Here is something you don’t see or hear every day … Member in Congress calls Barack Obama a liar when “The One” says that his healthcare system will not cover illegal immigrants.
The reforms I am proposing would not apply to those who are here illegally. You lie!

The culprit was South Carolina rep Joe Wilson, who felt moved to act when The One told what was, in fact, a lie. Although certainly not his biggest of the night: Where this jackass gets off lecturing Americans on civility after his cretinous cronies spent a month demagoging the hell out of every protester in sight is beyond me. You’re Mr. Clean, aren’t you, champ? And bottom-feeders like Harry Reid are your hatchet men. Nice work if you can get it.

One would think though that individuals could have yelled liar at several parts of the Presidents speech tonight. Folks, since when does this administration get anything right when it comes to cost? They could not figure out the cash for clunkers program correctly, do you really think that insuring 47 million, now tonight down to 30 million will cost $900 billion? Go fish.
Next Obama says that you will not lose your health insurance with his Obamacare plan. Wrong. Presently HR3200, (149–150), states that an employer can pay an 8% penalty and transfer their employee to the government run public option. If an employer presently pays more than 8% for your insurance coverage, do you honestly think that you will not be switched for bottom line business purposes?
UPDATE I: Before Democrats get all high and mighty and insulted by Obama being called a liar, Democrats pulled this stunt with GWB as well.

You see, coverage for illegal aliens doesn’t need to be in the HC bill. The illegals are already covered under EMTALA of 1989, also known as the “Patient Dumping Act.” Just look it up. Hospitals who receive any type of government money including medicare payments, MUST treat anyone under this law. If they don’t they’re fined, etc, etc, etc……There’s even groups around who advertise on the internet that can help any illegal obtain FREE services.
It’s called omission……………of the FACTS.
Question, if they cut $622B from medicare, although it’s said it will run out of money within 8 years without the cut, how are they not going to cut medicare services?
Oh, and there’s not going to be ‘death panels.’ There will be a group of individuals that can determine that it would be more cost effective if the ‘treatment was NOT available.’ It’s the same pig with lipstick

Frank Luntz brought up an interesting nuance. Until tonight, the Democrats and Obama always said that there were 47 million uninsured. Tonight it was 30 million.
Did he deduct out the illegals? Keep in mind, HR3200 does allow illegals to get healthcare.
How exactly does President Obama propose to identify illegal aliens/immigrants? Due to the nature of the crime, illegals don’t exactly walk around with a flashing red sign declaring their status. Rather, many walk around with well-forged documents. Perhaps, Mr. Obama would like to register all of us legal, law-abiding Americans and give us an identifying mark (you know, to show we’re legal)? A mark that enables us to, say, be eligible for government healthcare benefits? Saaay, the government could also use that documentation and mark to counter Identity Theft…what foresight! Oh, and should the economy crash, the government could use those identifiers when it institutes Emergency Martial Law to maintain public order. Disaster relief could require checking that documentation and identifying mark prior to receiving emergency rations for one and one’s family members. “Not in America!”, you say? How else, in the highly technologically advanced world of document forgery, can one definitively distinguish a significant number of illegal aliens/immigrants from legal American citizens? The process, itself, of determining legality demands identification, documentation, and information accessibility. Information accessibility’s Achilles heel is that it depends upon databases (ergo: encryption and subject to potential hacking), thereby rendering that method subject to inevitable failure. Thus sets the stage for introducing a government-enforced mark to identify and “protect” it’s legal citizens. The stage is being set, as we speak with a governmental health care system that can (according to President Obama) differentiate between legal and illegal citizens. So, Mr. President, specifically how will the system identify illegal aliens/immigrants?
I don’t know the laws of illegals within health care. What I do know though is what I have been told by Nurses ” Veteran Nurses” * one hospital. in an area of my state that the residential area is overcome by illegals. They demand first treatment in the ER. They Demand treatment and they mean it. 90% have fraudulent identification. But since the area is highly populated within these Illegals – its the Hospital bending over vs lawsuit. The illegals have taken over the public schools within the area so I guess the hospital is the same boat. All goes to show the Masses have a Voice … And WE as US Citizens need to start Banding Together and Fighting for Ourselves Now. Remember WE the People.

THE FACTS: The facts back up Obama. The House version of the health care bill explicitly prohibits spending any federal money to help illegal immigrants get health care coverage. Illegal immigrants could buy private health insurance, as many do now, but wouldn’t get tax subsidies to help them. Still, Republicans say there are not sufficient citizenship verification requirements to ensure illegal immigrants are excluded from benefits they are not due.

Although, it may not fit proper etiquette, Mr. Wilson is right. In addition, it is just as wrong for President Obama to lie to the public and quite frankly he has been caught repeatedly while campaigning and as president.
The facts may back-up Obama in that illegals are not included in the HC bill, HOWEVER, they’re included in FEDERAL LAW. But the problem is, the FEDS don’t pay the bill.

It guarantees ANYONE withing the U.S. to receive FREE care. The problem for the individual care givers is it is NOT REIMBURSED by the FEDS. It leaves the bill laying on the individual hospital/ER’s. So they are sparsing words to make it APPEAR as if illegals are NOT getting FREE HC, but they ARE.
At the end of the day, we’re all paying for this through our health care coverage. Put it into the equation any way you want, it’s still a pig sith lip stick.

My wife is uninsured and her hours cut back at work as well as mine. I like what Obama has said, if he can back it that is good for me and my family so I’m with him on this.

FACT: I witnessed this incident in Mass Hospital this year. An ILLEGAL ALIEN, sat in an Emergency Room in a Beverly, MA hospital waiting to get his infected tooth which was causing him severe head pain attended to by a Physician. Of course, it got to this state since Dental Care is not something illegals pay any attention to. Even through the complete triage, to which I was present–when all information was taken down and entered into a computer—(including lack of a SSN, patient just shook head and played dumb!) not ONCE was the man asked for any ID to prove he was who he said he was. Of course, upon hearing he did not have any health insurance (not even Mass Health) not an eyelashed was batted. Business as usual.
So—who paid for this emergency visit?? You and I, that’s who. Now, tell me again under the new plan—how is any of this going to change? Oh, that’s right—this illegal alien is going to “contribute” to a plan from which he can pick afforable health care, right? BS!!!!!!!
It was worth the look alone on Pelosi’s face in this a.m’s newsclips when Wilson shouted that out. Also noted in the news how it was the first time in a Congressional Address that a President themself ever used the term “Lies”.
