      24 year old Tristan V.
      was member of a shootingclub, had linceses for 5 guns owned 3 (not clear if those were used).

      He left a note at his home, but in that note there was no clear motive.

      In 2003 he had an encouter with the police about guns/ammo but the Public Prosecuter didn’t press charges.

      Condoleancies for the families of the dead.
      and strenght for those injured.

      Dolf, that’s interesting info you point out there.

      Bottom line is—there will always be violence and insanity in any Culture or Country.

      Do you think you can answer a question candidly—do you feel that your Government is overall too liberal in terms of it’s Justice System and the freedoms it allows it Citizens? I can most definetly see the attractive benefits of the live and let live law–but, in comparison to North America (which as you know —we have our own problems with our Legal System aplenty) which system do you believe to be more affective in the end?

      BTW, I am a strong supporter of the NRA and our Rights, as afforded under our Constitutional Laws to bear Arms.

      It sounds like this man was unstable at best. My thoughts & prayers for the victims and their loved ones.

      @Michelle: Yes he was, the usual suspect, loner, fascinated by weapons.

      @NGBoston:

      Yes, I do feel that we went to far to the left here. At 1 moment it seemed that the criminal had more rights then the victim (that changed). But which system is better? Probably a combination of both.
      I think that esp. Dutch immigration laws are very strickt (perhaps not for you as a US citizen) a lot more then the US laws.

      Liberal here is GOP party in the US (funny eh)
