Aruba does realize that tourism is still their #1 economic money maker, right?
Two tourists were beaten and injured badly at Senor Frogs in Aruba and needed to be transported to the hospital due to their injuries. The injuries and beatings that they suffered were all because they did not have a proper identification. The tourists were beaten by the security guards that works there.
Interestingly enough, wasn’t Joran Van der Sloot underage to drink at Carlos N’ Charlies in 2005 when Joran, Deepak and Satish road off with Natalee Holloway and she was never to be seen again? I do not remember him ever receiving this king of treatment by the security or bouncers. In fact, Aruba knew he was underage and allowed him in casinos and night clubs without any concern. In fact they embraced it. So why is it that tourists would receive a different brand of treatment and justice? Since when does being under age get you a greater beating than, oh … let’s say participating in a homicide?

Bet Natalee and her family would have appreciated if someone had bothered to transport to a hospital rather than dump her body in the ocean. So, this appears to actually be an improvement on Aruba’s previous behavior! Would I want to be a tourist there? NO WAY!
Where are these tourists from? The USA? I hope they file a lawsuit and bring up the fact that Joran was in the casino that night underage with his father and nothing was done to either and he was in Carlos N Charlies underage drinking, buying drinks for himself, the Kalpoes and Natalee.. the rum 151 on the way out.. He also bragged he was in 2 or 3 casinos the next night.
Not that I ever believed he was actually at the casino the night his father called him and sent everyone on a wild goose chase.. but it shows even the father had no fear by saying oh Joran is in this casino ..let’s go there.. with police present and they all went. Anyone knows you would say get home..the cops are here wanting to talk to you.
He also bragged he had a VIP pass to Carlos N Charlies. If they would have enforced the laws and sent security guards after him, Natalee would be home in Alabama. I’ve no doubt about that.
Just like Dennis Jacobs telling Dave to watch his drink, they might drug you. Jacobs knew this was going on or wouldn’t have brought it up to a man in his 40s to watch his drink. How many signs were up warning teenagers of the same thing? Just like Jacobs brought up the fisherman’s huts and the ocean on May 31st to the Kalpoes in their statements, when they didn’t even use that alibi until after June 9th according to Dompig, when they changed their bs holiday inn story and the 2 black guards.
It’s not who or what you are in Aruba, it’s who you know. It has appeared that way for over 3 years.
If they had been females, they could have had all the booze and GHB they could get down. This place is a dangerous, vile dump masquerading as a tourist destination.
SM, why did you not translate the article? The header is a little more provocative than it should be. The article explains what happened and it wasn’t exactly a random beating because of tourists being under aged.

Well, if your carding people at the door like you are suppose to, you just simply turn them away….but to beat up tourists and cause them head injuries….there was no need to touch them at all…but of course Aruba will say it there fault…
I hope the remaining tourists have enough sense not to go back there….

I am writing to you following recent news articles saying that you plan to release in 2009 a film “loosely based” on the disappearance of Natalee Holloway in Aruba in May 2005. As an American who has followed this tragedy since it began, I am concerned that your film might distort known facts or otherwise seek sensationalism at the expense of those people who are seeking a solution.
I would hope that your planned film will concentrate on the hostility, lies, and evasions that Aruba has inflicted upon Natalee’s family since day one. Many concerned people believe that elements of Aruba’s government and law enforcement have conducted a cover-up, apparently to shield certain local persons from prosecution and punishment. Aruba’s own actions make this conclusion likely. Accordingly, some people have discouraged Americans from including Aruba in their tourism plans.
Your actual intentions will be known only through the release of the film. In the meantime, please allow me to make one suggestion. Earlier this year, a group called Texas Equusearch searched waters off Aruba for Natalee’s body. The searches were suspended when pledged money ran out. I understand that there are plans to complete them, but that adequate funding has not yet been secured.
It would be a enormous step forward if your company, which is linking itself to this tragedy, were to encourage donations for this purpose. (Please note that I am not associated with Texas Equusearch in any way.) The Netherlands and Aruba have engaged in mutual finger-pointing over who is in charge of investigating this case, but in neither country have local people taken the lead in helping those seeking answers. You are in a position to do so, and win the gratitude of all those who want justice to prevail. As a concerned citizen, I hope that you will give this idea serious consideration. Finally, I trust that you know of another American missing in the Caribbean: Amy Bradley of Virginia. While on a cruise with her family, she vanished from the ship in March 1998 as it was docking in Curacao. There have been several reported sightings of her since then, including one in which she identified herself by name while in a situation of duress, and her case also remains open.

So far, I haven’t been able to find any reference to this “incident,” as Aruba will call it, in a Yahoo news search. I guess our news people think that the Olympics and the never-ending regurgitated stories about the presidential campaign are more important.

Let’s heed Beth’s original call … boycott not only Aruba, but the whole Netherlands Antilles.

All we’ve heard for 3 years plus is we are working on it..while doing nothing.. AhATA with police files, Joran with his own set of police files.. lying Sloots and Kalpoes, lying friends of the Sloots, lying cops, lying spokespeople.. and then we are working on it..we want the truth to come out.. They knew the truth right from the beginning.
Don’t want to ruin the Kalpoes or Sloots reputation.. we’ve been in the same room having sex with tourists at the same time before, Natalee looked like a slut, Natalee put her hands down my pants, I was trying to throw off an investigation, Paulus came talked to us late but I can’t remember what he told us, Paulus got us lawyers, I asked how the girl was doing, I was fondling Natalee while she was going in and out of conscious, Natalee wanted to go see sharks(yeah right) she fell and hit her head and pushed Joran, two black guys got her, I was shaking the b and she didn’t move, Deepak raped and buried her, Joran raped her i think, Paulus taking his underage son out drinking and gambling, Paulus looking up drugs, alcohol , the effects on young people, lawyers, anita calling a witness over to the house asking him what he told the police, Nadira trying to get her interview back so they wouldn’t show her contradicting her sons timeline, 4 dif ways Joran got home, his missing shoes, Kalpoes cleaning their car for ants, then sand that night, calling a friend to say I can’t tell you what happened over the phone, you might get in trouble, the fact the girl is dead isn’t good. ( Natalee is always that girl or the girl to the Kalpoes or Sloots, they never could address her name is Natalee Holloway , a living breathing 18 year old with a super past and a bright future ahead of her, they always wanted to degrade her to make it look like she was a nobody)Being last seen with Natalee alive and noone seeing her again. 3 guys going out to a bar half hour before closing and moving in on 1 girl, lying about where they took her, lying about everything basically, if they find her body they will see that sh$t, if they find the girl you will get years in jail, if I knew where her body was I would tell you, receiving and making a lot of phone calls at school the day after Natalee is gone, never searching or telling the any truth that would lead anyone close to what happened to Natalee, I got on the computer to establish an alibi time, let 2 men sit in jail for murder and kidnapping, Paulus on tape saying Joran again sneaked out the second night, when his police statement says he gave Joran permission to go out the second night, After all the lies and contradictions Joran claims his father has a bad memory.. Yet he’s an attorney and remembers everything just fine except what he don’t want to.
The phoney letter sent to Paulus from Natalee, who wants to bet that was arranged? It makes me sick people can’t stand up in Aruba and tell these people to get off their butts and talk, too busy protesting a mom looking for her daughter or blaming the victim, while the creeps run free.
I see no HAHAHAHA to it.. Everytime I see the name Aruba, I see a big black blob and the injustice done to Natalee and her family.
If you have been following the Caylee Anthony story , people here are outraged at this mother who has lied, mislead cops, and refuses to cooperate while her 3 year old hasn’t been seen in more than 2 months. She was last seen with her,, We aren’t parading her around like a hero.
I’m surprised they didn’t dump the 2 tourists on the beach and tell them not to file a report or they might miss their flight home.

All these comments from people who have never even been to Aruba. It’s just so sickening to hear and read all this. Been a American Tourist who’s been coming here now for over 15 years, with my 2 daughters who are 21 and 24. What I read here is just plain stupidity from all of you. Aruba has been the island with the most returning tourists from USA in the whole Caribbean.
Ok what these bouncers did was no good of course I agree on that. But to say that they are on drugs and beat up people all the time is a bit far sought in my opinion. I have been to Sr Frogs and it is a fun place to hang out.

I actually have been to aruba. I bet none of you have. Bad things happen to tourists everywhere. Have any of you ever been to NYC? I have been to both places and believe me, NYC is more threatening. You people can’t just sit at home and judge a place you just hear about from US news. They love making a big deal about these small things to get you people to do this. Nice job in following the rules.
