Atan Lee, former head Protocol, seems to think that the upcoming Queen’s visit to Aruba in 
not safe. Which begs the question … if Aruba takes liberties with the Queens’s safety, what would they do with everyone else’s? Arubans and tourists alike.
Besides, Plaza Daniel Leo is not safe; it is surrounded by high-rise. A person can easily commit an assault on the Queen’s life.

Atan Lee also touches on what seems to be a definite rift and existing problem between The Dutch and Aruba. As seen with the “guaranteed loan” squabble that is presently going on, Lee makes the comment that, “You don’t get a feeling that the island is celebrating.” Let’s just hope the Queen stays away from certain bars in Aruba. They may pose more of a safety issue than Plaza Daniel Leo.

There is a risk that somebody might shoot a firearm from those buildings.” The committee said that the Queens own security people have approved the location.

ORANJESTAD – “The program for the Queen’s visit to Aruba is bad. You don’t get a feeling that the island is celebrating. Besides, the population would hardly get a chance to see the Queen at close quarters. Plaza Daniel Leo is unsafe for Royal visit”, indicated Atan Lee, former head Protocol.
Lee managed the government service that was in charge of protocol matters 16 years ago. The entire country was celebrating during earlier visits of the Queen. “All the schools performed aubades and the members of the Royal Family would meet the population in festive settings. Also the Dutch media got a positive impression of our island.”
It is a huge contrast with the current program. “The program is created in such way that we show our Queen, and via the media the Dutch population, that we are in a very poor situation. When I was in charge of doing this, I always made sure that the Queen and the media take with them a piece of our alegria.

The places the Queen is going to visit are not suitable. Especially the location of the public festivities on Tuesday evening; it is too small, according to him. “Imagine you are leaving from Fort Zoutman, along the back of the town hall to Plaza Daniel Leo. The route is full with stages. Just a small part of our island may get a chance to see the Queen at close quarters this way.” Besides, Plaza Daniel Leo is not safe; it is surrounded by high-rise. A person can easily commit an assault on the Queen’s life.

The chairwoman of the committee that is in charge of the preparation for the Queen’s visit, Ella Tromp-Yarzagaray indicated that the Government Information Service considers the route and the plaza safe. Also the police was of the opinion that the space of the celebration is too small, but the solution for that is that the show will continue even after the Queen leaves. The shows will be repeated several times till 22:00.
The police will also man the barricades as much as possible to prevent people from parking their cars behind them and make it impossible to get away in case of emergency. The spokesperson of the police indicated that the police had indeed advised against Plaza Daniel Leo. “There are too many high-rise around the plaza. There is a risk that somebody might shoot a firearm from those buildings.” The committee said that the Queens own security people have approved the location.

I will be doing more of a detailed FP post later when I can confirm a couple more facts, but the truth is the meeting did not occur. Was canceled, postponed … airplane issues being heard as the reason. Which makes e think back to a previous court date last year where the same thing happened. Gee, are there not more than 1 flight a day between Curacao and Aruba?

This is only an opinion … but I would say it may have occurred because of the following reasons:
1. If the judge had made a ruling and took the Kalpoes off the suspect list it would have created a media event. MSM would have been forced to go to Dave & Beth and get a reaction. This would have created more negative publicity for Aruba.
2. If the judge ruled to keep the suspects on the list, this too would have created the need to ask Dave & Beth for a reaction and put the story back in the news. Of course the position of many would be … how can you take people off the list now, just when Dutch cold case people are investigating.
3. One does wonder why they did not do this now as the American public is distracted with midterm and Kerry’s comments, that has been Aruba’s MO. Like when they let the suspects free during labor day.
4. The best was for Aruba in their minds to not create a media event may have been to just blow it off and pretend like it never happened to avoid and more bad media. Gee, that would never take place in Aruba.
Then again … maybe it was really a plane issue. Hard to imagine, but this is Aruba.

You would think that there is more than one plane, but as you said, this is Aruba. And one would think that this would have been the perfect chance for them to do one of the other because of the election’s, with the outside chance that the MSM wouldnt have been too bad. You are right on track here. There were no plane troubles.
Dutch Antilles Express flies 12 flights daily between Curacao and Aruba. It is a 30 minute flight. You cannot tell me that the judge couldn’t have delayed the court time and jumped a later plane if his plane had issues.
Aruba got smart. To have attempted to pull the Kalpoes out of this was going to make this case overshadow even our current elections.
Don’t be surprised however if on NOVEMBER 8, the morning following our national elections, that suddenly the judges plane works just fine and that he flies in, passes judgement, and our MSM does not pick up on it because of all of the turmoil and lawsuits created when the Republicans hold the house and congress and the loser dems go back to their mantra of the Republicans cheat…completely added by MSM hacks that are so dismayed that they weren’t able to turn the election.
This makes sense. Put off the court date for a week and then sneak the Kalpoes out under the cover of election chaos here in the US.
By the way, has anyone heard if the Dutch investigators have voided judgements made to protect and insulate Paulus from this case? Kind of hard to solve a crime when you aren’t going to go through the effort of bringing the main perp back in….md

It is hard to imagine what the Queen hopes to find in Aruba. She would get more out of just flying over the island and looking down. What you see is all you get and if you land and anything gets lost, it will never be found. On my trips there, I lost(and/or were stolen from my room) two cell phones and most of my luggage. ALE spent more time watching us than they did trying to solve the case. One thing the Queen may find is that if anything does happen, it will be covered up very quickly and very completely. Justice for Natalee and God save the Queen.

I said this coz in going frame by frame in the bushes area i saw what appeared to me to be a person going from a stooped over position to a squatting position as if they heard someone approaching & didn’t want to be seen. A SHORT COMMENT OF THE SKEETERS TAPE
I haven’t listened to the tape for a long time, but there clearly iS no “didn’t” there. It is something that people are just hearing because you want to hear it. And as far as the shaking head goes, it isn’t visible to me and, if it does exist, it means nothing seen from the back as seen on the video. It is impossible to know what the “claimed” headshaking means without seeing Deepak’s facial expression.
It is too bad that people are hearing and seeing things that are not there since the tape is clear in its meaning. I have written on line and in print about people seeing things in videos that are not there, esp. if they look at it in slow motion.
I recently wrote about a case that involved a videotaped rape in which half the jurors were eventually convinced not to believe their own eyes by clever defense lawyers and ended up with no verdict.
During the retrial, the prosecutors mainly concentrated on selecting intelligent jurors and the defendants were convicted the second time around. It is amazing that a second trial was necessary when the videotape proved the defendents who were not only guilty beyond a reasonable doubt but were also guilty beyond ALL doubt. In the closing argument, the prosecutor used my pet phrase in describing the video, “What you see is what you get; believe your own eyes.”
I feel the same about the Skeeters tape. Seen and heard in its entirety, there is only ONE possible interpretation. Also, why would the former FBI agent Skeeters lie anyways? He didn’t even think the admission was important at the time. He was just trying to convince Deepak to take a lie detector test.
By concentrating on a single tree (a few words in one sentence) people are losing sight of the forest (Deepak’s admission of considering Natalee to be a slut that he and the others happily ravaged).
I bet if a hundred persons, unfamilar to the case, viewed the tape, not one would hear Deepak saying he didn’t have sex with Natalee. It would be a great experiment. It’s too bad no one will do it. You are hearing what biased persons have convinced you is on the tape, not what is actually on it.
Also, many of us tend to think that “wimps” like Deepak and Satish are less likely guilty than the more confident Joran. People, who rape, are often wimps! How much courage does it take to rape a semi-conscious teenage girl? It is very easy for me to believe that all three suspects ravaged a helpless Natalee (in Joran’s pad) before she was taken to the beach (or somewhere else) and killed or allowed to die–perhaps of a drug overdose. K2 may look innocent, but they are monsters in their hearts just like Joran.

I clearly don’t hear “she didn’t” and the sound before “she did” could be anything from background noise to “oh” or “no.” If “no or oh” were said, it was said in response to Skeeters surprise at his answer. Again, the conversation in its totality clearly shows that Deepak said that he had sex with Natalee and then joked about how “… easy it was that night.”
As far as the claimed shaking of Deepak’s head goes, Deepak is fidgety and moving all the time during the interview, it is impossible to interpret his movements as body language signifying anything. His movements are random and reflect uneasiness and guilt.
I dare anyone to play the “video soundtrack” to a friend who is not familiar with the case and ask them, “What does the boy say to the interviewer about having or not having sex with the girl?” Don’t mention any names, show the video imagine or tell the friend what you think is being said. There are only two possible answers: Your friend will say either that it is not clear or that the boy admits to having sex with the girl. No one, who is not already biased, could possibly hear, “No, she didn’t.” It is entirely in people’s head.

What can’t be heard is Deepak’s first reply to Skeeters question. It is apparently said very quietly or is covered up by the sound of the air conditioner starting. Skeeters is obviously very surprised and Deepak repeats his answer saying either, “No or oh, she did” or simply, “She did.” The rest of the conversation clearly shows that Deepak did communicate an affirmative answer to the question.
I doubt if an enhanced version of the tape changes its meaning or the FBI or NFI would have released it. I don’t know why the NFI is lying about the tapes meaning but they clearly are.

To your question about obituaries, I had a working obituaries at one time, other than the one I gave you (which doesn’t help much). It was removed about 13 months ago. I was just starting to use it. I wish I had found it earlier. 1906 and I both have received really severe a$$ chewings for quote, “lack of respect for the dead.” My opinion, “If the dead want to talk, let them tell their story.” Their obituaries would tell a lot.
The next best source to an obituary is the phone book. I have it bookmarked on my new laptop, but my wife is out of town and has it. I listed it a couple of days ago.
This is important. With the phone book, you can look up the name of someone in the obituaries who is of interest, get their address from the phone book; and then get their neighbor’s names and addresses. You can also look to see what kind of business they were in, if they owed a business. For example, I tried at one time to see if the Wevers were in the construction business. I wanted to know if they had any heavy equipment, like a backhoe, with a rock chisel. The dead all tell a story. All of them. Especially Shango. The phone book has maiden names also, listed like Mary Wever, Jones. You can search on Wever and it will also pull up Mary Weaver Jones. This tells you that the Wevers and the Jones are related by marriage—Good to know. (this is just an example and not a legitimated fact, ie Jones, and Weavers.)
This is really going back, but 1906 and I both felt like the Wever lady who died in June of 05 was somehow connected with the case. She is (or was) listed in the phone book. It amazed me how may deaths there were in the neighborhood she lived in, which I believe is right in the general area where the predator profiling system points to likely area where this all took place. 1906 has pointed out a similar area many times.
There was a poster (roy), not Roy. roy (not Roy) was from Aruba, and he would tell me when I was right on addresses, and locations. He never did figure out how I was getting the info.

I caught that too. I guess he has gotten away with it so much that he is indignant when someone (especially a parent, and especially a mother ) calls him out. He can’t put fear into them, because first of all they don’t know him (Joran), and second of all, they are not the kind of people that will take any kind of nonsense laying down. Trying to bully Jug, would be a mistake in the extreme–country boys can survive.
The gall of this elitist kid hankers me and others to the max. I’ve seen it in kids I’ve worked with and known, and it is never a good thing. The kid with the nice mom that I was talking about a few days ago was like Joran as a young kid. It all comes from a deep seated lack of respect for others. If you happen to be raising a pedo terrorist like this, you must put your foot down hard; and set ground rules from day one. Your only hope is that this kid does not murder you and the rest of the family in the middle of the night.
If I had a son like Joran, I would have gotten him some early psychiatric help-maybe at 3 or 4 years of age. I would hand pick the physician , and the whole thing kept very private.
With a kid like that, you would have to make him respect you and your authority. Your personal walk would have to be very straight and narrow, cause a kid like Joran would be quick to call you a Hippocratic and never let you off the hook.
The torturing of a pet would send alarms off in every direction for me. If he killed his dog for fun–bad news. If he killed his dog out of anger–bad news. If he killed his dog for some sort of twisted sexual pleasure–bad news. Next, it is friends and family.

Alot of people have prayed. I believe in prayer and that if enough good people think about something or someone they really care about that answers can be found and miracles can happen. I thought about that with Laci Peterson too, right before her body was found i thought, maaan if Laci is in the bay after all these months, we’ll probably never know what happened to her. With the marine life it was a miracle that her remains were found to be on the shore. Storms that upturn the bottom of the bay don’t happen very often. It was like the hand of God reached out and uncovered all Scott’s lies for the world to know and i feel the same way about Joran Van Der Sloot and All others involved.

I find it interesting that her visit includes a meeting at the Aruban central bank, or whatever it is. The queen reigns, but does not rule … that is, she doesn’t do anything partisan, etc. In view of that, it’s odd that her itinerary would include a visit to something like a central bank. At least, I think it is.
I wonder if the Natalee Holloway case is like an unspoken question hanging over the whole visit. Seems to me like it’s quite a long flight for only a two-day visit.
One wonders if some kind of message is being delivered, especially with the political developments that were just concluded for the Netherlands Antilles. Perhaps the timing of the visit is itself a message … or a warning.

Richard, refer to #74. That is what I was asking. Why is the queen visiting? I thought it was very interesting that the queen was visiting the bank since Holland is considering loaning money to Aruba, and that the tourism is down, etc. I, too, wondered if the Natalee case was an underlying reason for the visit. Kristen allegedly had went with him to another disco, but the young man later admitted that he had went to the beach with her, just like Natalee Holloway.
The young man had tried to kiss her, after which both went their own way.
Several searches did not have any result, the police investigation on the Spanish island was closed without any result, just like on Aruba.
But then there is a difference; the Norvergian case was solved by policeman Ola Thune from Oslo, together with the family which did their udmost.

It was Carpe that detected something in this still and circled it & put a question mark there. I’m looking at it a day or so later, looked at it about 20 seconds & saw those were shoes & my eyes followed the legs into the brush and Boom i saw the body! I wanted Carpe to see but i hadn’t outlined it, i’m no artist & rarely use Photoshop but i did manage to outline it. Using no programs at all i saw this body!
There are dead bodies all over the place on Aruba! Truely …..dead people are everwhere. They are in bag in the Basin, they are in the bushes & brush area not far from several boat launches and there’s dead bodies in the Rocks/Dunes area.

OH, Please, I’ve read all the statements from everyone that has been provided. Like Deepak would be the one I would go to discuss Natalee and her character. Let’s discuss all 4 of their characters, not the victims. All 4 have the motive, means and opportunity and no corrorobation for any of the lies and alibis for almost 18 months now. Last known people to see her or be with her, noone else in 1 year has come forward to dispute that with any credible evidence. They have lied over and over about Natalee and her family and what took place. Joran says it takes a case of beer to get him drunk, he’s been drinking since he was 13 or so. They all go out and pick up girls and have sex with tourists in the same room. Joran is sick and disturbed and has numerous stories about violent episodes, Joran steals money, he didn’t answer to noone, he was the boss, he brags about sex since he was 12 or so, they lied to the cops and to the parents in the most important hours of a missing person, they made up the lie before it was known that she was missing, he stays out all night gambling and running around, he gambled and drank underage that night. He’s been labeled by the fbi as a sociopath, they’ve discussed if Natalee was found they would see that chit and Joran would get 15 years. Just who I would want my daughter to date. nottttt! They’ve done everything, but cooperate. They used the media to put on a play..act 1, 2, 3, 4 etc after weeks of reading police files and rehearsing.

Police is investigating the cause behind the dead of the man Rene van Heyningen whose body was found behind the Government cemetery at Sabana Basora.
It was mrs. Y.C.H., 29 years old, who arrived home at Sabana Basora around 7:30 a.m. Saturday to find the house in a total mess and with signs of violence, including traces of blood. At observing the scene police said that the injured person could not be alive.
The man that should have been at that house could not be found anywhere, and his grey pick-up truck was not there either. Immediately alarm was sounded.
Police agents who arrived at the scene started a thorough search of the area and moments later discover the pick-up truck behind the Government cemetery in Sabana Basor. The beheaded body of Rene van Heyningen, who worked at the refinery, was found in the bushes not far from the vehicle.
Rene van Heyningen was born on Janaury 12, 1973 and resided at van Lennepstraat 17 in San Nicolas. So far, no detention has taken place in this case. According to the police, the house owner was heard as a possible witness.
We extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved family.
