Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz Wins The 2014 Value Voters Summit Presidential Straw Poll … Mocked MSM & PC Police with Undocumented White House Visitor Joke
America, if you really want to elect a true Conservative to turn the country around, you best get serious about Ted Cruz.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) wowed them at the 2014 Values Voters Summit and won the straw poll for the second year in a row. Ted Cruz won with 25%, former Johns Hopkins University neurosurgeon and political newbie Ben Carson came in second with 20%, while former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee came in third, with 12%. Carson also came in first in the polling for vice president, winning 22% of the votes. Just a note to those at Value Voter Summit, Huckabee is not a conservative.
But Ted Cruz was the star of the show and had the crowd laughing with joke about the recent White House fence jumper, nailing the MSM, political correctness and illegal immigration all in one.
“We should hold the media to account. Because I will say in their reporting on this person who broke into the White House, they really have not used the politically correct term and we should insist that ABC, NBC, CBS, they refer to the visitor according to the term that is politically correct, an undocumented White House visitor.

Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz won the Value Voters Summit presidential straw poll on Saturday.
The crowd burst onto applause on Saturday, as Family Research Council President Tony Perkins announced that Cruz won 25 percent of votes at the annual Washington conference.
The victory is a big victory to the Republican firebrand and Tea Party icon, coming just a day after he drew standing ovations with a religious and emotional speech that blasted ObamaCare, congressional Democrats and called for Republicans to take over the White House in 2016.
Cruz also won the straw poll in 2013.
Coming in second was neurosurgeon Ben Carson, a political novice who has a large following in conservative circles but said earlier this week that there is a “strong” likelihood that he would run for president. He won 20 percent of the votes.
Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R) came in third, with 12 percent of the vote.
As a signal of Carson’s popularity at the summit, the former Johns Hopkins University neurosurgeon came in first in the polling for vice president, winning 22 percent of the votes.

Texas Senator Ted Cruz Wins 2016 Presidential Straw Poll at a Republican Leadership Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana
If Ted Cruz is Constitutionally allowed to run for President … He will be a real threat to Democrats and establishment Republicans …
Texas Senator Ted Cruz won the 2016 Presidential straw poll at a Republican Leadership Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana. Cruz finished first with 30.33%, Dr. Ben Carson second with 29.38% and Kentucky Senator Rand Paul finished third with 10.43%. They were followed by former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee and Texas Governor Rick Perry rounded out the top five, at 5.06% and 4.90%, respectively. Moderate RINO’s Florida’s former Governor Jeb Bush came in 7th with 4.42% and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie came in dead last with 1.11%. During his speech Cruz said that Republicans would take back the Senate, they will retire Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-LA) and remove Harry Reid as Majority Leader.
Cruz finished in first place in the annual conference’s presidential straw poll at 30.33%. Dr. Ben Carson, a Fox News commentator and conservative activist, finished in second with 29.38% while Sen. Rand Paul, R-Kentucky, was third with 10.43%.
Fox News host and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and Texas Governor Rick Perry rounded out the top five, at 5.06% and 4.90%, respectively.
Neither Carson nor Paul spoke at the conference, but their support was a show of confidence by the traditionally more conservative crowd. The annual meeting of activists features of who’s who of big-name Republican politicians. It is an important appearance for potential presidential candidates to make.
More moderate Republicans also skipped the conference, but many fared much worse in the straw poll. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie came in dead last with 1.11% while Florida’s former Gov. Jeb Bush and current Sen. Marco Rubio and came in seventh and eighth at 4.42% and 3.32 %, respectively.
Nobody Cares what any politicians in Washington says. Power in politics, sovereignty in America is with We the People!
MUST WATCH VIDEO
Ted Cruz, an ardent defender of The Bill of Rights and the Second Amendment said during his speech, “In Texas, we define gun control real simple. That’s hittin’ what you aim at.” Cruz Also went on to say, “that following the tragic shooting in Newtown, CT the president didn’t do what she should have done. What he should have done is he should have stood up and said we are going to go after violent criminals and we are going to come down on violent criminals like a ton of bricks. instead he used it as an excuse to come after the rights of law abiding citizens.”
Cruz consistently pointed out that Democrats and establishment gray-beard Republicans both says that things can’t get done. Yet time after time in examples of drone strikes against Americans, Second Amendment gun control, foreign affairs and provisions in the International monetary fund. All won by conservatives.
Too often the establishment GOP says it can’t be done because they are afraid to take a position. In order for there to be change, not only must Democrats go, so must the establishment Republicans who have long forgot what they were sent to Washington, DC to do.
THE CONSERVATIVE BATTLE AGAINST OBAMACARE: HOW DO YOU WIN ELECTIONS … YOU DON’T WIN IT BY STANDING FOR NOTHING …
Cruz went on to blast the establishment same old-same old way of doing things within the GOP of trying to win elections. There is a cluster of political consultants who keep running losing campaigns, making the same mistakes and keep coming back to donors to make the same failed mistakes that did not win the previous times. He stressed that the way you win elections is you stand for principle and you empower the people.
Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) Wins CPAC Presidential Straw Poll in a Landslide … 2nd Sen. Ted Cuz (TX), 3rd Ben Carson
Look for Democrats and their liberal MSM minions to go after the rising new anti-establishment star of the Conservative movement, Rand Paul.
Rand Paul wins the presidential straw poll at CPAC going away. Paul received 31% of the vote, while his fellow anti-establishment Republican Texas Senator Ted Cruz finished in second place with 11%. Neurosurgeon Ben Carson, who came to prominence when he let America and Barack Obama know what he felt about Obamacare at the 2013 National Prayers Breakfast, finished third with 9%. Paul is a very dangerous and formidable opponent for Democrats as he energizes the GOP base and brings in the young and libertarian vote.
Rand Paul handily won the presidential straw poll at the Conservative Political Action Conference Saturday, one gauge of the Republican base’s mood less than two years before the 2016 primary season kicks off.
The Kentucky senator received 31 percent, far ahead of second place Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), who received 11 percent. Neurosurgeon Ben Carson finished third with 9 percent, ahead of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who received 8 percent.
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum tied for fifth place, with 7 percent.
Um, Chris Christie who? The Republican that the media just drools over, including Fox News, finished distant 4th.
- Sen. Rand Paul – KY (31%) – Although I do not agree with all of his policies, Paul is a Conservative and breath of fresh air from the power-elite GOP establishment.
- Sen. Ted Cruz – TX (11%) – A Conservative rock star, who if he can run, would make a great President and follow the US Constitution.
- Neurosurgeon Ben Carson (9%) – From out of nowhere Carson has taken the Conservatives by storm. I would vote for Ben in a heartbeat.
- Gov. Chris Cristie – NJ (8%) – RINO has no chance of winning GOP primary if Republicans ever want to be anything more than Democrat-light.
- Gov. Scott Walker – WI (7%) – A solid GOP governor who will one day be a president.
- Former Sen Rick Santorum – PA (7%)
- Sen. Marco Rubio – FL (6%) – His stance on immigration amnesty has made Rubio toast with the base.
- Rep. Paul Ryan – WI (3%) – The base not enamored with establishment Republican and 2012 VP nominee.
- Gov. Rick Perry – TX (3%) – His performance in the 2012 GOP primaries may be too much to overcome.
Four others pulled 2%: Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.
Rand Paul energizes the faithful at 2014 CPAC.
While other addresses at this year’s CPAC focused on specific policies and red-meat issues like gay marriage and ObamaCare, Paul spoke in broad metaphorical terms of the need to “stand together for liberty.”
“It isn’t good enough to pick the lesser of two evils,” he said. “We must elect men of principle and conviction and action who will lead us back to greatness. There is a great and tumultuous battle underway, not for the future of the Republican Party, but for the future of the country.”
Paul framed the libertarian-ideas that have gained prominence within the party in recent years in historical terms, positioning his values as descending from the nation’s Founding Fathers. Paul name-dropped foundational American thinkers ranging from Daniel Webster to John Adams, James Madison to Montesquieu, but also quoted Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters.
One of his biggest applause lines seemed specifically geared toward the digital generation that has special resonance in the wake of the ongoing debate over privacy and NSA surveillance.
“I believe what you do on your cellphone is none of their damn business,” he said, to extended cheers from the crowd.
Rand Paul released the following statement touting his win:
“The fight for liberty continues, and we must continue to stand up and say: We’re free and no one, no matter how well-intentioned, will take our freedoms from us,” he said. “Together we will stand up for the Constitution. Together we will fight for what is right. Thank you, and onwards to victory.
Obama Enemies List: Ben Carson Visited by IRS after His Critial Comments of Barack Obama at National Prayer Breakfast Earlier This Year
Is the IRS acting as President Barack Obama’s personal revenge and intimidation department?
Earlier this year at the National Prayer Breakfast former Johns Hopkins neurosurgeon Ben Carson became a household name and an instant sensation with Conservatives and Republicans when he openly criticized President Obama’s 2010 healthcare reform law (Obamacare), while Obama was sitting just a few feet away. Enter Chicago-style politics and the politics of fear and intimidation. So what did Dr. Carson get for his Constitutional right to free speech and criticism of Obamacare … why a visit from the IRS of course.
At an event in Birmingham, Ala. Monday night, former Johns Hopkins neurosurgeon Ben Carson revealed that he had received a visit from the Internal Revenue Service following his much-noted remarks at a National Prayer Breakfast earlier this year.
“I had my first encounter with the IRS this year, unsurprisingly after the prayer breakfast,” Carson told an audience that at the annual Business Council of Alabama Chairman’s Dinner, according to a report from Cliff Sims of the Montgomery, Ala.-based Yellowhammer News.
Ben Carson’s speech at the National Prayer Breakfast
Talk about your coincidences, eh? What are the odds that an individual has their first encounter with the IRS following a highly publicized speech that criticized Barack Obama’s signature piece of legislation with the president just mere feet away. With the IRS facing the scandal of targeting conservative groups and the Tea Party, how much of a stretch is it that they would attempt to nip this in the bud ad intimidate Ben Carson? What kind of a police state do we live in under the Obama presidency? Sorry, but the actions of the IRS can hardly be considered random. One has to wonder whether the IRS has become Obama’s storm troopers. Talk about a government abuse of power. No matter what the party is in office or who the president is, this kind of crap cannot be allowed in a Republic.
Remember when Obama joked about using the IRS to audit individuals … I guess we are left to wonder whether he was joking or not? I can bet that Ben Carson, the Tea Party and other Conservative groups are not laughing.
UPDATE I: Washington Times - IRS targeted Dr. Ben Carson after Prayer Breakfast speech.
Just months after he gave a speech earlier this year that challenged America’s leadership in President Obama’s presence, Dr. Ben Carson was targeted by IRS agents who requested to review his real estate holdings and then conducted a full audit without finding any wrongdoing.
“I guess it could be a coincidence, but I never had been audited before and never really had any encounters with the IRS,” Dr. Carson said in an interview Thursday with The Washington Times. “But it certainly would make one suspicious because we know now the IRS has been used for political purposes and therefore actions like this come under suspicion.”
Ben Carson Says White Liberals Are “The Most Racist People” In America on Mark Levin Radio Show
Why we love Dr. Ben Carson, he calls it like it is an is unafraid to do so.
Last night on Mark Levin’s radio show Dr. Ben Carson, the new voice of conservatism, discussed the “left-wing media’s” attempt to attack him and stop his speech on many issues and views on gay marriage and religion. As Carson has stated in the past, political correctness, threatens to destroy our nation. Carson states that “they” need to shut me up completely and the reason why the attacks against him are so vicious. There is nothing like a comment from a Black conservative for the LEFT to lose their minds. Dr. Carson told Levin that, in his experience, white liberals are the “most racist people there are.”
From Mediaite:
“They need to shut me up, they need to delegitimize me,” Carson told the radio host while explaining why he believes the media has scorned him for lumping homosexuality in with unsavory sexual acts like bestiality and pedophilia.
Levin added that the doctor has been attacked by “white liberals” because he is a black conservative, to which Carson replied: “They are the most racist people there are. Because they put you in a little category, a little box. You have to think this way. How could you dare come off the plantation?”
“I don’t have a particular agenda that I’m pushing,” he added. “So it would be particularly difficult for them to trip me up.”
As Weasel Zippers aptly states, Libs prove Ben Carson’s point by calling him a “token” or “uncle tom” in 3 … 2 … 1.
With all due respect to Bill O’Reilly … DR. BEN CARSON IS THE IS THE SECOND MOST FEARED MAN OF THE LEFT BEHIND RUSH AND MIGHT EVEN WELL BE #1!
