How Stupid Can One Be? Raid on Plaxico Burress Home … Weapons Found … Lawyers, Guns & Money

Tis the season to be foolish … Plaxico Burress finds himself potentially in even more trouble. Plaxico may want to take a page from Warren Zevon … Lawyer, Guns and Money.  Hey Plaxico … “I’m a desperate man, send lawyers guns and money … the s#%t has hit the fan.”

As if New York Giants WR Plaxico Burress was not already in enough trouble with the law stemming from his gun accidently discharging in a Manhattan night club shooting himself in the leg. The result, his subsequent suspension from the Giants, implication of other team members and legal issues. Well it may have got even worse for the troubled Plaxico Burress. Yesterday police served a search warrant on Burress’ home in Totowa, NJ and police seized a cache of guns.

Police yesterday seized a small cache of weapons and ammo from the Totowa, NJ, home of troubled Giants star Plaxico Burress, possibly setting up the suspended grid star for more legal trouble, law-enforcement sources said.

If the guns are unlicensed, the embattled wide receiver could face additional charges in New Jersey on top of the felony gun-possession charges he was slapped with after shooting himself in the leg at a Manhattan nightclub last month.

What did police find in the search … guns and money. No wonder Plaxico need a good lawyer. Plaxico may be facing new charges as a result of the search.

Seized in the raid were one 9 mm handgun, a rifle and ammo for three additional guns – a .380, a .45 and a .40, which is the caliber of gun with which he accidentally shot himself in the leg.

Also found in the execution of the search warrant – but not seized, since it was unconnected to any criminal allegations – was a suitcase full of money, sources said.

If things were not bad enough on the weapons front, a South Florida woman is suing Burress alleging her car was rear ended by Burress’ uninsured Mercedes Benz.

Sounds like an ode to Georgey Peorgey and Cindy, too. :)

Wanna fix the economy? Give these thugs a pay cut. Pro atheletes are very much over paid.

Why do these athletes keep messing up their careers? Can’t seem to stay out of trouble.

They say half the fun is the risky behavior.
Maybe it’s true, cause they run out on the field, not knowing if they’re going to be able to walk back.

I’ve read about the ‘old days,’ when athletes like Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, and the like were seen as role models for young people across the nation.

And, later, when athletes like Jackie Robinson helped destroy the ‘color barrier,’ thereby not only making the ‘American sport’ truly American, but giving the world an example of courage and integrity.

Consider their equivalents of today … if you can … and then wonder how our society has decayed.

The old lines still apply as much as ever:

“Ill fares the land, to hast’ning ills a prey,
Where wealth accumulates, and men decay.”

I guess I’m from the old school, but I have always believed in God, Country, and the Second Amendment. The First Amendment like the Second applies even to professional athletes.

Just because he lives in a gun confiscating, socialistic state like the Peoples Republic of New Jersey does not make him a criminal for owning and enjoying something as fun and beautiful as a few firearms.

He is not a criminal until he uses a firearm in the commission of a crime.

Guns are not in the same category as illegal drugs.

So, if any of you are out there using drugs, smoking pot, etc.
      You are the real criminals.

no jerry what he is going to jail for is because he walked into a night club drinking alcohol while having a concealed glock full clip, loaded and the safety off then he shot himself in the quad if that gun was pointed in another direction and if he was sitting down he could ve killed someone and if you own guns than you should know that you arnt supposed to bring guns to places that serve alcohol the guy is a stupid over paid athlete with no common sense trying to show off with a gun in his belt
