Guns, What Guns on One Happy Island? At least nine shots were fired in Robbery Attempt in Aruba

In Aruba at least 9 shots were fired Friday night in a robbery attempt after clerks stepped out of their armoured vehicle while transporting money. What are the gun laws on Aruba? So much for violent crime not being an issue.

Spectacular raid on money-transport fails  (Amigoe 3/31/2008)

ORANJESTAD – Money transporters of a security service in Eagle barely escaped the bullets of two raiders last Friday evening.  The first shots were fired the moment the collecting clerks stepped out of their armoured vehicle to deliver a great amount of money they have collected, to their office.  The clerks managed to reach their office unhurt.  At least nine shots were fired.  The police immediately closed off the area and started with the investigation together with the atraco-team and the technical criminal investigation department.  They found some cartridges.  Most of the bullets were shot in the wall.  In the picture, some members of the investigation team entering the office to listen to the collecting clerks’ account.

Well, let’s blame the usual suspects: American tourists.

How can we? We don’t HAVE any American tourists.

      Oh, yeah? Who says?

That bozo who runs our government, Nelson Oduber.

Oh, yeah, that’s right. Hmmm … well, let’s blame the Colombian tourists. We’re getting more of them.

You can’t do that … we need all the tourists that we can get.

I see. Well, let’s blame … black security guards. Anyone will believe anything we say about them.

Great idea. That’s why you’ve got the title, “The brightest person on Aruba.”

    8. Ray on March 31st, 2008 8:58 pm

I say that their gross income is down even more than the number of tourist is down. The Holiday Inn in aruba was offering rooms at 50 percent off. Renting 100 percent of the rooms at 50 percent off means less money than renting 80 percent of the rooms full price. Does ATA have one BRAIN in the whole bunch. Finding NATALEE and giving her justice would do more good than all the paid PR and cutrate rooms.

Come on folks, Paulus has to get that blackmail money from somewhere.

Note: the story doesn’t tell us if they got any of the money. The clerks fled to the office. So what happened to the money they were delivering?

    13. Gunslinger on April 1st, 2008 8:01 am

Gun laws only hurt inocent people.

    14. brie on April 1st, 2008 8:24 am

Katalog…..the article doesn’t state anything about what happened to the money…it just tells us they were delivering a great deal of money and no one got hurt…so the clerks either had the money with them or it remained in the armored truck or it was a heist…who knows but as usual we never get the whole story.

    15. Rusty Bridges on April 1st, 2008 8:57 am

The “tarp” that you see in these videos is actually an opaque plastic painters dropcloth. The same opaque plastic material that whatever is in the “mariot basin” is wrapped in. Notice how sometimes you can see the person who is carrying it around in the videos through it.

Great observations. They were outfitted to look

They beat the sh** out of her.

      They cut her face.

Then they shot her right in the middle of the head.

The only justice Natalee Ann will ever get from Aruba, is that her fellow American’s stand up for her… and not even so much as SHOOT A FART in Aruba’s GENERALLLLLLL DIRECTION!!!!!!!!

They f-ing beat her, they cut her, and they blew our baby’s head off. From day 1, they never had any intentions of solving the case. That has been thoroughly documented in the media. 1,040-ish days later still nothing.

EVEN AFTER ALL THE CORRUPTION WE’VE UNCOVERED.

      EVEN AFTER A CONFESSION.

Aruba & the Nederlands are still playing hot potato,

Hopefully, some nutter will shoot ‘em or CHOOSE A NAME their MFn houses to the ground?

Screw the Arubian idiot. Without American tourists

ARUBA IS TOAST. It is our only route left, because

they’ve taken away any legal channels whatsoever

to get justice for our girl NATALEE.

I was thinking yesterday, that I now love & respect

      Natalee even more.

      WHY YOU ASK?

Because even in her drugged out haze that was brought on by JORAN VANDERSLOOT spiking her drink…

even in that state, she had enough brain cells working to know that she’d rather fight to the death, than have to have sex with those 3 pieces
of human garbage. Natalee if you’re up there reading this post today…

No justice, no tourists. No tourists, no money. Paulus didn’t mention that.

Aruba, we all know the the Pimps are guilty. We all know Paulus’s friends covered up the crime. Now we all know that big people in Aruba lie about how safe it is there.

    28. Patti on April 3rd, 2008 1:15 am

I posted this to a previous thread, but think that it deserves repeating as the Dutch have started complaining about the money that they (as taxpayers) have had to pay to support Aruba, especially in the face of what has happened to their economy due to the boycott…

      *************************************************

Personally, I think that the shot to the head (if there was one) was post mortem. Where is the blood? You shoot a girl in the head with a high-calibur weapon, there’s going to be blood… and if that’s how she died, there would be no blood
later. No blood from the cut made to the heart, no blood from the removal of the kidney… no blood on her ankles.

      http://scaredmonkeys.net/index.php?topic=1066.0

I’m not saying that she wasn’t shot in the head… perhaps by one of the many anti-American, happy friends in Aruba… maybe even a police officer fired that shot in an effort to cover the REAL cause of death. Clearly, the decision to cover the crime was initiated by the Prime Minister, himself; as evident by his radio
address to the people, and; obviously, by the actions of the Justice Department, itself, to cover this crime and cover it quickly. Later, when asked about what happened at the rocks, it was only reported that the body of a 10-year old boy, a Columbian, missing for over two years was unburied and retrieved. The only problem being
that the Chicago videos only show a female body that, obviously, was not placed in the ground over two years ago. When further questioned, the
officials stated that the parents of the Columbian boy were not located; in other words, they vanished into thin air. So… where is that body, today?

Shango says there will be 42 sacrifices. If there is a sacrifice made every month, according to their tradition, that would mean 3 and a half years. I am prepared to stick it out another year, or however long it takes to get the justice this family and this nation deserves.

The people of The Netherlands cry about paying the price, while it is evident to me that the officials living and working on the island HAD to have been aware of what was going on… and looked the other way. How do you breed and live among some of the most savage and brutal societies in the world and not be aware of it? It is my opinion, that they WERE aware of it and didn’t care. Perhaps for a nation that does
little, to nothing, to curb the ever-growing problem of child pornography, beastality and human trafficking couldn’t care less about only ONE child, Natalee Holloway. But, if that’s the case; you miss the point. Natalee Holloway has come to stand for all the victims that have been forced to be treated like an animal, a lamb, being forced to offer her life for a nation that not only does not practice the same religion; but despises the typical Christian values that we instill in our children. The Netherlands should pay and pay dearly.

By there own admission, The Netherlands is having a hard time balancing the numbers. They have come right out and said that the number of people on the island does not match with the number of people that SHOULD be on the island of Aruba. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that perhaps the reason those people are missing is because they fell victim to the same demise as that ONE child, Natalee Holloway. WE, the People of the U.S. don’t let one of ours fall
victim to savage predators without a response. It is not hard to accept that WE are the ones that have paid the price ALL the way around. We have lost a promicing child that was destined to grow into a model citizen, who’s only desire in life was to help others; as well as the millions of dollars that have been spent on trying to find her, retrieve her and return her to her family… A family that have poured their hearts and souls into finding SOME kind of justice for the wrongful, despicable and horrific death of their daughter. So pay, you must; to assure that
this doesn’t happen to any other child and make this world a safer place to be.

      .

      Queen Bea:

You don’t know who I am, but you soon will. You, above all, should show the strength to stand up to all that is evil, whether it be in Aruba or the Netherlands. You, above all, should lead the fight for justice in the case of Natalee Holloway
and put an end to the corruption and violent crimes that are committed against the most innocent of us all, on a monthly basis. These are not random crimes, but rather, carefully planned out crimes against the most innocent of them all; our virgin children who have had the spiritual fortitude to stay ‘clean’ in a world that is obsessed with sex and other ‘unclean’ practices. It’s time for The Netherlands to refresh their strategy to include refuge for those that are sick and battered by a government that is not only corrupt and unruly; but one that preys on our children and their families.

I beg you, please stop powdering your nose and walking in closed circles and voice your support for the Holloway family in their quest for their daughter… and back it up! Continue to expose the discrepancies in the operations of nearly every PUBLIC safety department based in Aruba. Tell us the truth about the discrepancies in the
immigration reports and release that long-over due report on your investigation into the unconscienable and inept practices of the Justice Department. But, most of all, release the results of the tests that you performed on the soil taken from, both, the Sloot compound and the Rocks. This has turned into a world-wide
concern and, as such, the whole world DESERVE to know what happened to Natalee Holloway on that dreadful night on the Arawak Nation of Aruba… then, perhaps, there will be peace in the valley and you will win back the support of your people as well as profound respect from the rest of the world.

The partial body, consisting mostly of a skull, found in a cage, deep on the sea floor could have been anyone. There is no doubt, in my mind, that Natalee is there among them… and we WILL find her. I can only hope that your actions, both
now and in the near future, will not be one of the blindness that comes with looking the other way as has been shown by your island of Aruba. But, rather, one of kindness and consideration for this victim, as well as the many others.

THAT’s the way of the real world.

      .

      Justice for Natalee

    29. Patti on April 3rd, 2008 1:56 am

      P.S.

I, still, firmly stand by my opinion that the Kalpoes knew nothing of this crime until long after it was committed. Why else would they be insisting that Joran told his best friend the truth of what happened to Natalee AND even prompt Joran, himself, saying that Freddie needed to tell the truth?

I believe the Kalpoes WANT to tell, but are concerned with the hear-say rules. Shango said that the two of them would sing a poison song. Poison in that it would be very difficult for the American people to comprehend. It truly is unconscienable that there are, still, some among us that practice vile acts against children every month, in the spirit of a festival… a celebration, for their pagan gods.

Is it that difficult to understand the words of Prime Minister Oduber when he says that over 90,000 citizens of the Arawak Nation of Aruba would be embarrassed and that revealing the remains of Natalee Holloway would end their reputation as the ‘Happy Island’ leaving them with no visitors? I think not. And, yet, we still have those that feel sorry for Aruba without a clear understanding that EVERYONE that was listening to that radio address understood EXACTLY what the Minister was referring to….
