Former FL Governor Jeb Bush not being Vetted for VP … Thank God

This might be the best news I have heard all day, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush is not being vetted as Mitt Romney’s VP. I cannot see any way how Jeb Bush could be a positive for Romney. Jeb Bush could be very influential in Florida, but the last thing the GOP needs is a “Bush” on the ticket.

Former Gov. Jeb Bush of Florida is not being vetted for the job of vice president by presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, his son said in a Monday interview.

“He’s not being vetted right now,” George P. Bush said on CNN’s “The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer.” “He’s one of the few politicians that does what he says in the sense that he’s not actively pursuing a higher office.”

Mitt Romney Calls Health Care Mandate What the SCOTUS Ruled it As … a ‘Tax’

Mitt Romney said the federal health care reform mandate constitutes a “tax” Wednesday, contradicting the way a senior adviser to his campaign characterized his position earlier this week.

Allen West’s common sense approach regarding ALL the issues implies that he would make an excellent advisor for Mitt Romney. Allen West for Vice President!

      Allen West questions Romney team
      7/3/12 7:44 AM EDT

Rep. Allen West suggested late Monday that Mitt Romney re-evaluate his campaign advisers, hours after top Romney aide Eric Fehrnstrom said on TV that the individual mandate of President Barack Obama’s health care law is not a tax.

“It’s a tax,” the Florida Republican told Greta Van Susteren of Fox News. “I think that the governor probably needs to look at who he has within his circle of advisers, and probably get … them to provide the right type of counsel and advice.” ….

Romney himself is campaigning on a promise to repeal Obama’s signature first-term accomplishment, and Fehrnstrom’s comment on Monday that his boss doesn’t consider the individual mandate a tax raised eyebrows among Republicans.

      Allen West for Vice President!!

      President Obama’s entitlement society

HANNITY: Last question, we know that the governor is in fact vetting women according to his wife, Ann Romney. We know that Marco Rubio is under consideration. Governor Palin on this very program said that she thinks you would be a great vice presidential choice. Do you know if you might yourself be being vetted for that position of vice president?

WEST: Well, if someone is doing it, they have not let me know, and my biggest focus is to be a good congressional representative. If I have to kind of be that voice crying out in the wilderness right now, I’ll continue to do that. Because this country that I love so dearly, I’m not going to sit around and watch anyone destroy it or take it down the road to perdition.

Mitt Romney: Allen West suggestion ‘welcome’
      7/10/12 1:55 PM EDT

Mitt Romney said on Tuesday “all suggestions are welcome” in his search for a vice president after a voter recommended Rep. Allen West.

“We need a fighter out there,” the voter told Romney at a town hall in Grand Junction, Colo. “I’ve been listening to Allen West talk. He’d make a great vice president. He’s a fighter, that’s what we want.”

“Thank you,” Romney replied. “All suggestions are welcome.”
