Trayvon Martin Murder Case: George Zimmerman Released from Jail on $1 Million Bond in Trayvon Martin Shooting

Five weeks after Kenneth R. Lester Jr. of Seminole County Court revoked George Zimmerman bond, Zimmerman was released again from jail on a $1 million bond. However, not only was the bond much higher this time, George Zimmerman’s release includes much greater restrictions like having to remain in Seminole county. Zimmerman has other restrictions as well, he must wear an electronically monitor, can’t open a bank account, obtain a passport or set foot on the grounds of the local airport. He has a 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew.

George Zimmerman has been charged in the second degree murder of Trayvon Martin.

The terms of Mr. Zimmerman’s release include tighter restrictions than before, including a requirement that he remain within Seminole County. One of Mr. Zimmerman’s lawyers, Don West, said in an interview that his client would be living in a “safe house” with his wife until a more permanent residence is found.

Mr. West also said the defense intended to petition the judge to give Mr. Zimmerman more geographic flexibility while he is out on bond.

“We plan to ask the judge to expand the boundaries of where he can live, certainly beyond the county and perhaps outside of the state because I think his safety would be easier to protect if he is farther away from Sanford,” Mr. West said.

Circuit Judge Kenneth Lester Jr. Sets New George Zimmerman Bond at $1 Million … Makes Rather Personal Opinions During Ruling

Once again George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch individual who has been charged with second degree murder of Trayvon Martin has been granted bond again.

Circuit Court Judge Kenneth Lester Jr. set bond today for George Zimmerman for $1 million. Wow, $1 million is rather steep as compared to the initial bond that was provided. The judge deemed Zimmerman a flight risk. According to Zimmerman’s attorney, they have enough in Zimmerman’s legal defense fund to put up 10% of the bond for George Zimmerman’s release.

Zimmerman’s Bond … One Million Dollars!!!

A judge Thursday ordered George Zimmerman, the Neighborhood Watch volunteer who shot and killed Trayvon Martin, released on $1 million bail but called the defendant a manipulator and said it appeared he had been preparing to flee the country.

It was not clear how long it would take the 28-year-old Zimmerman to arrange his release. It could be soon.

He has enough money. In a blog post Thursday evening, defense attorney Mark O’Mara wrote that he would be working to free Zimmerman over the next several hours and would dip deeply into a legal defense fund that has a balance of $211,000, more than enough to cover the 10-percent non-refundable portion charged by most bonding companies.

However, to hear this judge talk I really have to wonder just how fair a trial that Zimmerman is going to receive. Does this judge have a built in prejudice against Zimmerman because of the misrepresentation that he an his wife did with regards to their funds in the first bond hearing?

Trayvon Martin Murder Trial: George Zimmerman To Appear in Court this Morning For Bail Bond Hearing Part II, Hopes to Go Free (VIDEO)

Will George Zimmerman get bond the second time around?

George Zimmerman hopes that today’s bond court appearance goes a bit better than the last time he faced the court in a bond hearing. I think its safe to say that Zimmerman, the neighborhood watchman who is charged with second degree murder in the death of Trayvon Martin, will be completely truthful. As reported at ABC News, Orlando defense attorney Mark Lippman said that whether or not Lester grants Zimmerman bail, he is likely to “receive a tongue-lashing from the judge.”

George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watchman charged with murder in the shooting death of teenager Trayvon Martin, hopes a judge will agree to let him out of jail today.

Zimmerman, 28, will appear in court this morning at bail hearing and faces the prospect of a prolonged stay in jail if his plea is rejected.

It is Zimmerman’s second appearance before Circuit Court Judge Kenneth Lester . During the last one on April 20 he sat stone faced as his wife brazenly lied to the court about the Zimmerman’s finances.

If George Zimmerman is granted bail, it is safe to say that it will be much larger than the previous one of $150,000 that was revoked when it was determined that George Zimmerman and his wife had perjured themselves with regards to assets. Shellie Zimmerman, the wife of George Zimmerman was arrested on perjury charges in connection with misrepresenting facts in the first bond hearing.

UPDATE I: Watch the Zimmerman bail hearing live HERE.

UPDATE II: The Zimmerman defense  is presenting the facial and head injuries sustained by George Zimmerman the night of the altercation between Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin.

Defense has also presented to the court that the defense fund, that was ate the heart of bail being revoked from the first bond hearing, is now under the supervision and control of an independent trustee.

During today’s hearing, George Zimmerman’s father took the stand and testified that the voice on the one of the 911 calls yelling for help was that of his son’s George.

George Zimmerman’s father listened to frantic howls for help overheard in a 911 call today and told a Florida courtroom that the voice “was absolutely George’s.”

Zimmerman’s father, Robert Zimmerman, took the stand during a bail hearing for his son. Zimmerman is charged with second degree murder in the shooting death of unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin.

The hearing has come to and end, Court Judge Kenneth Lester will give his decision on bail next week.

Things That Make You Go Hmmm … George Zimmerman Passed Police Lie Detector Test Day After Death of Trayvon Martin

Add yet anther tid-bit of factual information that make it even more incredible that George Zimmerman was charged with second degree murder. Yet another piece of evidence that makes you go hmmm …

As reported at The Smoking Gun, a day after the death of 14 year old Trayvon Martin, George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watchman who has been charged with second degree murder,  passed a police lie detector test when asked if he confronted the teenager and whether he feared for his life “when you shot the guy as per documents released by Florida prosecutors. well how about that, Zimmerman passed a voice stress test when asked, “Did you confront the guy you shot?’ He answered, “No.” He was also asked, “Were you in fear for your life, when you shot the guy.” Zimmerman replied, “Yes.”

According to a “confidential report” prepared by the Sanford Police Department, Zimmerman, 28, willingly submitted to a computer voice stress analyzer (CVSA) “truth verification” on February 27.  Investigators concluded that he “has told substantially the complete truth in regards to this examination.”

Zimmerman, the report noted, “was classified as No Deception Indicated (NDI).”

Along with questions about whether his first name was George and if it was Monday, Zimmerman was asked, “Did you confront the guy you shot?’ He answered, “No.” He was also asked, “Were you in fear for your life, when you shot the guy.” Zimmerman replied, “Yes.”

So why again was George Zimmerman charged with second degree murder? Maybe these facts that will be put into evidence are the things that had police not arrest Zimmerman the night of the Trayvon martin shooting? Then again, as stated at Weasel Zippers, its not as though facts have been the determining factor in the pursuit of the truth, in fact it has been more of a  racism witch hunt to convict George Zimmerman.

George Zimmerman’s Reenactment of What Happened the Night Trayvon Martin was Shot to Death (VIDEO)

Things that make you go Hmm …

WOW, this is quite interesting, a George Zimmerman reenactment of events given to investigators. A reenactment of George Zimmerman discussing what happened  in Sanford, FL on Feb. 26 , 2012 was released by Zimmerman’s defense attorney on the website gzlegalcase.com, a website managed by the Zimmerman defense team. In the video Zimmerman gives a blow by blow description of how the fight began and depicts Martin as the aggressor, a key point as his legal team builds his defense on Florida’s controversial “stand your ground”

From ABC News:

“He took my head and slammed it against the concrete several times, and each time I thought my head was going to explode and I thought I was going to lose consciousness,” George Zimmerman told police the day after he shot and killed Trayvon Martin.

“I started screaming for help,” but Martin pressed his hands over Zimmerman’s mouth and nose, he said. “He told me to shut the f&#k up, and I was suffocating.”

Zimmerman told police he was lying on the ground, but his head was on the concrete.

“I didn’t want him to keep slamming my head on the concrete so I kind of shifted. But when I shifted my jacket came up…and it exposed my firearm. That’s when he said you are going to die tonight. He took one hand off my mouth, and slid it down my chest. I took my gun aimed it at him and fired.”

ABC News is licking their chops that this is a gold mine for the prosecution. However, for the defense it could be as well. Why would a guilty man do such an interview? Um, newsflash … what if Zimmerman is telling the truth?
