Taping the ‘reenactment’ of Natalee’s case

ORANJESTAD (AAN): Last Sunday night, using the car that Police confiscated for the weekend from the Kalpoe brothers, they held a ‘reenactment’ to record for Dutch TV.

DIARIO’s photographer barely had the chance to take a picture, given that 3 different American TV crews were standing around and they did not want to bother ‘Recherche Yearwood’.

Has the police force declared war against the local press?

They want more witnesses to come forward this way.

For this reason, starting today, DIARIO is giving key witnesses and ‘alternative’ to give information. Read page 3.

Everything indicates that not much time is remaining for the Public Prosecutor to present its case of the disappearance of Natalee Holloway

ORANJESTAD(AAN): Recently, DIARIO tried to get in touch with Satish Kalpoe’s attorney, to ask him how his client is doing, given that recently, Joran van der Sloot went on various TV and radio channels and said that he is no longer friends with the Kalpoe brothers, because they still don’t want to admit that Satish came to pick him up at the beach the night that Natalee Holloway disappeared, to bring him back home.

Diario: Death aboard a ship seems to be a criminal act

Here are two stories that seem to dominate the news these days, Aruba and a death aboard a cruise ship. Normally these two news stories do nat share the same printed article, until now.

Diario: March 20, 2006; MORTO ABORDO DI TRAWLER PARCE MAS BIEN UN ACTO CRIMINAL

Death aboard a ship seems to be a criminal act

ORANJESTAD (AAN): It seems that in Aruba, authorities immediately ‘guli manda abao’ [swallowed?] the story of the crew members of the ‘Rachel S’ ship, which arrived in Aruba the Sunday of Carnival Grandi with a dead person on board.

There is a big possibility that the crew members ‘played a comedy’ which apparently turned bad, to cover up a possible crime that was committed on board.

The autopsy conducted in Aruba deduced that Bernard Ramsaran, 50 years of age, died of heart failure.

But now, an autopsy conducted in his country of Trinidad & Tobago, has deduced that Bernard died of something more sinister, ‘traumatic asphyxia’, which indicates that was strangled and choked! His death is nothing natural! It is a crime which took place on the high seas and now Interpol is involved.

The question is, how could Aruban authorities not discover this? The Trinidad & Tobago authorities discovered that Bernard’s body even had several marks of violence. Last Saturday, he was buried in his town of Rio Claro.

Interpol’s first mission is to find two of the crew members who possibly ‘lied’ about things turning bad immediately to divert the Aruban authorities who apparently also fell in the trap. Again, a negative light is directed towards Aruba and its police force.

DIARIO Editorial: An element called Tacopina

Diario, editorial; March 20, 2006
UN ELEMENTO CU YAMA TACOPINA! Jossy 1

There seems to be no love loss in the Jossy Mansur/Joe Tacopina relationship after viewing last nights Fox, ‘The Line Up’ and todays Diario editorial. Joe Tacopina seems to be making friends.

On one hand, I enjoyed Tacopina, because he made me laugh with his ridiculous statements. If in reality he is an attorney interested in the truth, he would not be planting so many lies which could even compete with those of his client.

Or this excerpt from Jossy’s editorial:

The types of expressions out of Tacopina do not seem those of a serious person, and even less of those of an attorney who believes in the truth.

Many of us would like to know where Joe Tacopina gets his information from and TACOhow he compares it to statements that have come from his client’s mouth. Joe Tacopina has gone on TV stating that Natalee Holloway was falling over drunk, yet his client has not stated that in interviews. In fact, Joran Van der Sloot states just the opposite.

VAN DER SLOOT: Oh… she’d been drinking, but she wasn’t drunk. I mean, she knew what she was doing.

It is Deepak Kalpoe that states Natalee was drunk.

“Judging by the way that the girl was dancing, I presumed that she was pretty drunk. Also, The girl walked swaying to Joran”.

So who is lying attorney Tacopina? Maybe Joe Tacopina has the wrong client. One thing is for sure, Jossy Mansur is certainly in the know as to the facts of this case. The other thing for certain is its hard to defend a client when they have told so many lies.

DIARIO Editorial: An element called Tacopina

Last night, the attorney who is representing Joran in the US found it appropriate to explain, in a lowly way, that I am prejudiced against Joran because his father was in the team who [strobe – handed over?] a few members of my family to the US.

There’s another element who does not know how to read Papiamento and has no notion what I have said about Joran. I have said on various occasions that I don’t know whether he is guilty or innocent! Furthermore, I don’t have any sort of prejudice against Joran or his father! I had no idea that Paul could have been in any commission which judged who is part of my family. That’s news to me!

Diario Editorial, Joran: a veritable factory of lies

Diario, Jossy Mansur; JORAN: UN BERDADERO FABRICA DI MENTIRA!
March 6, 2006

What does Jossy Mansur think of Joran Van der Sloot’s latest version of events? One needs to look no further than his latest editorial, Joran: a veritable factory of lies.

Innocent or guilty? This will come forward soon. Meanwhile, his factory of lies continues to produce his harvest of lies, one on top of the other, and was able to create by himself a mountain of lies higher than Hooiberg!

Jossy Mansur in his editorial is highly critical as are many of Joran’s ever changing story in an effort to continually point the finger away from himself. The issue of who picked Joran up at the beach has never changed for the Kalpoe’s. They have always contended that Joran did call them for a ride; however, they (Deepak not Satish) never picked Joran up. To the contrary, Joran Van der Sloot has changed his story from Deepak picked him up to Satish did. Stating that Deepak did not want to involve his younger brother in the situation. Once again attempting to implicate Deepak and rid the focus from Joran. What situation would that be?

Jossy Mansur questions much of what Joran has stated in these recent interviews as self-serving and designed to do one thing; deflect attention from him and to Deepak. What does Jossy Mansur think of Joran’s latest interview with Greta Van Susteren and the interview itself?

Again, I am not accusing Joran of nothing other than being a chronic, habitual and pathetic liar. Because he admitted openly of lying does not excuse the duty to reveal the truth that he continues to hide in his box of secrets.

Despite the multiplication of his lies, he was able to handle the interviewers how he wanted, because he has the ability to look the interviewer in the face and without flinching, lie how he deems fit! Greta disappointed me in the fact that she didn’t ask any (follow up ) questions about superficial and well rehearsed answers from Joran, because Greta has done a magnificent job until now of delving deeply in the facts surrounding the disappearance of Natalee.

Jossy like many of us has some issues with the latest Joran Van der Sloot interview; however, one of Jossy’s issues goes a bit further.

What’s now missing is an interviewer who knows all the details of the case very well, who is aware of all the declarations of Joran, Deepak, and Satish to the Aruba Police, who knows Joran’s background since he was 10 years old, and knows his sociological profile, to ask him cardinal questions that neither Current Affair, nor Nova, nor ABC, nor Greta were able to ask.

Read Jossy’s editorial in its entirety. (Hat Tip Translation: GetaGrip)
