Peter R. de Vries Show Has Pics of Natalee Holloway Suspect Joran Van der Sloot in Thailand Allegedly Involved in Thai Sex Trade

What goes around comes around …

Joran Van der Sloot may have found a way to con his way out of a crime in Aruba with a Joran_vander_SlootHellcomplicit, inept and corrupt system in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway; however, he may have bitten off more than even he can get away with in Bangkok, Thailand.Peter R. de Vries, Dutch crime reporter, showed images Sunday night on his TV show of Joran Van der Sloot allegedly recruiting Thai girls to work in the sex industry in Europe. It appears that Judicial authorities in Thailand have requested copies of the images of Joran Van der Sloot.

VIDEO

Joran van der Sloot, the main suspect in the disappearance case of US teenager Natalee Holloway, has been filmed in Bangkok where he was allegedly recruiting Thai girls to work in the sex industry in Europe.

In images secretly shot by crime reporter Peter R. de Vries, Mr Van der Sloot is shown accepting a one thousand euros advance payment for his services. Independent lawyer J.P. Plasman says that by receiving the money Mr Van der Sloot has committed a punishable offence.

Judicial authorities in Thailand have requested copies of the images broadcast on Sunday by Dutch commercial tv channel SBS6.

Has Joran Van der Sloot gone underground in an attempt to flee justice after the disclosure of these images? According to reports from Dutch News, Joran left Thailand on Friday prior to the airing of the Peter R. de Vries Show.

A spokesman for tv crime reporter Peter R de Vries, who made the two-hour show using hidden cameras, told the paper that the transcript was now being translated for Thai embassy staff.

Meanwhile, the paper says Van der Sloot left Thailand on Friday, before the broadcast.

His lawyer Bert de Rooij, has been unable to speak to him, the paper says. ‘I am hoping to get in touch with him soon,’ the Telegraaf quoted De Rooij as saying.

According to Radio Netherlands report, there is a new witness.

Mr De Vries has produced a new witness in the Holloway case. Press reports say that Mr Van der Sloot told a girlfriend, identified only as Celes, “Who knows, you may now be on the beach with someone who is able to get rid of a corpse.”

According to judicial psychologist Harald Merkelbach, who watched both the earlier and the recent footage, Joran van der Sloot believes he is invulnerable. “He sees people as objects.” The psychologist calls Mr Van der Sloot “a young man with many defects”.

UPDATE I: Report: Natalee Holloway Suspect Involved in Thai Sex Trafficking

De Vries’ latest report, which was shown Sunday night on Dutch television, shows Van der Sloot telling someone posing as a sex-industry boss that he can get passports for Thai women and girls who think they are going to the Netherlands to work as dancers, DutchNews.nl reported.

Van der Sloot makes about $13,000 for every woman sold into prostitution in the Netherlands, De Vries claims.

“The pictures show how little respect this 21-year-old has for the lives of others,” De Vries told a Dutch newspaper. “The fact that he goes into the trafficking of women after the disappearance of Natalee is typical of him.”

UPDATE II: Suspect in Holloway Case Allegedly Caught Arranging for Sex Workers

In the grainy undercover video, shot at the Landmark Hotel in Bangkok, van der Sloot, once baby-faced but now heavier with scruffy facial hair, can be seen meeting with de Vries’ men as he brings two young Thai women to a meeting in a hotel room. The meeting was recorded by hidden cameras. Later he is also caught on tape allegedly accepting a $1,000 cash advance for his services, the Dutch broadcast claimed.

Anita van der Sloot’s ongoing mission has been to protect her son from the consequences of his actions on the morning of May 30, 2005 when Natalee Holloway went missing.

Has her efforts produced a positive outcome? No way! All Anita’s abetting has accomplished is to convince Joran that the established moral and legal boundardies of a civilized society does not apply to him. All Anita’s abetting has accomplished is to put other “Natalee Holloways” at risk.

Joran is many evil, disgusting things…but apparently he is also stupid. I love the fact that De Vries has caught him on camera once again.

Payback is a b****, and I sure hope one day the Sporter gets what is coming to him. Anita and Paulus VDS should be ashamed (and prosecuted) for enabling and abetting him in his crimes and their subsequent cover-ups as well.

Mr de Vries reminds me of the Jewish Nazi hunters who hunted the worst of the worst after the war so they would either be brought to justice or always worry.

We’re a better world because some people have both the ability and motivation to press on for justice. Had Van Der Sloot really been a nice boy then this would have gone away. He’s not and it’s obvious. His behavior speaks the truth not his words.

      from Devries:
      During
talks at a hotel he says now that he can make weekly young women. The visas and
passports are no problem, he claims. “I rule that all, do not worry!” Formally,
the girls, who think dancer to be, in our country training. In reality, they six
days a week working in a brothel.

      NOW COMPARE:
      excerpt:
Apparently, owner Alfonso Riverol went to Cuba himself for the auditions and picked only the cream of the crop. It’s a dirty job, he banters, but it must be done. Alfonso Riverol is a great host and he put the party together with his very experienced resort staff. As his guest of honor he invited Zizi Lee, first runner up Miss World, Aruba’s most famous citizen. The tall and gorgeous beauty queen was escorted by her family members. Parties at the Wyndham are always generous, and the food on the buffet was exceptional: mini lamb chops, giant shrimp cooked in cream and Pernod, crab cakes and beautiful canapés. Free flowing drinks from the bar made the event ever so easier to handle. General Manager Rob Smith and Director of Operations Joe Najjar greeted their guests and mingled with other general managers from the strip among them Jeff Lesker from the Radisson and Barry Kaplan from the Hyatt.

As for Anita, remember her telling us that the sporter was an honors student who never drank?

Cf. the comment by JvdScum: something such as, it takes twenty beers to get me drunk.

So much for his parents. They’re more garbage.

My understanding … EURobert, is this right? … is that the Dutch government has said that “for now” it will not prosecute.

I would think that the Thais have jurisdiction, and that they will press for vdScum’s extradition.

Will the Netherlands continue to offer refuge to this piece of … salmonella? If so, how far is the Netherlands prepared to go in defending it?

Dear Kata, In the past year the Thailand government has made deals all over world exchanging wanted criminals. If they want Joran
to dance they can get him. Will the Netherlands hand over Joran? The UK would in heart beat.
Everyone wants to get their citzens out of the Bangkok Hilton.

    24. Tazman on November 10th, 2008 10:38 pm

Maybe the people in Aruba and/or the Netherlands who have been protecting Joran, (indirectly) got him involved in the Thai sex trade because they wouldn’t be able to protect him from getting arrested in a country other than the Netherlands or its islands. Someone helped get him off for admitting killing Nat on that tape last Feb. And, that person or persons reach all the way to the Netherlands from Aruba and back again. And, maybe just maybe they are all getting tired of Joran.

    25. Greg on November 10th, 2008 11:58 pm

This is just like the OJ case. Joran gets off on murder. But goes to jail for selling Thai girls into the Sex Trade. How many poor women has Joran sold in the past? Check the brothels in Aruba, Netherlands, and Europe. Van der Sloot has put a black eye on Aruba, Thailand, now the Netherlands.
Peter R. de Vries is the only JUSTICE I have seen.
      The Hague what a joke!

    26. Sparks on November 11th, 2008 12:17 am

What kind of family is the Van der Sloots? And where is the money coming from to have Joran moving about the world?

It looks like they have links to Organized Crime. The Dutch Police Force need to look into Paulus’ background as a judge for bribes and links to criminals. Paulus and Joran need to be arrested now in the Netherlands!

      Very creepy and strange.

    27. Fox Fire on November 11th, 2008 12:22 am

I, especially, found it telling that he admitted
the three-month work visas wouldn’t be a problem.
How many times have we discussed that topic
in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway?

I, still. think there’s a possibility that she
may have been trafficked while those assisting,
in Aruba, killed another blonde girl to pose as
      Natalee in sightings.

I’ve never bought into the idea that she was, actually, moved about from one place to another.
It looked like Aruba wanted her parents to think
that Natalee was dead, give up and move on, like
      so many others did.

      The Justice Keeps Coming…

Maybe, soon, we’ll actually have something

      we can hold on to.

      .

      Justice for Natalee!

Right. Just he seems very unsuccesfull in all he does. In the PrdV show you can see how he comes up with the idea of contacting Thai women for working in brothels around the world. In the show you see actual women in a hotel (already dancers in Thai brothels it seems) who seem interested to make more money abroad. But they say NO to the offer, for they wish to finish their education first. Then later he gets money (from the PrdV show) to further investigate if he can find other women (for him probably a sponsored sex trip for his own ‘pleasure’). So far all he seems to have done (in this show) is to use the position of thai women to work around the world and profit from it in a financial way.

PrdV announced the show as if it would be far worse then we saw (p.s. I do not condone what was shown, but doubt how illegal it actually was… for sure PrdV was in illegal activity too for investigating and provoking Joran).

The biggest lesson from the show (maybe not illegal activity) is that Joran is quite the scumbag and seems to be able to do some nasty stuff if he comes into the situation. You wonder where it would have gone if the circumstances were ‘easier’ for him. It does seem (again?) that he would (or could) act differently then a person of higher moral.

    33. Richard on November 11th, 2008 8:49 am

Posters #27 and #30 … Just remember the case of Amy Bradley, who vanished from a cruise ship in 1998 … one day after it docked in Aruba, and crew members wanted to take her to a bar known as Carlos ‘n’ Charlies.

    34. Richard on November 11th, 2008 8:58 am

Poster #30 — You ask ‘what is the problem’ in looking into the possibility of trafficking.

I don’t know if it DID happen or not … certainly it violates the dictum that the simplest explanation is the best, although that dictum doesn’t always work in real life.

But I always thought that Aruba’s contorted efforts to cover up, to contradict today what it said yesterday, to make itself look asinine (and it succeeded), could be explained easily in one way:

Crime happens everywhere, and, yes, in the U.S. too. But Aruba’s economy is 80% or more dependent on U.S. tourism.

If it became known that Natalee were trafficked and sent from Aruba to, say, the South American continent, who would be willing to go to Aruba?

That’s the point: IF it happened, the resulting fallout would kill off American tourism for quite some time, and (presumably) even our government in that case would press for an investigation that would illuminate the criminal underbelly of Aruba and cut off the flow of funding.

So, clearly, it’s better for Aruba to have this be ‘just another’ crime. Is that why Jan van der Straaten said that Natalee was dead … but never presented any evidence to support it?

      Perhaps we’ll find out.

By the way, one technique commonly used around the world in controlling girls abducted into the sex trade (so I have read) is to make threats against their families: If you escape, we’ll hunt you down and kill you … and we’ll kill your family as well.

There are many cases of this, including some in the U.S.

About a year after Amy Bradley went missing, an American sailor had a chance encounter with a woman in a Curacao seedy brothel who (in his own testimony, later) said that she gave her name as Amy Bradley and begged for his help.

He had never heard of Amy Bradley before. He thought it was some kind of hoax, and left.

Shortly after, back in the U.S., the Bradley family got a call from a neighbor. Some people from two cars on the street were filming them.

When the Bradleys went over to ask what was going on, the cars took off.

Put it together, and what do you come up with? An attempt to convince captive Amy that they knew who her family were, where they were, and to make their threats plausible?

You tell me … but Beth and Dave had enough TV exposure worldwide to make them easy marks.

I think prosecution is going to be tough. The reporter should have gotten the Thai police involved before undertaking this scheme. This was a pretty bold thing to pull off. I also think it may be illegal to record someone’s conversation without first notifying them. It is in the US. Nancy Grace did a big deal on this last night where she had some hysterics over sex trafficking. She had a guest on who said “Thailand has a horrible reputation for not protecting children”. Well, first off, I dont believe children were involved in this case. Secondly, a number of European and US men have been arrested and extradicted from Thailand in recent years for abusing children. John Mark Karr was one of them. Colorado prosecutors screwed that up. Thailand captured him and turned him over to US Marshalls. Thailand did thier part.

    43. Richard on November 11th, 2008 1:49 pm

We don’t know the ages of the Thai girls, or if there were other attempts at recruitment, so it’s premature to opine on charges.

I’ve been told by a dedicated researcher who works with one of Natalee’s parents that a local TV station got on to Hans Mos. His comments:

      a. the Netherlands won’t “for now” go after Joran.
      b. Aruba won’t do anything.
      c. Hans Mos plans to close the case permanently in December.

I’ve been unable to confirm this on the Internet.
When and if I can, I’ll post the info here.

If this is true, then it’s just beyond belief that Joran can go around the world breaking laws (to put it mildly) and neither Holland nor Aruba will do anything.

Beyond belief, that is, unless others are being protected as well….

Just remember, folks, that PvdScum and Joran both said they could care less if there’s a boycott against Aruba.

So if that’s their attitude, why should we Americans be reluctant to press forward when there’s an obvious conspiracy against one of our own?

The behaviour of the Kalpoes cleaning their car early morning, Deepak saying he was trying to throw an investigation off before it was even known Natalee was gone, Paulus searching drugs, alcohol and the effects on young people, lawyers, leading cops away from the home that night after coming to his door with his cell phone, claiming he just woke up.. Jacobs asking Deepak and Satish about the fisherman’s huts the first time they were questioned, when Joran said they didn’t use that alibi until after the 9th.. When it was said if they find the girl they will see that s%%t and Joran would get 15 years. I think Natalee was the victim of the oldest game of creeps..rape gone worse. I also believe she was probably drugged.I remember the hotel worker that told beth, he tends to pray on young, blond, american tourists, so they already knew his pattern. I remember the girls who came forward to say they were raped by him..that were named in John Q. Kelly’s papers.I also believe Paulus is involved and coached them. Anita and Paulus lie as much as Joran,, he gets in naturally. What really struck me is when Beth said she has heard nothing from Aruba since February.. I would say unbelievable, but it’s been that way since the start.. The dutch had it right,, strange and unprofessional. No matter what any one brings them it’s never enough or tainted or lost. I’ve often wondered about Guido after he left Aruba for Holland and hired the lawyer who defended milosevic.. When he was released, Joran called him.. . Hans Mos is no better than the last prosecutor. I remember Steve Cohen saying 2 of these guys had sex with Natalee and he and the prosecutor expected them to be charged with rape and murder. I also remember them saying that Paulus sat around the pool with the Kalpoes and Joran and they made up the Holiday Inn story. Beth said the day she was at the Sloots… she just knew Natalee had been there. I believe she was too.

I wouldn’t be surprised Joran walks again, but..like OJ…he will do his own self in.. Joran, inside for the most part, is just a shell.. like OJ. He never had discipline or anyone to tell him no. Doesn’t surprise me he would threaten PDV’s life either. He doesn’t have any love for his parents either..it’s all about Joran to Joran.

Since his friend LUKE is from the USA and actively participating in their goal to make money on making Thai women work as hookers abroad… I think we should not only Boycott ARUBA and THE NETHERLANDS, but since now ALSO the USA! (all states of them, not just the one with Seattle in it).

That logic don’t work, if you can find law enforcement in Washington behaving like they did in Aruba towards a victim and their family from Aruba let me know. Natalee and her family have been treated worse than the creeps, by the very people in power to protect people against such creeps. Why would another person want their daughter to be the next victim.

    55. Albert on November 11th, 2008 6:56 pm

Hey Richard I have a free ticket for you to Aruba. It looks like you need to see the island for yourself. Stop hating a place you don’t even know. I would show you around myself.

    56. DL on November 11th, 2008 7:20 pm

simply put, Joran deserved in 05 and still deserves now a bullet in the back of the head…If that had been my daughter, he would have already been dead.

    57. Richard on November 11th, 2008 9:04 pm

Albert (#55) … Thanks, but I don’t hate Aruba. I think most of its people are about the same as the rest of us … good, bad, and indifferent.

I hate the dishonesty, corruption, lying, and exploitation. Accordingly, I don’t want my fellow Americans (or anyone else, for that matter) to go there.

Only justice for Natalee? Nope. Just a decent regard for truth and life.

      So thanks, but no thanks.

    58. Richard on November 11th, 2008 9:06 pm

For a start, let’s see the Aruban people demanding justice for Natalee and denouncing the van der Sloots … instead of being shepherded into demonstrations against Beth and Dave, whose crime was that they wanted answers in their daughter’s disappearance.

Answers that the Aruban government and law enforcement, or elements thereof, have been determined ever since May 2005 that they won’t get.

Don’t believe me? Ask Jossy Mansur.

On a previous thread, a poster opined that the boycott has failed as it proved ineffective.

I guess that someone should bring that to the attention of chief cook and bottle-washer Nelson Oduber of Aruba. Seems to me that he was on Dutch TV (Nova) in February lamenting that the boycott had cost Aruba tens of millions of dollars in lost U.S. tourist revenue.

Then again, I can see the poster’s point … who thinks that Oduber knows much of anything?

Today, Dutch News reported that Aruba has lost tens of millions of dollars due to the Natalee Holloway inspired boycott of Aruba.

      The report states:
“The disappearance of American teenager Natalee Holloway and the ensuing police investigation has cost the former Dutch colony of Aruba tens of millions of dollars in lost income from American tourists.

“The comment was made by the island’s prime minister Nelson Oduber on the Dutch tv current affairs show Nova on Tuesday evening. Aruba’s economy depends for 70% on US tourists, he said.”

      Richard,
I never laughed so hard when you said an A in Effort and an F equaled a C. I don’t know what University you went to but The one I went to is IF I tried like hell and got an F on my test I got an F. Effort doesn’t count. The Detroit Lions are trying like hell but they are 0-9. They are failures. SORRY BUDDY ! Also Arube has lost tens of Millions but have made HUNDREDS of Millions from the Americans who do go there. Every business is down now. Look at GM. There stock is the lowest in 50 years. Is anyone boycotting them ? Nice TRY !
      ______
SM: Actually nice try on your part but do not compare apples and oranges.

Nixon and Lincoln both were Presidents and left the White House also … in far different ways as well.
      R

    65. Richard on November 12th, 2008 8:32 am

Don’t see any connection between GM and a boycott.

Glad that I amused you. If you’ll refer to my post #59, you’ll see that the ‘ineffective’ boycott didn’t amuse Nelson Oduber, who whined on Dutch TV that that same boycott had cost Aruba tens of millions of dollars in lost U.S. tourist revenue.

Had the Dutch been a bit more alert (or concerned), they might have asked something like “Wouldn’t the best solution for you be in taking action on Natalee’s case?”

So we’ll see who has the last laugh ….

    66. crossbow on November 12th, 2008 8:36 am

      IMHO:
Someone pretty far up the food chain has/is an umbrella over Joran. Someone is feeding him these contacts and footing his bills. My personal opinion is not that he is stupid; I thing he is very shrewd; but at his age he could not possibly have made all the contacts he has and not an adult hand in there directing his actions and paying him.
Someone wanted Natalee for a price; if not for enjoyment then revenge.
Not: sex in the back seat take, her back to the hotel, one time in the sack,
and this was done at least twenty times before; Joran.
“Something bad happened”. I would be tearing at this guy’s tonsils if he made a statement about my daughter and did not follow up with what really did happened.
I would have had him by the gonads if he told me what he was doing to my daughter while she was unconscious. That is where Jug and Dave made the mistakes. The wrong one was angry where it should have been the father, not the step father. With me Joran would have had one chance to tell the truth.
Who though, really knows if the outcome would have been different?
Be that as it may I recently heard that Hans Mos is closing Natalee’s files at the end of December. It has been my understanding when a case is closed a deposition is given as to why it is being closed. This should be interesting for the human race to hear from the low life hans mos on Aruba.

Sad that you feel want to laugh as the last. There is no fun at all in this case! Shame on you!

The boycott might affect US companies as well… (Hotel chains such as Renaissance, Sonesta, Hyatt, Westin, Marriott, Radisson, Wyndham, Holiday Inn … I am guessing they’re all american)… by the way: none of them have boycotted Aruba. So the american companies stay in Aruba. Maybe you should boycott them too!

I doubt that Oduber whined as much as American TV evangelists that have to say on TV that they had sex out of marriage (in the Good Ole USA! – HALLELUJAH!)

    70. gturner on November 12th, 2008 10:04 am

      Richard,
I was laughing at because you thought you got a C for just trying. If you try your BEST and still FAIL you get an F you don’t get a c because you tried your best. YOU FAILED ! SORRY ! The boycott has hurt them but it didn’t sink them. They have as many tourist now as they did in the 90′s. The travel industry is hurting now. Just like EVERYTHING including GM, FORD, BANKS, RESTAURANTS, it’s just NOT ARUBA ! You might want to believe that but you are ONLY fooling yourself.

As if the steely-eyed sicko long-suspected in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway in Aruba in 2005 wasn’t creepy enough, he’s now been implicated in a plot to sell Thai women into prostitution.

Joran van der Sloot, 21, was caught on videotape by a Dutch journalist discussing how he could arrange to ship women to Amsterdam to work in the sex trade for just $300 a month, according to a Dutch television report.

Van der Sloot met with two men working with the reporter in a Thai hotel where he allegedly took $1,000 in advance for his services in procuring the women and arranging their passports and visas.

Looking back on Natalee’s disappearance, there are several (some I may not remember) physical pieces of evidence that demanded more investigation.
I’ll list them here. They are not in any particular order.
      1. Blood evidence in Deepak’s car.
      2. Blond hair on duck tape.
      3. Human bone found in Venezuela
      4. Bone found by swimmer
      5. Bits of plastic found near the light house
      6. Belt found at or near light house
      7. Report by witness (now deceased) that put Natalee and Joran
together near the lighthouse. (Not physical evidence)
      8. Fabric that every one on Scared Monkeys felt matched
      Natalee’s top.
      9. T-shirt, Lysol etc
      10. Shallow grave found in park
      11. Bloody mattress found on beach where Joran repelled.
      12. Where about of Natalee’s cell phone.
      13. Cash that Natalee had with her on the night she
disappeared. If it could only talk.

Note: Discarded and lost physical evidence only seems to point back to Joran. How convenient that is was ignored or discarded or lost.
If you would like to add to this list, fee free. We will make a complete list. Make it short and to the point.

Yo, Joey – you just love killer types?

‘Sopranos’ actor on trial in NYPD cop slaying
By COLLEEN LONG, Associated Press Writer Colleen Long, Associated Press Writer – Sun Nov 16, 2:48 pm ET

NEW YORK – Lillo Brancato Jr. was a young actor with a solid resume: He made his debut in 1993 in “A Bronx Tale” opposite Robert De Niro, went on to appear in more than a dozen movies and played a doomed mobster wannabe in HBO’s “The Sopranos.”

Now, however, at the age of 32, Brancato faces charges of second-degree murder and other crimes in the 2005 killing of police Officer Daniel Enchautegui. Jury selection for his trial begins Monday.

Brancato’s real-life troubles began not long after he befriended Steven Armento, a reputed low-level Genovese crime family associate banished for drug addiction, prosecutors say. Then his life went into a tailspin with a pair of drug-related arrests and the death of Enchautegui.
Brancato drove himself and Armento to the home of Enchautegui’s next-door neighbor and the pair broke in to steal prescription drugs, prosecutors said. When they were confronted by Enchautegui, who was off duty, Armento shot the officer. Brancato and Armento were both wounded.

Armento, 48, was convicted of first-degree murder Oct. 30 and was sentenced last week to life in prison without parole.

Brancato’s attorney, Joseph Tacopina, said his client’s case is very different.

      Yeah Joey, right.

Now is the time when the pressure really builds on a President Elect…check below what Senator Ted Kennedy has to say…why do I say pressure? Because often people who helped a President win think he is going their way 100 % and when he finally gets to the Oval Office there are other pressures, other demands etc. which force the President to do some “adjustments” — see below the email from my colleague:

      From: Noonan, Heidi
      To:
      Sent: Mon Nov 17 12:18:13 2008
      Subject: Urgent Sen. Kennedy’s remarks

Came into Russell Rotunda around 1158 with his 2 dogs and wife vicki here are his remarks:

I feel fine and looking forwars to the session with Pres elect Barack Obama on heathcare and all things on our agenda.

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers overtime. It’s delightful to be back.

      Heathcare:
Hopefully prime item on the agenda.

Also the environment of Pres elect Obama has indicated it is prime. Good team working over the period of late summer and fall has given us a good start. He’s (obama) stated that.

      Color:
Say hello to [Splash] And sunny. They’ve been behaving very well and are trying to decide which will be top dog.

Did you see the latest about Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban? Here is something VERY IMPORTANT to note…this is a CIVIL COMPLAINT and NOT a criminal complaint. There is a giant difference!!

(And of course, this is an allegation against him and not proven….I don’t know if it is true or not, but at this stage it is an allegation and could be true or a lie):

“…The Securities and Exchange Commission filed insider trading charges against Mark Cuban, the outspoken owner of the Dallas Mavericks, for allegedly dumping shares in Mamma.com upon learning it was raising money in a private offering…”

      The latest
      by Greta Van Susteren

Next week, if things go as planned, you will see some information we have obtained in the Natalee Holloway investigation. The information is in the form of audio and video tapes and other. The information is either the answer to what happened to Natalee Holloway or a wild goose chase. You will make your own judgment.

I am hoping that the Aruban prosecutor will use his subpoena power to investigate further…and I am hoping to at least shed light on a very big problem that our own State Department admits is a giant problem in the Aruba area.

Once we obtained this information months ago, our job has been twofold: to disprove or prove. A good investigator chases down every lead and then works to both prove and disprove that lead.

I will tell you this: the new information fits the time line. I will also tell you that JIm Hammer went to Aruba for us and when he confronted Joran Van der Sloot’s father it was, to say the least, “awkward.” It was so weird that Paulus Van der Sloot ripped a paper out of Hammer’s hand (a transcript) and ran into his office. Note also that until we got this information, the Kalpoe brothers’ Aruban lawyer would always return my phone calls. Now he will not…

Many of you have asked me in recent months what is the latest in this investigation. I can only tell you that we have not given up — and as proof of our stamina and determination, we have used weekends to work on this case and time during the week when we could fit between our other responsibilities.

Personally, I think it’s probably another wild goose chase..

Right and noone has ever seen her again? How did she leave, she left her passport in her room? Natalee could go out and get in her car and leave anytime she wanted with her things and money.. She worked to earn her scholarship to college to be a doctor. She loved her family and would never leave them like this for 3 years.. How nice of you to assume Natalee is a cold, heartless, runaway, instead of looking at the criminal type behaviour of these 3 the night she disappeared.

      as for Abu…

Twelve soldiers have been convicted of various charges relating to the incidents, all including dereliction of duty—most receiving relatively minor sentences. Two soldiers have either been cleared of charges or have not been charged. No one has been convicted for murders of detainees.

Colonel Thomas Pappas was relieved of his command on May 13, 2005 after receiving nonjudicial punishment on May 9, 2005 for two instances of dereliction, including that of allowing dogs to be present during interrogations. He was fined $8000 under the provisions of Article 15 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice (nonjudicial punishment). He also received a General Officer Memorandum of Reprimand (GOMOR) which effectively ends his military career.

Lieutenant Colonel Steven L. Jordan became the highest ranking Army officer to have charges brought against him in connection with the Abu Ghraib abuse on April 29, 2006.[40] Prior to his trial, eight of twelve charges against him were dismissed, two of the most serious after Major General George Fay admitted that he did not read Jordan his rights before interviewing him in reference to the abuses that had taken place. On August 28, 2007, Jordan was acquitted of all charges related to prisoner mistreatment and received a reprimand for disobeying an order not to discuss a 2004 investigation into the allegations.[41]

His abuses included making three prisoners masturbate. He also punched one prisoner so hard in the chest that he needed resuscitation. He was sentenced to eight years in prison, forfeiture of pay, a dishonorable discharge and a reduction in rank to private.[43]
Sergeant Javal Davis pled guilty February 4, 2005 to dereliction of duty, making false official statements and battery. He was sentenced to six months in prison, a reduction in rank to private, and a bad conduct discharge.

Specialist Sabrina Harman was sentenced on May 17, 2005 to six months in prison and a bad conduct discharge after being convicted on six of the seven counts. She had faced a maximum sentence of 5 years.[46]

Specialist Megan Ambuhl was convicted on October 30, 2004, of dereliction of duty and sentenced to reduction in rank to private and loss of a half-month’s pay.[47]

Private First Class Lynndie England was convicted on September 26, 2005, of one count of conspiracy, four counts of maltreating detainees and one count of committing an indecent act. Sergeant Santos Cardona was convicted of dereliction of duty and aggravated assault, the equivalent of a felony in the U.S. civilian justice system. He served 90 days of hard labor at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina. He was transferred to a new unit and was promoted to Sergeant. He is currently assigned to the 23rd MP Company that is presently staged in Kuwait as of November 2006. He has arrived in Kuwait with his unit and has been selected to train Iraqi police.[48]

Specialist Roman Krol pled guilty on February 1, 2005 to conspiracy and maltreatment of detainees at Abu Ghraib. He was sentenced to ten months confinement, reduction in rank to private, and a bad conduct discharge.[49]

      Natalee Holloway
      by Greta Van Susteren
See below….this is a new AP story about the Natalee Holloway case. I am told from a source that this AP information is “recycled” and not new.

We have some new information that we have been working on for 6 months that we will be airing beginning Monday. You will get to decide whether our information is credible or not. I want your input.

As an aside, our new information is NOT similar to what is written below and raises many issues — including why the prosecution in Aruba won’t pursue certain things.

This has been a troubling investigation from the start. In the beginning (summer /fall of 2005) I was completely suspicious of Joran. Who wasn’t? He was the last known person to be with her. At a later point, after interviewing van der Sloot, I said that I was “inclined” to believe Joran van der Sloot. I did not say I believed him. I was careful about my wording. I said I was inclined to believe him. (Of course until the disappearance is solved, everyone in my mind remains a suspect.) His March 06 story to me seemed possibly to be true since the one thing that always stuck in my mind is how short the time line was to murder her and then successfully get rid of her body. I have tried many murder cases and successfully getting rid of the body is not easy…you need time, and sometimes “luck.” I knew the different theories — including that her body had been dumped in the sea by Joran and others — but I had also investigated the tides in the area which tended, with other information to make that theory suspect.

As time marched on, and as more information became available to me, my opinion changed again. I am no longer inclined to believe him. He is a liar. I don’t believe he is innocent. He has told multiple stories and stories that are inconsistent with each other. But despite my view of him, we still need the facts. More importantly Natalee’s mother and father and brother and step parents all deserve to know what happened. Will our program next week do that? I don’t know…you will have to tell me…but I do know one thing, I would be ashamed if I were the prosecutor in Aruba.

By the way …and you may have an opinion about this…I offered to show the current prosecutor what we have since the investigation is open, and an important one. I was also seeking anyway to prove or disprove what I have and figured he would be interested in doing the same. He said he could not come to DC (it would be too time consuming.) I said I would meet him half way in Miami. He said he could not take the time off from work. I then offered him my weekend and said I would use up my weekend to meet him in Miami to show him what we have. He said he does not work weekends and is planning to go on a vacation soon.

Here is the latest AP story which I am told is ‘re-cycled’ —

Aruba police pursue new evidence in Holloway case
By MIKE MELIA – 11 minutes ago
SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) — A new witness has come forward in the 2005 disappearance of American teenager Natalee Holloway in Aruba, and prosecutors said Tuesday they are seeking more evidence against the only remaining suspect.
A woman told Dutch police this month that Joran van der Sloot confessed to her years ago that he was involved in Holloway’s disappearance, according to Ann Angela, a spokeswoman for the Aruba Prosecutors’ Office.
But the Dutch Caribbean island’s chief prosecutor said authorities still lack proof they need to convict Van der Sloot, who has been arrested twice and released for lack of evidence.
“After three years of investigating, it is very, very difficult to find that evidence,” prosecutor Hans Mos told The Associated Press. “We have to be realistic.”
Holloway, an 18-year-old from Mountain Brook, Alabama, was last seen in May 2005 leaving a bar in the Aruban capital Oranjestad with Van der Sloot on the final night of a high school graduation trip to the island. Extensive searches have found no trace of her.
Investigators reopened the case earlier this year based on hidden-camera recordings made by a Dutch TV crime show. On the video, Van der Sloot says Holloway collapsed on the beach after they left the bar and that he called a friend to dump her body at sea.
The new witness, once a friend of Van der Sloot, confirmed that he gave her roughly the same account shortly after Holloway’s disappearance. But Mos said her statement does not bring authorities any closer to resolving the case.
He also said the witness would lack credibility in court unless she explains why she waited so long to come forward.
Attorneys for Van der Sloot did not immediately respond to messages seeking comment and there was no answer at his parents’ home in Aruba.
Van der Sloot was last known to be living in Thailand but his current whereabouts are a “mystery,” Angela said.
Angela said Aruban authorities hope to decide by the end of this year whether to prosecute Van der Sloot or close the case for good.

Does anyone know if or when they will search the waters off Aruba that have been marked for Natalee?

It seems unless Natalee’s remains are recovered the Aruban prosecutor will do nothing.

      So sad.

In all honesty, and sadly I say, I don’t think it would make any difference. This leotard of a kid will never see justice. It should hit him like a freight train out of the dark, but it would be more like a snow flake out of the sky.

Why do we keep going after Joran? We know he was involved but without evidence and witnesses; he is untouchable.

We should be going after Koen and Sanders Gottenbos; who are in Georgia and attending a State college at American Taxpayers’ expense.
Daddy bought Koen a new KIA; wonder how he got the money? Work visas do not come easy; what kind of pull does Aleander have???
Keon is the loose cannon and under pressure will squeal like the big pig he is. Don’t you think it is about time some Southern Gentleman show him some Southern hospitality.
And lets not forget Williem and Geoff van Cromvoirt and Guido Wever in the Netherlands.
By the way just what are these three scum bags up to. Did they finally crawl under the rocks where they belong?

This is of course, not my own list. It comes from Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serial_killer#Characteristics.

Joran fits 85.7 %. It may be higher, but I’ m being lenient. I for example, fit about 7%, and that is only if you consider starting and enjoying campfires with family and friends fascination with fire starting.

Serial killers tend to share the following general characteristics:[9][10]

The majority are single, white males.

They are often very intelligent, with IQs in the “bright
      normal” range.

Despite their high IQs, they do poorly in school, have
trouble holding down jobs, and often work menial jobs.

They tend to come from unstable families.

As children, they are typically abandoned by their fathers
      and raised by domineering mothers.

Their families often have criminal, psychiatric and alcoholic
      histories.

They often are mistrustful of their parents.

As children, they are commonly abused—psychologically,
physically and sexually—by a family member.

Many spend time in institutions as children and have
      records of early psychiatric problems.

They have high rates of suicide attempts.

From an early age, many are intensely interested in
      voyeurism, fetishism, and sadomasochistic pornography.

More than 60 percent wet their beds beyond the age of 12.

Many are fascinated with fire starting.

They are involved in sadistic activity or tormenting small
      creatures.

Dolf 104 & 105, Yes your right. My mistake.

I just do not understand how Abu Graib compares to a friendly safe tourist spot like Aruba.

Crimes take place all over the world. I think the boycot is more about the legal system in Aruba.

The lack of JUSTICE tends to get people a little crazy. Paul works for the Aurban board of tourism. Any Joran Van der Sloot trial would restore Aurba’s past glory.

Peter R. de Vries actions show me the DUTCH people want justice.

      1906,

Really, crossbow doesn’t quite work for me. 1906 seems more fitting.

You have worked very hard on this case. I think under normal circumstances, it would have been rewarded: but as we all know, this is not a normal situation. It is like investing in the stock market with all your hard earned money, and competing against those who have inside information, those inside traders, those cheaters who feel like they deserve the inside edge because off some reason of perceived royalty, unknown to the rest of us.

I feel you can’t invest this much energy into any other case. Investment for a child you never meet, but whom you feel is very worthy.

I don’t know why we even speculated about what happen. We all know that Joran killed Natalee and disposed of her body.

His motivation is purely reptilian in nature. He is a creature of his hormones and has never had any instruction from parents worth two plug nickels.

He feels privileged to indulge in acts that are refused by others, and takes from others even when they guard such virtues with their lives as Natalee did.

And so I end, with this salute to you. I’m so sorry this case is and can never go anywhere. It was doomed from the start by insider trading.

I’m pray for vengeance from the Lord. I know this may not be understood, but my laughter at Joran’s troubles will come very, very slowly. This is biblical. It can be found with great diligence, and your search will be rewarded, maybe you understand. This is not intended in anyway as a hiddenite on my part.
