Ferguson, Missouri Police to Name Police Officer in Michael Brown Shooting … Police Officer’s Named, Darren Wilson (Update: Michael Brown was Suspect in Convenience Store Robbery)(Update: Police Incident Report, Still Photo Pic from Robbery)(Update: VIDEO of Robbery)

RUT-ROH, get ready for more insanity … The Ferguson, MO police department are going to name the police officer who shot and killed t Michael Brown today.

The protests have gone on for 5 days, the naming of the police officer is going to open up a whole new can of worms.

The Ferguson, Mo., police department on Friday will identify the officer who shot Michael Brown, whose death spurred violent protests and unrest in the St. Louis suburb over the past week.

Ferguson, Mo., Police Chief Thomas Jackson said he would like to release the name by 9 a.m. ET Friday.

Brown was unarmed when the officer killed him. Witnesses in the area say Brown had raised his hands to surrender when he was shot. Police have not confirmed that information.

The announcement comes after Twitter suspended an account Thursday linked to a loose-knit “hacktivist” group that released the name of a police officer it said shot and killed Brown on Saturday night. However, police, Ferguson’s mayor and the stepmother of the man named all said the group was incorrect and that the person named is not a police officer.

UPDATE I: From This mornings press conference: Police officer named in the shooting of Michael Brown …  Darren Wilson, who was said to have been a police officer for 6 years. It was also stated at the press conference that the officer was treated for injuries. It appears the reason why the name was released was because of Sunshine laws. It was reported that officer Wilson had no disciplinary record.

Police also provided at the Presser that Darren Wilson stopped Michael Brown because there had been a previous strong arm robbery and Brown met the description of the suspect.

In my opinion there is no amount of information that could be released today that is going to satisfy the mob. When they say they want justice, that means a scalp and they will not be happy until it happens. If a convenience store was burned down and other stores looted in retaliation for the shooting death of Michael Brown, I can only imagine what will happen once crazed individuals start Googling the name for the address of Darren Wilson.

Battle lines have been drawn and no one really knows what happened.

ABC News: Police Release Name of Officer in Fatal Shooting in Ferguson, Missouri.

Police have announced the name of the officer who shot and killed an unarmed teen in Ferguson, Missouri — an incident that led to days of clashes in the streets of the St. Louis suburb.

Darren Wilson was revealed today as the officer who shot Michael Brown, 18, and officials have moved the six-year police veteran and his family from the town as a safety precaution.

Ferguson Police Chief Thomas Jackson said earlier that at the time of the shooting on Saturday, the officer was on a routine patrol when he encountered Brown and a friend walking in the street. Authorities have said that a scuffle ensued after the officer asked the teens to move to the side. Witnesses have said Brown’s hands were raised when he was shot multiple times.

UPDATE II: WAPO: A description of a possible suspect was given over the radio, saying this person was walking toward the QuickTrip convenience store in Ferguson.

Jackson provided few other details about Wilson at the news conference and did not take any questions. He said that Wilson had been responding to a call shortly before noon on Saturday when there was a 911 call regarding a “strong-arm robbery” at a convenience store, Jackson said.

A description of a possible suspect was given over the radio, saying this person was walking toward the QuickTrip convenience store in Ferguson. Wilson left the call he had been responding to and encountered Brown on Canfield Drive at 12:01 p.m., Jackson said.

An incident report handed out by police on Friday labeled Brown as a suspect in the convenience store robbery.

TPM: Police: Teen Was ‘Primary Suspect’ In Robbery At Time Of Shooting

Michael Brown, the African-American teen who was shot by Ferguson, Mo., police Saturday, was the primary suspect for an alleged robbery at the time of the shooting, according to reporters on the ground piecing through a police report released Friday.

The police also released an incident report, which said that Brown was the “primary suspect” in the robbery call, according to reporters at the scene who had access to the physical copies.

It does appear from the photos released, that Michael Brown was the person who robbed the convenience store just prior to his death. While questions remain in my mind as to why an unarmed person was shot a number of times while having his arms raised, according to witnesses, that is not what troubles me most about this incident.

Barack Hussein Obama said, during his first campaign for President, that he would establish a domestic army, as well trained and well equipped as the traditional military. Yesterday, a spokesman for the Pentagon, said in answer to a question by Shepard Smith, that yes, the Pentagon had given such armaments as tanks, armed personnel carriers, firearms, etc. to local police departments. It appeared that the Ferguson Police Department had been the recipients of some of those arms during their stormtrooper style performance Monday night. It did not appear to me that they were well trained, though, as they seemed to be nervous, jumpy and ready to shoot those automatic weapons into the crowd at any moment. The same thing happened at the standoff at the Bundy Ranch when a militia from the BLM were equally armed, and equally ill trained. It seems, if one can judge by the tremendous volume of bullets ordered by the IRS, Social Security Administration, etc. etc. that not only have local police been furnished these military arms to use against civilian Americans, but so has every agency of the government. This is likely Obama’s “Domestic army.” I wondered when I heard Obama speak about his “Domestic army,” exactly what it’s purpose would be. I think I know now. I believe he plans to institute Marial Law and cancel the midterm elections.

That should have been “Martial law” in the last sentence. Typo.

Well, if the victim hadn’t of stolen the cigars in the first place the clerk wouldn’t of had to call 911, which dispatched an officer. And you don’t have to be armed to injure or kill someone. They said the same thing about Trayvon, he was unarmed but he could of killed George with his bare hands and he also went after George’s gun, well this last punk went after the officer’s gun and why did he approach the police cruiser. More rioting and protesting before the full details are released.

It’s very simple Obey and Respect the Law….

obama needs to keep his mouth shut instead of causing more trouble!!!! He threw his race card out there again, the POS is only 6.2L black. What a phony$%#&</

It is my understanding from the eyewitnesses that the police car was pulled up so close to the young men that the officer couldn’t even open the door.

However, I am not going to argue with you about it. It is true that if the victim hadn’t HAVE stolen the cigars in the first place the clerk wouldn’t HAVE had to call 911. I do not believe that the punishment for stealing less than $40 worth of cigars the is death. Misdemeanor at best. All witnesses I have heard say that the victim was running from the officer. The officer at that point, if ever, was in no danger. If one can believe the eyewitnesses, the young man was shot once in the back but was able to stop, turn around and raise his hands in surrender before more bullets were pumped into his body. One witness said the officer then shot him as he lay in the street. Perhaps you want your law enforcement officers to act this way. I do not.

By the way, I believe George Zimmerman murdered Trayvon Martin with malice aforethought. Zimmerman’s recent activities are not those of a law-abiding citizen.

If you want untrained people in police departments in possession of these weapons, welcome to North Korea.

There are all sorts of versions of what happened. The officer is said to be gentle and kind. This hardly describes the actions of someone who would shoot a person in the back and then again face forward with his hands up. There’s more to this story than meets the eye. We need to wait for the investigation.

But to act like uncaged wild animals which is what is happening in Ferguson, they set fire and burned the man’s store who Brown robbed. Rioting and looting all over the town, innocent people injured, this is pathetic. Theft everywhere. There’s your North Korea!

The town of Ferguson is in transition from white middle class to black middle class and below. The police in this small city are not trained to handle the behavior of these new people.

Drive I-55 through East St. Louis and you can see for yourself what Ferguson will look like in a few years. It is a dangerous place and looks like a war zone in a third world country.

Outrageous….more looting and violence, another death. How does this achieve justice when more crimes are committed. These actions are used as an excuse to promote very bad behavior. Some protestors tried to stop the looting but failed, the theft and destruction aren’t because Brown was killed it’s because they want an excuse to act like criminals. The poor store owner, where Brown committed robbery, has boarded up what is left of his store. The looters took everything in his convenience store and then set it on fire. How do you even begin to justify this? Punished because 911 was called due to a robbery. What are you suppose to do….I guess nothing….stick your head in the sand, let them steal and do nothing. Another women said her beauty salon was robbed, they took all of her hair products and her hair extensions which were worth a lot of money.

jesse jackson showed up….we know what that instigates, more trouble. if obama wants to say something talk about the level of crime in Ferguson and what you intend to do about it.

Recent photo….doesn’t look like something that belongs in this country….bandanas over their faces to cover their identity, pants hanging down to their knees with their underwear hanging more than half way out, mean and frightening faces, screaming and yelling, throwing their hands up in the air, making fists, writing obscene gestures on buildings, breaking down boarded up buildings, urinating all over the place……………… it has got to stop……………… They are destroying this town. I fell sorry for law enforcement trying to control this mob. One picture of an officer with his legs straddled over his German Shepherd, which doesn’t look too happy. The dog is well trained to detect harm and violence and react accordingly.

If the officer who shot the victim is found guilty then he should be punished and he will. But to ignore the law, disregard respect for officials and completely say your not going to abide by the curfew, then do what is necessary and required by law to protect innocent people and their property, instill safety.

This whole thing is beyond ridiculous. How any can normal human being honestly believe that it is okay to break the law by stealing or armed robbery, or commit any kind of crime that would put themselves or others in jeopardy, and expect to get away Scott free, with no adverse circumstances? Criminals today have become more stupid than there counterparts of years past. At least those criminals knew the hazards and risks of their chosen “profession”, and expected to suffer the consequences of their behavior, but these punks expect not only a slap on the wrist, but a pat on the head telling them how “innocent” and sweet they are. “Poor little defenseless thugs, no one gives us a break”. Wah Wah Wah!
SM: Sadly this has become a way of life in many areas where lawlessness is ok and the police using military type weapons and garb is bad. What a screwed up country this has become.
