Presidential Elections are about the 3 C’s … Credibility, Courage and Character … Remember that when You Vote for McCain or Obama Today

CREDIBILITY, COURAGE AND CHARACTER

A tip before voting … After all the political rhetoric, after all the political speeches and after all the political commercials, debates and spinning. When one goes to the poll to cast their vote (hopefully they are legally registered to vote and vote only once) your decision should be about the credibility, courage and character of a candidate. Not the hype, the promises or the claims of change. When it comes down to it all we really have is our credibility, courage and character. That is ultimately what we vote for.

All too often, no matter who what the party affiliation is of the candidate, promises are made and things are said that will never come to fruition. However, credibility, courage and character are always there and are the only thing that a voter really has when the curtain is closed and the choice is to be made. It is not about a political ad, a promised entitlement or a far fetched political promise. It is certainly not about how slick one may speak and the promises of change.

For myself and hopefully many others, in the end there are only these 3 C’s that determine how an individual will govern and what type of leader they will be. Forgetting all past candidate associations like Obama and Ayers, Wright, Rezco, and former terrorist spokesman Rashid Khalidi. Do those who one associate with matter, they certainly do. However, we will look at the defining moments that speak volumes about the two candidates. Think really hard about the following two scenarios as they are like night and day and tell us, “We the People” all we really need to know.

Does being a POW qualify one to be President of the United States? No. However, it certainly defines one character and courage. Character is defined by what a person does when no one is looking. When there is nothing to gain. Only God is watching. When the moment of truth was placed upon John McCain in going home from Vietnam or have the torture and beatings continued, McCain made the decision to place his fellow soldiers and country first. Imagine in the “me first” society of today having the decision to take the easy way out or face a most certain misery. John McCain chose country over his own self. As Sarah Palin has said many times during the campaign, there has really only been one person in this Presidential campaign who has fought for his country.

For 20 years Barack Obama sat in the pews at Trinity United Church in Chicago. For 20 years he listened to the reverend Wright and his numerous sermons. For 20 years Barack Obama had no problem with Wright or the message. Personally, it is an individuals choice to attend the church that they are most comfortable with. That is a person’s individual choice. For 20 years while no one was watching Obama sat back and never had an issue. However, when the spot light was on him and the world saw Reverend Wright and what the church was all about … Obama made the politically expedient move and quit the church. Honestly, I would have had more respect for Obama if he had stayed. For his own political career, and for himself alone, Obama left a church where he went for 20 years. Even Jerry Nadler recently commented, “Obama didn’t have the political courage to make a statement and walk out.” What does that tell you about one’s character, courage or credibility?

The information is out there America, you just have to wake up an inform yourself. Character does matter. In the end … its all that we really have.

We have seen this act before. In 1976 with a disgruntled American electorate still upset with the Nixon Administration America voted in Jimmy Carter, an inexperienced politician and peanut farmer from Plains, GA. The stagflation, misery index and double digit interest rates, unemployment and inflation that followed was catastrophic. The gas lines, odd-even fuel rationing and miserably failed foreign policy with Iran and the former Soviet Union ruled the day. People wanted change in 1976 and were angered by the previous Presidents administration. The promise of change is some times is not a good thing as one never really knows if the change is beneficial for a country.

Change is not one of the 3 C’s of electing a candidate for President for one obvious reason. It is a knee jerk, emotional reaction to a present situation. As we have learned in life, never is anything as good or as bad as it appears to be. However, there is always someone telling us it is the best or worst of times for their own agenda. Ask the voters of 1976 is they wished they could change their vote? Well, in 1980 the American voter had another opportunity to right a wrong and elected Republican Ronald Reagan in a landslide.

Barack Obama and Joe Biden may be looking out for you with entitlements; however, John McCain and Sarah Palin are looking out for America. Remember that when you vote today. Not wanting to pay higher taxes is not selfish. Wanting other people’s money for doing nothing is.

Is the Presidential Race Tightening (McCain Behind by 3) … Many Respectable Polls Seem to think So

Barack Obama may not want to measure the Oval Office drapes just yet or start prematurely or presumptively picking his Presidential Cabinet. Some very respectable polls are showing that the race is tightening and the Obama lead is shrinking. In an effort to pander to middle of the road Republican leaning voters, Obama states that his Cabinet would be bi-partisan. Does anyone really think that Obama plane to share is “Presidential wealth” with Republicans? A socialist does have their limits.

Obama … here is some change you can believe in, the polls they are a changin’. A recent Rasmussen daily tracking poll has the Presidential race down to an Obama 3 point lead.

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows Barack Obama attracting 50% of the vote nationwide while John McCain earns 47%. This is the first time McCain has been within three points of Obama in more than a month and the first time his support has topped 46% since September 24.

The IBD/TIPP Tracking Poll also has the race with an Obama 3 point lead with 6 days to go before the election. According to the Traditional Gallup Daily Tracking poll, Obama has a 3 point lead as well. Is it possible that McCain may make this a race after all and it will be a long election night before a candidate is declared a winner?

The question remains, are any of the polls accurate? Could the country be headed to a 2008 version of the famous 1948 upset election, … DEWEY WINS!!!

McCain Campaign Demands that LA Times Release Tape of Barack Obama, Rashid Khalidi & Bill Ayers

The John McCain campaign is asking the LA Times to release a video tape of a party for a prominent Palestinian activist that Barack Obama attended in 2003. So why won’t the LA Times release the tape … WHAT ARE THEY HIDING!!!

John McCain’s campaign is demanding that the Los Angeles Times release a video of a party for a prominent Palestinian activist that Barack Obama attended in 2003.

The Times described the going-away party for former University of Chicago professor, and Obama friend, Rashid Khalidi, in a story in April. The story reported that Palestinians thought they might have a friend in Obama because of his friendships in that community, despite the fact that his positions have never been particularly pro-Palestinian.

“A major news organization is intentionally suppressing information that could provide a clearer link between Barack Obama and Rashid Khalidi,” said McCain spokesman Michael Goldfarb, citing Obama’s friendship with Khalidi, who is now a professor at Columbia University.

He said the video could, among other things, show how Obama responded to a poem recited at the party accusing Israel of “terrorism” and warning of consequences for U.S. support for Israel, which Goldfarb described as “hate speech.”

It is safe to that whether the liberal MSM had permission or not from the source if a video tape was damning to John McCain there would have been a world premier of it and all network programming would have been preempted. However, the LA Times who has already endorsed Barack Obama for President refuses to release a controversial tape of Obama, Rashid Khalidi and Ayers at a party. What are they afraid of and what are they hiding? Why are they holding back the tape? Its is obvious that they are once again carrying the water for Obama and do not want the Anerican public to see the truth of what Obama is really all about.

What Will America be Like with a Democratic President, House and Senate … Increase Taxes, Decrease Military and Socialism

Can America afford to have four years of a Democratic controlled House, Senate and Presidency? Tax and spend liberals in control with no checks and balances … the premise is frightening.

If anyone thinks that there will not be increases in taxes on all with a Democratically controlled House, Senate and Presidency then you have not been paying attention to politics for the past 50 years.

There are basically always two major issues during a Presidential campaign, the economy and national security. Of course there are many other issues that attack people’s attention like healthcare, illegal immigration, social security … However, when one goes to the polls this November they need to make their decision bases on the future of the US economy and the fate of our national security and who best can lead America with those two issues.

We have already heard that Democrat Barack Obama wants to institute socialism and a “spread the wealth” policy as a way to how America’s economy is to go forward. Maybe the actual phrase from Obama that people can better understand is “spread your income.” This is no gaffe on Obama’s part, he defends his economic socialism plan of spreading your income to others who have done nothing to deserve benefiting from it. Why would anyone think that the Government can take better care of individuals or businesses in reallocating the monies when they cannot even take care of their own house? Redistribution of wealth is not neighborly, it is socialism. People giving and providing others through charity, that is neighborly. The government forcing people to give to others is hardly what our Founding Fathers ever envisioned.

McCain Ads Hit Obama on “Spread the Wealth” Comments

John McCain TV Ad

On issues of national security the choice between Barack Obama and John McCain are like night and day. There may never have been two candidates coming from such opposite view points and such a drastic difference in experience that Obama and McCain. Is it any wonder why America’s enemies like Chavez fear McCain and look forward to an Obama Presidency?

There is a reason why the overwhelming majority of the US Armed Forces back John McCain and why many of the United States enemies endorse Barack Obama. Making matters worse, Democrats like U.S. Rep. Barney Frank want to decrease the military budget by 25% while also stating that taxes will be increased. Barney Frank, one of the many Democrats who just sat by and watched Fannie Mae fall apart while he refused to hear the warnings of its collapse.

BIAS MSM in the Tank for Barack Obama … One Cannot Deny the Facts the MSM is Obama Propaganda

According to the PEW Research Center’s Project for Excellence in Journalism the media has been in the tank for Barack Obama in a most decided way. Who would have ever thought. The MSM covering McCain in a more negative light than Obama, say it isn’t so. Why would the media ever try to take the side of one candidate over another, especially when that candidate agrees with their liberal agenda. Hmm? Sadly enough during this Presidential election campaign the media has finally shown its true colors and can never be trusted again to report anything honestly without their liberal slant and agenda. Any objective pretense is gone when one openly roots for one candidate over another. As Power Line states by their reaction to this study, No Surprise here. The media is supposed to protect us from government, not take sides with it. That would be called propaganda, not media.

The media coverage of the race for president has not so much cast Barack Obama in a favorable light as it has portrayed John McCain in a substantially negative one, according to a new study of the media since the two national political conventions ended.

Press treatment of Obama has been somewhat more positive than negative, but not markedly so.
But coverage of McCain has been heavily unfavorable—and has become more so over time. In the six weeks following the conventions through the final debate, unfavorable stories about McCain outweighed favorable ones by a factor of more than three to one—the most unfavorable of all four candidates—according to the study by the Pew Research Center’s Project for Excellence in Journalism.

Study: Media Portrays McCain in “Substantially Negative” Light Compared to Obama. The media would have “We the People” believe that Sarah Palin is a drag on the McCain ticket when every honest thinking person knows it is just the opposite. Many Republicans are engaged in the process only because of Sarah. Where is the media attention to Biden and his obvious gaffes that have affected Obama in a negative way?
