LEFT Wing Liars and Media Wins … Rush Limbaugh Sacked from NFL St Louis Rams Bid

It’s a sad day in America when lies and slander can prevent a private citizen from Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. Conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh has been dropped from the group looking to bid on the St. Louis Rams.

Limbaugh was to be a limited partner in a group headed by St. Louis Blues chairman Dave Checketts. Checketts said in a statement Wednesday that Limbaugh’s participation had become a complication in the group’s efforts and the bid will move forward without him.

Checketts told the Associated Press he will have no further comment on the bid process.

As the Gateway Pundit states, State-Run Media Liars Win!

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell had stated that the NFL is no place for divisive comments. However, Goodell seems to think that its ok to give convicts, law breakers and players responsible for others deaths a second chance.

As we had previously posted, it is rather amazing that Rush does not belong in the NFL, yet as The Powers that Be writes … look who is.

PowerLine states, Rush is Out and offers this final observation that all should head. Because at some point, it might just be you.

A final observation, perhaps too obvious to require saying: It’s no coincidence that Democratic Party outlets like CNN had to dredge up fake quotes to make their case. Nothing Rush actually said would do the trick, even though he’s been on the radio three hours a day, five days a week, for more than twenty years. That really tells you all you need to know.

Our final observation is that to word of wise to the LEFT. Do not ask for things they might come true. Had you allowed Rush to become a part owner of the Rams he might have taken a fancy to his new endeavor and taken time of his radio show to devote to being an owner. The NFL is a big boys club after all. However, since you have seen fit to prevent him from this, guess what. he will remain on the radio and be an even bigger voice against the LEFT, Liberalism, Socialism and Obama.

In the end, because of the false cries of racism and slanderous accusations, the LEFT has actually made Rush Limbaugh a martyr to the out of control use of the race card. Republicans are called it constantly for disagreeing with any Obama policy. Think these chickens are not going to come home to roost? Think again.

he country was in its right to vote out conservatives in 2006 and 2008, whether the “Right” liked it or not.

Rush has a constitutional right to be a hate-mongering, misogynist, race-baiting obstructionist, whether the “Left” likes it or not.

Rush had every right to TRY to become a part owner of an NFL team with all the money he’s horded from his daily hate-mongering, misogynist, race-baiting obstructionism, whether the Left likes it or not.

The NFL has every right to kick him between the uprights (figurativ ely…alth ough literally would be cool with me too) whether Rush and his fanatics like it or not.

Makes me proud to be an American.

The notion of a liberal bias is particularly absurd in this case because most NFL team owners tend to lean right politically. Jim Irsay, the owner of the Indianapolis Colts, who spoke against voting for Limbaugh, is a well-known product of the flower child generation and is an exception to the rule of political conservatism among NFL owners. The fact is, NFL owners care a lot more about money than they do about politics. Not only would Limbaugh’s presence in the ownership circle have caused marketing problems for the league, his involvement would have hurt the product. Many, many black players would refuse to play for any team owned by him. This isn’t an issue of liberal media bias so much as the direct response of many people to his statements.

Rush Limbaugh is a funny comedian! I listen to his show every chance I get. He’d be good for the Rams.

    4. Gentry on October 15th, 2009 12:34 pm

Rush needed no help from the left or anyone else to lose his chance at NFL stardom – his mouth did it for him.

The left as always behaves like spoiled brats who will do anything to get their way. A bunch of cry babies and liars. Sharpton and Jackson are just the icing on the cake. Go into their background, a whole can of worms there.

    7. Chef Troll on October 15th, 2009 1:42 pm

I lost any respect I had for ESPN’s Michael Wilbon after he uttered a “quote” from a Soros-Smear-Machine website attributed to Limbaugh. Turned out Limbaugh never said it or anything similar to it.

Then Wilbon declared that Limbaugh was “universally despised” in the “black community”.

Most of us learn not to use words like “universal”, “always”, “everyone” in 3rd grade.

    8. craig on October 15th, 2009 2:25 pm

Talk about a right wing echo chamber! That’s what passes as news to you. Or do you even report news? Do you differentiate between news and opinion? Maybe that is the future. The fact that the NFL doesn’t want the crap that Limbaugh spews should not surprise you. The only reason it does is that you only listen to your fellow opinionators. You also greatly exaggerate the size of your audience. Most americans find Limbaugh repulsive.

In this latest media firestorm over Rush, one of MSM’s lead comments is that he’s a “polarizing figure.”

I submit that easily the most polarizing figure in the US today is Mr HopeyChangey himself: Barack Insane O’chavez.

Our “post-racial” precedent, known appropriately by some as the “filthy liar”, has done nothing but deepen the divide between the right and the left, as well as blacks and whites, since he flubbed the oath of office earlier this year.

But who gets the free pass in the MSM? No surprises there, mmmmmmmmmm, mmmmmmmmmm, mmmmmmmmmm!

    10. ElRushboRocks on October 15th, 2009 3:18 pm

Wow, lefty trolls have taken over the commentary at SM!!!!!

I guess it’s part of the job creation impetus of the $787 billion “Porku & us” bill signed earlier this year by the “no-balls peace prize” whiner, Barry Hussein Soros-puppet.

Where can I sign up for some o dat scratch?

    11. Ted on October 15th, 2009 3:32 pm

I’ve grown very bored of the casual use of “censorship” and “freedom of speech” to mean that anyone can say anything about anything without consequences. It seems to me that this episode illustrates the applicability of two values that conservatives trumpet: consequences and the wisdom of the market.

Because of what Limbaugh has said in the past, his connection to this financial transaction made it more likely to fail. He was cut from the deal because his presence adversely affected the potential profitability of the deal for all involved. The market has spoken. Adam Smith’s invisible hand bitch slapped Rusty, and hard. Get over it.

    12. blast on October 15th, 2009 3:54 pm

Come’on, to me it is not about Sharpton, Jackson and their ilk – I never listen to those fools. Everyone knows Rush’s opinions are divisive… even if you agree with him you know he is a verbal fire starter. Since when is the NFL under any obligation to associate themselves with anyone? Sounds like Rush is as big a cry baby as Sharpton, Jackson and the lunes on the left.

For the record, I wish they would kick out all the felons too… who needs to see that trash in the game.

    13. CONservative governMENt on October 15th, 2009 5:28 pm

Too funny, another millionaire victim. Sorry rush, you may be entertaining to millions but that doesn’t mean the other millionaires want to have you too close to their business, or them for that matter.
And of course it’s somehow Obama’s fault. So much for that personal responsibility you expect everyone else to have, just not yourself.

    14. yoyo muffintop on October 15th, 2009 6:26 pm

#9 – Did you know it was Chief Justice John Roberts that flubbed the oath and not the President…or are you being a filthy liar?

The reason the uneducated/admitted drug addict/bigot Rush is so upset is that when he heard he had a chance to be a “minority owner”, he had dreams of owning some minorities…otherwise known as slaves.

    15. Carpe on October 15th, 2009 7:13 pm

I just don’t see how the NFL would want to keep Rush out.

I mean they hire people who electrocute dogs
and knife people for crying out loud!

Rush is not on my list of favorites.

….but Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are two
of the most hypocritical pieces of man garbage
      to walk the planet.

    18. St Stephen on October 15th, 2009 11:54 pm

      Hmmm…

I heard that Jane Skinner is married to that “left wing liar” Roger Goodell, whatever that is supposed to mean.

I guess that he knows how to count money($$$$$) and that Rush alledgedly attracts 30 MILLION VIEWERS! is negated by the other fact that 270 OTHER LISTENERS! either don’t listen to him or just don’t give a sh*t who or what he is or does.

He is not the Republican Party, and the Republican Party DOES NOT NEED HIM to succeed.

Going back to the roots will bring the grand old party back, not some blowhard who makes 700 million dollars to sell products(after all, that IS the bottom line in every case).

Fundamentals that were lost and/or compromised must be reestablished. The lobbyists corrupted both parties(more Democrats than Republicans as a matter of course) and they do not want to break that addiction. We can break it for them by booting them out and replacing those forlorn losers with men and women of sound conservative principles, not the bally-hoo and carpet-bagging that passes for the conservatism in the media today. Not all, of course, but enough to confuse those who want to see REAL change.

But I digress. Making a long story short(er), it couldn’t happen to a nicer guy than the ersatz leader of the right, El Rushaboo!

    19. Jon Williford on October 16th, 2009 5:09 am

Wow… it’s amazing how most have missed the point; the stories were based on LIES. Goodell made his decision on LIES. Regardless whether you think Rush is a racist bigot (if you’d listen to HIM and not oppositions edited tapes, you’d realize his not), you’re a leftist, or an idiot, you can’t make up stuff, tell the truth, ask Dan Rather.

    20. Rusty Bridges on October 16th, 2009 7:08 am

I agree with #11 & 12, if you lie with dogs you wake up with fleas. He as made a living out of being a bully and causing hatred, who wants him in their sandbox?

Whether the stories are true or not he would cause a hostile work environment and I wouldn’t hire him either.

    21. Scared Monkeys on October 16th, 2009 7:51 am

Folks what you are missing in all this is don’t you think Rush’s business partners knew who and what he was? They knew Rush was a radio talk show host and controversial.

If they didn’t then none of them belong bidding on the Rams.

This is not about Rush said, its about the race baiting liberals who will smear anyone to prevent them from becoming mainstream.

To say they got rid of Rush because he was too controversial is moronic.

Can I just say the name … Al Davis. How about Jerry Jones? Nothing was more controversial than Irsay and Modell screwing over the cities of Baltimore and Cleveland.

This was a smear campaign and unlike Obama’s green jobs czar Van Jones and ACORN … there was no proof.

For the myopic liberals that think this is about a millionaire not getting his way … its the principle.

Wonder what will happen when a person of color tries to become an owner and is prevented. I can hear the cries of racism now. How come it wont be because they might be too controversial?

      Hmm?

    22. tuyvnsurvivor on October 16th, 2009 11:14 am

The racisum accusations have been old old old now for many years. There was a time when those type of accusations mist the air, I/we/many of us would use examples of how we are not. Which…brought yet more “racisum” claims. So we got bored with the sucking up to “them’. Use of “them” brought more claims of racisum. When it is them that call themselves ‘We’ so often, the radicals of them encompass the group, who have racial privalge none others have, as all one “We”. And the many good people of their group, some being my friends, sit back and let the ignorant liberal American cancers speek uncontested.

It is “old” and ‘their’ own fault.

    23. katablog.com on October 16th, 2009 11:24 am

#19 is exactly right. This is a story of left-wing zealots making up lies to destroy someone – and getting away with it.

Regardless of likes or dislikes concerning Rush Limbaugh, it should scare everyone that someone can post crap on the Internet about someone and others will pick it up a couple of years later and repeat it as if it were fact, some of them KNOWING that what they are repeating are lies.

Also scary is that some of you, because of your dislike for someone, would cheer this behavior or some how try to justify it.

    24. super dave on October 16th, 2009 3:16 pm

the crats have to lie. they only know how to blame others for the mess they themselves created.
the first year is almost up and the obama administration has nothing to show but destruction of the constitution, criminal activities, behind closed doors, in the dark partison politics. only criminals operate in this manner.

    25. tuyvnsurvivor on October 16th, 2009 5:30 pm

24, yes, I think people slight demenssionally, regaurdless of how skilled narrowly, will always reach a premodonnacrat end.

    26. Paul on October 17th, 2009 12:54 pm

It seems to me that all the negative vibes this blowhard (Rush Hudson Limbaugh A.KA. Jeff Christie) has been spewing over these many years has come back to blow back on his face (A classic “Blow Back”). He always tries to give off the airs that he can have anything he wants but as we all witness those with more money and more influence tossed him aside like sack of potatoes and the ultimate insult was that it was done in public (money don’t buy you everything butterball).

Now of course he blames everyone else (Michael J. Fox, Perez Hilton, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Sonia Sotomayor, Hillary Clinton, Olympia Snowe, ESPN, NFL, the media, basically people of color, the handicapped, women and gays) when of course all you have to do is listen to his show and plainly hear his daily prejudices filled sermons. So NFL, I salute you decision, job well done. And to the whaling cry baby perched on his self made pedestal, quit your whining it was your own fault. Don’t we all feel better?
      ________
SM: What are you talking about?

I can’t wait until you are unfairly go after and smear and brand some one a racist with comments that you never made. I guess the laugh will be on you then.

The NFL are nothing more than a bunch of PC idiots. How many controversial people do they already have within their midst? They have felons who play and some of their owners are beyond controversial.

But if you have a liberal agenda … that’s ok.

    27. St Stephen on October 18th, 2009 12:02 am

      #6 – SM

Actually, SM, the NFL is a money-making machine, a business that makes MONEY from the sport of football.

Seriously, they may have calculated how much they could make with Rush Limaugh in the mix and deemed that it would not be as profitable as it would with him out of it.

They can have felons play because they(felons) make them MONEY. They determined that Mr Limbaugh would in essence lose them MONEY.

Bottom line, it was all about MONEY, not politics or altruism or PC cr*p that booted Mr. Limbaugh out.

Let’s suffice it to say that he was determined to be a liability, not an asset for the NFL.

Bottom line prevails in this equation.
