VP Joe Biden Tells Iowans … “Yes, We Do’ Want to Raise Taxes By a Trillion Dollars”

Vice President Joe Biden tells a campaign crowd in Iowa that he and Barack Obama want to raise a trillion dollar in taxes. With all the over spending that our federal government does, the president and Vice President want to tax the rich another trillion dollars. Just what we need, higher taxes on those who own small businesses and of the hiring of Americans. Unbelievable, the class warfare continues. Obama and Biden could tax the rich 100% of their income and it would not put a dent in federal spending.

The Weekly Standard:

“On top of the trillions of dollars of spending that we have already cut, we’re gonna ask – yes – we’re gonna ask the wealthy to pay more,” said Biden. “My heart breaks, come on man. You know the phrase they always use? Obama and Biden want to raise taxes by a trillion dollars. Guess what? Yes we do in one regard. We want to let that trillion dollar tax cut expire so the middle class doesn’t have to bear the burden of all that money going to the super wealthy. That’s not a tax raise, that’s called fairness where I come from.”

Ever wonder why there is no job recovery? With these kind of nut-job comments coming from an Administration that could win another term, no one is going to hire of any substantial amount.

When Libs Attack … Liberals, Progressives, Democrats & MSM Bash Obama for Poor Performance

The Far LEFT has invested so much time, money and energy in Barack Obama, the most liberal President that the United States has ever seen. However, last night following a dreadful, pathetic, lethargic and uninspired Presidential debate performance in Denver … the LIBS lost their collective minds and were LIVID with Barack Obama. However, what the LEFT does not comprehend, is Obama cannot defend his failed record. His political rhetoric may play well with his far Left base, but that is about it. Sound bytes and cute jokes are not looked to kindly buy those who have lost their jobs, homes and businesses.

How bad was it for Obama Wednesday night? Even some of his biggest fans were livid that he let Mitt Romney walk away with a win, and they were not suffering in silence.

Within an hour of the debate ending, liberals and longtime Democratic operatives and pundits took to the airwaves and Twitter to lament the lost opportunity that was the first presidential debate.

Some of the highlights from the losing side:

 

• Commentator and blogger Andrew Sullivan might have captured the collective reaction best with this tweet, “Look, you know how much I love the guy, and how much of a high-info viewer I am, but this was a disaster for Obama.”
• On MSNBC, talk show host Chris Matthews asked incredulously, “Where was Obama tonight?” He suggested that the president take some cues from the liberal voices on the cable channel. “There’s a hot debate going on in this country.
• Comedian Bill Maher, who takes regular hard jabs at conservatives on his television show and who gave $1 million to a super PAC supporting Obama’s reelection, tweeted, “I can’t believe I’m saying this, but Obama looks like he DOES need a teleprompter”
• Even some of the Democratic party’s best spin-meisters threw in the towel on this one. Jim Manley, a former longtime aide to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and the late Sen. Edward Kennedy, tweeted, “What can I say? Romney lives to fight another day.”

After Woeful Obama Debate Performance, Stumbling Obama Surrogate MD Gov. Martin O’Malley Refereed to ‘President Romney’

Not only was President Barack Obama out of sorts, off his game and confused as Obama found it impossible to defend his economic record without the aid of a prepared speech, a teleprompter and a complicit in the tank MSM … Obama’s surrogates were befuddled as well. It was so bad that the shellacking of Obama, his political minions referred to Romney as President Romney.

How resounding was Mitt Romney’s rout of Barack Obama tonight?  In the post-debate spin room, a hopelessly muddled Martin O’Malley, Dem guv from Maryland and supposedly an Obama surrogate, wound up referring to “President Romney”! Freudian slip, anyone?

MARTIN O’MALLEY: So, I don’t think there was a game-changer tonight.  The president did handle himself with a much more dignified reserve [translation: listless]. When President, uh, Governor Romney was tested he got kind of testy. And I thought the president maintained his cool throughout [no pulse!]

LARRY O’DONNELL: What about the president’s cool and the president’s “dignified reserve”, as you put it. Do you think he’s going to have to change that style going forward in these debates?

O’MALLEY: I, uh, I don’t believe so.

O’DONNELL: If you could coach him on the next debate. If you could do ten minutes of coaching with the president on the next debate, based on what you saw tonight, what would you tell him to do differently?

O’MALLEY: Uh, I don’t know.

367,000 First Time Jobless Claims, Up 4000 from Last Week … Another Weak Jobs Report

First time weekly jobless claims are up again to 367,000. That is an increase of 4000 from last week. Yet more poor jobs numbers courtesy of the Barack Obama jobs recovery and Obamanomics. I had speculated that part of last nights poor performance by Obama in the Presidential debate was not just because he was off his game, but instead because it is impossible to defend a failed economic record when he can’t crack jokes and make one-liners. In the end, that is really all Obama is. Obama also might have been glum because he knew that on Thursday there would be a poor jobs report and on Friday, another failing unemployment number for September.

The number of Americans filing new claims for unemployment benefits rose less than expected last week, according government data on Thursday that suggested a mild improvement in the labor market.

Initial claims for state unemployment benefits climbed 4,000 to a seasonally adjusted 367,000, the Labor Department said.

The prior week’s figure was revised up to show 4,000 more applications than previously reported.

Economists polled by Reuters had forecast claims rising to 370,0000 last week. The four-week moving average for new claims, a better measure of labor market trends, was unchanged at 375,000. It was the first time since December last year that the four-week average was unchanged.

A Labor Department official said there were no special factors influencing the report and no states had been estimated.

Barack Obama’s policies are an EPIC FAILURE and in a debate, he has no where to run.

MITT ROMNEY WINS FIRST DEBATE IN LANDSLIDE … TONIGHT ROMNEY DEFINED ROMNEY!!!

Tonight you witnessed what happens to a President when you cannot defend your record, the MSM is not their to bail you out, there is no teleprompter to read from and you actually have to face tough questions. Barack Obama has had a free ride from the MSM, until tonight and he folded like a cheap suit.

For anyone who watched tonight’s first 2012 Presidential debate between GOP challenger Mitt Romney and President Barack Obama, they walked away with the notion that Romney won the debate hands down. Even the most ardent liberals were perplexed and out of sorts as Obama seemed unprepared and at a loss for words when it came to the economy, federal debt and jobs. Obama struggled for words to describe how he would put America back to work. How bad was it for Obama? Lefty comedian and $1 million Obama donor Bill Maher made the following tweet … ” I can’t believe I am saying this, but Obama DOES need a teleprompter”.  Not only did he need the TOTUS, he needed a life line, call a friend and the help of the liberal corrupt media complex. Tonight Obama was exposed for the fraud and epic failed President that he truly is. Honestly, it was not so much that Obama was flat, or off his game as the MSM claims, its simply a matter that 4 years of a failed economy, jobs, debt and foreign policy is hard to defend when one has to face the music.

He did that in the crucial first 40 minutes of Wednesday night’s debate, addressing Obama respectfully, even warmly — but then tangling with a sometimes hazy and professorial Obama on taxes and deficits.

“You don’t just pick the winners and losers — you pick the losers,” he told Obama of his energy investments, sliding time and time again into a second person singular address calculated to level the rhetorical playing field.

Romney departed dramatically from the hard conservatism of his primary campaign, downplaying the scope of his tax cuts.

“There will be no tax cut that adds to the deficit,” he said, without fully explaining how he’d accomplish that.

After the first segment of taxes, Mitt Romnet had beaten uo Obama so badly that Baracjk Obama was begging the moderator Jim Leher to please for the love of God switch to another topic. Wow, the Emperor Obama has no clothes.

Mitt Romney slams Obama for Wasting 2 Years on Obamacare instead of focusing on jobs

As flat, uninformed and only using class warfare of Obama was, Mitt Romney was just the opposite. Romney came out of the box like the Energizer bunny and kept hitting Obama with his failed record and explained how he would fix America. Romney explained how he would sit down with Republicans and Democrats and bring leadership to Washington, DC. Romney stated he has done it before and he will do it again.

This is a devastating night for the left. It’s a collective meltdown over there. Ed Schultz just said that Mitt Romney was “in his wheelhouse on the economy.” And Chris Matthews was literally going ballistic. I’ll be looking for the video and will update.

More Denver Debate analysis from The American Thinker, “To my eyes, Obama looked uncertain and a little scared  — especially his eyes. Romney looked far more confident and in charge.’

Romney was aggressive, yet polite and friendly, and demonstrated a stronger knowledge of issues than the president did.

The body language clearly sbowed Romney was in charge. Obama frequently looked down when Romney was speaking or made a point, and Romney looked right at Obama with clear eyes.
