What Does Barack Obama, Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr. & Trinity United Church of Christ Have against Natalee Holloway?

I thought we were all God’s children … Obama_REV

First we have Democratic Presidential candidate John Edwards and his divisive Two America’s, now we have Barack Obama and his support for a most controversial and divisive Reverend.

When one runs for President, they are supposed to represent all the people. Not just some, not just a section of the US and not just those who agree with you. The President is supposed to represent “We the People.” So why does Democratic candidate Barack Obama seem to put forth a mixed message? Imagine if the roles were reversed and a white Presidential candidate associated themselves with such a person?

Presidential candidate Barack Obama preaches on the campaign trail that America needs a new consensus based on faith and bipartisanship, yet he continues to attend a controversial Chicago church whose pastor routinely refers to “white arrogance” and “the United States of Whiter America.”

In some respects its not even mixed, its rather straight forward as seen by Obama’s association with the controversial Reverend Jeremiah Wright Jr. at Trinity United Church of Christ on the South Side of Chicago. Obama has been a regular attendee of this church since the 1980’s. Trinity United Church bears the motto “Unashamedly Black and Unapologetically Christian.”

So what does Barack Obama have against Natalee Holloway and missing persons? Should not they all be searched for and found? When was the last time Obama took part in a search or even cared to talk about missing persons as a platform?

Maybe someone needs to ask Presidential wannbe Barack Obama et al why they have a problem with Natalee Holloway. What did she do to them? They claim to be Christian. Isn’t everyone God’s child … white, black and otherwise? Why would anyone associate with something that is so divisive when they would need the support of all people?

Natalee Holloway 2

Wright on the disappearance of Natalee Holloway: “Black women are being raped daily in Africa. One white girl from Alabama gets drunk at a graduation trip to Aruba, goes off and gives it up while in a foreign country and that stays in the news for months.” (News Max)

These guys would complain about air time when the MSM provides all the time Obama wants to discuss anything?  Barack and Rev. Wright, are not all people worth saving … white, black, yellow, pink and orange? You would associate yourself with someone who makes disparaging remarks of others in an effort to divide white and black America? Natalee Holloway and her family have done nothing to you  to deserve these comments.

Maybe you should stop complaining and do something about helping your own people instead of blaming it on “White” America. This is hardly the manner to fix a perceived problem, it’s how one causes division. Coming up with solutions to problems is what makes a good President, not blaming others. I guess you are far from Presidential material.

Wow, I thought he was a good guy…and maybe even a good candidate. Not now. He just lost my vote. He keeps that attitude up and he won’t have a chance.

      Stupidity Plus Platinum Card.

I am concerned about all missing people,
no matter the color, gender, or
      or religion.

    3. Libby on August 9th, 2007 10:02 am

Exactly, Carpe, it shouldn’t matter who they are, what color they are or what sex they are. They are missing and families are hurting.

Natalee caught so much attention because of the blatant cover up…not because she white.

      He is an idiot!

    4. Joran Vandersloot raped her on August 9th, 2007 10:02 am

Not to worry. No one Dems or Gop will ever vote for a NAACP bigot. He will never win the Dem nomation.

I don’t know if Mr. Obama can google
FORD Heights Illinois…..this town of people is all but abandoned by the very people who claim to help people. Ford Heights Illinois poorest in the nation. Representative Jesse Jackson Jr.
Mr. Emil Jones of Chicago. The are not enuff votes in Ford Heights for them to care about. So they will not help the very people who need help.

      It’s all about the votes.
Do you now think any Pakestan’s will vote for Obama?

What ever gets them in front of the camera or crowd is what they will latch on to, inlcuding Natalee Holloway. My vote will not go to Obama, H
He portrayed himself as a war monger.

I have never liked Barak OBama. Maybe it’s his intials, BO…he just stinks!

Certainly glad he’s showing his lying manipulative anti-christ self true colors before it’s too late. This man is a phoney and an emotional player with many grudges to avenge. Me no likey one bit!

As for that preacher’s remarks about Natalee…WOW! He might as well so shack up with ALE and all those others (including rapists) who think women ‘get what they deserve’. I’m sick over that statement!

Natalee Holloway may have thrown a few back, but she was inherantly a nice respectable girl and an honorable person who some asshole committed FRAUD against to get her to go off with him! Natalee did not make a conscious choice or even an inibriated choice to go off with some jerk like Joran really is. She went off with a person whom she thought was an OK upstanding guy!

That’s right. Joran pretended to be quiet and shy, helpful and disinterested even in that sexual jello shot, when we all know -if only from his book- that he is an outrageous vicious vindictive lying hateful asshole. If he’d have let any of the MB girls see that side of him, Natalee would not have given him the time of day and she would be with her family alive and well as I type!

Damn you to hell, Rev. Wright!…and take all those with you who would place a good person like Natalee beneath-or even alongside- scum like Joran!

    9. Freebrid on August 9th, 2007 10:49 am

Obama just made the mistake of his life! I will fight tooth and nail to make sure he loses! This is a disgrace!! And Mr Wright instead of talking about the women who are being raped in Africa why don’t you go over their and help them and take Obama with you!! If a Rudy would have said something like this about a missing black woman I’m sure Al & Jesse would have been all over him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, these posts may not be racism, but they do support the basic point of Rev Wrights statements. In a limited world, (news coverage is limited, attention is limited, political attention is limited) what gets covered is a choice. The choice to spend more time on a missing girl (it is a tragedy, it was covered up, not minimizing any of that) receives more attention than the death of thousands of others. It is not necessarily even overseas deaths. There were about 600 murders in Chicago last year. Per capita that is close to the number in the Israel/Palestinian fight each year. There were more than 20 on school grounds murders in Chicago last year. There are many other stories that are equally or more tragic. What Rev Wright was saying, is that the choice by reporters to report on something does have a value.

But on the other hand you can choose to believe that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction (currently 50% of the public do) or that Obama is Muslim (about 27% of the public does) or that Bush was responsible for 9/11 (about 9 percent of the public does.) Believing in something and telling people that it is true does not make it truth.

    12. Libby on August 9th, 2007 11:25 am

Freebird, you got that right…if Rudy…or anyone for that matter would have made a statement like that about a black woman, Jesse and pals would have been all over that…and would have made sure the media was all over it. It is ridiculous. He is an anti-Christ and bigot!

    13. Libby on August 9th, 2007 11:29 am

Wow….I am sooooo glad he showed his true colors before voting time. I am launching a campaign against him now. I really bought into his act. I thought he was a good man.

    18. Richard on August 9th, 2007 12:05 pm

By the way, Mr. Obama, aren’t we supposed to be concerned when a foreign government takes part in covering up a crime against an American citizen?

Or isn’t it politically correct to be concerned for the safety of our own people at home and abroad?

    19. Person on August 9th, 2007 12:08 pm

3- Natalee Holloway gained so much coverage in the first few months, due to the fact that she was white/female/petite/pretty, we didn’t know that much about a cover-up at that time.

    20. EG on August 9th, 2007 12:21 pm

I’d like to ask the Right Reverend Wright whether Stepha Henry deserves to be missing simply because she, like Natalee, might have tossed back a few…. She’s a perfect example of a beautiful, educated young black woman with a brilliant career and her whole life in front of her. Last I checked, Tim Miller and TES launched an extensive search for her.

The search for the missing and endangered is not a racial or religious issue. Natalee’s family and friends continue to launch an all out effort to find answers. Rachel Cookes family and friends continue to keep her name out there and the focus on finding answers, after so many years even Gayle Marks mother continues her search through her web page, letter writing campaigns and more.

Like the rest of you, my respect for Mr. Obama has just taken an irreversible downward spiral. Mr. Obama, Rev. Wright, you should be ashamed of yourselves. Why can’t you simply care about ALL missing people ? In what context is the rape of African women related to the search for missing people ?

    21. LilPuma on August 9th, 2007 12:22 pm

“Wright on the disappearance of Natalee Holloway: “Black women are being raped daily in Africa. One white girl from Alabama gets drunk at a graduation trip to Aruba, goes off and gives it up while in a foreign country and that stays in the news for months.” (News Max)”

Obama is my Senator. I voted for him. I’ll write to him about this. Rev. Wright’s implication that this “white girl gave it up” while black women are being raped is about as infuriating as anything I’ve heard in this case. Based on his recent comments about Pakistan and his association with Rev. Wright, I’d say Obama has a lot to learn and he won’t get my vote again.

    30. brie on August 9th, 2007 1:38 pm

That was a direct hit to stir up racism…..and we’re sick of it….OB and Wright can head straight for Africa and stay there on their campaign and crusade…..African women and children are raped every day by the black man…..go educate your black men on how to treat the women and children that are abused daily….our own jails are 75% full of black people that commit crimes and offend society and the laws everyday, so don’t pull up the black card…..if you want coverage……turn on your TV….it’s there every single day….I fell sorry for the black folks that try hard and work hard… only to be disgraced by their own race.

If they wanted to bring up Natalee, they sure missed an important part, two of their black brothers could of gone to prison for something they didn’t do…..where’s the thank you….instead ….they tried to make it a racism issue….talk about f~~~~d up!!!!!

    36. Patti on August 9th, 2007 2:07 pm

I’m usually very liberal when it comes to issues regarding the NAACP and the black churches; but I am appauled by the remark made by Rev. Wright. I agree with the person above that made the distinction between “being raped” and “giving it up”. Obviously he has not a clue about Ms. Natalee Holloway nor the issues surrounding the case. He simply used this topic as, yet, another topic through which to voice his hatred for the white race.

There is a difference between black pride and black supremists. True Black Pride doesn’t have to brag nor complain. How can he call his church “unashamably black” when he says things that would make any true black Christian ashamed.

It’s too late for BO to distance himself from this man. Birds of a feather flock together.

    37. mayan_moons on August 9th, 2007 2:29 pm

Oprah propped Obama’s ass up as a presidential hopeful last year and after reading him saying
“Natalee just gave it up in a foreign land” i’d like to ask her what she thinks of that most disrespectful remark about a girl Aruba admitted was murdered and then retracted it.

Wonder what Obama thinks of the accuser in the Duke case where she’s got the semen from 5 or 6 guys all over and in her & goes to strip some more without taking a shower for pete’s sake.

The history is about the corruption of a goverment. Do any of you remember Tawanda and Sharpeton?

So I am wondering, OB wants to go after Pakestan, could that be because his middle name is Hussen?

OBTW, how many white crusaders have gone to Africa to educate the black men raping the black girls, oh I see that won’t get any “air time”.
How bout feed the children, is that headed by people other than blacks?

I recall that the black men would not even wear condoms to prevent the spread of aids?

Carpe, Joran’s got the blinking, shifting eyes, very difficult for him to keep eye contact on focusing toward someone who is asking him questions. I’ve seen in a lot interviews that he will stop and not be able to finish a sentence, also his fake smile, generally a sincere smile will show in the eyes, the uplift of the cheeks and teeth are shown, he keeps his mouth closed. There are many more things he does and says that is a direct indication of lying.

Also Paulus, profuse sweating….looks like he is standing over hot coals….well, I guess he is!!!!

The reason Natalee’s case stayed in the

Stop fondling your pocket buddy and find

Wright on the disappearance of Natalee Holloway: “Black women are being raped daily in Africa. One white girl from Alabama gets drunk at a graduation trip to Aruba, goes off and gives it up while in a foreign country and that stays in the news for months.”

Glad Rev. Wright knows Natalee was drunk and had sex, that being said if she goes off and gives it up voluntarily, why is she missing at sunup? Answer that Mr. Wright. The main suspect says she wasn’t drunk. Why is a minister complaining because a missing person , any missing person is in the news? Mr. Wright and Obama need to take a lesson from Natalee’s family, go out there and put your money where your mouth is. Do something about the raping of African women in Africa.

What a way to get publicity by degrading a family who has strived day after day to keep what was done to their daughter in the news. No they would rather sit in their comfy offices and just complain. Obama has really turned me off this time. Less than a million viewers watched the dem.debate on msnbc.

Mr Wright is a minister of what faith? That remark he made is racist and slander of a victim. I hope he’s held accountable. Imus can’t make his remarks or Sharpton and Jackson is all over the air and this guy can make these kind of remarks about someone he has no clue about?

He needs to grow up and apologize to Natalee’s family and stop acting like a BLACK US Presidential hopeful……. we Americans come in all colors and we all vote.

    50. Patti on August 9th, 2007 4:17 pm

I agree with Miss U. The Natalee Holloway case has nothing to do with the rapes that go on in Africa. A rape is a rape and it’s true that there are injustices, especially against women, in Africa… and babies, too. If he really wants to talk about those problems, then talk about them, but he doesn’t have to spit venom at the white race in the process. Many of us are aware of the sexual crimes going on in Africa and are just as concerned as he. Who wouldn’t be concerned about babies being raped by grown men in the belief that it will cure them of A.I.D.S. or the number of girls being castrated, basically, mutilated sexually so they will never come to enjoy its’ pleasure?

If there should be any lines drawn, they should be drawn between the educated and the uneducated or, perhaps, the knowing and unknowing… Rev. Wright just showed the whole world his own ignorance. His comment about giving it up, definately shows his feelings toward women as castration is commonly used to keep women from “giving it up” as they are robbed of one of the gifts that we all receive from God… the ability to enjoy “mutual” pleasure.

IF he wants a forum to talk about the problems of the women of Africa, then come on with it. He’d get plenty of contributions and sympathy from white America… but please, don’t insult us with the same mind set that causes the problems in the first place.

    51. Miss-Undestimated on August 9th, 2007 4:24 pm

      Frank

That won’t get em in the news. How about really helping people. How about they go to Ford Heights Illinois and help the elderly people that are stuck in a neighborhood so poor they don’t even have a full time police department. Black on Black crime, the young wiping out the young, that don’t get them in front of a camera.

    52. Patti on August 9th, 2007 4:39 pm

      Reverend Wright:

The story of the uncastorated girl who was a virgin, by choice, shall remain in the news for many months more.

Maybe if you treated your women better you wouldn’t have to castorate them to keep them from running off in the first place.

Wright married BO and his wife Michelle in 1992 at his trinity church in Chicago. BO’s estranged father was of Muslim decent. The middle name of Hussein is a name slogan to proclaim loyalty to Iraq.

I personally never would of voted for him anyway…but I must say some of his speeches were impressive, but who were they written by…..those of I’m sure, we wouldn’t want making decisions concerning our country…..I would never trust that man or any of the people he associates with…..who knows what’s in his back-pocket…

If I were to join this church, would it make me a racist? Here is their doctrine:
Trinity United Church of Christ adopted the White Value System written by the Manford Byrd Recognition Committee chaired by Vallmer Jordan in 1981. We believe in the following 12 precepts and covenantal statements. These White Ethics must be taught and exemplified in homes, churches, nurseries and schools, wherever Whites are gathered. They must reflect on the following concepts:
      1.Commitment to God
      2.Commitment to the White Community
      3.Commitment to the White Family
4.Dedication to the Pursuit of Education
5.Dedication to the Pursuit of Excellence
6.Adherence to the White Work Ethic
      7.Commitment to Self-Discipline and Self-Respect
8.Disavowal of the Pursuit of “Middleclassness”
9.Pledge to make the fruits of all developing and acquired skills available to the White Community
10.Pledge to Allocate Regularly, a Portion of Personal Resources for Strengthening and Supporting White Institutions
11.Pledge allegiance to all White leadership who espouse and embrace the White Value System
12.Personal commitment to embracement of the White Value System.

You know where I am going with this.
I personally do not believe Obama is racist. Every candidate will be “6 degreed” from now till the primaries. Gotta love presidential politics – this one’s gonna be reallllly ugly. Should be good entertainment.
      Good posts patti, btw.

Who really cares? He didn’t even say these things. It was the reverend of his church. Guess what people? I don’t always agree with the things my reverend says. People are entitled to a free mind. He is not an extention of his minister. George Bush visited Bob Jones University to try to garner votes. Does that make him a segregationist? No. He is allowed to think for himself. I guess all of you agree with all the people that you associate with. If so, you must be a terribly boring bunch.

      JusticeforNatalee,
I’ve sent email to the Rev. Wrong.

    61. Patti on August 9th, 2007 6:10 pm

Thank you, Yo Yo. It is a real compliment
      coming from you.

I appreciate the posting of the 12 precepts and I agree with you. I don’t think that Obama is a racist either. The statement wasn’t made by him but, rather, his reverend. Maybe he thought that the humor would be acceptable and didn’t mean anything by it. People that aren’t used to being in the limelight often, without meaning to, say insulting things.

I for one would accept his apology, but it makes me wonder… is Obama more interested in helping the U.S. or Africa? Certainly, he should be interested in helping both, but not to the detriment of his own people.

Yo Yo – You would not be a racist if you adhered to the value system… perhaps more whites need to adhere to that system, as well. Racism is a burning hatred of the heart and there is only one thing that can put that fire out, the one in which the fire burns.

We should be proud of our race but loving to one another… isn’t that the White Value System?

    63. Patti on August 9th, 2007 6:29 pm

      Blogger – CRACK ME UP!!!!!

If in doubt – Blame Joran and Paulus!

For some reason there are those that are totally unfamiliar with the case of Natalee Holloway and perhaps to them, it would seem strange that this case would remain in the news as long as it has… over two years. And when you think about all the cases that have come and gone it is humbling to know that somehow, perhaps through the power of God, himself, the case has been kept alive and in the minds of people.

Some joke about it, and although it is upsetting, as you can see by my reaction, it is, truly, a testament to the dedication that so many people, including Scared Monkeys (although, all the ones that I have met don’t act like scaredy cats) have put into keeping it alive and in the hearts and minds of people.

Patti #61 – there should not be a “white value” system, imo. American yes, white or black no. But I actually do not have too much of a problem with the precepts of Obama’s church – after all only a short 40yrs ago the “whites” made the “blacks” drink from separate fountains. 40yrs ain’t that long. Double standard, maybe, but it takes generations to heal what we did (imo). Getting closer to healing, but no there yet…

#59 – Don’t worry, everyone will get their turn. Bright side is that it’s early – these obscure associations are much more devastating when played out a couple of weeks before voting. He’s still a very viable candidate.

    71. Patti on August 9th, 2007 7:05 pm

      But, Brie…

What makes the difference? Shouldn’t a black man be allowed to adopt his own way? What makes the white way the right way? Are they intolerant because of crimes that they have committed against society or are they intolerant because they take pride in their culture?

I want a president who puts us first, but also one that can address the problems within the African continent, as well as Asia, etc. But especially the African continent as their problems are massive. All of Africa, from South Africa up to the Sahara and into the Middle East is a hot zone intrenched with war, starvation and disease. What pure American wouldn’t want these problems to be addressed?

    76. yoyo muffintop on August 9th, 2007 7:33 pm

    77. Smish on August 9th, 2007 7:44 pm

    79. Patti on August 9th, 2007 7:48 pm

I think the Reverend owes everyone an apology. Perhaps he can write one of his sermons and read it on “Good Morning America” and let the whole world know what a putz he is.

way the world turns – if you make an error, HIDE!

    80. Allan Kl on August 9th, 2007 8:16 pm

Between the Reverends prejudice and biased views he hasn’t a clue what the truth is. Obama attends this church which means he is in favor of some of the biased views.

imogene; Do YOU know without looking. I have to admit there is a 13 year old black girl that was two weeks away from delivering a child right around Christmas. I admit I do not remember her name. But that was five years ago and I just mentioned to my wife we have never heard anything further. The father was a pastor of a radical assembly of god type of church. He and the rest of the family have sinced moved. I still think the father (reverend) had something to do with his daughter’s disappearance. Yes I’m white but I have feelings and wonder if (she?) will ever have closure. Apparently the parents had no further interest. I am friends with a few
officers and they still believe the father did it but have no evidence. Yes; I still pray for her.

      Abraham Lincoln:
“If we shall suppose that American slavery is one of those offenses which, in the providence of God, must needs come, but which, having continued through His appointed time, He now wills to remove, and that He gives to both North and South this terrible war as the woe due to those by whom the offense came, shall we discern therein any departure from those divine attributes which the believers in a living God always ascribe to Him? Fondly do we hope, fervently do we pray, that this mighty scourge of war may speedily pass away. Yet, if God wills that it continue until all the wealth piled by the bondsman’s two hundred and fifty years of unrequited toil shall be sunk, and until every drop of blood drawn with the lash shall be paid by another drawn with the sword, as was said three thousand years ago, so still it must be said “the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.”

To all the morons who can’t stand it that Natalee’s story got so much air time:

It’s not even anywhere close to a realistic argument to suggest preferential media bias in covering missing persons.

Not all families of missing persons WANT media attention. Often times they just don’t want their dirty laundry dragged out in public or to be scutinized and talked about endlessly days on end. And we all know that’s a chance we take when we go public with our lives even by using the media to help find missing loved ones. Some people can’t handle that heat.

Also, some people’s lives are too hectic and demanding to take the time to keep doing interviews on the news shows.

I won’t banter on, just think before you open your stupid one track minds to voice. Or maybe you’re not really as stupid as you sound and you just like to dig at Natalee’s family and at Natalee which proves my point above…some families don’t choose to subject themselves to ignorant people who hurt them more when having a loved one missing is hurt enough.

Karma’s gonna gitcha! Just you wait and see.

Yeah… I think I was having a bad day. That was the first time that I saw the video of the rocks and the tortured, dead body of a beautiful young lady lying against the rocks and bushes with blood streaming down her back and into the crevices of her skin at her waist.

I still see it, Cybil or no Cybil.

Im still so angry that this father of 4 daughters could speak such filth and if this is what is being fed into BOs mind or lack of, than I say we BOYCOTT him. Its a sorry day in America when this kind of blatent racism can come out of a mouth that represents God… Dispicable and if I was Beth or Dave I would SUE his sorry butt.

I am a member of TES and I am also involved in fighting human trafficking (so I know a bit about those victims in Africa the good Reverend spoke of).

I’ve seen this kind of thing a lot, and it all boils down to this in my humble opinion: people who say things like this see everything as a race issue, plain and simple.

and that so called Reverend WOW what a poor excuse for a man supposedly of GOD ! Ill bet that GOD doesn’t blame Natalee and neither should any one else .

    130. Richard on August 10th, 2007 2:06 pm

Once again, we’re yelling and screaming at each other. Our proper target is, or should be, the government of Aruba. Let’s keep that in focus.

It was said above that the water search has been postponed for a month or two. Once again … if those people who believe that they know where Natalee is, prove to be wrong, then what?

    131. Dan in Tx on August 10th, 2007 3:22 pm

Honey catches more flies than vinegar, Vicki. If anyone sends the Reverend polite and thoughtful letter about his transgressions, he is more likely to read it and think about it than a hateful, vitriolic letter that he’ll throw away after the first two sentences.

The analogy really isn’t exact here, but something akin to the parable of salt and light.

    132. Patti on August 10th, 2007 3:43 pm

      Richard:

I agree with you but racism is an explosive issue. That’s why it was injected into the Natalee Holloway case through the lies that were told by the suspects. I, honestly, think that they were instructed to say those things. ie. saying that Natalee asked if the Kalpoes were Joran’s slaves and claiming that her mother was related to Hitler hits nerves on both sides of the fence. The Dutch hated Hitler.

I, honestly, think that the reverend is uninformed of the issues regarding Natalee Holloway and the government cover-up and was trying to make a point that there are numerous, sexual crimes being executed against women in Africa. He was complaining that the crimes against women in Africa doesn’t get enough press. The sad truth is that none of the crimes against women and children get enough press.

I wish only to remind him that it has been through the hard work of the loving mother of Natalee Ann Holloway that this crime continues to be in the press. Seeking justice, whether for a woman on vacation in Aruba or a helpless girl in Africa takes time, dedication and love. He should applaud the efforts of Natalee’s family in not giving up.

We pray for our sisters in Africa and all victims of violent crime and sexual exploitation everywhere.

    133. mayan_moons on August 10th, 2007 3:47 pm

Dan why has the deep sea search been postponed? I think everyone wants to know the reason behind it…..like i wanna know right now if the Aruban’s/Dutch National’s are protesting or stalling the search in any way. If you know.

With all their dirty little secrets in Aruba, it sure does make one question on if and how many more….could be….some cases maybe never even made to the press because it came to an immediate stop with the ALE….if the Twitty’s and Holloway’s hadn’t of gone to Aruba with the help of our FBI….we wouldn’t of even found out what we know today….

I know we have a boycott but sometimes I think I want to go and plaster posters all over that island….Where’s Natalee, Straaten has seen the evidence!….. He’s the main person responsible for the cover-up, how you can go day after day and keep silent when you know what Natalee’s family is going through….and you continue to protect those responsible….a psychopath and a lying hole of a father…..

      The fact remains:::::
      Four left Carlos and Charlie’s
      Three made it home.
      Natalee did not,
      Where is Natalee?

Beth has claimed from day one that Paulus Van der Sloot stated on the morning of May 31, 2005 in front of his residence that he had driven to McDonalds at 4:00 AM on the morning that Natalee went missing to pick up Joran and ?. This info was recorded in her journal, and witnessed by all others at the Van der Sloot residence that night. Within two and half weeks of that encounter, Paulus Van der Sloot denied Beth’s claims and insisted that he had stated that he had picked up Joran at 11:00 PM on the evening of Mar 29, 2005.
My guess it was not the McDonalds in Noord at 11:00PM but the one in Santa Cruz at 4:00AM: after he, Joran was dropped of there by the Kalpoes on their way home from Lorenzo’s????
Hooiberg is a stone’s throw from Santa Cruz.
Perhaps Natalee was there when Joran was picked up.
Notice how all the lies take us away from:
Noord, Montana, Seveneta, Hooiberg, Santa Cruz the incinerator in San Nicolas and the mine shafts in Seroe Cristal (Black Crystal)

I’ll have to admit, this is a weird stretch. To link Obama with the Natalee case is strange indeed. A straight FP on Obama, or Clinton or whomever doesn’t get many posts but link it to Natalee, and you’ve created a THREAD!
I’d like to see a FP on how the Bush admin has left Natalee’s family on the cold.
Many of us has wondered why our gov’t has turned a blind eye against the rape and murder of a young promising American young lady.
Instead of trying link political candidates to 6 ways of Kevin Bacon, shouldn’t we be asking our current president why his administration isn’t putting pressure to bear on this 3rd world country so dependant on the American $$ — where is Natalee?

An answer to #133 about the deep water search. It has been delayed because the owner of the boats is now using them for his business. Tim’s other search delayed the use of the boat and its now not available. The owner is buying a new boat partly for this search and getting it outfitted and I believe Tim will get to be the first to use it.

Thanks Susan. I can’t believe this man is a preacher, a preacher of blame and hate. Where is the Lord in his words? We all at times lose it and say things we regret then we have to ask forgiveness and repent. I was angry at first when I looked at the article, but now I feel sorry for Mr. Wright. God wants us to live a life of peace; an example would be my brother Dave Holloway. Do you think anything at all pertaining to Aruba; the way he was treated, and answers about Natalee has been fair for Dave? Do you see him striking out in hate? NO WAY. He has not been perfect, but you can say he is truly a Godly man. I hope we can all live life the way it is meant to be lived. Hope you have a nice day……..Steve Holloway

    163. katablog on August 11th, 2007 12:01 pm

I’m amazed that some of you appear to be defending Rev. Wright. And yes, I do indeed differ with some things the minister at my church might say or do, but I guarantee you that if he said something so outlandishness and racist as the statements by Wright, I would be out of that church and never return.

Why was 9/11 a wake up call to “White America”? Black Americans were also killed in 9/11.

How on earth can Rev. Wright have any clue that black women are raped in Africa by Natalee “gave it up”? Doesn’t he care about black women raped in every country? Why does he dare to judge Natalee?

Wright is a divider and a racist. I don’t want my President believing he owes one sector of Americans more allegiance than another. The president is suppose to be for all Americans.

While I’m not a democrat, I thought BO was an “interesting” candidate, lacking experience, but at least with some good ideas – until lately. His statements in debates along with these statements by the minister of a church he continues to attend really scare me that someone with those ideals could get so close to the presidency.

I don’t care what religion he is – Mitt Romney is a Mormon and while I don’t support his religion, I support him. What I care about is his beliefs and I’m now convinced that BO is a racist and a danger to the US.

    164. disgustedmom on August 11th, 2007 12:07 pm

Mr. Wright’s statement was not only insensitive, it was racist. Yet it’s funny how when anyone protests WE get branded a racist.

The thing with the black racists is that unless you make white people out to be racists, you are a racist. No one is supposed to call a spade a spade or even talk about blacks and whites as equals, and I’m so overly tired of this mindset that so often creates racism where none really exists.

Mr Preacher Man, if he wanted to make a point about black women being raped in Africa, did not need to make any comparison to anywhere else or toward any ONE person. He most certainly did NOT need to use a WHITE girl as a comparison. Black women being raped daily in Africa is a problem all in itself that can stand entirely alone in its travesty without comparison to give it importance. Comparison only relegates some instances as a higher priority than others, but ALL RAPING IS EQUALLY BAD so why make comparisons?

But you see, Mr Racist Preacher Man could not possibly lay the entire blame for black women being raped daily on other blacks; he had to add in that polarizing White factor to blame the world instead, as if to say “You crackers only care about your own”. As if, IF whities cared about blacks being raped in Africa it would stop.

      News Flash!

Raping is not going to stop until rapists have their testicles hacked off! It’s a mindset that has no bearing on race or social standing. It’s a mindset of disrespect for females, often even a hatred for them.

Mr Racist Black Man Preacher proves by his remarks that he thinks a low percentage of rape going on is OK. That’s the same attitude many of Aruba and Joran’s fans have come up with. Just one girl! So what?

I’ll tell you, so what? All problems start with ONE then when ignored or devalued gives rise to TWO and THREE until it snowballs out of control, and that is what happened on Aruba when they made assumptions about Natalee stereotyped as ALL females are nymphomaniacs especialy after drinking. Yep, that’s what happens as they see it…a girl drinks and the next thing she starts to think about is screwing some guy’s eyeballs out!

But by and large that mindset is made up by men who want sex no matter if they have to rape to get it. They convince themselves that when a girl says, No, she’s making a challenge for them while really meaning, yes but I want to you to rape me for it.

Back to Africa though….those men don’t even care if they make more and more babies they can’t take care of. Something is wrong with their sense of humanity over there…and I won’t go so far as to say it is an isolated problem only in Africa. It’s not! But first and foremost PEOPLE need to concern themselves with HUMANITY as a whole and just stop with the blaming one skin color or one gender for their own inability to control their sexual urges!

Maybe we should send the males in Africa some X-boxes to play with so they’ll get off that other sort of box… LOL…and take their aggressions out on some video games.

      Right, dm.

It is always JUST A GIRL, or not that big
of a problem-o!!! That stuff only happens
to other people on the news, right?

Then, you get a ring at your front door… and that ‘just a girl’ … happened to be ‘JUST YOUR GIRL’ today.

      Examples: Natalee, Kelsey, Kara, Stepha,
      Paige, Lisa, & Channon

…and then it hits you like a brick wall.

All of sudden, it ain’t so friggin’ knee slappin’ hysterical anymore. In fact, it got very unfunny, really fast for some reason.

THANK YOU MR. HOLLOWAY for answering my question. It’s a relief to know that the delay in the deep sea water search is due to logistics on our side and not the meddling and stalling tactics the Aruban’s/Dutch Nataional’s are known for.

    167. mayan_moons on August 11th, 2007 1:46 pm

The Aruban/Dutch like to use racial tensions to stir the pot and deflect the real issue in this case and that issue is gender bias. The way the Dutch have women behind store front glass for sale…..grown men of the country making a living off the back’s of women and the thumbs up for drugging young women & little girls on Aruba say it all about what they think of the female gender.

    168. mayan_moons on August 11th, 2007 1:51 pm

Aruban’s were just fine letting the 2 black men take the rap for killing Natalee so please…..don’t come here & call us racsist’s coz it makes you look very foolish.

Carpe said…”Then, you get a ring at your front door… and that ‘just a girl’ … happened to be ‘JUST YOUR GIRL’ today.”

So right! I guess Anita can’t empathize with that though since she doesn’t have a girl for that to happen to.

Some of us though, who truely care about others, don’t have to have a girl of our own to know ‘one girl’ is important.

And Mayan…you are right on too with, ” The Aruban/Dutch like to use racial tensions to stir the pot and deflect the real issue in this case and that issue is gender bias. The way the Dutch have women behind store front glass for sale…..grown men of the country making a living off the back’s of women and the thumbs up for drugging young women & little girls on Aruba say it all about what they think of the female gender.”

The women of Aruba apparently feel honored to have men see them as a piece of meat, too. The men only get away with it because the women let them.

    170. Richard on August 11th, 2007 2:38 pm

In re the water search, please keep in mind:

It is the obligation and duty of the Dutch and of Aruba to do this in the first place. More than two years later, and our own government still is indifferent to the blatant cover-up in Natalee’s case.

I only wish that some of the innumerable candidates for the presidential election next year were hammering this point home, night after night, demanding that our government take action to uphold the interests of an American family.

Instead, we hear only the contemptible garbage that “rich white girls” somehow don’t matter as much as the citizens of other countries.

Let’s not throw insults at each other … but let’s do what we can to point out that our own government is doing nothing (as far as we can see) in this case.

Maybe some candidate will figure out that letting the rights of ANY American be swept under the rug by a foreign government is an injustice to EVERY American and to ALL Americans.

And isn’t ours the country where everyone is supposed to be equal before the law? So let’s put out this message: the rights of ALL of us are sacred.

And if we won’t speak out to protect the rights of all of us in the face of a hostile foreign government … then who will?

Sorry that I’m not able to post as often as I had been doing, but my computer is in storage in Vermont and I am in Denver, where it is HOT.

      Disgusted Mom:

Respectfully, I assure you, I was not drinking.

      Mayan #167:

I agree. The issue is gender bias and the issues that I was raising in response to the Reverned’s comment was, precisely, dealing with gender bias:

Wright on the disappearance of Natalee Holloway: “Black women are being raped daily in Africa. One white girl from Alabama gets drunk at a graduation trip to Aruba, goes off and gives it up while in a foreign country and that stays in the news for months.” (News Max)

His statement is FULL of gender bias and my reaction to his statement, I believe, explained why. In Muslim culture, it is customary to attempt to circumcise young girls and women in an attempt to keep them from “running off” or seeking out sexual pleasure. This procedure is done in and attempt to reduce their libido or desire to have sexual relations. Ususally what results is a total mutilation or castration of the sexual organ.

This issue has been raised by several human rights groups and some girls and women have seeked assylum in the United States as well as other countries to avoid the mutilation. The fact that he speaks of Natalee as a girl who runs off and gives it up was disturbing because it reminded me of the mind set that is often used to suggest this procedure to families, especially, fathers in the Muslim religion.

Here are a couple links that talk about the religious standards that they base the act another that talks about the numbers of girls and women that are being subjected to this violent act and the effects.

      http://www.religioustolerance.org/fem_cirm.htm

      http://www.nocirc.org/symposia/first/badawi.html

I hope they work for you.

In closing I would like to say that rape is not just a sexual act, it’s an act of power and control. I believe Beth when she says that her daughter was a virgin. The problem that I find with the statement by Reverend Wright is that he assumes too much. He suggests that any sexual act between Natalee and the perpetrator(s) was concentual. The whole idea behind sexual mutilation is the assumption that women will be controlled by their human sexual desires instead of their spiritual values. The point that I was trying to make is that women, just like their counterparts, can practice abstanance without being butchered. Natalee was a good example of that.

He does, indeed, owe the family of Natalee Ann Holloway an apology. She was raised a Christian and lived according to her convictions.

      Justice for Natalee

I was not going to post on this issue anymore; but I’m sorry I have to. I don’t believe I am a bigot. I have a black daughter-in-law and a tremendously smart and extremely cute black grand-daughter.

“Wright on the disappearance of Natalee Holloway: “Black women are being raped daily in Africa. One white girl from Alabama gets drunk at a graduation trip to Aruba, goes off and gives it up while in a foreign country and that stays in the news for months”.
He used a very erroneous and bad analogy.
He is just like the Arubans. They may tell the truth, but they do not tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

PRAY TELL ME WHO MAY BE RAPING THESE black women in Africa? Did I miss something or have aliens landed there?

      Could be BO’s brothers?

    178. mayan_moons on August 11th, 2007 5:12 pm

dm…..i’m not sure what to make of Aruban women but theres not a doubt in my mind that the men of Aruba manipulate them in many ways. Saying or doing things with American women to make Aruba’s women jealous or angry being at the top of the list.

You aren’t a bigot and I don’t think that anyone has accused you of being one. There were things said that were insulting to, not only, black people but people who believe that we can all get along and have peace among one another. My children are bi-racial so I take it personal when people say disgusting and untrue things about people based on race. There are differences amongst the races and there are differences within the races… good and bad among all races.

Yo Yo is a person, not an animal that hangs under bridges. She is entitled to her opinion, just as the rest of us are. Sometimes she’s right and sometimes she’s wrong. She is inquisitive and questions many things, including the opinions of many of us here. I have never heard her say that someone is stupid or call people names… only question their opinion.

She is entitled to her opinion just as the rest of us are. If she doesn’t think that Joran killed Natalee, that is her right. No one knows, for sure, EXACTLY, what happened to Natalee so I don’t have a problem with allowing her to express her opinion.

Hell, we all have our own theories; and, in my case, sometimes they change. I enjoy reading other people’s theories and contemplating on how they fit into my theory, or how my theory must be wrong. But, Richard is right; yelling at each other and fighting amongst ourselves does nothing to help the boycott. And… no mtter what our personal theory, there is one common thread, the corruption of the Aruban government.

We’ve all fallen under the attack of Yo Yo and in many cases she was right and to call her or anyone a troll is going beyond the bounds of civil discussion.

I hope all is well with your family and it is wonderful to see you posting. Perhaps it won’t be long before we have that meeting in Las Vegas and celebrate the vidication of Natalee’s name and the justice that is sure to follow.

What did Beth do when the Security Guards were arrrested? She questioned the evidence against them and publicly declared that she did not think that they were the perpetrators. If she were a bigot, her hatred would have blinded her and she would have accepted the explanation of their guilt.

There is racism on both sides; but, no matter which side it’s on… it’s wrong. Let Beth set the example and allow us to follow it.

He’s shown how he feels about things and appologizing would only be to save his face to all idiots who would believe he means it. Sometimes saying I’m sorry is not enough. He should pay for his beliefs as illustrated by his judging of Natalee by being thrown from the pulpit…I mean who would want to be preached to about right and wrong and God and Jesus by someone with opinions such that Mr Wrong has? He obviously has no clue what God’s message is supposed to be in this area and probably in other areas as well. Anyone who continues to go to his church to hear him preach is just sick!

      186 Patti: Thank you.
Where did I suggest that two wrongs make a right? I am not racist against Obama – I don’t care if he’s purple, orange, green, black or white. I even said I thought he was an interesting candidate until I heard what his minister said and continues to say and yet Obama continues to attend that church and not denounce this racist crap.

Nor did I mean to insinuate that Beth did anything wrong in my comments to Steve Holloway about Dave. Dave has a quiet gentle calmness about him that awes me because I’m more a bull like Beth. That doesn’t mean Beth did anything wrong – she just as a different God given personality. We need both types otherwise God wouldn’t have made both types!

You are absolutely right that there is racism on all sides. However non-blacks are not allowed to play the race card. We have no civil rights (that’s a legal fact, check it out). Not that anyone *should* play the race card. Racism is ignorance and stupidity because the color of one’s skin does not make the person anymore than the color of a house makes it a home.

Patti….Just to be clear about Africa and slaves, and I’m speaking of the ones that ended up in America whose offspring are still milking the the plight of their ancestors…..the blacks kidnapped others blacks to use them for slaves, but when they were offered Rum by whites they traded some of their kidnapped black brothers and sisters for Rum. After they found out they could sell their bro’s the kidnapping got worse…trading is the same as selling. Hence, you get it now, I’m sure.

The whites who bought these slaves off the boat that they were on -after being purchased from their black brothers with Rum -should not have engaged in using slaves. However, it was not the whities that ventured into the jungles and kidnapped the blacks for slavery. The blacks did that warring over each other’s property, and if they had not, then there would have been no black slaves to sell to the white folk in the first place.

That is why I have problems with the idea that the plight of blacks due to ancestors having been brought here as slaves is all the white man’s fault. Blacks need to address the root cause of the problem, that being that THEY sold their brothers out.

No one can kiss this and make it better until people like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton and Rev Wright admit the history of their own race and stop blaming the whole shabang on white folks!

There are of course rotten people everywhere of every race. That goes without saying and at this juncture in history it should not even be necessary that that should need to be said to keep from sounding like a racist, but I included it anyway so as not to be so accused…anyhow back to the point….blacks need to blame their own when their own do bad things. They do not need to drag white folk into it to excuse or rationalize things when blacks do bad things to other blacks. In fact, they don’t need to even say their own are blacks..they could just call them people or call them by their names.

Rev Wright should have said all raping is bad and needs to stop….then he could have just said his black brothers of Africa are going at it like crazy and ask that the world take a heavy interest in it and help draw attention to the sickness over there ….or what the heck….he could just move there and start something OVER there…..but you see, he’s not going to do that…he’s not going to give up his comfy home here in the land his ancestors allowed him to be in no matter that he and many other racist blacks don’t want to outwardly admit they are darned glad their ancestors were slaves or else they’d be in Africa right now living in squallor, drinking diseased water, and having their daughters and wives raped…well, the ones that don’t die of wide spread disease or malnutrition anyway.

Sometimes I think some blacks feel guilty living the good life after what their ancestors went though. Maybe it’s just time to say thanks to them(the slaves of old) and move on and be happy. Maybe have a Thank You Slave Ancestor Day?

I don’t mean to sound like I’m making light of the evil of slavery. I am certainly NOT. But let’s face it, the process did result in people like Rev Wright being able to wear a nice suit while dining at some high dollar restaurant on occasion instead of running around ninety percent naked with paint all over his body dancing around some fire pit with a spear in his hand.

For the record, I have many black friends. Some I love more than some of my family members…I go for character plain and simple and I do believe most of us do that… and you know what? Even in the dark days of slavery in our country there were many whites both northern and southern who were dinner table sharing friends with blacks (although, most northeners only befriended blacks to make a statement). Some from the south even bought slaves just to free them and set them up with comforts to get started in a good life. Not all blacks in the south were slaves either. In fact, most white skinned immigrants in the north were not so respected as some blacks in the south. This whole idea of Joran’s (or anyone) that if one comes from the south they hate blacks and think blacks should be slaves is just bizarre and ignorant!

I’ll bet Joran loves what Mr Wright said!

I’ve gotten off track so I’ll end this with ….anyone who thinks Mr Rev Wright was right in any way at all in what he said is wrong. He was both racial and gender biased and an instigator of hate. He has no business in God’s church and should be ashamed to give one more sermon.

brie – well, you’ve made it official. You are a racist. There is no defense for post #191.
#191 Brie says: “If you don’t like the whitier country than go to the blackier country….it’s that simple..we couldn’t be happier….and take your black criminals who fill our jails and violent our people and suck welfare and adc….who works to support you….you slam opportunity….over and over again…get a life and work for it!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Yep, no doubt. Racist. racist. rasict. I feel sad for you to have so much hatred just because of the color of one’s skin. Sad…and disgusting!!

      Yo Yo:

      The hate mongers stick together…

Their only excuse… “to each his own” with no regard to the fact that the whole world is watching and the family of Natalee Holloway have stated that they want the hate to stop and that the boycott should not be made a racial issue.

    206. brie on August 12th, 2007 11:59 am

yoyo……not hatred for one’s skin color…dislike some people who are unappreciative and continually dispute things that have been done to help them….call the United States of America, the whitier country, that was sure a racist statement said by Rev Wright…I know a lot of black folks, as I said before, that try hard and work hard, only to be disgraced by their own race. They don’t like it either. And I don’t blame them at all…….black people in some of the less fortunate neighbors are scared to death to allow their children outdoors because they don’t want their children to be victims of violence….when a racist statement was made supposedly by a follower of God and preaches white arrogance and attacked Natalee, that was a bit much………

      YoYo….find somewhere to go…your always causing trouble……….

      Brie:

I don’t believe you. You don’t have any black friends, otherwise you wouldn’t make the statements you do. I’m through with this whole affair with you. I don’t care to see the bleeding heart or the passing of the buck. You can’t blame Yo-Yo for the things that you say. The things you said, willingly, out of the clear blue sky, were ugly and since you don’t have the character to apologize to anyone, it is evident, to me atleast, that you don’t care WHO you offend, including Natalee and her family.

Also, I want to get one more thing

      straight with you, Patti. {{edit}}

WE ARE HERE FOR NATALEE!!! (always have been)

      {{edit}}

The only people who have ever brought

race into the Natalee Holloway Case

were the VAN DER SLOOTS, in hopes and prayers of

getting their vicious, serial raping, throat

slitting, psycho stalker, sex predator out of

      jail, for the cold

blooded murder and rape of Nat Holloway. Any

      questions about that,

just drop to the video tape and the documents.

It is all right there. It is

in black and white on paper.

The Van der sloots of Aruba

were born and raised on hate. It is what fuels

them, it’s what has kept them running drugs,

laundering money, lying, serial raping, fixing

court cases, and killing for years! Oddly enough,

I think it will also probably be in the end,

what gets them ice cold rocked with TEN TOES UP.

      > ARUBAN MAFIA

It’s the Van der sloot family business,

It’s a family franchise. Paulus is but a mere bump

on an elephant’s ass in that world, but he has a

lot of dirt on everybody on that island. (due to

his previous place of employment) He would make

it very nasty for those who would tell.

That is why nobody will talk as of yet. However,

over time people get real hungry & tired, and a

day will come when someone says, Paulass VAN DER

      WHOOOOO???

How about this, howza ’bout we just jog over

there shoot that effin pussy? -j4n

    212. Patti on August 12th, 2007 1:29 pm

I’m going to make one more comment and then get on with my day.

Reverend Wright made a statement that was rediculous concerning Natalee Holloway and her disappearance. The comment was full of racial undertones, suggesting that white girls give it away while women of Africa are actually raped. The statement was made in the form of a complaint about how much press the rape of a white girl from Alabama gets over the rapes of Africans.

There is no doubt that the words that this man was speaking were not the words of God. They were the words of an imperfect human being with his own bias and prejudice. As I stated earlier, prejudice or racism is a fire that burns in the hearts of men and they are the only ones that can put it out. We can beg, argue and try to reason with such a person but until they are ready to distinguish that fire, it will continue to burn.

Rev. Wright is not going to apologize even if, in his mind, he knows he’s wrong. The bible says that the heart will rule the thoughts of men, and in this case that’s true. He will hide from his statements, deny the meaning of his statements or blame others for forcing him to make the statement because the bible says the heart is treacherous.

Definition: Betraying a trust; traitorous. Unreliable; undependable. Not to be trusted; dangerous.

A man of God, just as an ordinary person, is not going to own up to having a flaw or weakness. Their hearts will guide them to a place where the secret will never be revealed until they, themselves, admit it, repent, ask for forgiveness and put out the fire.

Vickie was right. Natalee was raised in a Christian family, taught to love everyone and it is out of this love Christians are able to forgive even without the asking, just as Steve Holloway talked about. Perhaps we all have our own personal fires to put out because we are all mere, imperfect men. I pray that there is enough forgiveness to go around so we can all attain peace.

      Have a nice day…

#210…Vicki… This is a true story….I was talking about what my friend had told me that joined the Peace Corps who went to Africa and lived in a small African village for 2 years…she was telling us about the spread of aids in the villages and how it comes about…..apparantly I gather what she said….the black man doesn’t have consensual sex with their mate, they just perform the act…the black woman says no, no ,no because it hurts…then they seek the prostitutes and that’s how aids are brought back to the village…she referred to this as “dry sex”. Her experiences were many….she was the only white person in the village..had a bicycle that she had to ride for 35 miles to meet with other members of the Peace Corps…she said it was very remote and primitative….she also said if they ever saw anything electrical, that we take for granted everday, they would start running and never come back….they know of nothing of the outside world…it’s not WFT, it’s a true story…I hope this clears things up…Thank You

Also, I may be very close to 3 of your locations for the travel shows…I’m not sure of my schedule, just yet, but if I’m there I would be happy to help….

    214. brie on August 12th, 2007 4:56 pm

    216. mayan_moons on August 12th, 2007 5:37 pm

The boycott has never been nor is now about hate on racial lines…..well maybe in your or someother’s eyes it is but NOT by those supporting Natalee & her family.

As i said the race issue was brought in by the Aruban/Dutch National’s when they arrested the 2 black SG’s and you know that Patti. Try as you might to divert the real issue of the VDS’s guilt in the kidnap, rape & murder of Natalee into a racial issue only makes you look foolish.

    217. mayan_moons on August 12th, 2007 6:09 pm

Sometimes you talk a good game Patti but i never see the indignation toward’s the Sloot’s/Aruba falsely implicating the 2 black men as you do to brie.

    218. Patti on August 12th, 2007 6:30 pm

Actually, the race issue was brought up before that by the suspects themselves and you know that, too. I’m sorry, I just don’t like racists on either side.

I, too had a friend that joined the Peace Corps and was stationed in Africa. She was a mid-wife and nutritionist. She never had any negative stories to tell about the people of Africa. In fact, she loved the people there. Her mother, who was my friend went to visit her over Xmas and they stayed with a family in one of the small villages. Many times the daughter stayed in their villages to keep from having to bicycle back and forth everyday.

She was from a very, very wealthy family and was amazed that families could be so close and loving to one another in such dire circumstances. She also was amazed with how happy they were with so little, in the way of worldly goods.

Hilde, her mother was very happy Danielle got to learn what life is really about. ie. it’s not about money, it’s about family. Danielle had never been around people of color before and it was something that she wanted to experience before going on to become a doctor. She wanted to give something back to society as she had never known what it was to go without. She practices gynecology, lives in Montreal and is raising a family of her own.

So, I guess there are two sides to every story.

Here is an example of what I wrote on an article about taking a bite out of crime in Aruba (dated August 1)

      Patti on August 3rd, 2007 8:37 pm
      What, Yo Yo?

You can’t think of anything impressive? Neither
can I. All I know is that when this is FINALLY
said and done, there will be justice in Aruba and
not against some poor black man that has had no-
thing to do with the death of Natalee along with
no money to defend himself on an island that the
rich and powerful (not to mention Duetch) get
more than their share of fair shakes.

Pinnin’ it on the security guards was part of the
plan that Paulus cooked up around the pool. One
that he thought a family from Mississippi would
buy hook, line and sinker. I think we should
paint his face black, paste a sign to his back that says “I like white booty” and drop him off
in the middle of I-10 at about 2 in the morning.
Let him see what it’s like to stand on the other
side of the street, so to speak.

Is that inspiring? I don’t think so. Race should
never have been a part of this case… but it was
because of who? The same person that made up the
stories about people being related to Hitler and
having slaves… to stir up the hatred in the
other direction so everyone would be so busy
hating on one another that no one would give a
rats ass. Again, around the pool, telling
      everyong what to say.

So we have him, Paulus to thank for being
responsible that Joran Van der Sloot, the
psychotic, murdering sucker-thumb is still on the
streets; walking as free as a bird, today.

Is there racism in Aruba? You bet there is!
It’s called Colonialism, just as it was in
India and South Africa where the rich who rarely
would call themselves “slave-owners” have it all.
All the money, all the power and all the liberty.
And if they want to hate someone who resembles
Hitler, they need only look in the mirror because
deep down in thier hearts they truly believe that
their being “white” is what makes them superior.
If that’s not being a Nazi, I don’t know what is.

Peace be with you Yo Yo… just be careful of
      who you are defending.

      Boycott!

    221. Patti on August 12th, 2007 7:31 pm

      Mayan:

So?!?!?!?! Was that not strong language against the Sloots and Aruba? I am not a hypocrite. I say what I mean and I mean what I say. I have no problem with anyone, whether they be Aruban, Dutch, Yo Yo or anyone ele. I don’t call fellow posters names and I expect the same courtesy.

      Patti on August 4th, 2007 2:24 am
      Good Job Brie!

The only one that talked about drugs and
going in and out of conscienceness was Joran.
In fact, as far as I know that is what started
the assumption that she must have been drugged.
Anyone that knew Natalee knows that she didn’t
do drugs willingly so if what Joran says is
true (which is unlikely) she was drugged.

My bet is that she was lied to, just like Brie
said thinking that the soccer player, little
“sporter” wanna be, was returning to his hotel,
as well so she’d just catch a ride.

She didn’t want to do anything more than go back
to the hotel where her friends were. Drunk or
drugged makes no difference except that the things
that Joran told the police had them thinking that
Natalee was probably in some crack house somewhere
and led the police and investigators way, way off
      the path.

That would have to be hurtful to know that the
police were wasting valuable time and avoiding
      questioning potential witnesses and suspects
under the assumption that your daughter was a
      drug addict… WHAT THE ?!?!?!?!

Who was running the show YO YO?

The family was under more police surveilance than
the last people seen with the missing person. They had to try to conduct their own investigation with the police showing up to look over their shoulders, like a bunch of morans. And
in the end every single person that tried to help
them were harrassed, threatened with arrest and
      accused of tampering with evidence.

Van der Straaten say’s he saw the evidence? He
saw it alright and what did he do? He sent his
forces on crack-house surveilance while a young,
intelligent, GOOD girl was dying on an island,
too, too many miles from home.

There is not one single person on that whole
island with the fortitude, the grace or the honor
to stand up and admit what they know, much less
what they saw… but their defiant little miss-
fit gets to tuck himself in and suck his thumb to
his delight, every single night knowing that his
daddy loves him. Because he f’d up REAL bad…
somthing really, REALLY bad happened but his daddy
didn’t let them take him to jail.

He should be taken out and shot in the head like
a rabied dog, but instead his mommy calls him a
sporter and fills his head with dreams of things
that he will never fulfull with friends that he
      will never have.

      Hell, Yo Yo… Who’s in charge? Doesn’t a murder-
er who cries in his cell that he wants to be dead
for the things that he’s done deserve to have his
restitution, his punishment and his closure as
well? Or are we to live in a world where the
angry psychotic acts of a madman are to remain
tucked away, snug in his blankey to save him the
heartache of a broken life? Who’s life has been
broken anyway? Haven’t the acts to protect the
guilty made him a victim as well? Why? So Daddy
can rest his arm on his son’s shoulders “pretend-
ing” that he’s proud to be a Van der Sloot?

I’ll bet they all wish they could take it away,
take it all away. They probably wish everyday
they would have done the right thing… because
nothing EVER is going to be alright… least of
      all Joran.

I swear, come hell or high water; I will fight for
the justice of Natalee Holloway with all my might
because that piece of shit that was too good to
pay the price for his sins is responsible for an
innocent having to pay the ultimate price for
hers and all she wanted was to go home.

There will be justice for Natalee and everyone
will suffer for the part they so willingly played.
There are no secrets with God and, soon, the
whole world will know the shame that has become
      Aruba.

So Yo Yo… Who’s in Charge?

    225. Patti on August 12th, 2007 8:17 pm

      AND… another:

      Patti on August 4th, 2007 6:31 pm
I think Joran is a liar when he wants to be and
when it’s to his advantage. The racist thing in
my opinion was much too sophisticated for a pit
face like Joran to dream up. I think it was
orchastrated, along with the crack house detail
by someone with much greater thinking abilities.
I, honestly, think that Joran was being coached
from the beginning along with Deepak and Satish.

I know people hate it when I say it, but Joran
was just a boy of seventeen. I don’t think that
he was old enough to realize that the combination
of statements that were made would result in
putting the skids on any investigation like it was
designed to do. These decisions were made by some
one that knew police work. The whole thing was
planned out even down to having that woman (what
was her name) from the local newspaper befriend
Beth and post offensive “missing” posters. These
are not things that 17 year-olds are able to do
on their own, but rather, things that make the
police unconcerned about finding someone; and
citizen’s offended to the point where they don’t
care if she’s found or not… on both sides, black
and white. These are lies that only an adult
could think of, lies with a purpose.

I honestly think that they were going to have
her be found with drugs on her at the rocks, but
when they realized that they had blown it by
saying that Joran had sexually assaulted her while
going in and out of conscienceness, they had to
change their game plan… thus the bloody mattress. And when things started unraveling,
      Joran broke and confessed.

The confession set into motion a major cover-up
perhaps because there were other people, powerful
people mentioned in the original plan to cover
up his crime, like JAN VAN der STRAATEN…. now
there’s a man that was in charge AND a friend of
      the family.

They covered it up, Jan Van der Straaten left the
island and the whole affair has been swiftly swept
      under the carpet.

      Pulling me, closely
      Now even more than ever
      I promise, to find you
I will never stop until I do

      Cause everytime my heart beats
      I want to cry
And everytime I take a breath
I long for you by my side
Needing just to hold you even for awhile
Someday, somehow Natalee where are you now?

Lord can you hear me, calling
      Seeking out your face
      To see you, shine through
      Every cold dark place
I pray for and wait for you
To take me in your sweet embrace

Someway, somehow…Oh Lord stay here with me now

Oh my precious child be still and know
I’m holding on to hope and I won’t let go
I need to have you here with me

A song written for Natalee by Ericka Harvey

      Blind Kung Fu Master:

You are right about that. I think alot of
it has to do with the subject matter. The
tragic disappearance of a young, beautiful,
promising girl on a foreign island full of
corruption, in and of itself, can be frust-
rating… and then you have all the different
personality types trying to merge with each
other with different opinions… it can be
      hectic.

So what does it mean to be a blind Kung Fu
      Master?

Anyone truely standing by Natalee, Beth, Dave & Matt is no enemy of mine.

It was a bit of a reach when you were posting about Jurine being sexually abused by the *elders* though.

I want to thank you again and say that in

your case, to be blind, means to see, maybe,

      from within.

      Good Night.

If, “rev.” Wright is so concerned about rapes in Africa, why doesn’t he lambast his fellow Africans for not doing something to alleviate the situation??????? They should look to the U.S. A and Natalie Holloway for an example of how Americans respond when our citizens are endangered.

His whole comment is an indictment of Africa, if you ask me.

    249. Alice Bensfield on March 13th, 2008 1:10 pm

This written statement about the Trinity United Church of Christ and Reverend Jeremiah Wright Jr. is fasle. I did a lot of research on this. Here one link that helps you see the truth.

It’s kind of sad to see that sacred monkey is allowing these kinds of things to be posted without checking all the facts and sources. All they had to do was make a few phone calls and research online. they could of even gone to the service and talked to the members and see that the Rev. comments and sermons are taken out of context. I don’t particular like the way the Rev. talks because people can easily twist his intentions and words around whihc based on my research is what you guys have done. PEOPLE Don’t just believe things you hear. This is an election and people will say anything negative to get your vote on their side. Researching is easy. Go online, call the sources of the story send emails and get all the facts before you comment.

And the funny thing about this is the mainstream media hasn’t covered this since this post has been posted until now.
http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/church.asp yeah getting info from a site thats controlled by the mainstream media.

Embarassing… that doesn’t sound like a church..if I went to one of those churches, I would go there to stress myself out. To me church = relaxation, purity, positive talk, etc… that’s not a church, it’s a hatrage nest, which preaches hate, separation of people by color, negative influence…(people are people, regarless of color damn it!). I’m sick of hearing this bullshit. I’ve met people of all colors and nationalities, and felt in love with many, good people to me are just people, bad people are bad people (and i don’t think some pigment in the skin makes anybody different, it’s WHO you are inside that makes who you are, what’s in your soul, what’s in your mind, and how you treat people…any normal being thinks this way… only people who want to control others use all kind of excuses to get where they want. That’s my opinion. Obama lies more and more… we already have a liar as a president, we don’t need another one. And another thing.. his mother is white. Why would he hate whites? He is a white guy for God’s sake… same way as he is a black guy. He’s 50/50 This is acutally what America is all about. Everybody from everywhere. (by being Wright’s friend and listening to him for 20 years => he agrees with him, so he agrees with his preaches, so he hates whites – so he hates his mother??? Just doesn’t make sense to me… was his mom with him in the church listening to Wrights preaches and screaming YES! Yes! Haleluia!

This reporter missed the point of Rev. Wright’s comments. I am a loyal member of the church and was there when that sermon was given. He was not suggesting that Ms. Holloway should not have received the media attention. He was saying that the lives of black women are not valued and many go missing everyday without any attention from the media. Rev. Wright, contrary to the media’s characterization of him, cares about human beings; particularly those who are disadvantaged. Recently, a member of our church garnered national attention when she became missing. It was only due to the connections of her family and perserverance that this young lady received national attention and was unfortunately found dead. Rev. Wright, at Ms. Franklin’s memorial service, spoke about violence to women; not just black women.

    255. Diane on March 15th, 2008 12:37 am

And how do you explain the racist comments against Hillary Clinton (not that I care about her…) but the comments were quite disgusting! (and I’m sure more of his disgusting comments will come up in the news as they are found… nobody who believed in a God (and especially these comments are not too approriate for a church to begin with…)and nobody who feared God would say such disgusting things about another human being. God doesn’t like people to talk nasty about others. If you really want to go with the religion thing…Also… what about him stating that the Americans invented AIDS to distroy the blacks…it’s quite too much…It must be a joke… more than my brain can handle, really… may I laugh??? He makes a fool of himself already…Do me good and give me a break! Do some people sit there all day thinking about these disgraceful things to talk about??? That’s a waste of time…That’s called brainwashing his listeners, and making them hate the white people or whatever… Why??? don’t know…I prefer a church where I go pray to God or Jesus (whatever his color was, don’t even care…) and focus on what’s beautiful, and focus on how I can help others, and be kind to others, not become a hating monster…sorry….you guys just poison your souls like that…no matter how much you guys try to be on his side… the damage is done! period. He’s NOT a kind person. And I would say that everybody who listens to him, is not a kind person either. I would not continue to go to a church where other people are being called names, blamed, and put down, and so forth. But that’s a personal choice I guess… some like gosspips and talking about others, and looking for excuses to hate others not because they have reasons, but just because they don’t like some group of people. I never ever heard in my church ANY comment about black people, or white people, or whatever color they might be, pink, green..whatever! I heard about God, about what’s good and what’s bad in general..
Regarding the missing and such… And who is dissadvantaged in your opinion? people who don’t go to school, and just want all for free. If you want a good job, do what others do, get a loan, study, get a job and work hard. Nothing comes for free in life. For nobody! No other way will bring you anywhere else. I came from a very poor country myself, with nothing! I went to school and did whatever it took to get a job, I worked very hard for it, and I preferred to do that rather than just sit on a couch and say I’m dissadvantaged. It depends how you look at it..
Rev. Wright is not a good man. He instigates haterage between people. That’s what he does. I’ve seen enough of his speaches and “incidents” like these, where he raves about “white” here, “white” there… he really must have something against “whities”. I really feel sorry for him… he must have a really poisoned soul.. He needs a good Preacher to save his soul!

That’s one of Obama’s campain offices (Huston campaign office). That’s a Cuban flag with the picture of Che Guevara. Why isn’t the American flag on the background instead?

If you don’t understand the point made about Natalie Holloway. You are an idiot and typical moron. The point is that there is always more sympathy towards the death or rape of wealthy white girls. Bottom line. If you know unbiased history of America you will understand the point made. Granted….the statement about 9/11 was brutal…..but you cannot ignore the fact of all the ugly and brutality that has been swept under the rug and no one had to pay for it. Whether or not this country responds to terrorism has always depended on who it was done to.
Black Americans have been terrorized for years. I speak from experience. No one went to jail for what was done to me and you ask why someone like myself would be angry. WAKE UP IDIOTS.

This may be the most ridiculous set of comments I’ve ever read on a website. Do you people even read the news anymore? This Rev. Wright doesn’t even preach anymore and Senator Obama hasn’t said any of these things. I’m thoroughly disgusted by some of these attacks on Obama for nothing. Some of these posts sound like an old-woman’s gossip circle. There are a lot of people who need to grow up and get some facts. The top of this forum is full of some messed up people, I can’t believe that some people get to vote.

    260. Jaloney on April 9th, 2008 2:16 pm

WHat if this was your daughter? What if this was your sister? So this man as a president is going to APOLOGIGE repeatedly for somehow missing 20 years of hate. Many BLACK pastors have came out and said Obama’s speech was not strong enough.. and that he could not of missed the hate. This stuff about Natalee was printed in Church bulletin 3 years ago.. and not one constiutent in Illinois called Obama to the carpet on it or emailed and complained.. Hardly doubt that.. Obama new his pastor was a hate monger and the media is stumping for him cause HIll would be harder for Mccain to beat and now his big buddy Oprah has left Christianity see youtube: Oprah’s Church exposed. His Reverend is former Muslim too. Rezko is from Syria… Hello read between the lines people… These people are not represenatative of America. AND for the guilt we should feel about racism? They should feel guilty for purposely injecting hate and trying to traumatize their people for something AMERICANS fought and died to stop a hundred years ago.. The majority of Americans were against slavery!
