9-11 Terrorism Photo Op Denied … Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad Permission to Visit Ground Zero Denied

It is bad enough that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is being allowed to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad_UNspeak at the United Nations this weekend in what will only be a slam America-fest and to tell all the other UN countries on our own soil that the US is the great Satan. However, to make matters worse, Ahmadinejad wanted to spit in the eye of all those that died at Ground Zero by visiting it and laying a wreath. Could you imagine having to be the police officer assigned to this detail after having lost so many of your brothers in arms on September 11, 2001?

That’s correct, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, whose country is a state sponsor of terrorism and would love nothing more than to see the USA attacked by terrorism into submission asked permission to visit “Ground Hero.” This sad pathetic excuse for a human being wanted to exploit the tragedy of 9–11 for his own photo op. Thankfully, he was DENIED!

The question that would need to be asked of the Iranian president is who were you laying the wreath for, the victims of 9–11 who lost their lives or the terrorists? I think we already know the answer to that.

It wasn’t clear whether Ahmadinejad wanted to descend to the base of the trade center site, where the fallen twin towers stood, or lay a wreath on a public sidewalk outside the site. Telephone calls to the Iranian Mission to the United Nations were not immediately returned. Kelly earlier said he did not know why Ahmadinejad expressed interest in the site. “I am not sure we have the rationale behind it,” he said.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will also be speaking at Columbia University. As Powerline stated, Columbia … You are a disgrace. There is probably only one thing worse than a suicidal maniac that spews the venom that the Holocaust never happened and wishes for the extermination of a race of people. That is a place that would give such a mad man an open forum.

NYPD bars Iran’s Ahmadinejad from Ground Zero

“Ahmadinejad’s shockingly audacious request should be met with a vehement no,” Republican candidate Mitt Romney said. “It’s inconceivable that any consideration would be given to the idea of entertaining the leader of a state sponsor of terror at Ground Zero.”

Rudy Giuliani jumped into the fray, calling Ahmadinejad’s request “outrageous” and describing him as “a man who has made threats against America and Israel; is harboring bin Laden’s son and other al-Qaida leaders; is shipping arms to Iraqi insurgents; and is pursuing the development of nuclear weapons.”

UPDATE I: AHMADINEJAD ‘WILL NOT PUSH TO VISIT GROUND ZERO’

PELLEY: But the New York Police Department and others do not appear to want you there. Do you intend to go there anyway?

AHMADINEJAD: Well, over there, local officials need to make the necessary coordinations. If they can’t do that, I won’t insist.

PELLEY: Sir, what were you thinking? The World Trade Center site is the most sensitive place in the American heart, and you must have known that visiting there would be insulting to many, many Americans.

AHMADINEJAD: Why should it be insulting?

UPDATE II: Columbia Won’t Cancel Ahmadinejad Speech

What’s next Columbia, are you going to invite Hitler from the grave to discuss human rights and the Holocaust?

Really, Mr. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad , placing the wreath for those who lost their lives in the World Trade Center 9/11?
Which people, the terrorists? I am sure it is not for the Americans who lost their lives that day.

Does anyone smell sulfur everytime Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s name is mentioned?

How long will it take the ACLU to protest?

I see no difference between the way the Iranian president speaks of the US and the way the US president speaks of Iran…Both say the other is evil. But, only one of the countries has killed hundreds of thousands of innocent people. Only one of the countries has used Nuclear Weapons on civilian populations, only one leader has business connections to the most notorious terrorist in modern times…If Iran was so evil, why has the United States been supplying Iran with F-14 Tomcat Fighter Jets?

I think it was a nice gesture/peace offering to came and pay homage to those that died on 9/11…Would Bush ever go to Iran and commemorate one of their tragedies. Eventually, either the US or Iran will have to make the first big step towards compromise. Only a fool would ignore a peace offering. Allowing him to make a diplomatic visit would show the world that we are not just a bunch of hard heading-no-nothing-blood-thirsty-morons.

IRAN and IRAQ had NOTHING to do with 9/11…Americans can thank SAUDI ARABIA for that horrific day.

#3, I don’t know how you can go on living in a country that you seem to so deeply despise. Thank god it’s not up to feeble-minded feelgoodies like you to defend the honor and safety of this great nation.

Iran doesn’t know the meaning of peace, and you can certainly count on any gesture like the one Ahmadinejad proposes to be self-serving. America should not give him that platform.

#5 Jim, oh I am sorry IRAN is good.

Yea right, put the crack pipe down.

Oh yes, sure, Iran wants to weep crocodile tears ….

      How obvious.

    8. Kay Zee Ess on September 20th, 2007 9:36 pm

I would be more than happy to allow Ahmadinejad access to ground zero on the same day US inspectors are granted unconditional access to their facilities that they would shut down.

Hows’ THAT for a crack pipe?

I do not trust this guy, so thanks, but no thanks.

    9. Scared Monkeys on September 20th, 2007 10:13 pm

One would think that the Patriot Act and ever other law we have passed to prevent terrorism would allow us to arrest Mahmoud Ahmadinejad the second he touched down on American soil.

The fact that this terrorist has the right to walk in this country is frightening.

    10. Kay Zee Ess on September 21st, 2007 7:00 am

We did a good job with Noriega, so why COULDN’T we arrest this one as well? It seems well within our rights to do so…but I guess that ainn’t gonna happen, either.

    11. Stephen (aka Jim) on September 21st, 2007 10:00 am

Don’t you think if they had ANYTHING on this guy he would be detained????

I am not saying that Iran is good or that I trust him, but the United States has killed far more innocent civilians than Iran has. And I don’t think that is anything to be proud of. Why would it be ok for the United States to kill civilians, yet wrong for Saddam or Osama? Same thing goes for Hugo Chavez, sure he runs a tight dictatorship, but is his country responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of civilians????? The way they portray these guys on TV suggests that they are demons…makes you wonder how BUSH is represented on foreign television. I am sure Bush is considered a terrorist is some countries. It come down to a little something called cultural relativism…It’s not Americans fault that we have been force fed the propaganda, the same way it isn’t the anti-American Muslims fault. Each country spins facts to make the other look like the devil; it has been going on since the beginning of humanity. Unfortunately, it is only those that are educated beyond the TELEVISION/NEWSPAPERS/ETC. that has the opportunity to view the world from a more neutral perspective…without the propaganda, without the constant bombardment of hate and fear… “Fear is the Path to the Darkside”
      …WWJD?

    12. Rob on September 21st, 2007 2:14 pm

Simple solution to this on going problem.

Arrest the Dictator the second he deplanes and the at that very moment take out all of the suspected nuke sites and related sites.

Chasing this guy all over Iran, ala Saddam, is just insane when we have him in our grasp.

It would be a stroke of Brilliance should it happen…on the other hand – I do not expect it to happen.

This guy is a killer of Americans and deserves to be dealt with like any other.

    13. Pam on September 21st, 2007 3:22 pm

Isn’t it wonderful that we have men and women in the military that are willing to fight for people like Stephen (aka Jim) so that they may have the right to criticize and slander this country without fear of retaliation? Curious to me why people like him choose to stay in this country if they feel it and their leaders are so horrible. Possibly because if they try speaking out like that in any other place they may very well have their life taken away from them.

    14. Stephen (aka Jim) on September 21st, 2007 4:35 pm

The United States was founded because people were looking for freedom from persecution because of their beliefs. This country needs more people to be critical of the Government and those that run it…If you want to live in a country were people are encouraged to leave rather than stand up for their beliefs YOU should move to a country where freedom of speech isn’t tolerated…And thankfully when the population of this country realizes that our leaders ARE horrible they can choose to eliminate them from office…

The men and woman in uniform have not fought for our rights since the civil war…THE ONLY PEOPLE THAT CAN TAKE FREEDOM AWAY FROM US CITIZENS IS THE US GOVERNMENT…HOW CAN AL QUEDA PASS LAWS IN THE SENATE??? HOW CAN THE VIETNAMESE PASS LAWS IN THE SENATE??? You are just repeating nonsense propaganda that legislatively makes no sense…

    15. Loey on September 21st, 2007 7:35 pm

Does anyone really think he would be laying a wreath to honor those we lost on that tragic day? Ahmadinejad should not even be allowed to LOOK at ground zero. I am sure that the wreath would be for the evil bastards that flew those planes on 9/11.

I have an idea – while we are at it – we can let him take a piss on the site to. Isn’t that after all what he would be doing? That and gloating?

    16. Auntiem on September 22nd, 2007 9:48 am

Groung Zero is Sacred Ground. It is the “Cemetary” of so very many unfound innocent civilian victims, who were murdered by Militant extremist muslims, who hate Americans, simply because we are free to enjoy life. Women in their countries are beaten and murdered on a whim, all who live in their countries must follow muslim ways, even if they are of other religions, terror reigns in muslim countries…..while Freedom reigns and rings in America. How dare this terrorist who needs a shave wish to desecrate the graves of our “murdered innocent”!!!!

    17. Auntiem on September 22nd, 2007 9:57 am

Shut up, Stephen! How dare you compare our country to Iran? How dare you compare our President to “I’m indeed a mad man” ? Do you know anybody living and suffering in Iran? I DO!!! Do you know anybody who has escaped Iran and thanks God every day they are in America? I DO!!!! Let this terrorist who always seems to need a shave, this Arab who has taken over the country once known as Persia, visit the Holocaust Museum……. remember, you anti-American ingate who lives in Freedom and takes it for granted, that little terrorist, who denies the Holocaust, would like to take Israel off the face of the Earth!!!!

    18. Auntiem on September 22nd, 2007 10:03 am

Get a History book Stephen….the Civil War??? Have you heard about Pearl Harbor??? Where were you on September 11, 2001? OMG…..You are not only anti-American….you are ignorant and un-educated!!

    19. brie on September 22nd, 2007 10:44 pm

      He’s not welcome here, period….!

    20. Stephen (aka Jim) on September 24th, 2007 10:11 am

Please tell me how Pearl Harbor or Sept 11th, were fights to save our rights/freedom?
I am pretty sure they were both instances of severe ass-kicking’s, yet none of our legislation was changed…we still had freedom of speech, we still had the right to vote, and we still had the right to bare arms. What freedom was taken away by the terrorists? NONE…What freedom (that our brave soldiers have fought for over the existence of our country) has President Bush taken away from us? Talk about being disrespectful…my grandfather and great grandfather would be appalled to hear that the president has taken away habeas corpus and the Geneva conventions.

When politicians/media news says things like “this is a fight for freedom” or “they will kill your children” they are using the same propaganda lines used by Hitler, Stalin, Julius Cesar, etc…

First they induce fear, and then they tell you who is causing it….even though BOTH may be untrue…

      For Example:
We were lead to believe Saddam and Iraq was responsible for 9/11, and that Saddam/Iraq had WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION and they were intent on using them on US citizens…Turns out that is 100% false…even though most of the educated citizens of the United States knew that from the beginning.

The bottom line is that we were told lies about the Saddam/Iraq terrorism connection; prove to me that this Iran/terrorism connection isn’t just another lie? WHERE IS THE PROOF? And don’t give me words. Because the words of politicians are worthless.

I don’t understand why President Bush ignores the Terrorism connection to Saudi Arabia, which is obvious (sept 11th hijackers, government funding insurgency in Iraq)…Yet insists on making the Iranian president a scapegoat…again we are being tricked by our own president…

    21. Auntiem on September 30th, 2007 1:09 pm

Pearl Harbor was an attack on our Naval Ships by the Japanese, allies of Germany in WWII, both countries were ruled by madmen, who wanted to take over the world. Hitler had succeeded in taking over several countries in Europe before THE UNITED STATES MILITARY stopped him, and gave the “hostage” countries back their Freedom.

NYC was attacked by an Islamic madman who wants to take over the world, and exterminate Israel and the United States while doing it.

Are you still listening, you ignorant ant-American whose Ancestors would turn over in their graves if they got a glance at the traitor that has carried on their name.

The Geneva Convention is as useless as the United Nations….we are the only country that follows the rules…..our enemies don’t….ask a survivor of POW camps, if you can find any….
In my opinion, the TERRORISTS that are in Gitmo, should have been shot on the spot…..not given clean beds, meals that follow their evil, so-called religion, and let’s not forget each being given Korans!! OMG, can you imagine the Nazis, Japenese or Viet Cong being so accomodating???? I think NOT!!

Now these terrorists, who were not Military, therefore they are NOT protected under the Geneva Convention, want the rights of American citizens, ie., protection under the U.S.Constittution…….OMG, our Forefathers are turning over in THEIR graves……they would have shot or hanged these criminals, murderers ON SIGHT!!!

No quotes…..these are all my words!!!!
