From what would appear the truth is stranger from fiction category in Aruba, former suspect Steve Croes, ex-Tattoo NJ, is rumored to have plans to sue Beth Twitty. Steven Croes apparently says that “Beth Holloway Twitty has damaged his reputation and he might be taking her to court”. According to Jossy Mansur in an interview on Rita Cosby Live & Direct, Jossy Mansur stated the following:
We heard it and it has been confirmed by people very close to him. He feels that his reputation has been damaged in this case by Natalee’s mother. He has consulted with some legal advisors as to how to proceed with a case against her.
As Jossy further went on to say,
I don’t know, that is very hard to say from a man who just voluntarily went to the police to offer an alibi to save his friends.You can expect anything, whether he goes through with it or not.
Steve Croes goes into police to present an alibi to protect his friends and lies to authorities in the process. Because of this lie he is arrested as authorities knew at that time that Joran admitted to never leaving Natalee off at the Holiday Inn. Now Steve Croes wants to sue Beth Twitty because “his reputation has been damaged in this case”? Steve Croes lies and brings all this upon himself and now wants to sue because his reputation has somehow been damaged? I guess lying to the police does not qualify as damaging one’s reputation.

Now to Aruba, a former suspect in the NH disappearance is reportedly thinking about suing the teenagers mom. Steve Croes was arrested early in the investigation. The party boat DJ was released just days after his arrest. But now, he apparently says that Beth Holloway Twitty has damaged his reputation and he might be taking her to court.
Rita: Jossy, what do you know about Steve Croes going after Beth Twitty?
Jossy: We heard it and it has been confirmed by people very close to him. He feels that his reputation has been damaged in this case by Natalee’s mother. He has consulted with some legal advisors as to how to proceed with a case against her.Rita: Does he sound like he is going to go forward, or is he just blustering?

When I was down there a few weeks ago they were strongly suggesting to me some people on the island that maybe he knows Joran, maybe Deepak better that he has alleged. Maybe he knows more about the case than he has alleged.
Jossy:I am convinced he does know the three suspects very well. Much better than he has admitted so far or anyone has inquired into. Whether he knows more about the case, whether he is more involved in the case or not, I don’t know. You would have to consult with the prosecution or the police to find the real facts about that.
Rita: You have some new details on the status of Jorans family and what is father can and can’t do in court.
Jossy: Yes mam,I understand from talking to Diario today that the family of Joran came back from Holland. They are all in Aruba now. I understand that the father cannot enter or set foot in the building where the court functions while his son is a suspect. He will be a suspect for the next two years.
Rita: Do you get a sense that there is a stepped up effort because there has been so much talk of a potential boycott?
Jossy: Perhaps there is and perhaps there isn’t because it is hard to really correlate the possible boycott and the things happening now in the case. The case is going forward, the police are investigating, the prosecution is preparing it’s case. It is going forward regardless of what anyone else thinks. It is going forward.
Rita: That is good to hear Jossy and you keep us posted as always.
Let’s get the Holloway family attorney in here if we could. Live from Aruba Vinda de Sousa. Vinda, let me ask about Steve Croes. The audacity that this guy lied to the police and is now thinking about going after Beth.Vinda: Well, that is what I have heard like Jossy just said. I haven’t had any confirmation of that. If he is thinking of doing that, it is an audacity. He voluntarily provided a so called alibi for the three suspects. Nobody asked him to unless it was the three suspects. So, it is an audacity on his part.
Rita: One of the things we are hearing is that they are requesting a lot of the characters. Even going so far as to question a bus driver, almost anybody involved in the case. Are you getting a sense they are taking things seriously or is this just all show for us?
Vinda: Rita, you know they have taken this seriously from the beginning.
Contrary to all the reports we hear to the contrary but this has been taken very seriously from the beginning. If you remember a while back I informed you they were going to go back to basics and review the whole case. They are interviewing people who were already interviewed, old witnesses and old persons of interest new witnesses and new persons of interest as well. This is something that has been going on and the investigation never stopped. It was never the case that this was completely closed and nothing was being done. The investigation is ongoing.
There are several searches taking place and dives as well. So, what can I tell you? It is ongoing and is being taken very seriously. It will continue to be taken very seriously.Rita: I have been very impressed with some of the comments that deputy chief Dompig has said. Are you getting the sense there is momentum now. If these tapes are verified, he said they will all be brought in for questioning.
Vinda:When these tapes are verified if they are the real thing, if they are the raw tapes. When it is clearly established that Deepak stated what he stated, then of course he will be brought back in for questioning. That was said right from the beginning when the Dr. Phil show aired. That is what the authorities informed me.
Rita: Thank you, we are hearing a lot of things could come down as early as next week.

When discussed on Scared Monkeys yesterday, it was confirmed by a Monkey in Aruba that Steve Croes was NOT planning a lawsuit against Beth. However, the possibility was left open that another person with the last name of Croes could be doing just that.
He lied through every orifice in his body just like everyone else in Aruba involved with this case. Why does his rep suffer more than the other PIGS? People have seen sworn statements to police signed by the police where the 3 confessed. I assume that the cover-up team destroyed these as well. Arubans must think that we are as stupid and gullible as they are.

Wait a minute – if that recent comment was from the real Steve Croes (which I doubt), who, (may I ask) is “writing gossip”? Isn’t he the one that offered a lie about the activities of the 3 individuals? He actually OFFERED WRONG INFORMATION TO THE POLICE!! Isn’t there some type of crime against lying to the police about a high profile case (in this case, the only high profile case in Aruba). And then after he got out of jail, he was “fired” from the boss who claimed on TV to the whole world that he was a great guy? How can a DJ on a party boat get fired? It can’t be that detailed of a job that requires too much intelligence. If his reputation has been “tainted”, then he is the one that has tainted it. What person in their right mind would go to the police and lie to them about such a serious matter. He was probably trying to mislead the police to waste time, or simply looking for attention.

I just realized that since Aruba does not offer plea bargains under Dutch rule, and that maybe they don’t cut deals either. For instance, they cannot offer immunity to one Kalpoe brother in exchange for his testimony against Joran. Can someone tell me if this is correct? If it is, then their legal systems lack of flexibility is holding back solving this case. I guarantee you, offer those brothers immunity and they will sing like birds….. lol, I just cracked myself up. Their legal system is holding up solving this case. OF COURSE IT IS.

This is not possible in Aruba. As a father of a 17 year old Teen incostudy he have the rights to reviewing the statement of his son. When JvdS turn 18 year the father have no rights any more, for reviewing any statements only his Lawyer.

I have read several posts asking why Beth keeps making statments that have not been proven. For example that Joran has an 1/2 brother that is involved, that Joran and the Kaploes gave Nat a date rape drug, ect. This is a calculated ploy to get Joran or his father or the Kalpoes to sue her for libel. If she is sued for libel by one of them then it will start the affidavits and court involvement. She is trying to provoke them into suing her. Joran’s lawyer father knows this and it is why she has not been slapped with a lawsuit.

Whether or not that whole law suit thing is true or not with Steve Cores, the reputations and rights whom were hurt the most are the two security guards. Beth Twitty should get together with her millionare friend and cover the legal expenses of the 2 guards and sue Van Der Sloot and the Kalpoe brothers for making false statements which resulted in their arrest, resulting in psychological damage and uneccessary stress to their families and reputations.

I GUARANTEE YOU THAT YOU WILL FEEL MUCH BETTER IF YOU SIMPLY TELL THE TRUTH. i beg you to please help Natalee’s family find the truth about their daughter. Just imagine what your mother would be going through if it was you.

AS for all the postings slamming this man, PLEASE STOP. It is people like him that we need to come forward and help put an end to this tragic horror. Saying horrible things about the good people of Aruba is WRONG. As wrong as telling lies to police. (okay, not quite as bad but still wrong.) Face it there are bad people everywhere. We should not condemn all the good people that live in Aruba because of a few bad apples. I haven’t been there myself but my father traveled there many times and told me that the locals in Aruba are very good people that have always been nice. PLEASE DON’T PUNISH THE MANY FOR THE FEW.

Did you see the report on crime rates in the USA per 100.000 people. Compare that to Aruba’s crime rate per 100.000. What do you get?
There’s no way to get an accurate count on Aruba’s crime rate. It appears much of it is covered up to protect tourism.
