The Body of Missing 6 Year Old Ahlittia North Found Deceased in Garbage Bin in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana (Rest in Peace) … Suspect Matthew Flugence Arrested

Another sad and tragic end to a missing child …

Six year old Ahlittia North went missing on Friday, July 12, 2013.  Ahlitta North was last seen Friday night at 11 p.m. in her home in the 2900 block of Destrehan Avenue in Harvey just before bed. However, around 8:30 Saturday morning, the family discovered the child was missing. According to authorities there was no signs of a forced entry and to front door was unlocked, even though North’s stepfather said he remembered locking it. The search continued for the missing six year old.

There is a sad and tragic update in the case of missing 6 year old Ahlittia North. The 6 year old’s body was found in a trash bin not to far from the child’s home in Jefferson Parish. The police have issued an arrest warrant for Matthew Flugence, the nephew of Ahlittia’s stepfather.  Matthew Flugence sometimes baby sat for the 6 year old. According to the ME,  Ahlittia North was stabbed twice in the neck that was most likely the cause of death. She also had two stab wounds to her abdomen. Who would do such a thing to a child?

That’s when they found the girl’s body in a garbage can, wrapped in a blanket from her house and covered in a garbage bag, Normand said.

Investigators looked at the garbage can during their first search of the neighborhood, so they know the body was put inside sometime after Saturday — but they still don’t know when, he said.

It’s possible Ahlittia’s body was placed there so the garbage trucks would take it away. Normand said garbage collection in the neighborhood happens Tuesday mornings.

Sheriff Newell Normand said Matthew Flugence was arrested Tuesday night while walking in Westwego. The suspect’s brother, 21-year-old Russell Flugence, was arrested and charged with obstruction of justice for allegedly withholding information about the case. Once again we are witness to a crime that should never have taken place. Matthew Flugence faces first degree murder charges in the death of Ahlittia North; however, this is not his first brush with the law and a crime against a little girl. Flugence had an outstanding warrant on a charge of sexual battery involving an 11-year old Harvey girl.

Normand says the 20-year-old Flugence was taken into custody without incident. Deputies say at the time of his arrest he was carrying a knife.

Flugence faces a first-degree murder charge in the death of North, and there is an outstanding warrant on a charge of sexual battery involving an 11-year old Harvey girl.

The Job Killing Obama Healthcare Legislation Law … 74% of Small Businesses will Fire Workers and Cut Hours under Obamacare

Obamacare … this is the reason why a bill that affects so many Americans is supposed to be read, discussed and passed by a bipartisan vote.

According to a recent poll, the Chambers survey showed that three-quarters of small businesses are still making plans to avoid the costly Obamacare law by firing workers to get under 50 employees, reducing hours of full-time staff, or shift many to part-time. At a time in which the unemployment rate is consistently above 7%, so many Americans find themselves underemployed and food stamps are at an all time high, now small businesses have this terrible law thrust upon than that is a job killer and will now have workers converted for full time to part time. The Obama administration has already delayed the employer mandate until 2015 as they scramble to implement this fiasco. The House looks to take a vote to delay the individual mandate as well. However, no matter, whether the delay is one year or 2, employers are already making decisions to deal with the law so to defray the new expenses in Obamacare.   So can some one explain again how Obamacare is good for America?

Despite the administration’s controversial decision to delay forcing companies to join Obamacare for a year, three-quarters of small businesses are still making plans to duck the costly law by firing workers, reducing hours of full-time staff, or shift many to part-time, according to a sobering survey released by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

“Small businesses expect the requirement to negatively impact their employees. Twenty-seven percent say they will cut hours to reduce full time employees, 24 percent will reduce hiring, and 23 percent plan to replace full time employees with part-time workers to avoid triggering the mandate,” said the Chamber business survey provided to Secrets.

Under Obamacare, just 30 hours — not the nationally recognized 40 hours — is considered full-time. Companies with 50 full-time workers or more are required to provide health care, or pay a fine.

  • 77 percent continue to think the U.S. economy is on the wrong track. However, small businesses are more optimistic about their local economy and individual business.
  • The majority (61 percent) of small businesses do not have plans to hire next year.
  • Concerns about regulation have increased significantly from 35 percent last quarter to 42 percent now.

This should come as a shock to no one, you were all warned that this would happen. But we were just called racists and Obama haters. No, we were calling the signature piece of Barack Obama legislation for what it was, a disaster that was terrible for Americans and America.

NYT’s Polling Analyst Nate Silver Says the Republicans May Retake The Senate In 2014

Nate Silver, the NY Times polling analyst and considered the new wiz kid of political polling says that the GOP has a real chance of retaking the US Senate in 2014. Silver wrote on his “Five Thirty Eight” blog that it will not be easy for the Republicans, but control for the Senate has become a toss up. The recent announcement of Democratic Gov. Brian Schweitzer of Montana not to run for Senate has all but put that seat into the hands of the GOP. Democrats face other uphill battles in predominately “red” states with open seats formerly held by Democrats like South Dakota and West Virginia.Nate  Silver puts forth a race-by-race analysis of the Senate that suggests that Republicans might now be close to even-money to win control of the chamber after next year’s elections.

However, there is a long way to go between the 2014 elections, anything could happen and in order to win elections, the GOP has to put forth good candidates that act like Republicans, follow Republican principles and don’t alienate their base. The electorate is not just going to give it to them.

The New York Times polling analyst Nate Silver believes that Republicans may have a shot at retaking the Senate.

“A race-by-race analysis of the Senate, in fact, suggests that Republicans might now be close to even-money to win control of the chamber after next year’s elections,” Silver writes on his “Five Thirty Eight” blog. “Our best guess, after assigning probabilities of the likelihood of a G.O.P. pickup in each state, is that Republicans will end up with somewhere between 50 and 51 Senate seats after 2014, putting them right on the threshold of a majority.”
