If Aruba Does not Care to Help & Protect Their Own … Why would they Care about Tourists?

The RED party is highly suspect as to whether Aruba can protect its own people against the Valero arubapollution caused by Valero. They are questioning why there seems to be a greater number of cancer cases in the San Nicolas area than other areas of Aruba. What aspect of this issue has to do with the Aruban government just not caring for its people, or is it that they care less for the people of San Nicolas?

Much like they cared to blame two black security guards from San Nicolas for a crime they obviously did not commit. What are the people of San Nicolas possibly being exposed to and the tourists as well. Many a tourist go the the “Baby Beach” area in close proximity to San Nicolas and Valero. What could they be exposed to?

ORANJESTAD – Aruba is not capable to protect her own people against pollution by a multinational, concluded RED as a result of the answers of minister Booshi Wever (MEP) of Public health, Environment, and Immigration Affairs on their question about the pollution of Valero and the consequences for the public health.

In August of last year RED had asked the minister about the number of cancer cases in San Nicolas.  Is the number of cancer cases in San Nicolas more than in the rest of Aruba?  Does the oil refinery emit polluted chemicals and are these carcinogenic?

The RED party has asked minister Booshi Wever (MEP) of Public health, Environment, and Immigration Affairs a number of questions. All responses seem to be, I don’t know.

  • The minister answered that he has no information on how many cases of cancer there is per district.
  • But the minister says that the inquiry was not set up to check for inter-regional differences.  In order to answer Red’s questions, a specific inquiry has to be conducted
  • The minister does not have an answer on the emission questions either.

Valero oil spill

How indicative is this of everything that seems to take place on Aruba? No questions to serious issue and they are passed off as a nonexistent problem. Whether they be security, safety or health issues. All problems seem to be “no problem mon”. It appears that some in the government with to take some action; however, like all issues they are passed off under the guise of hoping the problem will just be forgotten and go away. Sound familiar? Do they care about anything? This is a country with a functioning government, right?

However, RED gives short shrift to Wever’s answers. “The answers are proof of the government’s mental deficiency with regard to Valero. “The government does not investigate the possible pollution of the refinery.  The only thing the minister said is that when the wind turns and the smoke blows over San Nicolas, the school children get the day off.  It is too sad for words that the government is dealing with the health of the people in this manner.”

Aruba Tourism 2006 into 2007 … Money, Money, Money … Down the Drain

As reported earlier today, Aruba tourism still on the downward slide. So much this being over in four days. The 2006 tourism numbers are a far cry from what they were in 2004 prior to the disappearance of Natalee Holloway.

Take a look at the video … For an island based on the monies from the tourism dollar, they certainly are going in the opposite direction.

Justice from Above for Habitual Child Sex Predator Robert Allen Billings

Why can’t it always be this simple? Seems that it would put a dent into the child sex predator problem we have in this country. Predators are predators, its as simple as that. Instead of slapping them on the wrist, having them register, only to repeat their sexual deviance upon a new victim until they ultimately escalate to murder … we can have happen what occurred to Robert Allen Billings. Simple, Sweet … Justice served.

Paris Hilton Sues to Shut Down Web Site, ParisExposed.com, that Displayed her Naked photos, Videos, diaries …

Welcome to the Paris Hilton scandal of the month … Paris_Hilton5

Never has a $208 unpaid fee caused so much commotion. Never has a $2775 investment ever been so lucrative without having paid for a lottery ticket and winning Powerball. Nabil and Nabila Haniss paid $2,775 for the contents of Paris Hilton’s storage unit that had a past due balance. According to court documents they sold the contents to Bardia Persa for $10 million. The web site was then launched … ParisExposed.com. (Careful when visiting this site, not work appropriate)

LOS ANGELES -        Paris Hilton filed a federal lawsuit Monday, seeking to shut down a Web site that displays personal photos, videos, diaries, and other belongings once kept at a storage facility.

The Web site was launched last week claiming the items were auctioned off after Hilton neglected to pay the Los Angeles-area storage facility. It also promises visitors who pay a fee of $39.97 access to Hilton’s passport, medical records and other legal documents. (Yahoo News, CNN)

The questions that come into play is an expectation of privacy”. Paris, you will lose this one as the storage facility most likely properly sold the items at auction as per a contract you signed if a storage facility bill goes unpaid. Also, how bizarre a situation is it that a millionaire heiress finds herself in a predicament like this because she did not pay a $208.00 storage fee? Unbelievable.

What rocket scientist has in a storage facility documents, pictures and videos that they know that people would steal let alone pay for for their own personal gain? Paris Hilton is that rocket scientist.

Court documents and law suit can be found HERE.
