2012 Nebraska Senate Election:Dem Ben Nelson Trails Republican Challenger Gov. Heineman by 31 points

Obamacare proves to be a death sentence for Nebraska Senator Ben Nelson.

Drip, drip, TIDAL WAVE … Ben Nelson behind by 31% in Nebraska Senate race. Let this be a reminder to Democrats, you sleep with dogs and you get flees. How are House and Senate Democrats going to avoid Obamacare around their necks in the 2010 and 2012 elections?

Obamacare may prove terminal for Ben Nelson’s political career

Hey Incumbent Democrat Ben Nelson, how does that Corn Husker Kick back feel now? Think Nebraskans like the fact that you sold your soul to Obama and Harry Reid? As states at Hot Air, even though Nebraskans are to receive “hundreds of millions of dollars for his home state in a grubby deal with Harry Reid for his vote on ObamaCare, 55% of Nebraskans disapprove of Nelson’s performance.”

In the most recent Rasmussen poll, if Nebraska Governor Republican Dave Heineman ran against Democrat incumbent Senator Ben “Cornhusker kickback” Nelson, Heineman would get 61% of the vote while Nelson only 30%.  Even though this is a hypothetical contest at this point, Nelson is so untrusted and damaged goods by his actions with voting for Obamacare … he’s done!

If Governor Dave Heineman challenges Nelson for the Senate job, a new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey shows the Republican would get 61% of the vote while Nelson would get just 30%. Nelson was reelected to a second Senate term in 2006 with 64% of the vote.

Nelson’s health care vote is clearly dragging his numbers down. Just 17% of Nebraska voters approve of the deal their senator made on Medicaid in exchange for his vote in support of the plan. Overall, 64% oppose the health care legislation, including 53% who are Strongly Opposed. In Nebraska, opposition is even stronger than it is nationally.

Fifty-six percent (56%) of voters in the state believe that passage of the legislation will hurt the quality of care, and 62% say it will raise costs.

Even with the fact that Nelson is not up for re-election until 2012, he is toast. Corn Husker nation will not forget his flip-flop on principle. Makes one really want to get behind Obamacare doesn’t it? Vote for the government take over of health care and lose your House or Senate seat.

UPDATE I: Nelson will air a new TV ad in which he attempts to SPIN the opposition claims that the Senate legislation represents a government takeover.

These out of touch clown just don’t get it. The people do not want to hear from these lying, pay for vote politicians. Speaking of clowns and jokers, looks like some one new has been “Jokerized”.

The PEOPLE have come to know that everything that comes from their mouth is a lie. The last think that Nebraskans want to hear is more BS from Ben Nelson, especially this soon after he flip-flopped and decided not to represent the people who elected him.

Just 17% of Nebraska voters approve of the deal their senator made on Medicaid in exchange for his vote in support of the plan. Does any one honestly think that a Ben Nelson ad is going to help? The more people became aware of Obamacare, the more they hated it. This is not only true in Nebraska, but across the United States.

“With all the distortions about health care reform, I want you to hear directly from me,” the Democratic senator says in the ad.

Nelson, dressed in an open-necked shirt and sweater, speaks directly into the camera during the 30-second ad.

The message will be launched during the Nebraska-Arizona football game and continue to air statewide for an undisclosed number of days.

Truthfully never thought the conscientious Mr. Nelson’s vote could be so cheaply bought…RIP, Ben!

Of course the poll numbers are low. Those against reform wanted Nelson to vote against reform.
Those for reform wanted the public option. Not to mention Scott Rasmussen always has his thumb on the scale when he is polling something that he hopes will go against Democrats.

Nebraska is populated with self-reliant folks
who reject trading away their freedoms for a cookie.
Sleazy politicians who would subject the voters
to an outrageous power scam are quickly tossed
into the trash can. So goes Nelson!
