Barack “The Obamamessiah” Obama has Yet to Attend Church Since Winning Presidential Election

Could this be the CHANGE that Obama was talking about during the campaign … not attending church?

This is rather curious, Barack Obama has yet to attend a church service since he won the Presidential election. The Obamamessiah does not feel the need nor the want to attend church service. This coming from the man that stated he never missed a church service for approximately 20 years when Obama and his family attended Reverend Wright’s (God Damn America and US of KKK) Chicago’s Trinity United Church of Christ. Heading to the gym instead of church on Sunday? As the future President of the United States, Barack Obama is supposed to set a trend and example for the people to follow. His actions and comments show what America has in store for the next four years. Frankly, not attending church after making his faith important during the Presidential campaign is unsettling to say the least.

President-elect Barack Obama has yet to attend church services since winning the White House earlier this month, a departure from the example of his two immediate predecessors.

On the three Sundays since his election, Obama has instead used his free time to get in workouts at a Chicago gym.

As Flopping Aces boldly puts it, “When your supporters think you are god I suppose you don’t feel the need to worship the real one!”

The LEFT can defend Obama’s actions and trivialize it all they want regarding not attending church and blame others for Reverend Wright’s racist comments; however, there is an issue here. Barack Obama made church and religion an issue during the campaign. He embraced his religious values in his best attempt to make people believe he was running like a Republican. I am not sure if I take it as far as the Astute Blogger in referencing Obama as a psychopath; however, I do agree that the whole “Christian” thing as being a ruse. One that was based on pandering to religious Christian voters. It is extremely hard to believe that a Christian could say all the things that Obama did during the campaign and sit through Reverend Wright’s sermons for 20 years and not have a problem with the hate spewed venom.

Now we are left with a President elect making excuses for why he is not attending church services. How does one make excuses to continue their religious path in life and their relationship with God?

Asked about the president-elect’s decision to not attend church, a transition aide noted that the Obamas valued their faith experience in Chicago but were concerned about the impact their large retinue may have on other parishioners.

“Because they have a great deal of respect for places of worship, they do not want to draw unwelcome or inappropriate attention to a church not used to the attention their attendance would draw,” said the aide.

He is done with Rev. Wright and his crowd. He used them to get “connections” and left them high and dry. Much like everyone else he has, and will use up and toss away.

Can you believe it? OSAMA bin Laden Barack SADDAM HUSSEIN Obama (don’t ya just love my “PET”/attention getting name for Obama…lol?) hasn’t been to church since winning the election…

Obama once attended the most RACIST, hate mongering church in the USA!! He must be shopping around hoping to find another church just like Wright’s. Only difference will be the preacher keeps a low profile, and doesn’t distribute CDs of his hateful, race baited sermons…

Yes it is part of the change. It’s sad to say but Obama was just using religion for political gain.

BTW, great blog that you have here. I’m looking to blog roll you on my website if you’re willing to in return. Let me know.

I’m sure there are some good Churches in the Washington D.C. area. MAYBE he’s going to pick one after he gets settled in. We shall see.

“Barack Obama made church and religion an issue during the campaign.”
Stop there. Did he now? Did he promise to lead the nation with a “servants heart”? Did she pray that the Iraq war was God’s plan and that God willed a pipeline to be built? The mingling of religion into politics is strictly a fundamentalist idea, and the last I heard, fundamentalists are clamoring for Palin 2012.

Does it even matter if Obama goes to church? Does it matter whether ANY PERSON goes to church? I can see your point, that he may have been using religion for his own ends, but that isn’t even CLOSE to the abuse of religion by fundamentalists.

    6. Rusty Bridges on November 24th, 2008 9:38 am

Fundamentalists? Where was that in the topic? Obama claims to be a Christian but doesn’t go to church on Sunday, that is the point. Pointing out another lie in a string of lies is all we are saying.

Yes I’m sure that there are all sorts of nice churches around DC. Any good Christian would start looking immediatly. Instead Obama must worship his true religion, himself.

    7. Michelle on November 24th, 2008 10:13 am

Yes it does matter if he goes to Church. He claims to be a Christian, yet he doesn’t go to church on Sunday’s. He claimed to be a Christian to dispel the rumors that he is a Muslim. Is he or is he not a Christian? Make up your mind Mr. Obama.

More lies from “the chosen one”

    8. RBH on November 24th, 2008 10:46 am

      1. We all worship in our own ways
      2. It is none of your business what he does religiously. He elected him to be a secular president, not a pope.
      3. Maybe you self-serving Pharicees should stop praying so loudly in the temple worry about your own backyard.

    9. Leon on November 24th, 2008 11:21 am

There are MANY Christians who don’t go to church. A number of Founding Fathers were Deists, among them John Adams, James Madison and several other prominent men. Deists didn’t go to church – they repudiated Scripture in favor of reason. And they churned out the Constitution and engineered the American Revolution.
If he was a Muslim or an Atheist anyways, his comments on the subject aside, would it matter? The only reason politicians claim to be Christian is that 74% of Republicans and 50% of Democrats would be less supportive of an Atheist in office, even when it would have absolutely NO SWAY on public policy disregarding social issues such as abortion.

    10. Murph on November 24th, 2008 12:15 pm

He prays toward Mecca every 4 hours on a rug so no need for church!!

    11. Melanie on November 24th, 2008 1:14 pm

5 words for all you religious people living in fantasy land…Separation of Church and State
Not everyone lives their life according to a bible. We are all required to follow the same laws, not religious verses.

    12. Michelle on November 24th, 2008 1:19 pm

It is absolutely our business what his religious beliefs are if he is going to be making decisions that effect all of us. GOD has been taken out of enough things in this country already. If we have someone who is MUSLIM or an Atheist they will not care about Religion and we will lose our rights as Christians. This is the man who will be in charge of our Country for the next 4 years. I know I’m not alone on this when I say that I & others do not want an atheist, or a Muslim for President. Just because a person claims to be Christian doesn’t make it so. I can’t see how a person can claim to be a Christian and vote for someone who is in favor of abortion, gay marriage among other things. Yes, it does have an effect on social issues. Abortion is murder and should not be legalized. A person who is not a Christian doesn’t see abortion as murder or believes that it’s the woman’s right to choose who lives or dies. Obama claiming he is a Christian proves my point. Anybody can claim to be a Christian doesn’t make it so. GOD expects Christians to go to Church and worship him, so yes if you are a Christian you need to be going to Church and living right.

      Dear Editor,

The election of Obama, as indicated by recent letters to the
editor, has motivated a plethora of hate letters. Strange that they all
seem to regurgitate the same vomit you can hear every day on Fox News or
from “ditto heads”. I guess we have elected a Socialist, Muslim, who
consorts with known terrorist, and can hardly wait to destroy this
Nation. After eight years of Bush I would have voted for a retarded
possum. By the way,the Dems have not controlled Congress for the last
two years.(another little Republican spin)They controlled the House.
Bush (for his first six years) never vetoed a single bill .When the
House went Democratic he vetoed everything and the Senate supported him
by blocking any over rides. The shape this country is in lies directly
at the feet of Republicans. Regardless, I have never seen such vitrol
and venom before an elected official takes office. Can’t these people
wait for the man to be in office for at least one day before proving
their ignorance. The least they could do is brand an ( I )on their
forehead so that people will know not to waste time conversing with an
      idiot.
While I’m venting, I’m getting a little tired of the continuing
effort to cannonize Reagan. He espoused the usual Republican mantra of
cutting taxes, reducing government and staying within budget. In
reality, the government grew under his tenure,he left a three trillion
dollar debt, and broke the law under Iran-Contra. By the way, the great
Oliver North actually belongs in jail for shredding documents and lying
to Congress. So, please spare me for your desire to return to those good
      old days.

Hmmm….what Washington DC church is the Bush family a member of? NONE.
What Church did Reagan attend? NONE.

The only presidents in my lifetime who have regularly attended (a public) church are Clinton and Carter. Even in THAT sample, I would guess we would be batting 50/50 on the public opinion of “real Christian”.

    19. Joe on March 19th, 2009 11:10 am

The primary – immediate – issue here is DID HE SAY ONE THING AND THEN DO SOMETHING ELSE? Don’t be distracted by the content of his lie – even though it (his religious awareness) is an important point, but not the first point that must be recognized. A Lie is a weaon of war – deception gets the enemy to move a direction thet would not normally go. WE are his enemy, and he will say what is necessary to deceive us into accepting his goals.
