Rick Santorum’s Youngest Daughter Bella Hospitalized … Cancels All Florida Events … Say a Prayer
File this one under having the correct priorities in life.
There was a news story out on Friday that Republican Presidential primary hopeful Rick Santorum had left Florida and gone home to Pennsylvania. Many speculated that maybe Santorum was getting out of the race. However, the story is much more important than any political election. It is now being reported that Rick Santorum’s youngest daughter Bella was hospitalized. Santorum had canceled all of his political events to be with his family and his daughter.
Rick Santorum’s 3-year old daughter has been hospitalized in Philadelphia, his campaign said Saturday.
“Rick and his wife Karen are admitting their daughter Bella to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia this evening,” Santorum spokesman Hogan Gidley said in a statement.
Isabella Santorum, one of the presidential candidate’s seven children, has a genetic disorder known as Trisomy 18 that causes people to be born with an extra copy of the 18th chromosome. The disorder causes developmental abnormalities, and half of infants born with the condition do not survive for more than a week after birth, according to the National Institutes of Health.
It was not initially stated why she was hospitalized; however, as reported at ABC News, Bella was admitted to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, PA with pneumonia.
The reason Bella Santorum was admitted to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Saturday night is because she has pneumonia in both of her lungs, a campaign aide told ABC News.
The 3-year-old, who has the serious genetic disorder Trisomy 18, is not on a ventilator, though, which is a very good sign.
Please all say a prayer for the Santorum’s and their precious three year old daughter Bella.
Please say a prayer for the Santorum family and little Bella. Let me also say, KUDOS to Rick Santorum for having the proper priorities. No political office is more important than the health of a child. None. Get well soon Bella!!!
BTW Newt, forget Santorum dropping out, maybe you should! Stop worrying about others and worry about yourself. You are getting trounced in Florida and it has nothing to do but anyone but yourself.

Absolutely Despicable: Wonkette Editor Jack Stuef … Reprehensible Birthday Greeting to Sarah Palin’s Son Trig
WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE LEFT? … YOU ACTUALLY THINK THE IS FUNNY OR APPROPRIATE! This is how the LEFT honors a baby’s birthday with special needs.
File this one under, UNREAL. Those on the LEFT have lost their souls. Sorry, but there is no justification or rational behind attacking a child with Down Syndrome. NONE!!! This is pathetic and sick, even for Wonkette. Sorry, I will never link to such a most; however, will do so to Mediaite.com as they report on this hateful and insensitive story. Who knew that jokes about Down Syndrome, incest, child rape, and fetal alcohol syndrome was humor. But when the LEFT attacks Sarah Palin, all things are perfectly ok. Imagine if those at Wonkette made similar comments about Obama’s daughters.
Political humor website Wonkette has long been trending toward nihilistic snark for snark’s sake, but Jack Stuef’s column “honoring” Trig Palin’s birthday is about the most irredeemably vile, unfunny thing I’ve ever seen. As if jokes about Trig’s Down Syndrome aren’t bad enough on their own, Stuef goes the extra mile to pen kneeslappers about incest, child rape, and fetal alcohol syndrome. I don’t want to reproduce too much of it here, but this quote is fairly representative:
News Busters states it best … “What has become of today’s liberalism that makes it acceptable to attack the mentally handicapped if they or their parents are conservatives?” Seriously folks, you mean the LEFT who claim to champion the underdog and the down trodden find it perfectly ok to attack a child with Downs as long as their parents do not agree with their political agenda. ARE YOU THAT SICK!

No Shame: Obama’s White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel … “f—ing retarded!”
Obama Administration used the “R” word again …
Why does this White House continually have to apologize for their insensitive comments? How can they not think that it would be inappropriate from the outset? First it was Barack Obama and now Rahm Emanuel finds himself in hot water after using slurs against mentally challenged Americans. Ok, he said … “f—ing retarded!”
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) called Monday evening for White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel’s firing over remarks he allegedly made about the intellectually disabled.
Palin, the mother of a child with Down’s Syndrome, called on President Barack Obama to end Emanuel’s tenure as chief of staff for having allegedly called participants in a strategy session “f—ing retarded.”
Sarah Palin called out Rahm Emanuel and demanded that Emanuel be fired on her Facebook page. The question is, what is going on with this Administration that begs everyone else to be civil, bi-partisan and cordial, while they act like a bunch of inconsiderate and evil spirited individuals?
Why is it ok for this Administration to make continued insulting and derogatory comments and slurs at others while their minions claim that all people who oppose Obama and his policies are racists?
It was not that ling ago when President Barack Hussein Obama went on The Tonight Show and thought it was cute and funny to make funny of the “Special Olympics”.It is obvious that this Administration did not mean the apology, not learned anything from the “teachable” moment.

Special Olympics Founder, Eunice Kennedy Shriver in Critical Condition Cape Cod Hospital
The champion of special needs individuals hospitalized in critical condition.
“Let me win, but if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt.”
88 year old Eunice Kennedy Shriver, the sister of the late President John F. Kennedy and founder of the Special Olympics, was hospitalized on Friday in critical condition. Family members, including her daughter Maria Shriver and husband California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, flew into Cape Cod, Mass to be at Eunice Kennedy Shriver’s bedside. She is reported to be in critical but stable condition at a Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis, Massachusetts.
“Every person, regardless of whatever different abilities they may have, can contribute, can be a source of joy, can beam with pride and love.” –Eunice Kennedy Shriver
Eunice Kennedy Shriver is the founder and honorary chairwoman of the Special Olympics. All politics aside, Eunice Kennedy Shriver is a personal hero of mine. Her tireless work with special needs children and individuals with intellectual disabilities is to be applauded. Any one who has ever taken part in Special Olympics in any capacity knows just what an amazing and reward life altering experience it is. To be a volunteer for Special Olympics one would never look at the Olympics in the same manner ever again
Shriver is renowned in her own right as the founder and honorary chairwoman of the Special Olympics, which helps 3 million people with intellectual disabilities in nearly 200 countries around the world.
Go to Special Olympics.org and learn more about this truly great organization
From the Cape Cod Times:
The entire Shriver family has gathered around the ailing matriarch, including her Alzheimer’s stricken husband Sargent Shriver, her grandchildren and all her children, including Maria Shriver and her husband California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.
“The family is grateful for the prayers of her many friends,” said Kirsten Suto Seckler, spokeswoman for the Special Olympics in Washington, D.C. “We are with the family at this time in our hearts,” she said by phone.
Shriver has been in the Hyannis hospital for about a week, said Cape Cod Hospital spokeswoman Robin Lord.
