Rhode Island Governor Lincoln Chafee switches Party Affiliation Again, This Time from Independent to Democrat
Changing party affiliation like one changes their underwear … Chafee is a Republican, no Independent, no Democrat … no just a desperate politician.
Rhode Island Gov. Lincoln Chafee is changing party affiliation once again and switching from an independent to the Democrat Party. So Chafee has gone from a Republican to Independent to Democrat. He was never a Republican, Chafee like so many individuals in politics are nothing more than political opportunists who would do, say and change parties to maintain power. But from the Rhode Island Governor who has a job approval rating in the 20′s and who ended Christmas trees, this man will do anything to cling on to power. It’s one thing to change, if your party left you, or one has a true change of political philosophy, it’s quite another to do it for political expedience. This is exactly what is wrong with politics today. There are no statesman, just hangers on who think its their right to hold office. Hopefully, the good people of Rhode Island will toss this disaster out on his can.
Rhode Island Gov. Lincoln Chafee will formally switch his party registration Thursday, abandoning his status as an independent and joining the Democratic Party, the governor’s office told POLITICO.
Chafee quietly informed President Barack Obama of his intention to affiliate as a Democrat after reaching that decision in private, Chafee spokeswoman Christine Hunsinger said. The governor’s office confirmed Chafee’s plans after POLITICO reported that the governor had notified national Democrats that he’d be joining the party.
A former Republican who served with Obama in the Senate, Chafee has struggled with perilously low job approval ratings and faces a difficult reelection fight in 2014

RUT-ROH, Bad News For Obama… Barack Obama’s Approval Rating Mirrors 2010 Midterm Shellacking
From the Weekly Standard, with the 2012 Presidential elections almost upon us, President Barack Obama’s approval ratings look very similar to what they did prior to the 2010 midterm shellacking. The double digit gap in strong disapprove vs. strongly approve also indicate party enthusiasm as to who will actually show up at the polls election day. With such a negative gap for Obama, it makes such polls with a +9D sampling simply bunk.
For all of the wishful thinking in the mainstream press about President Obama’s positioning 40 days before this election, Obama’s approval rating looks remarkably similar to what it was on this date in 2010 — shortly before his party lost a historic 63 House seats and 6 Senate seats. On September 27, 2010 — exactly two years ago — Rasmussen Reports showed Obama’s net approval rating among likely voters to be minus-3 percentage points (with 48 percent approving and 51 percent disapproving). Among those who felt “strongly,” Obama’s net approval rating was minus-14 points (with 27 percent “strongly” approving and 41 percent “strongly” disapproving).

Majority of Voters Believe US is Worse Off Today than 4 Years Ago … President Obama Does Not Deserve Reelection
Majority of Americans think Obama does not deserve reelection and We are not better off today than we were four years ago.
Heading into the Democrat National Convention in Charlotte, NC, according to a Hill poll, 52% if voters believe that the United States is not better off today than it was four years ago. Only 31% of voters believe the nation is in “better condition. No wonder Obama’s minions and mouth pieces cannot answer the question when asked by the media. The simple question like whether are we better off today than we were four years ago, asked of all incumbent President is like asking the Obamaites the mysteries of the universe. As Hot Air stated, instead of answering the Reagan metric, chief Obama advisers David Plouffe, David Axelrod and Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley tried dodging the inevitable question in every presidential election
Also, 54% say that Barack Obama does not deserve reelection based on his job performance. Only 40% believe Obama deserves a second term. This is hardly a glowing endorsement by the voters of Obama.
A majority of voters believe the country is worse off today than it was four years ago and that President Obama does not deserve reelection, according to a new poll for The Hill.
Fifty-two percent of likely voters say the nation is in “worse condition” now than in September 2008, while 54 percent say Obama does not deserve reelection based solely on his job performance.
Only 31 percent of voters believe the nation is in “better condition,” while 15 percent say it is “about the same,” the poll found. Just 40 percent of voters said Obama deserves reelection.

Rasmussen: Uncommitted Voters Have Barack Obama at 20% Job Approval Rating
Obama in serious trouble with uncommitted voters …
Scott Rasmussen reports that those voters who are uncommitted have a 20% job approval rating for President Barack Obama. It is the exact reason why when an incumbent president polls below 50% that they are in trouble when it comes to reelection. Those that are undecided generally break away from the incumbent and to the challenger. The fact that a meager 20% of those who are uncommitted believe Obama has done well in his first term in office just emphasizes that fact. Even though about 12% of the voters cannot commit to either Obama or Romney, they can agree on one thing … Obama has done a terrible job as President.

Gallup: Barack Obama Job Approval Back to 50% Disapproval
Same as it ever was … Obama is back where he started.
Eventually, what goes up must come down as water and Barack Obama’s job approval rating seeks its own level. Obama’s job approval numbers are one again as the Kinks sang, “back were they started.” As per the most recent Gallup poll, Obama finds his job approval at 50% disapproval and only a 42% approval rating.
At Real Clear Politics, Obama finds his job approval polling underwater in the averaging of polls at 44.5% approval and 50.3 disapproval. This is after so called better economic news with the unemployment rate falling to 8.5%. Why? Intelligent Americans know that the unemployment rate is far worse, gas prices rising and the debt still out of control. Two in one Americans fear the reelection of Barack Obama, and so they should.
