Daniel Smith, Son of Anna Nicole Smith Dies While Visiting Mother in Bahama Hospital
According to reports, 20 year old Daniel Smith, the son of former Play Boy playmate Anna Nicole Smith, died of a “massive heart attack” while visiting his mother in a Bahama hospital. Daniel Smith was visiting his mother in the hospital who had just recently gave birth to a baby girl.
Anna Nicole Smith’s 20-year-old son died of a “massive heart attack” while visiting his mother and newborn sister in their hospital room over the weekend, according to media reports.
Daniel Smith had flown to the Bahamas on Saturday to join his mother and was in her hospital room Sunday when he suddenly collapsed.
According to The Nassau Guardian, sources say Daniel reportedly suffered a “massive heart attack” and his mother made an unsuccessful attempt to revive him.
It has not yet been determined as the exact cause of death. An autopsy has not yet been performed. As with any parent who suffers the death of their child, Anna Nicole Smith is reported to be heart-broken. What a bittersweet week for Anna Nicole Smith. The birth of a baby girl only to be followed by the death of her son, her “pride and joy”.

Smith welcomed her daughter into the world on Thursday. The baby, whose name has yet to be announced, was born in the Bahamas and weighed 6 pounds and 9 ounces. She was conceived with photojournalist Larry Birkhead, who is currently estranged from Smith.

Joy and Heartbreak for Anna Nicole
Anna Nicole Smith’s 20-year-old son was found dead in his bed three days after she gave birth to a baby girl.
“We have yet to learn the cause of death but do not believe that drugs or alcohol were a factor,” says a statement on Smith’s Web site. “Anna Nicole is absolutely devastated by the loss of her son. He was her pride and joy and an amazing human being.”
Authorities confirmed that they have not determined what killed Daniel Wayne Smith, whose body was found Sunday in the private Doctor’s Hospital in Nassau, Bahamas, reports The Associated Press.

“It would appear from our report that the mother had gotten up, saw him in the chair and he appeared to be sound asleep,” he said. “She tried to wake him up, he was unresponsive, and she sounded the alarm.”
Medical personnel arrived and pronounced him dead at the scene, Ferguson said.

Body Of Anna Nicole Smith’s Son, Daniel, Returned To California
The body of Daniel Smith is being returned to his home in California. Officially there has been no cause of death reported as to how the 20 year old son of Anna Nicole Smith passed away.
Anna Nicole Smith on Tuesday was grieving and preparing for the funeral, while authorities were looking into the mysterious circumstances surrounding the death.
A funeral home hired by the family said Tuesday it expected to receive Daniel Smith’s body after police completed an autopsy.
“Once the hospital has released the remains to our establishment, we are then able to process all of the documents for repatriation to California,” said Loretta Butler-Turner of Butler’s Funeral Homes & Crematoriums.
