If you find the 300-400 bullet holes, you win the grand prize
Micheal King (who lives in Mableton, a place I once lived) has posted the pictures of our favorite Italian Communists car after it was stopped by US soldiers. From what the pictures show, one of three things occurred:
1. The US Soldiers are brilliant marksmen by placing multiple bullets through the same hole.
2. The US soldiers are terrible marksmen, firing 300-400 rounds at the automobile and missing a huge percentage of them.
3. She is a lying #$%#$% communist, who has an ax to grind against the US and its Iraqi strategy and is using this to further her own aims.
What do you think?
Here is the link to Micheal’s site. I strongly recommend him to your blogroll.
Update: Michelle Malkin has a blown up version of one of the pictures.
Update2 – Rusty has some great versions of the shots… Wizbang is also on it.
Update 3 – Entered into the Traffic Jam at Outside the Beltway

Car looks in better shape than if you left it parked at the Paramus Mall.
Laurence Simon offers a proposed additional question for the driver’s licensing exam in Italy:
You are approaching a checkpoint where there are armed troops waving flashlights and firing warning shots over your vehicle. You:
a) Stop
b) Speed up
c) Immediately make a U-turn and head for the nearest cafe for expresso and gelato
d) Crap your pants
to which I add:
e) Scream and waive like an Arab terrorist to further get the Americans’ attention
f) Proceed upwind from checkpoint, throw up hands to surrender and wait for U.S. troops to pass out
g) Surrender to anyone on road prior to hitting checkpoint, explaining that Italy has a fine tradition of surrendering in modern times commencing with Ethiopia in 1896
h) Play “My Way” by Frank Sinatra on car horn as you approach
i) Put on sunglasses to cut down the glare from the flashlights
…..you are free to add to the list
Hey Red, try Woodbridge Mall- Someone left a turd on my hood there…
The bullets were made of Bondo and self repaired the car except for the glass and rubber. Still sorry for the poor agent who lost his life though. HE was the good guy in this. Too bad Ms Sgrena couldn’t have taken that one!!
A key component of the Communist dialectic is to lie your ass off.
I think this woman has lied her ass off right down to the spine.

Did anyone else notice the contextually generated Google ad at the bottom of this web page advertising “FAKE BULLET HOLES – Both decal and magnet. 12 styles, all look very real.”
Ms. Sgrena should have ordered several packs before filing her story.

We noticed it too, and had a good laugh. Google has better sense than that wacko.

And we know this is actually the car how?
The pictures are sourced from La Repulicca. Are they trustworthy?
Well we know of course how honest the US military is! I’m sure their investigation will expose the truth. Yeah right!

Here’s a possibility…
(4) The shots were fired from the rear or right side and entered through any part of the 75% of the car that isn’t shown in these photos. One Italian report has claims that the shots that hit Calipari and Sgrena came from the rear.
It would also be interesting to see the medical reports — that might help shed some light.
I tend to be suspicious of people who are overly confident of a conclusion based on photographic evidence that actually shows people obscuring the evidence itself.
…”uh, never mind those guys in the back with the tarp, they’re just readying it to sent to Italy, as promised.”
By the way, they never did receive that car in Italy…anybody here know why?
