2010 Florida US Senate Race: Charlie Crist … Once Republican, Turned Independent will Caucus with the Democrats

Shocker … Charlie Crist will caucus with the Democrats if he wins the Florida US Senate election, REALLY?

Surprise, surprise, surprise …so-called Independent, the Democrat in Independents clothing, Charlie Crist will caucus with the Democrat party if he wins the 2010 midterm election for the Florida US Senate seat. Talk about you “no dah” moment of politics. Did any one really think that Crist would caucus with Republicans after he lied to the GOP and the people of Florida when he said he would only run as a Republicans? Was there ever any doubt?

Was there really any doubt who Charlie Crist would be caucusing with?

Florida Gov. Charlie Crist would caucus with Senate Democrats if he wins Florida’s three-way U.S. Senate contest on Tuesday, a close advisor told Washington Wire Friday.

That’s a big “if.” Mr. Crist is trailing Republican candidate Marco Rubio in most polls. But the declaration by Florida trial lawyer John Morgan sheds light on one of the many mysteries in the Bill Clinton-Charlie Crist-Kendrick Meek imbroglio.

“Crist is going to caucus with the Democrats,” Mr. Morgan said. “I don’t think there’s any ifs, ands or buts about it. It would be, in a very tight year, almost like a Democratic pickup in a solid Republican state.”

Crist has been running as a Democrat ever since he realized that he would lose badly to Marco Rubio in the republican primary. Crist then became an independent out of convenience and have even tried to force Democrat primary winner Kendrick Meek out of the race so that he could collect the Democrat vote.

All of Crist’s behind the scene efforts to get Democrat Meek out of the race have met with scorn from the Florida electorate

Crist presently trail Republican Marco Rubio badly in the three way race to become the next US Senator from the Sunshine state. According to the most recent Rasmussen poll, Rubio (R) 50%, Crist (I) 30% and Meek 16% (D).It is obvious that Crist’s deserate attempts to win the senate seat at all cost has been looked upon with disgust by the Florida voters. Just a week ago, Rubio only had a 10% point lead over Crist … that has doubled as the Florida voters have realized that Crist is nothing more than a typical, political opportunist who stands for nothing except maintaining power. The liberal MSM ponders whether a Meek withdrawal from the election would have changed the game. More like muddied the political water. Sorry WAPO, but Rubio was up big as seen by RCPwhere average polling has Rubio up by 19%. Sadly, WAOP quotes a left-leaning poll for their premise. Sorry Charlie, in the political environment that exists in 2010, if  former President Bill Clinton and Charlie Crist had made a backroom, shady deal with Meek, the Florida voters would have delivered a backlash against Crist comparable to the “corn husker” kickback against Ben Nelson in Nebraska.

From the outset Crist’s only chance of winning was to have the Democrat candidate drop out of the race. What an election strategy. Thankfully, Kendrick Meek said no to Crist’s cross. What is a candidate with no reason to vote for him to do?  Le·gal In·sur·rec·tion asks, what else can Charlie give up in order to become Senator, “certainly not his pride or honor, because those were given up long ago.” Agreed!

We have stated from the outset, Crist would lose because he is the poster child of exactly what the American voter is against … a self-serving, self-absorbed, I will say anything to get elected politician. Why would any one want that in Washington, DC, as that is exactly what WE THE PEOPLE are trying to purge.

Talk about a political charade blowing up in the face of Crist, Clinton and the Democrat political machine.

Crist is a joke. It will be a pleasure retiring this political wh_re.

Crist changes his affiliation so often he needs to look at his name tag to even remember who he is.

All of these people like Crist & Sprecter in PA just show what is wrong with these narcisist politicians. They act like no one else can do the job and they are just so needed or else the world will emplode.

      Good riddance.
