Scared Monkeys at New York City Jacob Javits Convention Center Protesting Aruba and Reminding All … Justice for Natalee Holloway
Price of a hotel room to go to Boston or NYC Travel Shows … $60.00 on priceline.com (Free if one lives close enough to drive to events)
Cost of food for the two day at the a travel show … $80.00
Using your God given Inalienable Rights of free speech to take on Aruba’s million dollar tourism marketing campaign and bring it to its knees while providing Justice for Natalee … PRICELESS!!!
The Monkeys take Manhattan.
The NYC Travel Show is taking place at the Jacob Javits Convention Center from February 29 to March 2, 2008 and Scared Monkeys was there to remind all and especially Aruba that with out Justice For Natalee … there will be no tourism for Aruba. If there is a travel show with Aruba present … there will also be Scared Monkeys there as a constant reminder to all potential tourists.
From the preliminary reports that were provided from audio call ins from the Travel Show, the Aruba booth was in no man’s land and appeared to be a ghost town with no one at it inquiring about vacations to Aruba. The exact quote, “the Aruba booths looked pretty naked”. Also absent from the NYC Travel Show Aruba contingent was Rob Smith, head of the AHATA. A rather amazing turn of events seeing that New York City is supposed to be one of Aruba’s biggest tourism markets in the United States. Maybe Aruba just doesn’t care and like most of there actions of late they just take it for granted that tourists will go to Aruba no matter what actions or lack of action they provide.
Many thanks to those that took the time to go provide a voice for Natalee Holloway in NYC. Also a special thanks to new Monkeys that came to the show and the many people that expressed their support. If you think this is not a Malox moment for Aruban tourism officials, think again. They are spending millions while their message is being opposed and defeated by peanuts.

Stay tuned for many for pics to follow.

Airports Council International List of 5 ‘best airport in Latin-America and Caribbean’ … Missing is Aruba’s Queen Beatrix International Airport
Every year the Airports Council International (ACI) assesses airports worldwide with Airport Service Quality Awards as well as for the best airport in Latin-America and the Caribbean. Conspicuously absent on this list is Aruba’s, Queen Beatrix International Airport.
Best Caribbean/Latin-American airport is that of Guayaquil (Ecuador), followed by San José (Costa Rica), Mexico City (Mexico), and Port of Spain (Trinidad & Tobago).
So how is it that an island that claims to be the number one place to vacation in the Caribbean does not show up on the top 5 airports in Latin-America and the Caribbean? Coming soon to a ATA and AHATA travel brochure, Aruba … not on the list of top 5 airports in the Caribbean, service and safety is not out motto.
