Reaction from Aruba and Dave Holloway from new Arrest in Aruba

The new arrest in Aruba of a 19 year old Dutch National has set the speculation and theories in to over drive of the possibilities that might result. Of course the fact that this arrest was done on Easter weekend seems to be par for similar events that have occurred in Aruba in the past over long holiday weekends. The attorney for Joran Van der Sloot, Antonio Carlo, maintained his client’s innocence in discussing the recent arrest of the individual with the initials, “G.V.C.”.

Antonio Carlo, attorney for Dutch national Joran van der Sloot, who was arrested last year but then released for lack of evidence, said he hoped the new arrest would shed light on what happened to Holloway, an honors student from Mountain Brook, Ala., who disappeared on May 30. It was the final night of the 18-year-old’s high school graduation trip to this Dutch Caribbean island.

“My client has from the beginning maintained his innocence, and I think the sooner this case is resolved, the better,” Carlo told The Associated Press in a telephone interview from his home, adding that he did not know the name of the suspect.

“We will wait and see what comes of this arrest,” he said.

Dave Holloway … With Greta Van Susteren, Corruption in Paradise.

Dave Holloway went ‘On The Record’ April 10, 2006 with Greta Van Susteren to discuss his new book due out shortly, “Aruba, the Tragic Untold Story of Natalee Holloway and Corruption in Paradise.” Much of what Dave Holloway and the family has endured can be summed up rather brief and to the point.

VAN SUSTEREN: I think the last time I saw you was at a landfill at about 110 degrees in Aruba. Dave holloway gma

HOLLOWAY: That’s right, yes.

VAN SUSTEREN: I mean it’s like it was pure hell down there.

HOLLOWAY: Tough conditions. We went through a lot in Aruba and still going through it, very difficult times.

Dave Holloway (GMA): “Aruba: The Tragic Untold Story of Natalee Holloway and Corruption in Paradise.”

Dave Holloway went on Good Morning America to publicize the release of his newDaves book book dealing with the disappearance of his daughter Natalee Holloway, Aruba: The Tragic Untold Story of Natalee Holloway and Corruption in Paradise.” Looking back ten months now since Natalee Holloway went missing, I guess we all should have been suspect and reading to deal with the confusion, cover-up and ordeal that would bestow the Holloway’s and Twitty’s.

He said that when he first arrived on the island, he stopped at two police stations to inquire about his daughter’s disappearance and was asked for money.

“The detective in charge, the first question he asked me was how much money I had,” he said. “I was in a state of shock. We finally gathered ourselves together and met with him and decided that we probably would be doing this search on our own.”Dave holloway gma

Over the past year we have seen Dave Holloway support the investigation and initially be opposed to a boycott of Aruba in hopes of finding his daughter. Dave Holloway backed th Aruban investigation in to the disappearance of Natalee until he could not in good conscience continue. Day after week after month Dave Holloway say the charade that was the investigation and search for his daughter. To the point where today some in Aruba have the audacity to actually blame the family for hampering the investigation and also accuse them of being involved in the disappearance. Dave Holloway wants answers, like any parent would. He also wants to remind and warn Americans to think twice and engage in understanding what happens when once gets on a plane and goes on vacation.

Gerold Dompig Removed from Natalee Holloway Investigation

Only a couple of weeks after Gerold Dompig appeared on CSB 48 Hours stating that the Natalee Holloway investigation was in its final critical stage; Deputy Chief Dompig finds himself off the case. Gerold Dompig was removed from the case and replaced by Adolph Richardson.

NBC13 News spoke to Natalee Holloway’s father, Dave, on Wednesday, and he confirmed that Aruba’s deputy chief of police, Gerold Dompig, has been released from the search. Neither Holloway nor other Aruban investigators are saying specifically why Dompig has been removed.

From Dompig’s comments during the Vanity Fair article to the 48 Hours interview; he stated some rather inappropriate comments in all but saying that Natalee Holloway was responsible for her own death with a drug overdose. As Gerold Dompig stated, “NATALEE HOLLOWAY WAS NOT MURDERED.”

Dompig’s actions according to Natalee’s dad, Dave Holloway have been suspect at best.
