnapping and killing Smith, but Johnson County prosecutor Phill Kline changed the premeditated first-degree murder count to capital murder.

In other sad news in missing persons/crime, the coroner confirmed that the body found Monday morning was identified as Kelly Nolan, a 22-year-old University of Wisconsin-Whitewater student.

When is our justice system ever going to actually protect the public from sex offenders?
How about from sex offenders who have already been arrested? Our judicial system continues to fail us miserably. Case and point, 42 year old, convicted sex offender, Robert Gomez was arrested after a routine search of his home in Florida. What did police find? A 15 year old girl he had met in an on-line chat room laying in his bed.
When a 42-year-old registered sex offender answered the door naked and acting nervous during a surprise check by cops, the officers acted on suspicion and searched his home.
What they found next was a 15-year-old girl in Robert Gomez’s bed, according to MyFoxTampaBay.com.

As Disbared ex-DA Nifong Faces Potential Jail Time & Criminal Charges for Duke LAX Rape … Why Did we Never Hear of the Name Michael Jermaine Burch
A motion has been filed against disbarred and ex-DA Mike Nifong that is asking that criminal charges be filed against him. If granted and found guilty, Nifong could wind up with jail time.
The 42-page motion asked the judge to hold Nifong in criminal contempt of court — particularly in his withholding of pertinent DNA evidence that would have cleared the college students — and to impose sanctions against him. If granted, the prosecutor could land in prison.
As all of this precedes one really must wonder why was it that Nifong pressed so hard against the three Duke Lacrosse player, almost no one knows who Michael Jeraine Burch is. This story is about another rape in a bathroom in Durham, NC that pretty much no ones knows of. I guess its known as the other Duke rape case.
He was charged with second-degree rape.
An 18-year-old female Duke University student told officers that in the early-morning hours of Feb. 11 a man raped her in the bathroom of 405 Gattis St. during a party.
