5 of 12 (Biffle, Edwards, Harvick & Stewart) NASCAR Drivers Stiff President Obama Invite for a White House Visit Photo-Op (Update, Make that Four)
THE GREEN PRESIDENT INVITES NASCAR TO WHITE HOUSE … ISN’T THIS PRICELESS.
Five, make that four NASCAR drivers say they are too busy to go to the White House next Thursday and provide a photo-op for President Barack Obama. The drivers stated that they already had plans and scheduling conflicts. Yea, like not wanting to lose their fan base if that is considered a scheduling conflict. Believe it or nor Barack, people are actually lining up to see these guys.
VIDEO – What would happen if If Barack Obama ever drove NASCAR
President Barack Obama will honor NASCAR champion Jimmie Johnson and the 11 other Chase drivers from last year in a White House ceremony on Wednesday – but nearly half of the 2010 playoff contenders won’t be there.
NASCAR said Thursday that five drivers – Greg Biffle, Kurt Busch, Carl Edwards, Kevin Harvick and Tony Stewart – will not be attending the White House visit due to “schedule conflicts.”
I actually disagree with the editors of SB Nation, regarding the rare opportunity to meet the President. Sorry, all Presidents are not created equal, especially when they have a sub-40% approval rating, in the 20′s on the economy and NASCAR is still a “Southern” thing. When you become President ZERO why would anyone want to be seen with you? Take a look at how the Democrats fled from Obama in the 2010 midterm elections because he was a detriment.
They must be very busy people. Regardless of one’s political views, the president is still the president – and an opportunity to speak with the leader of the free world is a rare and special one.
You’d think whatever photo shoots or sponsor appearances these drivers have lined up on Wednesday afternoon – if that’s indeed the reason – could be rescheduled. After all, this is the President of the United States we’re talking about here.
Having your picture taken with the President isn’t quite what it used to be. It used to be a perk for the individual lucky enough to be invited to the White House. These days, the photo-op benefits Obama, not the NASCAR drivers. As the Lonely Conservative opines, Barack is Mr. Photo-Op. Are we supposed to believe that Obama knows anything about NASCAR? Obama wishes he had an approval rating like Jimmie Johnson, Biffle or any of ‘em. Obama can only “HOPE” that he receives any of the NASCAR vote; however, when you are a President who is against oil, gas and the combustible engine, its hard to imagine how much love Obama would get at the race track or in the pits. Obama pandering to gas guzzling NASCAR, what would Daryl Hannah say?
Wouldn’t it really just make more sense if Obama invited PGA Golf pros to the White House, minus Paul Azinger of course.
EXIT QUESTION: Taking into consideration the Obama jinx factor and his UN-Midas touch, would you really want your NASCAR favorite driver rubbing elbows with Barack Obama? After all, how many winners has President Zero picked?

I don’t get the part where NASCAR is a Southern thing… I’m a Yankee, I suppose; but I would pass on a photo op with Obama, too. IMO, he’s all over the board in photo ops and doing very little to carry this country out of the danger of economic collapse… ironic that he chose the Chase team in that there’s a reason for everything with this guy! Why is he so interested in promoting Chase Bank, anyway? Inspiring, not hardly…
He’s a President who has lost my trust!
Perhaps, herein lies the answer:

Dirty Rat!
I don’t know anything about NASCAR but I know a lot about this President. I will never be invited to the White House by any President, but if Barack Obama should invite me, I’d not only refuse but have a few choice words about why I was refusing. They would be about how the Constitution requires that a President be born a citizen of the country and how I don’t believe he was. Also, a President is sworn to protect the contry against all enemies, foreign and domestic. He has filled the White House and his administration with enemies of this country. In fact, I believe he is one himself. No one could be so incompetent as to have damaged the country as seriously as he has. It has to be deliberate. Nobody is that dumb.
FYI: Chase was one of a few banking giants who didn’t benefit from the President’s infamous stimulus package. Confused? Join the club! Another example of hyocrisy, imo, as a President allotted taxpayer revenue to override a healthy and thriving free enterprise system… then, tries to make amends to those who weren’t crooked enough to qualify.
Photo Op, Anyone?
Despicable!!!
Barry might award each of the NASCAR visitors a memento of a
Carburetor Restriction Plate/Fuel Strangulation Valve along
with a tire gauge to verify tire pressures that conserve fuel
mileage. President Soetoro is really the only one qualified to
run the world correctly and he can give a speech a minute in
support of that fantasy.
