Barack Obama Floats Transportation Tax that would Tax Your Car by the Mile

America, are you ready for this Obama “Hope & Change”?

The Barack Obama Administration is floating a plan that would tax individuals vehicles by the mile. Isn’t it amazing that they can continue to come up with new ways to tax Americans, but when it comes to finding sending cuts, they get alligator arms. what will they be taxing next … your dreams.

Obama finds a way to dodge his own vehicle mileage tax

The Obama administration has floated a transportation authorization bill that would require the study and implementation of a plan to tax automobile drivers based on how many miles they drive.

The plan is a part of the administration’s Transportation Opportunities Act, an undated draft of which was obtained this week by Transportation Weekly.

The White House, however, said the bill is only an early draft that was not formally circulated within the administration.

So now the government is going to track how many miles you drive? As stated by the Lonely Conservative, with gas prices escalating and people checking under their coach cushions for extra money for gas, the Obama Administration is looking to make “We the People” pay even more taxes.  UNREAL. Better stated at Weasel Zippers complete with one of the best pics ever … how can I best next destroy the economy.

Obama has a bounce in the polls; however, it won’t take long after continued talk of taxing Americans by the mile, poor jobs creation, escalated first time unemployment claims and rising gas prices … Obama’s poll numbers to sink sooner than later.

USA Today/Gallup Poll: Americans Favor Republicans Over Democrats with US Budget

Incumbent Obama will need a lot more than raising money to get reelected in 2012.

A recent USA Today/Gallup poll states that Americans favor Republicans over Democrats in handling the US federal budget. Shocker, you mean Americans do not trust tax and spend liberals to handle the budget and a President in Obama who has put drunken sailors to shame with his spending. The poll also showed that Americans preferred the GOP over Democrats on six of seven major issues facing the United States.

The federal budget was the only issue in which respondents clearly preferred one party over the other, with 48 percent favoring Republicans and 36 percent Democrats.

The poll found that Americans favored Republicans by smaller margins on four other issues: Afghanistan, the U.S. economy, immigration and jobs. Democrats held a small advantage on handling healthcare, the poll found.

Even though the one issue, health care, other polls show that Americans prefer to repeal Obamacare. making matters worse for Obama is the continued stagnant economy, lack of jobs, lingering unemployment and rising gas prices. Worse than Obama’s falling overall job approval rating is his poor approval rating in handling the economy. However, Obama’s overall performance as President can be summed up in American’s mood of the direction of the country. Only 25.8% of the people think that the country is headed in the right direction, while an incredible 67.5% think we are on the wrong track. Try getting reelected with those numbers.

What will Obama run on …

  1. Can’t do “Hope & Change”, been there done that.
  2. Can’t run as an Outside the Beltway candidate, he’s the incumbent.
  3. Can’t blame Bush, or will he?
  4. Can’t run on jobs created.
  5. Can’t run on the price of gas going up over 100% during his Presidency.
  6. Can’t run on his campaign promises of ending two wars and closing GITMO.

YIKES!

Obama Said What, Welcome to Liberal Math … “Not Spending Money Is Mortgaging America’s Future”

How did this guy get elected?

Ever wonder why the US economy is in the tank and cannot crawl out from the recession under President Barack Obama? Ever wonder why we have an out of control debt and under this President that has been record spending? One needs to look no further than Obama, the Mathematician in Chief …

As reported at CNS News comes the following “tax and spend” mentality of uber-Lib Barack Obama.

Deficits are not the only thing that could mortgage America’s future, President Barack Obama told Democratic donors in New York on Thursday. He stressed that if government does not spend money in certain areas, it would be mortgaging the country’s future.

“There’s more than one way to mortgage America’s future,” Obama said at The Town Hall in New York. “We mortgage that future if we don’t get a handle on our deficit and debt, but we also mortgage it if we’re not investing in those things that will assure the promise of the American Dream for the next generation.”

As the Gateway Pundit says, “Wait a minute, I thought a mortgage was borrowing. Now not borrowing is mortgaging? And they wonder why we want to see his college transcripts.” This man has to go in 2012.

CBS News/New York Times Poll: 63% Oppose Raising Debt Ceiling

An overwhelming majority of American people want Obama and the federal government to get their act in gear, spend within their means, reduce the deficit and stop spending like drunken sailors.

According to a recent CBS News/New York Times poll, 63% of Americans oppose raising the debt limit while only a meager 27% support raising it. 83% of Republicans oppose raising the debt limit; however, more importantly to Barack Obama and Democrats, 64% of independents oppose the continued irresponsible spending of the powers that be. As stated at Hot Air, after months of Obama minions going out on to talk shows and communicating to We the People ala Chicken Little that t the sky is falling … they are either failing or the people are not buying it.

Despite Obama administration warnings that failing to do so would devastate the economy, a clear majority of Americans say they oppose raising the debt limit, a new CBS News/New York Times poll shows.

Just 27 percent of Americans support raising the debt limit, while 63 percent oppose raising it.

Eighty-three percent of Republicans oppose raising the limit, along with 64 percent of independents and 48 percent of Democrats. Support for raising the debt limit is just 36 percent among Democrats, and only 14 percent among Republicans.

Obama, the Dems and Libs cannot say that the poll is skewed, because this is a partisan Rasmussen poll against raising the debt ceiling. Take a good look … a CBS News/New York Times poll. Although, speaking of Rasmussen, only 22% of Americans think the country is headed in the right direction. Yikes! What will come of this standoff. However, as Patterico Pontifications points out, will the GOP have the guts to actually make a stand and do the right thing for the people and future generations to come? The answer probably is not, if the past means anything. When will this party ever get a spine? How many elections must go by before “We the People” flush the party of the useless Republicans?

Barack Obama Misery Index … Americans Mood At Lowest Level in 2 Years

Welcome to more “Hope & Change” from President Barack Obama … The Obama “MISERY” index.

As Barack Obama is out on the west coast hob-knobbing with libs and Hollywood types in full campaign mode blaming the previous administration for all the ills of the United States, America’s mood is at the lowest level in two years. However, Obama has yet to take responsibility for his failed policies and agenda of the past 2+ years of his presidency. There is no one else to blame but Obama for the rising gas prices, the out of control spending, the continued lack of jobs being created and the record federal deficit. The buck stops with him and he will be held accountable in 2012.

Americans are more pessimistic about the nation’s economic outlook and overall direction than they have been at any time since President Obama’s first two months in office, when the country was still officially ensnared in the Great Recession, according to the latest New York Times/CBS News poll.

Amid rising gas prices, stubborn unemployment and a cacophonous debate in Washington over the federal government’s ability to meet its future obligations, the poll presents stark evidence that the slow, if unsteady, gains in public confidence earlier this year that a recovery was under way are now all but gone.

Under Obama the United States has developed an entirely new type of “misery index”.  One that Americans are feeling on a personal level with foreclosures, bankruptcies, unemployment and pain at the gas pump. All of these economic issues have caused Americans to be pessimistic about Barack Obama. As the Gateway Pundit emphasizes, “Disapproval of Mr. Obama’s handling of the economy has never been worse, up to 57 percent of Americans.”
