On your mark, ready, set, “BANG”, they’re off and competing in the 2006 Caribbean Tourism 10K.
Oooops, everyone got off the line with great speed except the Aruban entry. The stakes are extremely high in this race and we notice the Island lags quite far behind it’s peers in this event. Our prayers are for a burst of insight to strike those who are in a position to do something about it.
The rest of the Caribbean is experiencing some nice tourism numbers; however, Aruba is not. They still continue to report a constant decline even after being compared to last years disastrous post “Natalee Holloway missing” tourism. When Aruba attached themselves to the three suspects in the manner in which they did, this situation was foreseeable to everyone. Everyone that is except Aruba.

It is really a shame that someone can’t organize a group to go after Joran, Paulus or the K brothers. I am really surprised someone hasn’t. I bet if they could catch up with them or even just one of them…they could find a way to get the truth out of them. May not be a “legal method” but who cares. Not like the judicial system is going to solve the case and / or punish them anyway. If we could get one of them alone, we would know what happened and where she is. Why is it a bad idea? These guys raped, tortured and murdered Natalee. Nothing has been done to them. These same guys have insulted Natalee and her family over and over again. All evidence has been destroyed down there. I think it would be a great way to get the truth…because that is the ONLY way we will ever get the truth. Neither the Dutch nor Aruba plans on solving this case and serving justice.

People complaining about a boycott of Aruba is so silly. You can’t force people to go on vacation somewhere they only care about your money. Look what happens to you and your family if something goes wrong. They’ve tried to take us back to the stone age by degrading a female victim about whether she had a sex life, what clothes she wore, what she drank, instead of focusing on the real creeps sitting in wait and watching for their next unsuspecting victims. Doesn’t matter if the woman marched down the street nude. I wish some undercover women would go in CnC. Its a sad state of things when they want to lock up the deceased victim and her family.

just a thought or two about the plight of young women on aruba. natalee ann holloway, as far as i can tell, was drugged, kidnapped, raped, and probably killed, possibly by accident, and her body disposed of.
this summer, a l6 yr. old aruban girl was gang-raped on school premises by a group of teens and l adult. this atrocity was recorded on phone cams and sent to other people for their enjoyment and possible distribution on the internet. i don’t know the timing of the discovery of this rape, but if it was discovered and stopped in progress, would this child have been killed and disposed of too? according to aruban newspaper accounts, the girl has had to leave the island for her safety and to avoid embarassment and harassment while she finishes her schooling. there have been no charges brought against any of the miscreants involved in this incident and a message has been sent out to all the recipients of the pics from this incident to be erased and forgotten. i can see that happening right now. jvds and the kalpoes have been released and there isn’t much chance of them ever paying for their crimes against natalee ann holloway. there is now another group of teens who, as far as i can tell, are and will continue to be free, just as jvds and the kalpoes are. of course there are no charges so both these incidents never happened as far as crime statistics are concerned, so the island remains, to their thinking and reporting, crime free.

I don’t think boycotting Dutch companies will help much. because for them the USA isn’t their main market (Europe is) but mostly because they have factories in the USA. If you boycot them they will just shut down their USA market and close the factories in the USA. boycotting them will recoil at the American worker.

The KLPD needs to VOID all judgements for Paulus Van Der Sloot. There was clear conflict of interest by the ruling judge. In light of this conflict of interest, the decision is not valid…..or is this Dutch law and you allow for conflicts of interest in your system???

The KLPD is in charge of the case for 2 weeks. you honestly believe they have results in an case like this? in this stage of the investigation, with all the cover-ups and stuff, even the FBI can’t have result in 2 weeks time. First they have to read all the files of the case which will take some time. after that they can try to void the judgment. If they go to a judge to get the judgment voided, they need to have all the facts they can find in the files or else a judge can reject the claim. I don’t think a lot of people would like to hear Paul can never be prosecuted because of a mistake by the KLPD.

The KLPD does not need to review all of the facts. The judge who ruled on the case was a buddy of Paulus’.
Voiding a judgement based on clear conflict of interest has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with the facts of the case. It is a decision that clearIt has to do with “high end ticket fixing”.
Reviewing the files does nothing….they have all been papered appropriately to assure there is no evidence against the perp.
Your comments are like all of the early comments. Aruba, and now the Dutch are playing the “delay” game. Delay this case out to May 31, 2007 and then release all suspects because there isn’t enough evidence to convict anyone.
This is how this is going to play out. This is how cover-ups work….delay, delay, delay until everyone tires out and goes away or you can use the law to ‘cheat’ your way out of your misconduct (i.e. statute of limitations). We aren’t going away.

@MD. In the dutch law-system a murdercase must be solved in 15 years before it is called an unsolveble case, not 2 years. (although I don’t know much about the Aruba law-system)
and as I already told. voiding a case must be done by judges not normal policemen (as in most democratic western countries). if a normal policeman could void a case whenever he wants to, there would be a lot more cases with conflic of interest in western counties.
to bad you don’t even give the slightest reaction on the fact the KLPD only got supervision on the case for 2 weeks. 2 weeks isn’t much in a case like the Natalee Holloway case.

-KLPD assisted The ALE and FBI during the search on Aruba
-Holland has send special trained dogsquads to Aruba that are trained to find bodies (same squad as the ones that has been searching in New Orleans)
-Royal Dutch Marines searched the Island for possible graves
-Dutch F16s with special cameras (same as used in Bosnia to find graves) scan Aruba for possible graves
-KLPD assisted Aruba in the search near the lighthouse after a tip about a possible grave there
-KLPD now take over the investigation on Aruba.
to this day thousands of Dutch people helped in the search for Natalee. If anything was found and there was a big cover-up by the Dutch, somebody whould already have talked.
