59% of Americans Believe Khalid Sheikh Mohammed (KSM) Should be Tried in Military Court … Obama in Opposition of the People Again

Mmm, Mmm, Mmm … Barack Hussein Obama:

Once again President Barack Hussein Obama finds himself on the wring side of the American people and history. By an overwhelming 59% to 36%, Americans believe accused September 11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed should be tried in a military court, rather than in a civilian criminal court.

Is it any wonder why Barack Obama’s approval rating continues to go down? The Obamamessiah continues to thumb his nose at the will of the American people and the main stream view on dealing with issues. Nothing this President does is popular with the American people. Get ready for his poll numbers to sink like a rock.

Poll conducted Nov. 20-22 USA Today/Gallup poll

Once again Obama is seen to only be pandering to his Democrat base with this decision. Republicans disagree with KSM being tried in a civilian criminal court by 74% to 22%. But more important to Obama’s approval numbers is that by an astounding 63% to 32% Independents disapprove of Obama’s choice.

As The Astute Blogger questions, how long will it take Obama to throw Holder under the bus to save face.

Beware of the bus, Obama is at the wheel

However, Barack Obama claims it was not his decision, but that of Attorney General Eric Holder. The AG announced that Mohammed+’s case would move from a military tribunal in Guantanamo Bay, where the admitted terrorist was originally charged, to a federal court in New York City. Obama had Holder go out on a limb with this decision to obviously provide cover for The One. In no way should any one but the President make the decision to change venues of a military tribunal to a civilian criminal court. In this case, the dithering President opted to have the buck stop with some one else. However, Obama can throw Holder under the bus if needed when the American people turn even more against this decision.

It is becoming quite obvious that Obama is doing this stuff to spite what America believes.

What to do, what to do? One or more of our employees
is acting against our wishes. We make our desires known
and he/they assume they know better and do the exact
opposite of our direction. What to do. In MacDonalds,
an employee would be canned right away. How long
will it take to pound some representation into this sucker?
I think we should post his job on Craig’s list now.

Call me stupid—but why would this case NOT be tried in a Military court? Really can’t figure out O-Bomb-a’s mind set behind this one??? Other than—once again his inexperience shows, or as Editor suggests this is intentional on his part??? So, should that be the case then the last remaining question is simpy….WHY?

      Hmnnnnnnn…guess I’m just confused………

Hate to mention this, but President George W. Bush started this travesty as mentioned in the Washington Post:

“By contrast, there is no question about the legitimacy of U.S. federal courts to incapacitate terrorists. Many of Holder’s critics appear to have forgotten that the Bush administration used civilian courts to put away dozens of terrorists, including “shoe bomber” Richard Reid; al-Qaeda agent Jose Padilla; “American Taliban” John Walker Lindh; the Lackawanna Six; and Zacarias Moussaoui, who was prosecuted for the same conspiracy for which Mohammed is likely to be charged. Many of these terrorists are locked in a supermax prison in Colorado, never to be seen again.” Jim Comey and Jack Goldsmith, deputy attorney general and assistant attorney general respectively during the Bush administration.

This, of course, does not make it right nor appropriate. Terrorists declared war on us and the rational approach is nothing short of a military court of war.

I feel that the punishments must be adjusted to fit the crime as well.

While there is much to hold President Obama for, he is definitely not setting any precedent with this travesty of justice. This is where he neede to set his own precedent and hold these terrorists accountable in a military trial.

Perhaps the next president in 2012 will!

#9 Poor decision on the Bush administration then. These terrorist should be tried in a Military Court, not a civilian court. What about it Obama? Where is the change?
