Barack Obama Thumbs his Nose at Separation of Powers and Insults the SCOTUS … Low Rent and No Class

DEMOCRAT HYPOCRITES!!!

The Audacity of Dope, A disrespectful and defiant President insults the SCOTUS …

Wonder why America is disenchanted with Barack Obama and his so called Hope & Change.  Talk about bad form … and this President and his fellow Democrat minions go upset when  Rep. Joe Wilson R-(SC) said, “You Lie”.  Barack Obama lectured the Congress and America during his State of the Union Speech on civility and then pulled this stunt?

It almost defies logic, reason and respect; however, Barack Hussein Obama did the unthinkable during his first State of the Union Speech and tried to intimidate the Supreme Court of the United States.

So much for separation of powers, but Obama thinks he is above everything.

Watch CBS News Videos Online

Justice Alito can be seen saying “Not True”

NRO shows that Justice Alito was correct in his “not true” comment and Obama engaged in demogoguery of the worst kind,

With the SCOTUS in plain sight of Barack Obama, the One made the following classless and disgraceful comment by insulting the SCOTUS and having his fellow Democrat lapdogs stand clapping and cheering furthering the insult and  thumbing their noses at the separation of powers.

Last week, the Supreme Court reversed a century of law to open the floodgates for special interests – including foreign corporations – to spend without limit in our elections. Well I don’t think American elections should be bankrolled by America’s most powerful interests, or worse, by foreign entities. They should be decided by the American people, and that’s why I’m urging Democrats and Republicans to pass a bill that helps to right this wrong.

Barack Obama obviously never learned the cardinal rule of Luke 6:31, Do to others as you would have them do to you. What leadership from this President. He expects others to act in a civil manner while he acts in such a disrespectful manner as ever seen by a President to another branch of government.

These Democrat hypocrites railed on Rep. Joe Wilson R-(SC) for his “you lie” moment and the breech of decorum, yet when their Obamamessiah does even worse they applaud it.

The shot of the black-robed Supreme Court justices, stone-faced, was priceless.

Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) stood up behind the justices and clapped vigorously while Alito shook his head and quietly mouthed his discontent.

Schumer and Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md) are trying to find a way to legislate around the Supreme Court decision.

“All you have to do is read the dissent, the four justices who said this will defintely open the floodgates to big corporate special interests. Anybody who thinks that’s not true is out of touch with the American political process.” Van Hollen said.

Van Hollen told POLITICO he expects to unveil the package in the next 10 days to two weeks.

Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.) was glad the president called out the Supreme Court.

So the President is invited to come to the House of Representatives and speeck as a guest and it is ok for him to provide a breach of decorum and lower the office of the Presidency more than he already has. Some folks don’t think it was ok.  More from Michelle Malkin.

“The President’s swipe at the Supreme Court was a breach of decorum, and represents the worst of Washington politics …

Right, just because conservatives have been dissing the Supreme Court for most of the last 60 years, doesn’t give Obama the right to be critical, now that there is a conservative majority on the bench.

The most disturbing thing I saw was our Attorney General standing up and clapping five feet away from the Justices. He’s the guy that ignores the law when it involves the rights of American citizens, ignores Black Panther thugs intimidating voters on voting day, yet wants to grant those same rights to terrorist bastards trying to kill us.

Our President has NO respect for separation of government. He doesn’t want any branch other than the Executive to have power hence: all the czars and back dooring of restrictions on his office. Classy guy. The pompous ass still doesn’t get it yet. He still thinks it’s all about him. I guess a couple of letters to him mean more than 1.2 million people marching on Washington or the Miracle in Massachusetts. Hopefully he’ll “get it” on election day 2012.

I have found one of the easier things to teach a young voter — strayed from the idea’s of freedom, is that of the importance of checks and balance of powers. Our very survivabilty. Fortunate we have been the few times we errored away, to get back on track.

No balance of power, and we indeed have no abilty to sass, plenty of citizens decapitated, and Onebama rule. Unless it is the Kennedy family would still be recieving bama-bows.

    12. Dissenting Independent on January 28th, 2010 12:33 pm

The Supreme Court interprets the law and determines if they are just. It determined that the ad financing law was not, so it struck it.

The President, who beleived in the *principle* of the law, is perfectly entitled to ask Congress to creat a new law to fix the gap. Perhaps the SOTU was not the best place to have done it (made worse by the explosive applause by those sitting in the chamber behind the justices) but that’s precisely how the system is supposed to work.

On a related note: For a court whose conservative majority have so long claimed deference to precedent, overturning 3 SCOTUS decisions in 30 years on this issue, when the only thing that has changed is the composition of the court, should be a wake-up call for anyone who wonders what direction the court is headed.

      Dear SM,
      re:NAME IT OR STUFF IT!
“But Obama’s criticism of the Supreme Court was not unusual. Previous presidents have made similar comments about the judicial branch. Ronald Reagan effectively criticized the Supreme Court while he argued in favor of prayer in schools in his 1988 State of the Union:”

      (Quoting RR)
“And let me add here: So many of our greatest statesmen have reminded us that spiritual values alone are essential to our nation’s health and vigor. The Congress opens its proceedings each day, as does the Supreme Court, with an acknowledgment of the Supreme Being. Yet we are denied the right to set aside in our schools a moment each day for those who wish to pray. I believe Congress should pass our school prayer amendment.”
And in 2004, Bush decried “activist judges” who were “redefining marriage by court order”:

“Activist judges, however, have begun redefining marriage by court order, without regard for the will of the people and their elected representatives. On an issue of such great consequence, the people’s voice must be heard. If judges insist on forcing their arbitrary will upon the people, the only alternative left to the people would be the constitutional process. Our Nation must defend the sanctity of marriage.

The outcome of this debate is important, and so is the way we conduct it. The same moral tradition that defines marriage also teaches that each individual has dignity and value in God’s sight.”

In 1973, the Supreme Court decided that fetuses were not considered “persons” for purposes of the Constitution in Roe v. Wade. Discussing abortion, Reagan said in his 1984 State of the Union address:

“And while I’m on this subject, each day your Members observe a 200-year-old tradition meant to signify America is one nation under God. I must ask: If you can begin your day with a member of the clergy standing right here leading you in prayer, then why can’t freedom to acknowledge God be enjoyed again by children in every schoolroom across this land?”

      [...]

“During our first 3 years, we have joined bipartisan efforts to restore protection of the law to unborn children. Now, I know this issue is very controversial. But unless and until it can be proven that an unborn child is not a living human being, can we justify assuming without proof that it isn’t? No one has yet offered such proof; indeed, all the evidence is to the contrary. We should rise above bitterness and reproach, and if Americans could come together in a spirit of understanding and helping, then we could find positive solutions to the tragedy of abortion.”

re:America is sick of your hate and disrespect and stupidity.
Thank you for acting as the spokesman for America. Your loving and respectful tone will serve as a shining example for all.

BIGGEST. TAX CUT. EVER. (REDUX)…. We talked a week ago about the tax-cut provisions of the economic stimulus package, and how it turns out that President Obama proposed and passed one of the largest tax cuts in American history — $282 billion over two years — without Republican support.

I’m glad to see some others are picking up on this. Yesterday, Marc Ambinder noted:

Don’t know if anybody has yet noticed in the Republican Party but President Obama was presented last week a major talking point for 2012.

He’ll sign today one of the largest tax cuts in history.

    19. NewGirlBoston on January 28th, 2010 8:38 pm

      #18 Dear Robert:
——-Obama’s tax cuts, meanwhile, are SHORT-TERM refunds paid directly to working and middle class families (some of which Republicans have denounced as “welfare”). ***** And how much of that grossly over-exaggerated figure is actally alloted for more public service programs for low-income families ????

Name the specific tax cuts, would you please Robert !! What—you mean like the 10,000 tax shelter per-year if you have a child enrolled in College? THAT IS NOT A TAX CUT, and THAT DOES NOT INCLUDE ALL MIDDLE CLASS FAMILIES. Also—this figure does not mean that these are immediate cuts which apply to all Americans or cuts that many, in fact, will not be eligble for. Also-when are they effective? Not for the LAST YEAR HE WAS IN OFFICE- and are any even included for 2010?

When you can show “us” the money, and the details–then we could call it legitimate. Up until now—Americans have seen nothing and some of the “cuts” he has proposed will not be effective until 2011 AND BEYOND. Americans need help NOW, AMERICANS NEED JOBS NOW!

Save your breath……While I agree…most people on here are HBR brain washed. Hanniy,Beck, and Rush…their favorite role models. They still think Obama’s running up the deficit….although Republicans are actually the ones who’ve ran it up the most while in office. They cry about health care..yet they only offer ideas that were in the bill…I guess they didn’t read those lines. And no..I didn’t agree with the bill…but at least they put something out there instead of sitting up their butts for 8 years like Barney did. I guess these guys want more money influence over congressman…so they can buy the rest of the votes the Republcan votes they need.

    22. Robert M on January 29th, 2010 12:07 am

Obama’s tax-cut plan in the recovery package is not only arguably bigger than any previous plan, but it’s also better targeted. George W. Bush’s tax cuts were long-term income-tax rate cuts, which amounted to a generous break for those at the top, since the wealthy pay most income taxes. A.L. reminds us today, “The Bush tax cuts were skewed dramatically toward the wealthy. In 2004, 60% of the tax cuts went to the top 20 percent of income earners with over 25% going to the top 1% of income earners. Those numbers have increased since then as the cuts to the estate tax have taken effect.”

Obama’s tax cuts, meanwhile, are short-term refunds paid directly to working and middle class families (some of which Republicans have denounced as “welfare”).

    23. Robert M on January 29th, 2010 12:10 am

      re Wolf
I fault Republicans , who did nothing to stop Bush from growing the deficit, at a time when we were not in an emergency situation, for now attacking Obama for putting us further into debt. Once they lost their virginity on deficit spending, they can’t reclaim it. I fault Democrats for turning the stimulus package into a grab bag for every dollar they could get for there constituency, whether or not it was in line with the intended purpose of providing jobs.

I don’t want to pick on Republicans only, but the tone of this blog is that they are saints & the Dems are sinners. I would just like those who think that way to remember -

“Former Treasury Secretary Paul O’Neill was told “deficits don’t matter” when he warned of a looming fiscal crisis.
O’Neill, fired in a shakeup of Bush’s economic team in December 2002, raised objections to a new round of tax cuts and said the president balked at his more aggressive plan to combat corporate crime after a string of accounting scandals because of opposition from “the corporate crowd,” a key constituency.
O’Neill said he tried to warn Vice President Dick Cheney that growing budget deficits-expected to top $500 billion this fiscal year alone-posed a threat to the economy. Cheney cut him off. “You know, Paul, Reagan proved deficits don’t matter,” he said, according to excerpts. Cheney continued: “We won the midterms (congressional elections). This is our due.” A month later, Cheney told the Treasury secretary he was fired.”
      http://www.ontheissues.org/2004/Dick_Cheney_Budget_+_Economy.htm

Thus, it seems hypocritical to now act as the deficit is the only thing that matters.

    24. Scott on January 29th, 2010 7:15 am

Name the tax cuts in the recovery plan doofus? Specifically point to them?

LOGIC and MATH you heartless liberals…

He is getting ready to raise taxes on the middle class…THAT IS A FACT.

His freeze on discretionary spending is BS. He had the largest budget increase in US history, 24% from FY 09 to FY 10. The freeze will be at the FY 10 level. If he wanted to free up more funds he could revert to the FY 09 levels and cut earmarks…won’t do it.

You have no clue. Let’s hear YOUR opinion besides reguritating news articles from liberal newspapers and blogs. Please….

Americans know he has no tax cuts. Americans know that the cost of the so called recovery act which hasn’t worked has gone up $75B. Pelosi wants to add another $300 billion to the already $1.3 trillion healthSCARE bill!

Nice answers! Thank you for shutting up the bunch of ignorant evil people we call SCARED MONKEYS.
You have proven the SM’s clan wrong every time and I applaud you for this, I have read some other articles from SM and they seem to act a lot like communists, censoring all who disagree with them and not leaving any place for some good debates and discussion. IMO is that SM is being paid by special interests to blog about certain things and indoctrinate weak-minded people to have the same believes as SM (and their special interests).

    31. Jen on February 28th, 2010 9:06 am

Now some serious notes about the suppreme court. As some of you may not know yet Justice Alito has been named Suppreme Court Judge by a REPUBLICAN President, which explains why he has the same opinions as the REPUBLICANS. If you look deeper into the Suppreme Court Judges and their past you will notice that there are 5 republican-named judges and 4 democratic-named judges. Guess how many votes it took to reverse this century old law? The law has been reversed by a 5 to 4 majority. Do you see the connection now? The problem is that the Suppreme Court is a political entity (to our disgust) but that’s the way it is. The only way the suppreme court could be truly non-partisan is if the suppreme court would be anonymously nominated by state court judges or something in that form. As long as we have Presidents nominating Suppreme Judges the Suppreme Court will always favour a certain political party.
      _______
SM: Jen, did you have the same issue when the SCOTUS passed Roe v. Wade?

Once again Libs are uninformed and listen to only their CNN or MSM sound bites. Your Obamamessiah misquoted and misstated what the SCOTUSactually did. But then again, what could we expect from a liberal. ACORN lawyer.

      R

    32. Jen on February 28th, 2010 9:45 am

Yes, I’ll have the same issue whenever the Suppreme Court makes a decision on a any law, because these are ruled by politics, and it should not be this way. The Suppreme Court should stay far away from anything concerning politics. The real problem is that those Judges are being elected by presidents and that is something that should be changed, but won’t since not enough people are even aware how Suppreme Court judges are REALLY being nominated.
      ____________
SM: Every body with a 6th grade education knows how SCOTUS justices are nominated.

Some how I doubt that u are going to lose sleep when Obama appoints a communist as his justice when one steps down in the next 3 years. Maybe he can appoint one of the lawyers from the AG’s office who defended and advocated for terrorists who tried to harm the USA. Wouldn’t that be special.

They do have to be confirmed by the Senate. This nation can only hope that no justices are appointed before the 2010 midterms.
