Mitt Romney Doubles Down and Slams Barack Obama’s Attack on Business Owners, Says “The Context is Worse Than the Quote”
Welcome to Barack Obama’s, “I voted for it before I voted against it”political train wreck.
Mitt Romney appeared in an interview with Larry Kudlow on the Kudlow Report las night. When asked about Barack Obama’s now infamous quote, “If you’ve got a business … you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen,” Mitt Romney stated, I found the full Obama speech more disconcerting that the actual line ... “the context is worse than the quote”. The foolish comment by Obama will turn out to be the President’s “I voted for it before I voted against it” mishap ala John Kerry fame and turn the tide of voter perception of what Barack Obama is really all about.
KUDLOW: Why do you think President Obama, what did he mean, if you’ve got a business, you didn’t build it, someone else made that happen? He claims it’s being taken out of context. What do you think it means? Do you think this is Obama anti-business, anti-entrepreneur? Or do you think maybe he has been treated unfairly?
Gov. ROMNEY: Well, just read the whole speech. I found the speech even more disconcerting than just that particular line. The context is worse than the quote. The context, he says, you know, you think you’ve been successful because you’re smart, but he says a lot of people are smart. You think you’ve been successful because you work hard, a lot of people work hard. This is an ideology which says hey, we’re all the same here, we ought to take from all and give to one another and that achievement, individual initiative and risk-taking and success are not to be rewarded as they have in the past. It’s a very strange and in some respects foreign to the American experience type of philosophy. We have always been a nation that has celebrated success of various kinds. The kid that gets the honor roll, the individual worker that gets a promotion, the person that gets a better job. And in fact, the person that builds a business. And by the way, if you have a business and you started it, you did build it. And you deserve credit for that. It was not built for you by government. And by the way, we pay for government. Government doesn’t come free. The people who begin enterprises, the people who work in enterprises, they’re the ones paying for government. So his whole philosophy is an upside-down philosophy that does not comport with the American experience. And if we want to get people working again–and that’s my priority–if we want to get people working again, we have to celebrate success and achievement and not demonize it and denigrate the people who have worked hard, who are smart, who have made the kinds of investments to build a brighter future.
KUDLOW: But…
Gov. ROMNEY: Whether this is by succeeding in their job or starting a new enterprise.
KUDLOW: Do you think that–do you think that President Obama has demonized you and your experiences at Bain Capital? And do you–are you satisfied with your response, you know, to the timing when you left Bain Capital or investments in overseas operations and things of that nature? Do you think you have more work to do on your Bain Capital story?
Gov. ROMNEY: Look, I’m very proud of my experience at Bain Capital. I hope people understand that I was investing other people’s money for them and was compensated if we were highly successful. And the returns came to groups that included charities and college endowments. Those are the people who received the greatest rewards from our successes. We were also able–I saw a report by the current partners of Bain Capital over the history of the firm, which I helped start, they made some 350 investments, 80 percent of which grew. That’s the kind of record which I’m pretty proud of.
The most astute comment during Romney’s slamming of Barack Obama is as Doug Ross states, “its we who pay for the government”. Interestingly enough, even after all the negative Obama campaign ads against Romney and Bain Capital, by a 63% to 29% margin Americans prefer Romney over Obama to handle the US economy and say Mit Romney’s background in business, including his time at the private equity firm Bain Capital, makes Romney capable of making good decisions, not bad ones, in dealing with the economy.
Also, according to a recent Rasmussen poll, 72% of Americans believe that small business owners are primarily responsible for their own success.

Obama’s Deficit Reelection Spending, The One Spends More in June Than Took In … Should We Expect Less from Obama?
Barack Obama’s deficit reelection spending …
It looks like Barack Obama is running his 2012 President reelection campaign like he is America, Obama’s deficit reelection spending in June 2012 shows that “The One” spent more than he took in. Guess what Obama did the same thing in May. Also, for the second month in a row, Mitt Romney brought in more money than Barack Obama; however, that did not stop Obama from spending more. Any one sensing a patter here? Obama just can’t help it, he cannot stay within any budget. Of course like the fact that he has not passed a budget in years for the United States, his campaign problem does not have one either.
Amid a heavy barrage of advertising by opposing “super” political groups, President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign spent more than it collected in June. While outraised again by Republican Mitt Romney, Obama ended the month with a hefty $97.5 million in the bank.
Obama tried to answer the super PACs supporting Romney by spending $38.2 million on television advertising. Romney spent less than a third of that – $10.4 million – on TV time.
Romney’s campaign nearly doubled its spending in June compared with the previous month, underscoring the close proximity of the November general election in which Republicans hope to unseat Obama and, in part, dismantle the president’s signature health care overhaul.
As stated by Wake Up America, picking the next President is as simple as this, Obama spends more than he takes in, Romney stays within budget. Who do you think would make a better administrator of the American economy? With the economy being the number one issue, how can America elect a president is cannot seem to spend more than he takes in?

Obama Says Jobs Priority One, That’s Why He Hasn’t Met With Them Publicly in Six Months, But Has Time for Fund Raisers, Vaction and Golf … Romney Says, Obama’s “priority is keeping his own jobs and that is why he is going to lose it.”
Obama’s Jobs Council AWOL … and you wonder why there are being no jobs created? How can anyone justify this while the President conducted 89 fundraisers in the last six months. Obama is obviously concerned more about his own job than helping create those for America.
President Barack Obama has repeatedly said that jobs were his top priority. Really? The jobs numbers hardly show that. But it gets worse, Obama’s Jobs Council has not met publicly for six months. SIX MONTHS!!! Its bad enough there are members on this panel who are CEO’s who outsource jobs, something that Obama has criticized his opponent Mitt Romney for doing while at Bain Capital. All this while millions of Americans are out of work, unemployed and underemployed, Obama’s Jobs Council is MIA.
President Barack Obama’s Jobs Council hasn’t met publicly for six months, even as the issue of job creation dominates the 2012 election.
At this point, the hiatus — which reached the half-year mark Tuesday — might be less awkward than an official meeting, given the hornet’s nest of issues that could sting Obama and the council members if the private-sector panel gets together.
Mitt Romney responded to this news of Obama’s Jobs Council in Bowling Green, Ohio in the video (4:00 mark) below and stated you would think that with a situation so bad in the United States when it comes to comes that the President would spend all of his time on helping people get jobs. Instead in the last six months Obama has held 100 fund raisers and had ZERO meetings with his Jobs Council. Romney went on to say to cheers, his [Obama's] priority is not creating jobs for you, his priority is keeping his own jobs and that is why he is going to lose it.
Mitt Romney holds town hall in Bowling Green, Ohio
White House Press Secretary Jay Carney was questioned by the press as to why Obama’s Jobs Council had not met publicly in six months. After twisting and trying to find an answer to an inexcusable situation, Carney said that the reason why they have not met was because Obama had a lot on his plate. Yup, he was just too busy. That is why is the last six months Barack Oabma has been able to hold 89 fund raisers, go on vacation and play multiple rounds of golf. Yup, Obama has a full plate, too full a plate than to make JOBS his priority. At least he has a plat, unlike millions of Americans without a job and without a home.

And So It Begins … CBS Poll has Obama – Romney Dead Heat, Tied in Virginia after Obama’s Roanoke Incident
DRIP, DRIP, DRIP … And so it begins, could this be the beginning of the end for Barack Obama after his ill advised Roanoke incident where he stated, If you’ve got a business … you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.”
A new CBS News poll has the Presidential race it a dead heat, where Mitt Romney is ahead of Obama 47% to 46%. It actually gets worse for Obama than the poll would indicate. The CBS poll is with “registered” voters, one where Obama usually is ahead in handily. It is the “likely” voter polls where Obama tends to struggle. Also, the poll shows that Republicans are more enthusiastic than Democrats this time around. Real Clear Politics shows that the race is getting much closer.
Republicans are more enthusiastic than Democrats when it comes to voting in this election, though just one in three registered voters overall are more enthusiastic than they were in the past. Roughly half of Republicans say they are more enthusiastic compared to past elections – up from 36 percent in March – while just 27 percent of Democrats say they same.
One in five registered voters with a candidate choice said they still might change their mind. The percentage of those willing to switch was essentially the same for both candidates.
Forty-five percent of registered voters say they are paying close attention to the campaign, and another 38 percent say they are paying some attention. Seventeen percent say they are paying little or no attention.
Barack Obama and Mitt Romney are now tied in Virgina according to a recent Quinnipiac poll. Obama narrowly won VA in the 2008 Presidential election; however, as pointed out by the Weekly Standard, the polls are starting to trend to Romney. One must remember, polls are snap shots in time, it is the trend line that is important.
The pollsters note that this signals a sizable shift in Romney’s direction: “This compares to a 50 – 42 percent lead for President Obama in a March 20 survey by the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University and a 47 – 42 percent Obama lead June 7.”
“Virginia voters are sharply split along gender and political lines about the presidential race. The two candidates equally hold their own political bases and are splitting the key independent vote down the middle,” Quinnipiac’s Peter Brown says.
According to The Hill, the poll also shows that former Sen. George Allen (R-VA.) with a 46-44 percent lead over former Democratic Gov. Tim Kaine in the state’s race for US Senate.
An astute analysis made at Jammie Wearing Fool, “Gee, you suppose calling Romney a felon, compounded with Obama’s shift into full-blown Socialist mode is hurting him? Whodathunkit?” Yup, the silly season is about to come to an end and the American people who are “tired of being tired,” are about to take a good look at who and what Obama is all about and say, we cannot take another 4 years of this.

Mitt Romney Blasts Obama on Insulting Every Entrepreneur in America and Attacking Success … “I find it extraordinary that a philosophy of that nature by a President of the” United States.”
Return of the Jedi … It’s about time he has called Obama on his lies, mis-truths and head shaking centralized, socialist philosophy
Mitt Romney finally took the gloves off in Irwin, PA and blasted President Barack Obama for attacking the American spirit of entrepreneurship and success. Romney’s comments were in response to Obama’s moment of truth where for one of the few times during his presidency he let everyone know what he thought about individual’s success and the role of a large, in your face, all controlling government from birth to grave. Obama’s attack on entrepreneurs, small business and success will resonate through out the election. It will be known as the “Roanoke Incident” where Obama in a moment of weakness and truth gave us a glimpse into his soul. We may look back on the 2012 Presidential election and target this moment as the date that changed the race and the turning point for Mitt Romney and the salvation for America.
Barack Obama says, “If you’ve got a business … you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen” … Mitt Romney says, that this is not only foolishness, it is an insult to ever entrepreneur in America and under a Romney administration we will not have a president that embraces success, not attacks it.
“What the President said was both startling and revealing. I find it extraordinary that a philosophy of that nature
by a President of the” United States.”
