Barack Obama Now Wants Republicans to Join Health Care Debate on TV

Now Mr. President? After a year of preventing Republicans from the health care process, you now want to include them, so what changed? After all this time of claiming to be bi-partisan, now Obama wants the appearance of reaching across the aisle.

Obama still playing games with Americans health care

President Barack Hussein Obama stated in an interview with Katie Couric stated that he wanted to meet with Republicans to discuss health care reform. Oh, and the meeting would be televised and Obama looked forward to hearing Republican ideas.

President Barack Obama is planning to host a televised meeting with Republican and Democratic congressional leaders on health care reform.

The Feb. 25 meeting is an attempt to reach across the aisle but not a signal that the president plans to start over, as Republicans have demanded, a White House official said.

“I want to come back [after the Presidents Day congressional recess] and have a large meeting — Republicans and Democrats — to go through, systematically, all the best ideas that are out there and move it forward,” Obama said in an interview with Katie Couric during CBS’s Super Bowl pre-game show Sunday.

My what a difference the election of Republican Senator from Massachusetts Scott Brown makes. Does anyone think that this “so-called” bi-partisan meeting would be occurring if Dems had not lost the filibuster-proof majority?

Want a road map to health care … START FROM SCRATCH! Actually, Americans want the focus taken off health care and put on jobs. Americans do not trust the Presidents plan to lower costs.

Obama looks to get ideas from Republicans; however, I have one question to the President … I thought you said you were including them all along? You stated it was the Republicans that were being the Party of “No”. So in the end, President Obama lied to the public and never included the Republicans in any of the discussions, otherwise why would he need to now?

Obama said he wants to “look at the Republican ideas that are out there.”

“If we can go, step by step, through a series of these issues and arrive at some agreements, then, procedurally, there’s no reason why we can’t do it a lot faster the process took last year,” he said.

A note to Republicans, the American poeple do not want the health care system overhauled, we want it tweaked and fixes made where they are needed. Just say no to Obamacare.

Red State is spot on as to what President Obama wants Republicans to do when he is asking to meet suddenly to discuss health care in their post, ‘The 19 Televised Pleadings by Obama to the GOP on Health Care.’ This has nothing to do with bi-partisan health care, it has everything to do with dragging Republicans down to the poll levels that Democrats have with the American public with their unpopular legislation.

1) Please won’t you help us spend $2.5 trillion we don’t have?

2) Please won’t you join us in enraging the independent voters and your base?

3) Please won’t you believe that if I will agree with any of your policies, I can get Senator Reid and the Speaker to enact it? (snipped, read the rest)

Beware Republicans and American public … As referenced by Blue Crab Boulevard, this is a trap and an ambush. The Republicans are about to walk into The Little Big Horn or I refer to it as Christians led into the Roman Colosseum. This is a photo-op ploy and a politicization of the health care debate.

In other words, join Obama in the televised auto de fe, but he will do what he intends regardless.

Republicans would be crazy to rise to this bait. A big photo-op for Obama with zero chance for any meaningful changes to a bill that steals liberty from American citizens. Kill the bill(s) and start over from scratch.

Do not walk into this, Republicans. Standing strong against this abomination has worked so far and the American public is grateful. (Need proof? Look to Massachusetts, Virginia and New Jersey.)

Republicans know that “We the People” do not want Obamacare renovated … we want any form of health care to start from scratch. Stick to your guns Republicans otherwise you will not take over the House or Senate in November. Instead, you will be looked upon the same as the Democrats who cared nothing of the will of the People.
Republicans, go against the will of the people and you are no different than Democrats.

to go through, systematically, all the best ideas that are out there and move it forward,”

Now guess what “ideas” will be touted as the “best”. First two guesses don’t count.

No doubt this is a willful strategy. Liberals tried to force sociolisum and constitutional abuse on us — quick, before anyone could do anything about it. Thinking reversal nearly impossible, for it would make reversal look hateful to — ‘people’. ANd no doubt liberals were and are set to call that mantra.

Now force did not work, so liberals choose to steal the constitutional rights from us “one bolt at a time.” Debate now — only a progressive piece of American failure at a time.

There were noticeable contentions at past Tea Parties. No Obama, no sociolist, yes freedom and responsibilty, yes to our constitution, and sure enough no 3rd party to split our efforts, which assure sociolists their win.

One opinion only: right now the best thing liberals can do to divide us and start so much as a 5% 3rd party is help bring in arguments of abortion and for Republicans to debate this health care thing Tea Party people so dislike. No to liberal ‘fed’ arsonic.

Obama seeks to make republicans look bad on national tv. this is too easy of a turn around for the democrats and too quick.
the republicans need to be weary of this invitation and keep up the demand to drop the present bill and. start over.
offering to listen to their ideas is not good enough. he needs to start from scratch if he is serious

Why did the democrats not want the media involved before the reform was shot down ? dirty dealings after hours, shady people and possibly some criminal activity maybe ?

This entire health care debate is Bullshit.

In one of his speeches he said, “I am the President”, no your not, you a egoistical, pompas, conceited, selfish, self-centered, communist a~~hole with terrorist friends and illegal immigrant relatives, I’m sure there are more in addition to his aunt, which he clearly knew about….he cannot salute the flag which many American’s died for so we could remain a free country…I cannot stomach him anymore….!!!!Complete dishonest, he lies and he lies and he lies….!!! He is destroying America…!!

    7. super dave on February 9th, 2010 4:24 pm

Republicans should avoid this dog and pony show. obama feels the need to be seen reading his speech on tv again. it’s his only comfort.

Come on, give the man some credit. He totally whooped their asses on their own ground. Strangely enough the Reps found no valid argument against his points. It was beautiful. Since the childish reps will now be even more stubborn I don’t know if this was really a good move, but it was good for the soul.

      Brie, stick to cheese please.
      ___________
SM … JJ, Obama has all the votes he needs with his own party and he cannot pass his BS Obamacare bill. After having witnessed Brown’s victory in MASS and with the upcoming midterms, the Dems do not even have the votes they had over the summer.

The republicans did not kill Obamacare … America did!!!

In poll after poll, WE THE PEOPLE showed their opposition to government controlled healthcare. In Town Hall meetings, WE THE PEOPLE showed opposition to Obamacare.

Still, this socialist wanted to ram it down our throats.

President Obama, you have been weighed, you have been measured and you have been found wanting.

People wanted health care reforms to the present insurance system, they did not want a 2700 page Marxist take over.

this was nothing more than obama wanting to see himself on tv again.
the republicans had no intention of falling for this publicity trap for barry o.
i guess he gave another one of his speeches written by someone else and recorded on his prompter. notice how he always cocks his head to the side asking himself if he really knows what he is talking about ?

    10. super dave on February 10th, 2010 10:19 am

barry does not want bipartisan, he wants the republicans to give up and let him have his way.
it was nothing more than another lie.

Your Characterisations of Pres. Obama are really disgusting and and unfair, as usual.
      ____________
SM: Characterizations? Hardly … Sorry if the man cannot tell the truth. He said he was going to be hope and change … He is far from any change and he has left the Democrat party with no hope.

For one year this man kept Republicans out of the loop because in his sick, twisted, Socialist mind he thought he had a mandate to create a Marxist country. Obama never was going to include Republicans because with the overwhelming majority of Dems in the House and the Senate, he did not have to.

However, a funny thing happened on the way to the Kremlin for Obama. The people of America rose up against him and said HELL NO.

The Republicans are not the PARTY of NO … WE THE PEOPLE SAID, “HELLO NO”!!!

Obama is so typical an obviously transparent.

The One will be one and done and the only question left is whether he will go done in history as a worse President than Jimmy Carter.
