AP REPORTING: JORAN VANDERSLOOT TO BE RELEASED

ORANJESTAD, Aruba (AP) — A judge on Thursday ordered the release of a Dutch suspect in the disappearance of Alabama teen Natalee Holloway, the suspect’s father said.

Joran van der Sloot will be released Saturday morning, according to his father, Paul van der Sloot, who was told of the decision by the family’s attorney.

“The judge ruled there is no reason to keep Joran any longer on suspicion of murder,” he said.

But van der Sloot remains a suspect in the sexual assault of Holloway, he said.

“The judge ruled that he must remain at the disposal of pold.

Government officials couldn’t immediately confirm the report.
