Michael Jackson – dies from cardiac arrest at age 50 – RIP

As first reported at TMZ.com, Michael Jackson, the self proclaimed King of Pop, has dies at the age of 50 from cardiac arrest. One of the most talented and troubled entertainers ever has passed. Michael Jackson was a flawed individual; however, a brilliant talent. He revolutionized dance of his generation and brought music video to a level never seen. Like many others, we pray he is in a better place.  Although tragically flawed with the allegations and suspicions of inappropriate relationships with children, one thing is for certain … for his generation when it came to singing, dance and showmanship … Michael Jackson was a THRILLER!!!

Michael suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon at his Holmby Hills home and paramedics were unable to revive him. We’re told when paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back.

A source tells us Jackson was dead when paramedics arrived. A cardiologist at UCLA tells TMZ Jackson died of cardiac arrest.

MICHAEL JACKSON … R.I.P.

According to reports, Michael Jackson was not breathing when paramedics arrived at the home he was staying at. Paramedics worked to resuscitate Jackson for more than 40 minutes to no avail.

From ET on line, what is reported as one of the last pics of Michael Jackson, see below the fold.

What a sad ending to what I think was a pretty good guy. I never believed he did any of the things he was accused of. Yes he was a bit weird but that did not make him guilty.

    3. Kat_Gram on June 25th, 2009 7:37 pm

His music made alot of people happy in his day, me included. I remeber trying to ” moonwalk”.
As for the rest of it, he’s passed. I hope there are no details released at all.
It’s all very sad, isn’t it. So much talent and so much torture for him.

    4. ANewGirl on June 25th, 2009 7:43 pm

This is kind of shocking news….only 50 years old..WOW. Love him or not…he was an Icon.

Michael, you were one talented individual and a remarkable showman. I will remember you for the many personae you were and the many changes you went through.

As a member of the Jackson 5, you were my sweetheart and soooo hot. I had your poster on my wall.

You changed with each generation, something I cannot recall anyone else doing so well. You are forever young.

      RIP, Michael.

Hopefully he will get the peace that he wasn’t allowed during his life.

we all f*d him up real good.

The passing of Michael Jackson is like a star being plucked from the sky. The sky becomes dimmer.

goodness gravy folks, the guy was a pedophile who got away with his crimes because of his celebrity who also was hooked on drugs while killed him.

SM: Its a tragic tale Katablog. I will be writing in greater detail about all of the troubles of MJ tonite. However, it is a sad & sordid tragic tale of a guy with all the talent in the world who crumbled before our very eyes and many just watched and leached off him.

I do not condone his behavior and I question, even though he was never found guilty, i do find his explanations hard to believe.

However, the man was a talent, and so troubled.

    13. Dolf on June 26th, 2009 8:47 am

katablog, he was aquitted from all charges.

    14. Michelle Smith on June 26th, 2009 9:12 am

I will say I did enjoy his music and his performances and he will be remembered for the Icon he was. He had real talent and that’s not something you find too often these days.

Yes, he was a strange dude to say the least but I hope he is at peace now.

    15. Michelle Smith on June 26th, 2009 9:14 am

#13 So was O.J. in the double murder trial. Doesn’t mean he didn’t do it. Sometimes celebrities get away with things they shouldn’t because of who they are. I’m not saying he did or did not do what he was accused of, I’m just saying, the justice system isn’t always correct.

    16. Scott on June 26th, 2009 10:11 am

To you people who are bashing this guy with these innuendos and such about his “alleged” pedophilia, give it a F*****G REST!

The guy did MORE good than bad but nobody wants to talk about the charities and donations and the such Jackson did throughout his life. The guy CHANGED the music industry FOREVER. He was the FIRST black entertainer to be allowed to air a video on MTV and changed videos forever.

For us 30 somethings, we grew up listening to MJ. This is OUR generations Elvis; but bigger because this guy is GOD over in London. The barista I talk to daily is from England and said we wouldn’t understand how much of a deity he is to people over there.

The people that accused him pedophilia were scum bags that were trying to extort money. Throughout his life he has had more frivilous and extortion type lawsuits then any other person and he beat ALL of them!

With that being said, people often make mistakes but it’s sad when people only remember the bad when we all should remember the good.

Whatever you want to say about him, he was the greatest ENTERTAINER who EVER lived PERIOD!

RIP Michael. You will be missed but your musical greatness will live on forever!

    17. ANewGirl on June 26th, 2009 10:55 am

Kata! I think it is wrong that you say this man was a Pedophile! Eccentric? Yes! Wierd! Yes! Had boys sleep beside him in his bed..YES! I do not believe for one second he EVER touched those boys or had sex with them. Was it normal behavior for a 40 something year old man to have young boys sleeping and playing with him in his bedroom, etc? NO. Those acts do not make him a Pedophile and for you to say that…means YOU believe everything the MSM has put out there on him. For someone so informed—how can you be so niave?

He had millions of dollars- and ADULTS were behind CHILDREN and both times this man was brought up on charges—he was innocent. He settled out of court to make it all go away. That is EXTORTION! He paid them off so he could continue with his life instead of a battle in court that could have lasted years and cost him millions more. The second time- he was acquitted, and rightly so. He should have learned the first time not to engage in exactly the same type of behavior that caused him legal trouble in the first place.

It is a sad and tragic tale, and with all the man went through in his life—see if you can concentrate on the good things the King of Pop did for others- the music industry, etc. before labeling him as something he never was. While you don’t have to agree—and while no one on this planet is going to say that any of his behavior in the later years of his life was “normal”…again ….don’t think it is right that you refer to the man as a Pedophile. Read the facts—get the transcripts from the files…watch all the in depth interviews…then think again about it with an open mind and heart.

He may have hugged and kissed children or those boys, I still maintain that none of it was ever sexual. It was done out of love, pure affection, tenderness and admiration! All the things he NEVER HAD & was robbed of in his own childhood from his own Father and bully Joe Jackson. Just think about it and put everything into it’s proper perspective before you go persecuting the guy.

      Thank you.

    18. PlatinumSkye on June 26th, 2009 11:58 am

I’m the only one here who agrees with katablog. He may have been a good contributor to the world of music, however the fact that he got away with sexual abuse if children is something I cannot ignore.

17 – I find it ironic that the allegations were brought up in 1993 and 2005. Why would people wait twelve years to extort Jackson on the same type of allegations again?

    19. Susan on June 26th, 2009 4:45 pm

Michael Jackson and God know what really happened with those little boys, no one else. Michael was trying to grant those kids their last wishes out of the goodness of his heart. If I had my guess, those LITTLE BOYS’ PARENTS put them up to lying to authorities in an attempt to get money from Michael. If that’s the case, may the little boys and their lying, deceitful parents ROT!

    20. Susan on June 26th, 2009 4:48 pm

and furthermore, “let he who is without sin cast the first stone”!

None of us were there and we don’t know what happened, if anything at all…

    21. Susan on June 26th, 2009 4:50 pm

and by the way, while you are at it, take a good long, hard look at yourselves in the freaking mirror!

    22. katablog.com on June 26th, 2009 7:28 pm

Took a good look Susan and for all my foibles, I do not abuse children. There is no excuse for a pedophile. Okay, so he had talent and like many “stars” he got so hung up on himself that he believed the rules no longer applied to him – and apparently a majority of you believed him.

    23. Susan on June 26th, 2009 11:05 pm

katablog – Please prove your claim that Michael Jackson was a pedophile. Were you in the same room with Michael and the boy(s) when the alleged molestation incident(s) took place? Where is your evidence?

Why do you show no respect for the dead?

I agree with you, there’s no excuse for a pedophile, but Jackson was never convicted of any crime(s) against anyone.

    24. ANewGirl on June 26th, 2009 11:17 pm

#18—It’s not ironic that “people” waited 12 years to extort money from Michael Jackson again…that was just pure greed raising it’s ugly little head again.

What I find ironic, is that the man is dead and you don’t have anything good to say about him. Considering that what he accomplished in his life that was positive and inspiring far outweighed the negative press he received, I would think that others would let it pass at a time like this. Unbelievable.

#22- I don’t think Michael Jackson ever abused children. In fact, one of the stupidest things I think I ever saw him do was covering the head of his baby with a blanket and holding him over a balcony for thousands of screaming fans to see. Completely poor judgement and a mistake, still doesn’t even qualify as “abuse”. Really, you are going overboard but so be it. Again, the Man is dead and you have nothing positive to say about him and completely maximize and distort the truth. As #20 stated, unless you were there—how can you say or call this man the names you did. The facts speak for themselves and there is no proof or evidence of what you speak, only coerced and bogus testimony from children who were instructed to perjure themselves so their crooked parents could continue receiving free trips, money, cars, expensive gifts, etc. Didn’t you hear that the Mother of one of these children in the trail was also later convicted of various types of fraud? I’d look it up for you if I had the time but I do remember reading about that in the past and it was verified to be factual.

      Thank you.

Obviously those who are acknowledging any self- motivating contribution that Michael Jackson has made to society … have never been a child victim of a pedophile and are unable to relate.

A young man who began attending our church in his teens … is forced to live the rest of his life with the devastating emotional effects of sexual abuse that occured at the hand of a trusted family friend. The nightmare is ongoing and negatively affects every aspect of his life in regards to trusting relatinships.

At the time of the Michael Jackson trial … when it was revealed that 24 million had already been paid out in out-of-court settlements to past child accusers … when it was revealed on American television from Michael Jackson’s own lips while holding the hand of his accuser that he felt it was beautiful to share his bed with children that were not his own … this young member of our congregation … angerly threw out every Michael Jackson album he had accumulated and … so did his circle of friend who empathized. They all made a pledge … in the name of child sexually abuse … they would never again listen to Michael Jackson’s music.

Is there one poster on this forum who would have thought it a “beautiful thing” for his/her young nephew, son, grandson to have slept in the same bed as Michael Jackson?

Is there one poster on this forum who would be lifting Michael onto a pedestal if his/her nephew, son or grandson made an accusation of sexual abuse and … had was right on as far as identifying specific in regards to his genitals?

      Just asking.
