Ahmadinejad Arrives for New York Visit US Hate PR Tour … Guest of Dishonor at Columbia University
Today Iranian President Ahmadinejad heads to Columbia University to give speech ad an (DIS)honored speaker. What a disgrace. A University that claims its all about free speech, yet manages to be selective in that very process.
They ask why a school that will not allow an ROTC program to be part of its curriculum would allow Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, one of America’s avowed enemies, onto its campus.
I wonder how the Jewish alumni of Columbia feel right now, or anything right thinking one for that matter. Columbia University has even gone so far as saying, they “would welcome any notable figure visiting the United States — even Adolf Hitler himself.” They would allow Hitler, but not the ROTC?
Ahmadinejad is to speak and answer questions at a Columbia forum Monday, followed by a scheduled address to the U.N. General Assembly on Tuesday. Columbia’s invitation has drawn howls from politicians, religious groups and other organizations. But the university has not backed down, and its president, Lee Bollinger has promised to grill Ahmadinejad on subjects such as human rights, the Holocaust and Iran’s disputed nuclear program.
Iranian president to face protests in New York
The outspoken Iranian leader, who has openly called for the destruction of Israel and questioned the scale of the Holocaust, is due to speak at Columbia University on Monday, a day before addressing the UN General Assembly.
The Iranian leader said before leaving Tehran earlier Sunday that the visit would allow him to meet independent politicians from Tehran’s arch foe and give Iran a platform to address the international community.
Ahmadinejad arrives for New York visit
Columbia President Lee Bollinger has promised to grill Ahmadinejad on subjects such as human rights, the Holocaust and Iran’s disputed nuclear program. The Iranian leader previously has called the Holocaust “a myth” and called for Israel to be “wiped off the map.”
Bollinger said Monday it was a question of free speech and academic freedom.
UPDATE I: Ahmadinejad faces public dressing down at US university
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was treated to a humiliating and public dressing down when he appeared at a top US university Monday, where he was described as a “petty and cruel dictator.”
UPDATE II:‘No homosexuals in Iran’: Ahmadinejad
And if there were Ahmadinejad … What’s wrong with that?
(OH REALLY!!!)
“In Iran we don’t have homosexuals like in your country,” Ahmadinejad said to howls and boos among the Columbia University audience.
“In Iran we do not have this phenomenon, I don’t know who has told you that we have it,” he said.

What you really are witnessing (besides the total disgrace and regard for those that died at the hands of this evil man)is the total demise of Columbia University.
There will be tons of alumni who will refuse to give anything to them now and the government has announced they will not get any more US government money. There can be no positive spin on this unless they are now going to be supported by the Iranians.
Totally bogus, free speech at Columbia?
Not for our nations own.

Biting the hand that feeds.
Columbia is too ignorant to be shameful
This is the same guy that was one of the captors holding our hostages in Iran under Ayatollah. Apparently that stint helped propel him to his current position as leader of Iran. This too, is the same guy that has publically announced his self view as the one who is “selected” by Allah to bring about the G’jad, in apopcylyptic proportions to the world so that Allah can be ushered in to us “infidels”.
This guy is responsible for supplying weapons and funding to the insurgents in Iraq who are killing our troops. This guy publically praised the death toll of 9-1-1 and issued a National Holiday to celebrate the demise in the streets of Iran. He publically spoke about the significance of the event as a signal to bring about “Allah’s Will” to the world via terrorist force.
This is the guy that sees himself as the “Chosen Prophet” on a Sacred Mission that Allah is directing, and the plan is to race to acquire Nuclear capabilities. With some countries, it’s a question of what circumstances would trigger their use of nuclear weapons; Iran will use it’s capabilities to coincide with the moment they have them.
Why not invite, to be on the same panel, the Americans whom the Iranians held captive in our embassy in Iran under the Carter administration?
Or would that give the impression that Columbia University was concerned about Americans?
Where is the proof that he is funding the insurgency in Iraq?
Why has the US been selling F-14’s Fighter Jets to Iran if they are so bad?
Who has killed more innocent civilians Bush or Ahmadinejad?
Who has made peace offerings to the other?
I am not saying that he his a good guy, but the facts show is no more evil than G W Bush…After all the lies we were told about WMD’s, terrorism, and Saddam, I have no faith in our governments ability to tell the US citizens the truth.
And what is wrong about inviting someone to SPEAK?? It’s not like he is walking in with a machine gun…What are you so scared of????
How we will ever learn about his motives, intentions, etc. if we never hear him speak his mind????
If he truly was our enemy he would be arrested, If he truly was our enemy you would want him here as much as possible in order to gather as much intelligence as you could…those that say he shouldn’t be allowed in the country are morons, you know nothing of intelligence gathering, or foreign affairs…
What, not letting him into the country is going to make him go away????
#5 I dont think anyone is scared..I think its the fact that you people talk of free speech until it comes to conservatives—then its a different story. Why not also invite some ‘good guys’ as you call them to speak. I am sure you could learn an awful lot from them also. Has Col. Oliver North ever spoke at Columbia?
The stated reason they don’t allow military recruiters to campus is the military policy of not allowing homosexuals to serve. They haven’t allowed the military to recruit for many many years.
This is something totally different- this is part of a speakers group. I don’t agree with one thing he said- I think he’s crazy. But to have him here, saying this, is a credit to the US, it shows the rest of the world that we are better than they are- dissenting speach in Iran would be treated with death. Here, signs and demonstrations. Freedom of speech is a good thing, even if crazy wierdos are doing the speaking.
Might be ok Jim, but he didn’t answer the questions asked him. He just wanted a platform he could use when he went home to say.. See the Americans embraced me. As for the war, everyone in Congress voted the same way as Bush, based on that same information. I’ve had a nephew in Iraq, I’m not fond of wars either, and I find it hard to believe peace will ever come to a part of the world where, noone wants to give an inch and everyone thinks their religon is better than the next and they would rather kill each other as a solution to problems. Believe, I would rather be a female in the USA under Bush than a female in Iran under this guy any day. Women are treated like the bubonic plague.
LOL JoJo, as we already know, there are not homosexuals in Iran. The terrorist told us that again today much to the laughter of the crowd that knows exactly what happened to the homosexuals in Iran.
The terrorist had no business being embraced by any American. His country’s stated policy is “death to America and all Jews”.
How do we know Iran supports insurgents in Iraq? Could it be the Iranian weapons found? Could it be the Iranian officers captured in Iran? Or could it just be the Terrorist’s stated policies?
BTW, Ahmadinejad took the opportunity to speak at Columbia University simply because he knows there are moonbats like JoJo running loose in America. Congrats JoJo, He was speaking to you!
I’m a bit surprised Ahmadinejad wasn’t officially met by an automatic weapon filling him full of lead the second he stepped off the plane in the US. One can only wish
and who flipped the bill for HIS security anyway?
Too many people talk, while few really listen. I learned good and evil from the President of Iran, and I thank Columbia University for making this possible.
Ahmadinejad should not have been allowed on American Soil. Period.
ahmadinejad new name is MrHankey

#13 You learned good & evil from him…can you expound on that?
From Schmuel Rosner’s blog:
“Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s visit to Columbia University in New York on Monday resulted in one clear loser: Israel.”
That, sadly lays it out pretty clearly. His visit DID NOT show the world the United States is better than Iran, they(whether they admit the fact or not) already knew that. It does, however, manifest how we allow civilian organizations to override US policy and allow terrorists to foment propaganda without harm.
Yes, Israel is a clear loser in this and so are we.
13. I bet the good thing you learned was how evil Ahmadinejad is. Do you know they ( Iranian government beat) lesbians?
Tell me where the good is? Where is the tolerance?
Can Nelson Oduber be far behind? Would Columbia University allow him to appear on a panel about missing Americans?
#16 I listened to everything he said. I didn’t listen “selectively” as many people apparently did. I’ve expounded.
No you didn’t expound, you pizzled out. You said you learned good and evil from him not that you had listened to every word he said.
I guess what you didn’t say spoke volumes…
#21 I listened to everything the man had to say and adding everything together….the good I learned is that, if true, he might be a very evil man. I heard it from the source. You censor people like him from college and university campuses and you don’t hear FROM THE SOURCE. I’d prefer hearing from the scource, not second hand accounts.
What I didn’t say does speak volumes because I have something I heard first hand in which to make some personal opinions and conclusions.
