Judge Edward Burmilla Deals Blow to Drew Peterson … Rules that Pastor, Kathleen Savio Divorce Lawyer Can Testify

Former Bolingbrook police sergeant Drew Peterson and his defense attorney  Joel Brodsky were just delt a severe blow by trial judge Edward Burmilla and a victory for the prosecution. The judge ruled that Kathleen Savio’s divorce attorney and the pastor of Peterson’s fourth wife, the missing Stacy Peterson, can be called at the trial by prosecutors.

We are very pleased with the judge’s ruling today with regards to the application of the husband-wife privilege. He ruled that not all actions are communicative, and the ones that are not meant to be communication can be admissible in a trial,” said Will County State’s Attorney James Glasgow.

If allowed, Schori is expected to tell a jury that Drew Peterson’s fourth and missing wife, Stacy, told him that she saw the former Bolingbrook cop return home the night his third wife Kathleen Savio was found dead dressed in black and carrying a bag of women’s clothing.

A judge will allow prosecutors to call key witnesses to testify in the Drew Peterson case. The former Bolingbrook police sergeant is preparing to stand trial for the murder of his third wife Kathleen Savio.

Defense attorneys argued the testimony should not be allowed.

The judge says Kathleen Savio’s divorce attorney and the pastor of Peterson’s fourth wife, the missing Stacy Peterson, can be called at the trial.

The judge is allowing the testimony of both key witnesses; however, not without some requirements from prosecutors and more questioning from the judge to the divorce attorney during the trial.

Judge Edward Burmilla ruled on three defense motions Thursday. One is considered a clear victory for prosecutors: Stacy’s Peterson’s pastor will be allowed to testify as long as the state can prove Rev. Neil Schori’s testimony is relevant. Peterson’s attorneys were hoping to get Schori’s statements thrown out based on marital privilege.

Drew Peterson is charged with the murder of his third wife, Kathleen Savio. Savio’s body was exhumed and cause of death was listed as homicide. Savio was found dead in her bathtub in 2004. Her death was initially ruled an accidental drowning in the bath tub.   Jury selection is scheduled to begin July 23, 2012 and opening statements will be the following week.

Why did Barack Obama discriminate against the people who came to see him speak at Cuyahoga Community College?  Talk about your typical Barack Obama and Democrat hypocrisy, President Obama’s presidential campaign checked the identification of the supporters attending Obama’s “blame Bush I am responsible for nothing” event at Cuyahoga Community College. Photo ID was required, yet no where on the ticket did it say such. Furthermore, Obama is dead set against Voter ID laws that require an individual to provide proof before voting.

Barack Obama: “Hypocrisy & Change”

President Barack Obama’s presidential campaign checked the identification of the supporters attending Obama’s “framing” event at Cuyahoga Community College today.

The 1,500 supporters in attendance picked up tickets at campaign offices in Northeast Ohio beginning on Monday, though tickets to the event made no mention of an ID requirement.

Jessica Kershaw, the Obama campaign’s Ohio Press Secretary, confirmed in a statement to BuzzFeed that the campaign checked every supporter’s identification at the door.

“We checked every ID at the door to make sure it matched with the name on the ticket that supporters filled out,” she said. “We did this for every person who came in.”

The Obama campaign has faced infiltrators from the Romney campaign, which has deployed aides and volunteers to blend in with supporters and attend Obama events.

According to Obama and Democrats, this would bee deemed entry discrimination. As the Lonely Conservative states, Obama better hope that Eric Holder does not get wind of this, or “The One” shall face a lawsuit.

Needless to say, Obama’s so-called economic speech was a bust.What did anyone really think Obama was going to present but more of the same, lame, blame game talking points? Obama’s Obamanomics has been a disaster and his plan is just more of the same.

Prior to President Barack Obama’s marathon 54 minute speech in Ohio today, the Obama campaign sent our several statements promising the speech would be a major address framing the campaign going forward. Despite the hype, the speech was mainly a rehash of themes and ideas from the president’s recent stump speeches and his remarks were widely panned as overly long by the political press corps.

Even uber-liberal, and Far Left MSNBC said, MSNBC Panel’s Verdict On Obama Campaign Speech: It Stinks.Guess what America, the reason why Obama’s message stunk, is because Obama’s vision on the economy stinks!!! Barack Obama does not have a clue how to get Americans back to work and after nearly four years of failure I doubt whether he even cares to. No one can be this inept. At some point his lack of jobs vision has to be purposeful.

“I thought this, honestly, was one of the least successful speeches I’ve seen Barack Obama give in several years,” said Newsweek editor Jonathan Alter. “It was long winded. He had a good argument to make, and at the beginning of the speech he seemed to be making it in a fairly compelling way but then he lost the thread.”

Alter said he thought the speech was “way too long” and Obama had “lost the audience by the end.”

Mitt Romney and Barack Obama Tied in Blue State of Michigan, Obama Holds Slim Lead 46.9% to 45.5%

WOW!!!

With all due respect to The Hill, a state that Obama won in 2008 by 16% and Democrat Presidential candidates have won repeatedly won in past Presidential elections 2004, 2000, 1996, and 1992 is hardly considered a “swing state”. It should rightfully be called a “blue” state fed up with Obama.I think we can say officially that “Hope & Change” is a thing of the past.

However, as reported at The Hill, Poll: Obama and Romney statistically tied in swing-state Michigan. If states that Barack  Obama won in 2008 by 16% over John McCain are in play in 2012, Obama is in for a world of hurt in his reelection bid. The “blue” state of Michigan being called a “swing” state just shows how poor a job as President Obama has done and how badly he has handled the economy. This is the second poll  in a row that has showed Obama and Romney are in a virtual tie. Really, the union labor intense state of Michigan up for grabs in 2012? As Weasel Zippers states, “Barry’s world continues its epic collapse before our very eyes.” Obama must now defend another state that should have been considered solid blue.

Mitt Romney has caught President Obama in Michigan, according to a poll released Thursday.

Obama still holds a slight edge in the poll, 46.9 to 45.5, but that’s within the survey’s 2.3 percent margin of error. The poll was conducted by Michigan-based political consultants Foster, McCollum, White & Associates.

It’s the second straight poll to show Obama and Romney in a dead heat in the Wolverine State. Romney held a 1-point advantage in an EPIC-MRA poll released last week.

Even the undecided voters in Michigan are beginning to take Obama’s and Bill Clinton’s words to heart regarding the economy. Obama stated that if he did not fix the economy in 4 years that he would be a one term President. Clinton begged voters in 2010 to give Democrats 2 more years. It looks like Obama will get his wish, the economy is in the tank and he will be a one term wonder.

According to RCP, Obama had a double digit lead in Michigan a month ago. However, that was then. Much more at Hot Air including an interesting data nugget from the poll crosstabs that is a big plus for Mitt Romney.

According to a recent Pew Research Center poll, Barack Obama, the International rock star President is no longer.Global opinion of Obama was declined in 21 countries. As reported at the Politico, approval of Obama’s international policies has dropped from 78% to 63% in Europe; from 34% to 15% in Muslim countries; from 40% to 22% in Russia; and from 57% to 27% in China.

Some countries remained confident in Obama, but others like Muslim countries did not. Hmm. You mean that Obama apology tour and the outreach by Obama to the Muslim world no longer calling it a “global war on terror” but instead an “overseas contingency operation” did not work? Go figure. Barack Obama also likes to tout the drone strikes to show how tough he is on terrorism, even though Obama inherited it from GWB. It would seem that in predominantly Muslim nations, American anti-terrorism efforts are still widely unpopular.

Global approval of President Barack Obama’s policies has declined significantly since he first took office, while overall confidence in him and attitudes toward the U.S. have slipped modestly as a consequence.

Europeans and Japanese remain largely confident in Obama, albeit somewhat less so than in 2009, while Muslim publics remain largely critical. A similar pattern characterizes overall ratings for the U.S. – in the EU and Japan, views are still positive, but the U.S. remains unpopular in nations such as Egypt, Jordan, Turkey and Pakistan.

Meanwhile, support for Obama has waned significantly in China. Since 2009, confidence in the American president has declined by 24 percentage points and approval of his policies has fallen 30 points. Mexicans have also soured on his policies, and many fewer express confidence in him today.
