Could there have been a more useless “teachable” moment? All that was required was that President Barack Obama apologize to the nation for jumping to a racial conclusion before knowing the facts.

What do you think was said at the “Beer” summit between Barack Obama, professor Gates and Sgt. Crowley? Wait a minute, VP Joe Biden crashed the party? I did not see his name on the guest list. Biden with a beer, now that could be trouble. Oh wait, he was drinking non-alcoholic beer, think Obama did not insist on that? As Hot Air said, how long it took Greasy Joe to tell his first “two blacks and an Irishman walk into a bar” joke. Over/under is 11 seconds.

Why has this teachable moment on racism been made a caption contest? Because Barack Obama has made in a joke and a pathetic photo-op. Wow, four guys in suits sitting at a table having a good time, sharing stories. Because this looks so natural and non-contrived.

In a statement shortly after the Beer Summit Obama said: “I have always believed that what brings us together is stronger than what pulls us apart.” Yeah. That’s why he accused the Police of acting “stupidly” even know he didn’t have the facts. I hope he learned something”.

Think about the trivial nature of what Obama has done. A race issue, that he personally made a national wild fire out of is supposed to be solves by four guys drinking beers.

EXIT QUESTION OR THOUGHT: Imagine if after leaving the Obama Beerfest that Harvard professor Gates got pulled over by w white DC cop for DUI. What would Obama say then? Would that be racial profiling as well?

I can hear VP Joe Biden already saying on the Sunday Talk Shows with regards to the “Cash for Clunkers” program … “We misread how bad the American people wanted to trade in their clunkers for cash. Of course, remember that this is George W. Bush’s fault because these cars were bought during his and his dad’s administration. We inherited these clunkers.”

Can this Democratic White House, Senate and House do anything right? They have managed to screw up a $1 billion program and some how anyone thinks they should be provided any public plan for health care? Automakers have ordered millions of dollars in television ads. Dealers had the hot dogs, balloons and full-page Sunday ads in the newspapers ready to pounce on sales opportunities. And it is all in vain: the “Cash for Clunkers” program is on hold.

The Jawa Report simple puts it, Well, Duh. Also provides a great sign that says it all for the Democratically controlled White House, Senate and House. How many thinks must occur for all Americans to wake up and smell the coffee that these people are abject failures?

Obama’s Approval Ratings Have Fallen and They Can’t Get Up, BO’s Hits All Time Low (-12) in Rasmussen Daily Presidential Tracking Poll & PEW

Barack Obama’s approval ratings have fallen and they can’t get up.

Barack Obama has confused the Presidency with the limbo as he tries to prove just how low he can go. In the most recent Rasmussen Daily Presidential Tracking poll for 7/30/09 that measures strongly approve minus strongly disapprove, Obama is at -12. Only 28% of voters now strongly agree with The One, while 40% strongly disagree.

Forty-nine percent (49%) now say that America’s best days have come and gone. Just 38% believe they are still to come. Thirty-four percent (34%) say the country is heading in the right direction.

What is even more telling is that the total approval/total disapproval is now at 48% to 51%. This represents the lowest total approval rating for Obama since he became President.

It’s not just at the Rasmussen Report that Barack Obama sees his poll numbers in free fall. Across the board The One’s approval ratings have fallen. Whether it’s his overall approval ratings, health care, the economy or the budget deficit, Obama’s poll numbers are down. The Pew Research Center attributes much of Obama’s downward spiral to Obamacare.

Barack Obama’s approval ratings have suffered major declines. The president’s overall job approval number fell from 61% in mid-June to 54% currently. His approval ratings for handling the economy and the federal budget deficit have also fallen sharply, tumbling to 38% and 32%, respectively.

By a 44% to 38% margin, more Americans generally oppose than favor the health care proposals now before Congress. Opposition rises to 56% among people who say they have heard a lot about legislation to overhaul the health care system.

As Wake Up America states, the honeymoon is officially over. We will second that motion. As Macsmind predicted and many of us knew during the Presidential campaign, Barack Obama was in over his head, completely inexperienced, all talk and no action. It would seem that America is finally waking up to the same facts. Sadly, they waiting until after the election to figure this obvious point out.

Brazilian Police Say Arturo Gatti’s Death was a Suicide … Wife Amanda Rodrigues Released from Jail

Bizarre case of the death of former boxing champ Arturo Gatti … from homicide to suicide.

Brazilian police are now saying that the death of former boxing champion Arturo Gatti was a suicide. Gatti’s wife, Amanda Rodrigues, has been released from jail. She had been arrested by Brazilian police on suspicion if murder. Arturo Gatti was found dead in his rented condo while on vacation at the seaside resort of Porto de Galinhas in northeast Brazil.

Brazilian police now say former world boxing champion and former Montreal resident Arturo Gatti committed suicide, and his wife has been released from jail in line with their finding.

Lead investigator Paulo Alberes told The Associated Press on Thursday that an investigation into Gatti’s death has concluded that he killed himself.

Initially Gatti’s wife, Amanda Rodrigues, had been arrested on suspicion of the murder of Arturo Gatti. However, his death has now been ruled a suicide.

The public safety ministry of the northeastern Pernambuco state said investigators determined that Gatti hung himself in a stairwell, the newspaper O Globo reported.

Police official Paulo Alberes said Gatti used the purse strap to end his life, O Diario de Pernambuco reported.

In an astounding reversal, Arturo Gatti’s death was ruled a suicide by Brazilian police.

The announcements were the latest twists in a case that has been plagued by uncertainty and an inconclusive autopsy after the 37-year-old Gatti, one of the most popular boxers ever to fight out of New Jersey, was found dead July 11 while at a seaside resort in northeastern Brazil.

UPDATE I: Former boxer champion Arturo Gatti’s body exhumed

The body of former world boxing champion Arturo Gatti has been exhumed at his family’s request.

A new autopsy will now be carried out on Mr Gatti’s body at the Quebec coroner’s office.

Deputy Chief Coroner Gilles Ethier said Mr Arturo’s family had enlisted an American pathologist to assist with the new autopsy, which is scheduled for Saturday.

The department’s career lawyers in the Voting Section of the Civil Rights Division who pursued the complaint for five months had recommended that Justice seek sanctions against the party and three of its members after the government had already won a default judgment in federal court against the men.
