YOU LIE … VP Joe Biden During Debate Contradicts State Department on Benghazi Security … Said “We” Didn’t Know of Requests for more Security in Libya .. UM, Really?

Did Joe Biden lie through his pearly, ultra white teeth last night with regards to Benghazi and requests for more security in Libya? Or was  this when Obama had locked Joe away in a closet so that he would not commit any gaffes?

Following the VP debate, even NBC’s Andrea Mitchell caught Biden’s less than honest answer with regards to Beghazi. Biden seemed to throw the Intelligence community under the bus and blamed them for the info they had at hand. Then Biden leveled the whopper of the evening …  “We were not told that they wanted more security”. HUH? Ok America, forget that Biden was smirking and acting like a jerk and a cranky old man, he just lied to America on Benghazi and why there was not more security. As Powerline refers to it … the Libya Dodge.

Take a good look as to what was said just a day earlier during House hearings under oath on Benghazi and who knew what, who asked for what and when. It was a far different story than what Joe Biden spouted off during the debate.

Vice President Joe Biden claimed that the administration wasn’t aware of requests for more security in Libya before the Sept. 11 attacks on the U.S. mission in Benghazi during Thursday night’s debate, contradicting two State Department officials and the former head of diplomatic security in Libya.

“We weren’t told they wanted more security. We did not know they wanted more security there,” Biden said.

In fact, two security officials who worked for the State Department in Libya at the time testified Thursday that they repeatedly requested more security and two State Department officials admitted they had denied those requests.

“All of us at post were in sync that we wanted these resources,” the top regional security officer in Libya over the summer, Eric Nordstrom, testified. “In those conversations, I was specifically told [by Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Charlene Lamb] ‘You cannot request an SST extension.‘ I determined I was told that because there would be too much political cost. We went ahead and requested it anyway.”

Nordstrom was so critical of the State Department’s reluctance to respond to his calls for more security that he said, “For me, the Taliban is on the inside of the building.”

“We felt great frustration that those requests were ignored or just never met,” testified Lt. Col. Andrew Wood, a Utah National Guardsman who was leading a security team in Libya until August.

House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA) released the unclassified cables containing those requests.

The outcome of this debate is that Biden just gave Benghazi-gate more legs.

Good Ol’ Joe was too busy practicing his debate laughing skills that he did not have time to watch the hearings. So if he is ignorant of the facts, it means that he is kept on a very short leash.

Is it just me or does the MSM seem to be coming forward (with little baby steps) and exposing little lies by this administration? If so, it’s a positive step in the right direction but will take the American people a long time to ever trust them again. Hopefully they are beginning to see that they betrayed their countrymen for a couple of fish oil salesmen.

Another outcome? Paul Ryan effectively put the 47% issue to bed.

RYAN: … Mitt Romney’s a good man. He cares about 100% of Americans in this country. And with respect to that quote, I think the vice president very well knows that sometimes the words don’t come out of your mouth the right way.

Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) poked fun at Vice President Biden’s propensity for making gaffes during Thursday night’s debate in Danville, Ky.

Ryan made the dig after Biden went after Mitt Romney’s comment during a fundraiser that 47 percent of the country would never vote for him or take responsibility for their lives.

obama and biden have been way too busy campaigning to attend daily national security briefings or to read the written dailies.
now they’ll throw the intelligence services under the bus to protect their lying incompetent butts.
nov. 6th is way to far away, i can’t wait to throw them all out.

Would anyone else agree with me that their defense of ‘we didn’t know’ is worse? Doesn’t that scare anyone else that this administration didn’t know? Isn’t it their responsibility to know? How about the fact that it is the height of stupidity to think that the ‘we didn’t know’ argument was the choice to make here?
