Don’t Look Now But Obama’s lead in Iowa is Declining and Trending Toward Romney

According to a recent PPP poll, President Barack Obama’s lead in Iowa has all but disappeared. The PPP has Obama only leading by 2 points, 47% to 45% and below the 50% threshold usually necessary for an incumbent to win. The poll numbers are heading south for Obama in Iowa.  In July Obama was ahead of Romney 48-43 and in May it was 51-41. It is obvious that the polls are trending to Romney and there is no reason to think that this will not continue. In 2008 Obama won Iowa 54% to 45%. However, what a difference 4 years makes and a failed presidency.

PPP’s newest Iowa poll finds Barack Obama’s lead in the state declining all the way to two points. He’s at 47% to 45% for Mitt Romney. In July we found Obama ahead 48-43 and in May it was 51-41.

Iowa makes yet another swing state where voters don’t really care for either Obama or Romney. Obama’s approval numbers are particularly poor with only 45% of voters approving of him to 50% who disapprove. The fact that he has a small lead in the state despite his under water approval speaks to at least some voters regarding this election as a choice rather than a referendum. Voters aren’t big on Romney either with 47% rating him favorably to 48% with an unfavorable opinion.

Hot Air asks a great question with regards to the polling data, “How is Obama translating a job approval of -5 into a two-point lead? Two ways. First, O more than makes up for Romney’s advantage among men by winning women”.  This is the second in August that has had bad news for Obama. A recent Rasmussen poll had Mitt Romney up over Obama in Iowa 46% to 44%. Check out the polling trend at RCP, Obama is in deep, deep trouble in Iowa.

Guess what Barack Obama was doing today … the fear and smear campaign in Iowa. So much for “Hope & Change”, take a good listen to the bitter and angry voice of Obama. What a difference 4 years makes.

In the ad below, it asks … What does it say about a Presidents character when his campaign tries to use the tragedy of a woman’s death for their political gain? What does it say about a Presidents character when he had his campaign raise money for the  ad and stood by as his top aids were caught lying about it?

There comes a point when a President has to take the responsibility for his actions, agenda and policies. As they say, “the buck stops here”. However, when it comes to Barack Obama, the buck stops with everyone else, especially George W. Bush. To the point where 3+ years into the Obama administration, Jeb Bush, the former Governor of Florida, tells Obama to stop blaming his brother. Of course it has to do with Obama’s failed policies and lack of focus on jobs.

“I mean, look, the guy (Obama) was dealt a difficult hand, no question about it,” Bush said on NBC’s Meet The Press. “But he’s had three years. His policies have failed.”

On another side of the issue, I am curious, why does everyone think that Barack Obama is such a good guy? Seriously, where does this come from? Do we actually consider him a good guy because he is the father of two and has not cheated on his wife? Is that how low we have set the bar? If this is the case, then Mitt Romney is a “great guy”, he has been married to one woman, Ann Romney, and has raised 5 boys and helped take care of his wife through her illnesses. Serioulsy America … nice guy? Have you been paying attention to the vicious. negative campaign that Obama has been running? Likable, hardly.

Back to character … Does this really surprise anyone about the negative ads that Obama has backed and his win at any cost? For all those who buy into the liberal MSM’s narrative that Barack Obama is so likable and people would want to have a beer with him. Really? From Obama’s failed first term in office, the only way you can have a beer with Barack is when he falsely jumps to a conclusion that you were acting stupidly and in a racist manner. Or have we forgotten when Obama made the claims that the Cambridge. MA police acted stupidly? Before Obama knew the facts, The One automatically jumped to the conclusion that Sgt. James Crowley “acted stupidly” for arresting black Harvard scholar Henry Lewis Gates Jr.

Talk about character, or the lack thereof. Remember when President Barack Obama thought it was perfectly ok to go on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and make a derogatory joke about the ‘Special Olympics”?  Because Barack Obama can’t bowl, he made the comment that he bowled like “Special Olympics”. That is what passes as humor for Barack Obama. What character, making a pejorative comments regarding those with special needs who have more talent, honor and class in their pinky than Obama. The Jokester in Chief  puts others down because of  his inept failure to knock down any pins. Heck, Obama can’t throw a baseball either.

I will say this … if Barack Obama is willing to make such a comment as a way to get laughs and denigrate those participants in the Special Olympics in from of millions of views, imagine what he does when no one is watching? Then again, its not like Obama’s former White House Chief of Staff didn’t use the “R” word …  Character Matters!

Obama & Minions So Outraged at Birth Certificate Joke by Romney, Yet Obama Making a “Birther” Joke at 2011 White House Correspondents Dinner Is Perfectly OK

Team Obama, the MSM and the Left claimed to be so outraged by the comments that Mitt Romney made the following comment at a campaign stop in Michigan, “No one has ever asked to see my birth certificate.” That automatically made the Left and the MSM refer to Romney as a ‘birther”. Really, you mean it wasn’t a joke? Suddenly the thin skinned Team Obama folks became morally outraged that how dare Romney make such a comment, joke or no joke.

The disingenuous LEFT even went so far as to call Romney a “birther” even though the Romney had already made it public record that he believed Obama was born in Hawaii. But that did not stop the LEFT and Team Obama from using the joke as a way to try and make it a distraction to the campaign. Anything and everything at all cost to divert from the 8.3% unemployment, record debt and millions of out of work Americans.

DNC Chair, Debbie “Downer” Wasserman Schultz stated that Romney ‘birther’ quip no joke. Really Debbie, you might want to take back those words before you have to eat them. Debbie Wasserman Schultz went on to say that making a joke about a presidents birth certificate, “its beneath some one who is running for President of the United States”. Get a life Debbie … look what Obama said about his own birth certificate in 2011.

Just one question to Team Obama and the unhinged LEFT, how come it is perfectly ok for Barack Obama to make fun of where he was born? He did just that at the 2011 White House Correspondents Dinner where “The Obamamessiah” played a clip from his birth video, see below.

Mitt Romney Says to Home State Crowd, “No One Has Asked To See My Birth Certificate” … Looks Like Thin Skinned Obama Can’t Take a Joke

For those who thought that Mitt Romney did not have a sense of humor, think again. During a campaign stop in his home state of Michigan. Romney made a joke in describing where he was from sayings, “No one has ever asked to see my birth certificate.” Nice.

“I love being home in this place where Ann and I were raised, where both of us were born. Ann was born at Henry Ford hospital, I was born at Harper hospital. No one has ever asked to see my birth certificate. They know that this is the place that we were born and raised.”

But of course the thin skinned Obama campaign and the all-too complicit corrupt liberal mains stream media complex was quick to respond with faux outrage and condemnation. The vile Obama campaign referred to it as “gutter politics” and the MSM was quick to call Romney a “birther”. Really? Where was the outrage when Team Obama and his Super PACS called Romney a murderer, a tax cheat and a felon? Hmm? Of course the media was no where to be found either when Vice-President Biden fanned the flames of racism and made an inference to putting blacks back into slavery with his “chains” coments. But of course that is not gutter politics.

“This is the kind of gutterball politics that will and should turn the American people off,” Psaki told MSNBC. “This is a pattern. Mitt Romney has questioned repeatedly over the last several months whether the president understands America, whether he understands freedom — he’s wrapped his arms around Donald Trump, one of the originators of the birther movement, so we’ve seen a pattern here.”

You would dare compare calling some one a murderer and a felon to some one making a joke? Only liberals try and get away with this type of moral comparisons. So I guess all the late night comedians like Jay Leno and such are “birthers” as well when they poke jabs at Obama and his birth certificate? Romney stated that the comment was not a jab at Obama. But of course it was perfectly ok for Obama and his minions to joke about the incident with Romney, the dog and the car. That of course is fine.

“No, no, not a swipe,” Romney said. “I’ve said throughout the campaign and before, there’s no question about where he was born. He was born in the U.S. This was fun about us, and coming home. And humor, you know — we’ve got to have a little humor in a campaign.”

Honestly, so what if it was? Romney has already gone on the record that he believes that Obama is a US citizen. Since when can’t a candidate make a joke about another? Of course that is only when you are making fun of the thin skinned Barack Obama. Suddenly the Obama campaign is in complete outrage. Too bad they were not so concerned about the economy, unemployment and the out of control debt under Obama.

This is just yet another example of the Obama minions and their lackeys in the MSM trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill and distract from the real issues of the campaign and the major problems in the United States.

Don’t Look Now, Obama Only Ahead by 2 in Nevada … Obama 47% – Romney 45%

Well looky here … Obama is only ahead of Romney by 2% in Nevada.

In yet another battleground state Mitt Romney is gaining ground. As reported by LVRJ, President Obama leads Mitt Romney by ibky two percent, 47% to 45%. Obama won Nevada in 2008 by 12%; however, like in many states that he previously won easily finds himself in a battle in 2012. Why is Nevada in play after a double digit Obama win in 2008? Maybe because when Obama took office Nevada’s unemployment rate was 9.6%, and nearly four years later it stands at 12% and he’s claiming success.” Nevada voters need to ask themselves if they are better off today than they were four years ago. The answer is obviously no.  One has to wonder what the enthusiasm will be like for those who support Obama with a 12% unemployment rate. With the all important Independent vote, Romney is leading Obama 44 percent to 39 percent.

Nevada voters are sharply divided on whether Ryan helps or hurts the GOP ticket and on whether they support or oppose the conservative Wisconsin congressman’s plan to reform Medicare for future retirees, according to the survey commissioned by the Las Vegas Review-Journal and KLAS-TV 8 NewsNow.
