RSSObama & WH Ask Georgetown University to Cover Christ Symbols Before Speech
Prior to a speech at Georgetown University, President Obama and the White House asked the university to take down of all things, Jesus. The White House asked Georgetown to cover a monogram symbolizing Jesus’ name in Gaston Hall. A rather fitting metaphor for Barack Obama.
Julie Bataille from the university’s press office e-mailed me that the White House had asked that all university signage and symbols behind the stage in Gaston Hall be covered.
“The White House wanted a simple backdrop of flags and pipe and drape for the speech, consistent with what they’ve done for other policy speeches,” she wrote. “Frankly, the pipe and drape wasn’t high enough by itself to fully cover the IHS and cross above the GU seal and it seemed most respectful to have them covered so as not to be seen out of context.”
The first question one would ask is, did he do this in the past while visiting other religious institutions? Of course the answer is no and Flopping Aces has the scoop. It would appear when Obama visited the Blue Mosque in Turkey, he did so without a similar request.

Obama’s Sec. of State Hillary Clinton with Another Blunder at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine … Who Painted it
Oops, she did it again!!! Being uniformed seems to be a prerequisite of Obama cabinet members. It’s amateur hour at the Obama White House happens again …with the following comments of “who painted it” and “you have a marvelous virgin” … WTF
During a recent visit to Mexico, Sec. of State Hillary Clinton went to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe and laid followers. After observing the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Hillary asked the unthinkable and uniformed questions, “who painted it.”
Msgr. Monroy took Mrs. Clinton to the famous image of Our Lady of Guadalupe, which had been previously lowered from its usual altar for the occasion.
After observing it for a while, Mrs. Clinton asked “who painted it?” to which Msgr. Monroy responded “God!”
First it was Hillary messing up the Russian translation of “overcharge” and the reset button gaffe.

Obama to Speak at Notre Dame Commencement Ceremony … Pro-Abortion President at Catholic University?
DISGRACE: Principles have to count for something and without being maintained, we are nothing. How does an academic institution founded on religious princliples turn their back on everything that they stand for just for one man? Just a reminder to Notre Dame Administration, Notre Dame, means “Our Lady”
Blessed Virgin Mary, who can worthily repay you with praise and thanks for having rescued a fallen world by your generous consent! Receive our gratitude, and by your prayers obtain the pardon of our sins. Take our prayers into the sanctuary of heaven and enable them to make our peace with God.
Holy Mary, help the miserable, strengthen the discouraged, comfort the sorrowful, pray for your people, plead for the clergy, intercede for all women consecrated to God. May all who venerate you feel now your help and protection. Be ready to help us when we pray, and bring back to us the answers to our prayers. What would Jesus say about the sanctity of life?
The last time I checked the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, IN was a private, Catholic University that had not accepted and federal Barack Obama bailout money. The last time I also checked the Catholic Church was against abortion and murder. So how does Barack Obama, one of the most radical, liberal, pro-abortion President ever to grace the White House who supports abortion. get asked to speak at the ND Commencement Ceremony? The president of the University of Notre Dame, Father John Jenkins, has just given another reason for people to hate Notre Dame and destroy it in the process.

1 Dead and 4 Wounded at Shooting at First Baptist Church in Illinois, Update: Pastor Fred Winters Dead
Sadly, there has been another church shooting …
A gunman opened fire at approximately just before 9:00 am ET this morning at the 
First Baptist Church in Maryville, IL. The shooter injured 5 people before being stabbed by a parishioner. The gun man is reportedly in custody.
UPDATE I: The pastor of the First Baptist Church in Maryville, IL has been shot to death. CNN is reporting that Pastor Fred Winters has died after being shot 3 times by the unknown gun man. Pastor Fred Winters was pronounced dead on arrival to the hospital.
Fred Winters, the pastor of the First Baptist Church of Maryville, was shot and killed during the 8 a.m. service, and the attacker and two parishioners suffered knife wounds in the attack, Illinois state police spokesman Ralph Timmins told CNN affiliate KSDK.
