Judge Kenneth Lester Revokes George Zimmerman’s Bail in Shooting Death of Trayvon Martin (VIDEO)
George Zimmerman’s bond revoked.
Circuit Judge Kenneth Lester has revoked George Zimerman’s bond in the second degree murder shooting death of 17 year old Trayvon Martin. The bond reversal gives Zimmerman 48 hours to turn himself in to the authorities. The judge made his decision after it was determined that George Zimmerman and his wife had not been truthful regarding paypal donations that had been collected prior to his initial bond hearing. Circuit Judge Kenneth Lester said that George Zimmerman and his wife misled the court about how much money they had available when his bond was set for $150,000 in April. Prosecutors claim Zimmerman had $135,000 available that had been raised by a website he set up.
Judge Revokes Zimmerman’s Bond
In a new motion, prosecutors accused Zimmerman and his wife of lying to the judge during a bond hearing about money they collected for his defense.
Prosecutors allege Zimmerman’s wife knew about the donations her husband had collected through a PayPal account, but didn’t mention the money at his bond hearing.
The account ultimately collected about $200,000, his attorney later revealed.
“Defendant has intentionally deceived the court with the assistance of his wife,” the motion says. “During the jail phone calls both of them spoke in code to hide what they were doing.”
Prosecutor Bernie de la Rionda told the judge today that “this court was led to believe that they didn’t have a single penny” at the earlier bond hearing.
This can’t be good from a credibility standpoint when it comes to the murder trail and a pretty foolish and unnecessary thing that was done. Just stupid. In a he said, he said case, credibility is everything.

The PayPal account was for his defense fund, not for bail. Zimmerman was not a flight risk, which is the only reason to revoke bail. If the Prosecution knew at the bail hearing about the account why didn’t they bring it up than? Guess I have become a real skeptic about this case, the media and the entire Prosecution.
Well, I was with Zimmy when he was in the right, but this is a separate issue.
Lying to a Judge tops the list as one of the dumbest things you can do. It puts you in a
different class of MORON. The Cindy Anthony
class of stupidity.
Judge’s can and will find out about the good bad and the fugly. So, you might as well just come clean right out of the gate… and use your head.
That was a bush league move Zimmy ol’ boy. It came back and bit you in the buns.
Zimmerman should have someone else handling the defense fund. Unless he can prove that money was for defense only, the judge is going to be in a bad mood.
Since when does a court set bail based on the amount of assets the accused has access to? This is just more crap from the pressure applied by the race baiters. Shame on the prosecutor and the court.
It is now being reported that the fund is a defense trust and Zimmerman has no access to them personally. The fund is managed by a third party.
IMO this is a stunt by the court and the prosecutor to make the public have a poor attitude towards Zimmerman. This type of behavior, if proven, should anger the public to the point that they will demand the judge and the prosecutor be removed from the case.
And since when was the internet donation site a big secret? It was all over the news. The prosecution is pretending they didn’t know about it.
This is what happens when the media takes over a story. If they were not going to grant him the bond, they should have done so from the beginning.

Still, he was DECEPTIVE, and credibility is huge.
He and the Wife knew, and wanted the Court to believe they were destitute so that they would not be liable for legal expenses.
I’m with Carpe, now I am not sure I can believe anything that Zimmy or his Legal Counsel come up with.
There was NO NEED not to divulge the correct financial information. Even if GZ had no access to the funds- they were solicited and raised and to be USED by him, personally- so to me- that is not a “gift”—it is an asset and income and should be listed as such. Who cares if it was monitored by a Third Party—PAYPAL is in essence, just a personal Checking/Credit Account.
This really was a moronic move and George not only shot TM, he also just shot himself in the leg.
