The Politics of Oscar … What a Shock, Hollywood LEFT Bashes GOP Wisconsin Gov. Walker

Breaking news from last nights Oscars … they are Leftist, union supporting, Republican bashers.

As reported at ABC’s  The Note, during last nights Academy Awards, cinematography winner Wally Pfister went out of his way during his acceptance speech of thanking his union crew on “Inception.” But that’s not where it ended, he went into even greater Leftist politics backstage, off screen where he bashed Wisconsin Go. Scott Walker

Backstage he went further, expressing shock at Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s budget proposal, which would limit union’s collective bargaining powers. Opponents of the plan have been protesting at the state capitol for 21 days.

“I think that what is going on in Wisconsin is kind of madness right now,” Pfister says. “I have been a union member for 30 years and what the union has given to me is security for my family. They have given me health care in a country that doesn’t provide health care and I think unions are a very important part of the middle class in America all we are trying to do is get a decent wage and have medical care.”

Just curious Hollywood, how do all those non-Union folks ever get by?

Oh the amazement and irony of it all of the union label. As stated at Big Hollywood, isn’t it rather comical that  there is “nothing like an Academy Award winner who can afford to send his three children to whatever school he wants coming to the aide of the unions that have destroyed the public schools”.

Another shock, Hollywood types dropping the F-bomb and its just laughed off.

ACLU Upset with President Obama for his TSA Pat-Downs Joke During SOTU … “Violations of the Constitution are NO JOKE!”

It does not appear that all were amused with President Barack Obama’s SOTU speech. The ACLU is expressing their ire over Obama’s TSA pat-down joke. While talking about spending more tax payer dollars on high-speed rail, Obama joked that “you go places in half the time it takes to travel by car and for some trips, it will be faster than flying – without the pat-down.” Needless to say, the ACLU was not amused.

“… for some trips, it will be faster than flying – without the pat-down”

During his third State of the Union address Tuesday night, President Barack Obama cracked a joke about TSA pat-downs – and earned an immediate rebuke from the ACLU.

Awkward laughter and a scattered applause followed as Obama smiled and chuckled.

Moments after the president made the remark, the American Civil Liberties Union fired out a Tweet that read: “President Obama makes funny about TSA pat-downs, but the violations of the Constitution are NO JOKE!”

It was accompanied by a link to a scathing report on the ACLU’s Web site, which noted complaints “from men, women and children who reported feeling humiliated and traumatized by these searches, and, in some cases, comparing their psychological impact to sexual assaults.”

As Weasel Zippers stated, isn’t it great when Progressives attack each other.

The Moonbat LEFT Losing Their Collective Minds Over the Loss of MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann

THE FAR LEFT IS IN MOURNING

The loony LEFT is not taking the demise of Keith Olbermann well. It has been just been a couple of  days since Olbermann said farewell from MSNBC and the LEFT is still reeling with over the top, histrionic crazy talk. Moonbattery has some more tweets that will make you shake your head with the LEFT’s silliness.

What is most interesting about the “hue and cry” throughout moonbatland is the fact that so many feel that Keith Olbermann’s speech has been silenced as if he could never get another gig. Or cant he? If Olbermann is such a hero of the LEFT, I am sure some liberal media outlet would hire him on his merits. There are certainly enough liberal MSM outlets in the industry, if he adds any thing to the conversation.

Ultimately what does the LEFT have to say that their hero left MSNBC because of the $’s, not because of some noble progressive cause?

What is lost in all the over the top histrionics of the LEFT claiming to have lost their “progressive” voice and the squelching of free speech is that Keith Olbermann left MSNBC because he wanted more money. Simply speaking, Olbermann wanted more money, MSNBC disagreed and Keith Olbermann departed. As we learned, this was not a knee jerk reaction as seen by the last minute farewell from Olbermann, but weeks in the making of a contract negotiation. What will the LEFTthink that their hero was about money, not about the progressive cause? Yet in the end, Olbermann hardly has the ratings to play a game of chicken with management brass.

More MSNBC Civility: US Rep. Cohen (TN-D) Compares Mike Pence to Goebbels, Ed Schultz Agrees

Oh that liberal civility …

The liberal hate continues from US Rep. Steve Cohen (TN-D) via the airwaves of MSNBC. Cohen went on to MSNBC and was interviewed by Ed Schultz following Cohen’s hateful comments where he compared Republicans to Nazi’s. As stated by NewsBusters, the interview began as some what of an apology from Cohen; however, it wound up being something much different.

The interview actually started out seeming to be an opportunity for Cohen to apologize for his Tuesday comments, with Schultz asking: “Congressman, did you go too far there?” Cohen seemed hesitantly remorseful: “Well, apparently so because a lot of people, I guess, hold a strict liability rule on mentioning the Holocaust or anything….I’ve learned that lesson, I guess.” However, he quickly added: “But everything I said was true and I think people agree that it was true. That there’s been a message. It’s been given over and over and over and it’s a lie.”

Shultz followed up: “But do you feel like you, you know, brought us to a point where there should not have been a comparison, because the Holocaust was so horrific, as opposed to a repeal on health care?…Are you sorry for making the connection?” Cohen was more affirmative in an apology: “I definitely am. And I’m sorry any Jewish people, my Republican colleagues, or anybody, got the wrong impression….I hate if I participated in anything that made my congress, which I’m greatly honored to be a member of, or my district, which I love, have any problems.”

The irony of it all or is it just pathetic liberal, moonbat journalism. As Hot Air points out, during the MSLSD interview  there was an “over the line” graphics up, yet never did Ed Schultz challenge Cohen.

It would appear that Steven Cohen has become the new Alan Grayson for the Democrats. He continued his hateful rhetoric and lack of civility after saying that he has learned his lesson, Cohen went on to compare Pence to Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels and receiving no resistance from Ed Schultz.

Where is the Ed Show in the ratings?

With Keith Olbermann now a thing of the past on MSNBC, I would be awfully careful if I were Ed Schultz as he just might be next. with such low cable news ratings, Ed Schultz might want to watch his P’s and Q’s as who else would ever hire him if he loses his MSNBC gig.

Its that New Barack Obama Tone of Politics … Democrat Steve Cohen Says Republicans Are Like Goebbels & Nazis … Dems new Alan Grayson

US Rep. Steve Cohen (TN-D) fails to live up to 9 year old Tucson, AZ shooting victims  Christina Taylor Green’s expectations …

So this is the CIVILITY we can expect from Democrats after Barack Obama made a plea  … Democrats are back at the hate. The Democrats have their new Alan Grayson.

US Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) seems to have not received the memo from Barack Obama who asked for their to be a greater civility in the political discourse. Cohen wasted no time following Obama’s Tucson speech toevoke Nazi’s and Goebbles to make a comparison to Republicans and the so-called “big lie” of Obamacare.

File this one under, that didn’t take long and a leopard does not change its spots. Just nine months ago Steve Cohen (TN-D) compared the Tea Party to the KKK.

New Tone: Democrat Steve Cohen Says GOP Like Goebbels, Nazis in Health Care Debate

“They say it’s a government takeover of health care, a big lie just like Goebbels,” Cohen said. “You say it enough, you repeat the lie, you repeat the lie, and eventually, people believe it. Like blood libel. That’s the same kind of thing. And Congressman Cohen didn’t stop there.
“The Germans said enough about the Jews and people believed it–believed it and you have the Holocaust. We heard on this floor, government takeover of health care. Politifact said the biggest lie of 2010 was a government takeover of health care because there is no government takeover,” Cohen said.

What leadership, President Barack Obama cannot control his own party, why would any one think he could lead a country? It would appear that Obama’s Tucson speech has fallen on deaf ears.

I believe we can be better. Those who died here, those who saved lives here – they help me believe. We may not be able to stop all evil in the world, but I know that how we treat one another is entirely up to us. I believe that for all our imperfections, we are full of decency and goodness, and that the forces that divide us are not as strong as those that unite us.

That’s what I believe, in part because that’s what a child like Christina Taylor Green believed. Imagine: here was a young girl who was just becoming aware of our democracy; just beginning to understand the obligations of citizenship; just starting to glimpse the fact that someday she too might play a part in shaping her nation’s future. She had been elected to her student council; she saw public service as something exciting, something hopeful. She was off to meet her congresswoman, someone she was sure was good and important and might be a role model. She saw all this through the eyes of a child, undimmed by the cynicism or vitriol that we adults all too often just take for granted.

I want us to live up to her expectations. I want our democracy to be as good as she imagined it. All of us – we should do everything we can to make sure this country lives up to our children’s expectations.
