Moonbat Keith Olbermann & Countdown Is Out at MSNBC – Na, Na, Na, Na, Hey, Hey, Goodbye

DING, DONG OLBERMANN AND COUNTDOWN IS GONE … GOOD RIDDANCE!!!

Effective immediately, Keith Olbermann is out at MSNBC. It just goes to show you, ratings or no ratings, if new management thinks you are a liability, you are out. Keith Olbermann, the far left moonbat and MSNBC’s highest rated host is out, effectively immediately.

Na, Na, Na, Na, Hey, Hey, Hey … Goodbye

The host, who has had a stormy relationship with the management of the network for some time, especially since he was suspended for two days last November, came to an agreement with NBC’s corporate management late this week to settle his contract and step down.

In a closing statement on his show, Mr. Olbermann said simply that it would be the last edition of the program. He offered no explanation other than on occasion “all that surrounded the show – but never the show itself – was just too much for me.”

Olbermann’s swan song speech hardly sounds like his rantings of the worst person in the world

The official statement from NBS reads as follows:

STATEMENT REGARDING KEITH OLBERMANN:

MSNBC and Keith Olbermann have ended their contract. The last broadcast of “Countdown with Keith Olbermann” will be this evening. MSNBC thanks Keith for his integral role in MSNBC’s success and we wish him well in his future endeavors.

As reported at the NY Times, NBC execs claim that the sacking of Olbermann had nothing to do with the impending Comcast takeover.

NBC executives said the move had nothing to do with the impending takeover of NBC Universal by Comcast. With viewers and fans of Mr. Olbermann suggesting that Comcast was responsible for forcing Mr. Olbermann out, Comcast also released an official statement late Friday night:

“Comcast has not closed the transaction for NBC Universal and has no operational control at any of its properties including MSNBC. We pledged from the day the deal was announced that we would not interfere with NBC Universal’s news operations. We have not and we will not.”

MSNBC announced that “The Last Word” with Lawrence O’Donnell would replace “Countdown” at 8 p.m., with “The Ed Show” with Ed Schultz taking Mr. O’Donnell’s slot at 10 p.m. Mr. Olbermann did not discuss any future plans, but NBC executives said one term of his settlement would keep him from moving to another network for an extended period of time.

Needless to say the folks at the Daily Kos are going off the deep end. The comments are amusing at best. The moonbats are having a memorial that their insane voice has been silenced. However all us us know the real reason why Olbermann is gone, it was Bush’s fault, or was it Sarah Palin?

proud of Keith’s homage to him.  Murrow was up against the same corruption & BS.  Senator Joe McCarthy of Michele Bachman’s homestate.
Keith’s special comments were needed.  So many of us were screaming at our TVs, but we couldnt be heard.  Keith did it for us.
Comments were needed to expose Donald Rumsfeld, Dick Cheney, Condi Rice, George Tenet, the 5 Supremes….it’s a long list.
George W. Bush, waterboarding, the outing of Valerie Plame.   I could go on, but I wont.
Our voice has been silenced.
PEACE–TRUTH–DONT GIVE UP OUR PROGRESSIVE VALUES!

Helped me thru the “dark years” of Chenney/Bush. I feel like I’ve lost one of my life-lines with Keith now gone. But maybe I can make lemon-ade out of lemons here. I can rid myself of a very expensive and useless subscription to pay tv. Maybe listen to more music. Maybe read more….

Oh but wait, more great comments from the LEFT at the HuffPo, I guess they will be wearing black armbands today. Just to show how insane the LEFT is going, there are over 24,000 comments and counting on this story. As is it was really important.

  • I am sickened by this and what it portends for liberal commentary in this country. I’ll boycott msnbccomcast and start relying on HuffPo for op/ed news.
  • The tea party is taking our country back day by day
  • It’s funny to read the comments here by the trolls. They keep talking about ratings or the liberal media. So far I have not seen anyone comment that Olberman wasn’t truthful. That’s why the cons don’t like him. He shows the people the lies of the Republicans night after night.
  • How MSNBC and Phil Griffith can justify their pettiness with Olbermann’s enormous sense of doing the right thing is: WORST THING IN THE WORLD….no, really.

Much, much more from The Other McCain.

The real question is, who will be next at MSNBC? Its hard to imagine that if Olbermann is expendable that there will not be more head that will roll. Oh wait, was that not PC enough for the LEFT?

I would have no idea why this is such a big surprise, anybody watching Countdown could see him losing his sanity week after week, rather pathetic in a sad sort of way.

Hey, Keith! We hardly knew ye! Maybe you can call your girl Oprah and appear on her new Network with Striesand and Michelle.

The SNL skit on him was hilarious, too BTW.
