Michael Jackson Dead at the Age of 50 … The World Awaits the Autopsy Report … Pain Killers & Enablers

What killed the King of Pop? Should we say WHO?

The self proclaimed King of Pop, Michael Jackson is dead at the age of 50 of an apparent Jackson_Mcardiac arrest. The sad news made head lines all over the world as at one time Michael Jackson was probably one of the most recognized entertainers in the world.

When the news broke yesterday I was saddened, but not surprised. Honestly, who could not see this coming with the many cries for help along the years that Michael Jackson put forth? Does anyone think that such behavior is normal, even from Michael? Sadly, with all the abuse to his body and the drugs, no one was able to step in and intervene to help this poor lost soul. Those around him did not help, they appeared to have made matters worse. In the end, another generation has a talented entertainer that defined the late 70’s and 80’s die too young.

Instead, there were those that enabled him. Jackson family attorney Brian Oxman blamed the enablers and prescription drugs for Jackson’s sudden death.

“I have warned of the use of prescription medication and people who have enabled the use of those medications,” Brian Oxman, the family attorney, told CBS News anchor Harry Smith (see video below). “I do not know how much he has taken, I don’t know what his current situation is in the last couple of weeks. Over the last several years I have said to family members that he is overmedicated.

We saw this same scenario play out with Anna Nicole Smith when she died too young. Those around her knew she was an accident waiting to happen and they furnished her with drugs any how. One wonders whether the Jackson case will take the same route?

His troubles and allegations of child abuse aside, Michael Jackson was one of the most talented singers and dancers ever. Although his mega-albums “Off the Wall” and “Thriller” were probably part of his undoing. How does one ever do better than those two multi-million selling records?

As celebrities, people in the music industry and people who knew Michael Jackson remembered him … the world awaits the autopsy reports to find out what caused Jackson’s death? We know that Michael suffered from an addiction to pain killers and his frail body was the sad poster child for anorexia. Then there was the stress of his comeback tour. Some are reporting that he collapsed after an injection of demerol.

Sadly there were no signs that Jackson was able to conquer his dependencies, believed to be to over the counter prescription opiates such as Dialudid. And one consequence of an incautious overdose of these drugs is cardiac arrest. We will know more once there has been an autopsy, but the family had been gravely concerned about Michael’s dependency on these drugs which had been a serious issue since at least 2005 when he went on trial for child abuse.

A preliminary autopsy is scheduled to determine what was the cause of Jackson’s sudden death yesterday.

Authorities hope find out what caused the sudden death of “King of Pop” Michael Jackson. The Los Angeles County coroner’s office is set to conduct an autopsy Friday morning. The final cause of death, however, will not be conclusive until they receive the results of toxicology and tissue studies.

Michael Jackson Autopsy News

The Los Angeles Department of Coroner tells ET that an autopsy on Michael Jackson will be conducted Friday, and should be completed by noon.

UPDATE I: TMZ is reporting that Michael Jackson’s doctor is MIA. Police towed the doctor’s conrad murray_dr_mjBMW from the Jackson home last night and that cops want to interview him.

Also reported by TMZ, a law enforcement source claims that the doctor gave Michael and injection last night before he died.

UPDATE II: Coroner’s report:

Cause of death has been deferred until the toxicology reports are back. There was no evidence of external trauma or foul play. Very little information will be released until the toxicology results are in and they expect then to have the cause of death and will close the case.

On a side note, TMZ has been inaccessable for the last couple hours, a testiment to Michael Jackson’s popularity.

The machine destroys another, what a shame.

RIP MJ, God forgives us our trespasses as we have trespassed against you. You will live on for your greatness in my heart.

The last couple of years I hoped MJ would have his ‘come back’ and maybe even present a new musical road, a more grown up musical style… Because he truly was one of the musical highlights of the last century.
It’s sad that it hasn’t come to that.
      It’s a sad day.
And concerning the alledged child abuse… Let’s just hope the jury was right and nothing happened…

      Rest In Peace.

RIP dude. The circus has moved on to another town.

Oh, don’t get me wrong… I’m not HATIN’… he was a great entertainer! Even the great ones go
down in flames like a Boeing 747 with its wing
shot off when they are spinning out of control
and nobody steps in to do WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE.

Many times what they WANT, is totally what they DO NOT NEED. Enablers suck and that is the truth.

Doctors sometimes cause more harm when treating a patient. That is why they call them “Practicing Physicians”.

Did Dr. Conrad Murray become too close to his patient Michael Jackson, and made a bad judgment call?

Especially when pain is involved. Mistakes are made.

I met Michael Jackson as a teen he was watching my friend and I laughing, and having fun.
He fed off other peoples happiness. He probably had no childhood?
      RIP

It’s strange, but today I am still sad about this. Maybe because as young kids/teenagers-we grew up listening to his Music when he was so huge in the 80′s….?? Not sure but I still find myself thinking of Michael Jackson today, going…Wow…I can’t believe he’s dead.

Anna Nicole Smith’s story of drug abuse apparently was nothing when compared with Micheal’s….I think it got worse for him as the years went on and his legal troubles increased. What a shame….As Rusty # 1 says—-look what the MACHINE did to him…he was created..then exploited constantly since a child…His Family made millions off of his talent and hard work….it all took a toll on Micheal’s life.

To the Entertainer many have only seen and heard who made such an impression on everyone ..Worldwide

The Sun reports MJ “was injected three-times a day with narcotic DEMEROL.” 3mg tablets of DILAUDID VICODIN
SOMA, a muscle relaxant in 2mg doses twice a day.
XANAX, a sedative given to Michael in 0.5mg doses twice a day. ZOLOFT, an anti-depressant, which Jacko took in 100mg doses. PAXIL, another anti-depressant which is also used to treat anxiety and obsessive behaviour. Michael took it in 20mg pills. PRILOSEC, an over-the-counter pill for heartburn.

The doctor was hired by the company that was in charge of the comeback tour. Probably a condition of the contract that he had to have a doctor with him. Why didn’t that doctor go in the ambulance with him ? I suppose there will have to be an inquest and it will all come out.
Most persons I have spoken to feel alot of sympathy for Michael. He didn’t have the right people looking out for him in his business affairs or for him on a personal level. He was loved by the public for his talent and by those around him for his money.

#9, Max..thanks for info..explains a lot; this is enough to overdose a very large man and he was very thin. I wonder how he could even consider a concert??

I cannot comprehend the overflowing acknowledgement of any self-motivating contribution that Michael Jackson has made to society when you stop and consider the child victims of pediphilia.

A young man who began attending our church in his teens … is forced to live the rest of his life with the devastating emotional effects of sexual abuse that occurred at the hand of a trusted family friend. The nightmare is ongoing and negatively affects every aspect of his life in regards to trusting relationships.

At the time of the Michael Jackson trial … when it was revealed that 24 million had already been paid out in out-of-court settlements to past child accusers … when it was revealed on American television from Michael Jackson’s own lips while holding the hand of his accuser that he felt it was beautiful to share his bed with children that were not his own … this young member of our congregation … angerly threw out every Michael Jackson album he had accumulated and … so did his circle of friend who empathized. They all made a pledge … in the name of child sexually abuse … they would never again listen to Michael Jackson’s music.

Is there one poster on this forum who would have thought it a “beautiful thing” for his/her young nephew, son, grandson to have slept in the same bed as Michael Jackson?

Is there one poster on this forum who would be lifting Michael onto a pedestal if his/her nephew, son or grandson made an accusation of sexual abuse and … was right on as far as identifying specific in regards to his genitals?

      Just asking.

      Jackson jury sees
      nude boy images
      Books were seized in
      1993 raid on Neverland

Jurors were shown the covers of the two books during questioning of Los Angeles police Detective Rosibel Smith, who found the books in a locked filing cabinet in Jackson’s master bedroom.

One book, called “Boys Will Be Boys,” featured an image of fair-haired boys in swimsuits jumping into water.

The book contained an inscription written by Jackson: “Look at the true spirit of happiness and joy in these boys’ faces, this is the spirit of boyhood, a life I’ve never had and will always dream of. This is the life I want for my children.”

The jury also was shown the cover of a book called “The Boy: A Photographic Essay.” It also contained an inscription that said: “To Michael from your (heart symbol) fan, XXXOOO, ’Rhonda.”’ The note was dated 1983.

Smith said both books featured boys “playing, swimming, jumping.”

Prosecutor Ron Zonen said earlier that one book was about 90 percent pictures of nude boys and the other about 10 percent

In my lifetime there are few so talented and gifted as Michael Jackson in the music world. There are many good singers..but not of his stature. He is/was awesome. USA for Africa.. was great.

I know Michael paid in the millions to a boy who had allegations against him, but the last trial he was found not guilty. He said he was going to fight that one, since so much was made of settling the first one to get rid of it. Is Michael Jackson a child molester..? I have no clue for sure. Why did parents allow their kids to go there and stay over and over if they thought their kids were being molested? Thousands of kids went to Neverland and had the time of their life, many who were dying.

I definitely think he had many issues from his childhood he brought into adulthood and was a very tortured soul inside. All those plastic surgeries. He was the main breadwinner of the family when he was just a child on stage day after day. Without him, the Jackson5 would’ve went nowhere. Really no childhood..he was working it all the time. Many of his family lived off of him for years. I am the first to admit he engaged in some bizarre behaviour, but also admit the press likes to build people up to God status and then slowly shoot them down, with anything they can find. It’s between him and his maker now.

Having a few friends who have been through the prescription pill addiction problem.. It’s like any other addiction be it that or smoking, drinking etc.

That being said, the world has lost an absolute genius in the music world.

I still can’t get over him kissin a monkey as if it was a human being.

Debbie Rowe needs to be investigated; I bet she had something to do with his death and swindled him out of his money.

Remember she was injecting him too both in the office and at home.

She knows more than she is telling.

      She needs to investigated.

The money he is paying her (for someone to be broke) is leaving him unable to eat and take care of his business and family matters.
