Co-Pilot Andreas Lubitzn in Germanwings Crash Hid Medical Condition From Employer … Authorities Find Torn Up Doctors’ Notes Stating He Was Too Ill to Work, Including Day of the Plane Crash

Search of Andreas Lubitzn’s home finds doctor’s notes that he was too ill to work …

The NY Times is reporting that Andreas Lubitzn, the co-pilot who deliberately crashed Germanwings flight 9525 into the French Alps on Tuesday killing all aboard, had been given a mental health diagnosis but kept the condition hidden from his employer. Prosecutors said on Friday that among the items found at Mr. Lubitz’s home were several doctors’ notes stating that he was too ill to work, including on the day of the crash; one of the notes had been torn up.

Isn’t this special. We have an individual who received a doctor’s note that says he is too ill to work; however, the employer does not get the same.

Investigators probe Germanwings co-pilot Andreas Lubitz’s background

Andreas Lubitz, the pilot who flew a Germanwings jetliner into the French Alps on Tuesday, had been given a mental health diagnosis but kept the condition hidden from his employer, the authorities said Friday.

A psychiatric diagnosis might explain why Mr. Lubitz, a 27-year-old German, did not disclose his full medical record to Germanwings and its parent company, Lufthansa. Certain diagnoses are grounds for a pilot’s license to be revoked.

Prosecutors said on Friday that among the items found at Mr. Lubitz’s home were several doctors’ notes stating that he was too ill to work, including on the day of the crash; one of the notes had been torn up. These documents “support the preliminary assessment that the deceased hid his illness from his employer and colleagues,” the prosecutors said in a statement.

California Cares More About the Rights of Sex Offenders Than they Do the Safety & Rights of Children, Loosens Jessica’s Law Rules Where Sex offenders Can Live

Coming soon in California to a school or park within 2000 feet, a registered sex offender.

On March 2, 2015 California Supreme Court unanimously ruled that Jessica’s Law violated the constitutional rights of sex offender parolees living in San Diego County who had stated that the limitations made it impossible for them to obtain housing. A CDCR report found that the number of homeless sex offenders statewide increased by about 24 times in the three years after Jessica’s Law took effect. The hell with going against what the voters wanted in not allowing sex predators near schools and parks, instead lets all have a pity party for child predators and sex offenders. So now California is going to loosen the rules as to where sex offenders can live.  Supposedly, high-risk sex offenders and those whose crimes involved children under 14 will still be prohibited from living within a half-mile of a school, however, the CDCR will assess each parolee based on factors relating to their individual cases. So how long will it be before “high risk” predators claim their rights are being violated and win as well?

California officials announced Thursday that the state would stop enforcing a key provision of a voter-approved law that prohibits all registered sex offenders from living near schools.

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation said it would no longer impose the blanket restrictions outlined in Jessica’s Law that forbids all sex offenders from living within 2,000 feet of a school or park, regardless of whether their crimes involved children.

High-risk sex offenders and those whose crimes involved children under 14 will still be prohibited from living within a half-mile of a school, the CDCR emphasized. Otherwise, officials will assess each parolee based on factors relating to their individual cases, the agency said.

The shift comes nine years after California voters approved the controversial law, which has made it difficult for some sex offenders to find places to live.

The California Supreme Court on March 2 unanimously ruled that Jessica’s Law violated the constitutional rights of parolees living in San Diego County who had argued that the limitations made it impossible for them to obtain housing. As a result, advocates said, some parolees were living in places like riverbeds and alleys.

“While the court’s ruling is specific to San Diego County, its rationale is not,” CDCR spokesman Luis Patino said Thursday. “After reviewing the court’s analysis, the state attorney general’s office advised CDCR that applying the blanket mandatory residency restrictions of Jessica’s Law would be found to be unconstitutional in every county.”

Democrat Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid to Retire … Will Not Seek Reelection in 2016

DINGY HARRY GONE IN 2016 …

The New York Times is reporting that 75 year old Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) will not been seeking reelection in 2016. This will finally bring to an end Reid’s three decade Congressional career. Harry Reid has been a Nevada senator since 1986.  Since 2008 Reid had done nothing but put forth Obama’s agenda against the will of the people and made sure to block any and all GOP bills in the US Senate. Personally, I say good riddance. Lately Reid has become nothing more than a miserable and crotchety individual. He should have retired during his last Senate election. Reid suffered a serious eye and facial injuries in a January 1, 2015 at his Las Vegas home and has seemed to never have recovered. This will probably mean that Sen. Chucky Schumer will slide into the Minority leader position.

One of Dingy Harry’s more Classless moments in the Senate, with help from San Fran Nan

Senator Harry Reid, the tough tactician who has led Senate Democrats since 2005, will not seek re-election next year, bringing an end to a three-decade congressional career that culminated with his push of President Obama’s ambitious agenda against fierce Republican resistance.

Mr. Reid, 75, who suffered serious eye and facial injuries in a Jan. 1 exercise accident at his Las Vegas home, said he had been contemplating retiring from the Senate for months. He said his decision was not attributable either to the accident or to his demotion to minority leader after Democrats lost the majority in November’s midterm elections.

“I understand this place,” Mr. Reid said. “I have quite a bit of power as minority leader.”

He has already confounded the new Republican majority this year by holding Democrats united against a proposal to gut the Obama administration’s immigration policies as well as a human-trafficking measure Democrats objected to over an anti-abortion provision.

“I want to be able to go out at the top of my game,” said Mr. Reid, who used a sports metaphor about athletes who try to hang on too long. “I don’t want to be a 42-year-old trying to become a designated hitter.” …

I could not agree more with The American Spectator:

I can’t say that I’m sorry to see him go even if it means he’ll probably be replaced by Chuck Schumer. But there’s a good chance a Republican could win his seat though one wonders if his son Rory will seek the Democratic nomination.

Whether it was declaring the War in Iraq lost before the surge (VIDEO), his vicious personal attacks against Mitt Romney and the Koch Brothers on the Senate floor represent much of what is wrong with 21st century liberalism in America.

Reid’s date of expiration passed long, long ago.

Good riddance.
